This is a new resort/hotel - in fact, you can see the swimming pool still under construction, so the rooms are large, clean and new. Coming from Le Meridian Thimpu, I actually had a bit of culture shock. Not sure if it’s due to the hotel brand or the city. Probably the location. I was disappointment afterwards too when I shifted to Le Meridian Paro. In the case of Dhensa, I find their service perfect to a fault. It’s as if their flawless performance is more important than actually meeting needs.
The hotel is located directly below a nunnery of about a hundred nuns. You can walk uphill to visit. It is only 5 minutes away.
The restaurant manager is new, from Pakistan, and very sensitive to the guests. We had two breakfasts and two dinners there during our stay and I noticed that as the nationalities of the hotel guests shift, the menu change accordingly too. Kudos to the restaurant manager!
We tried the spa, which is awesome. Definitely recommend.
The view here is really unworldly beautiful. Putting everything else aside, the view from the room is good enough a strong reason to come back again. 赞!
