The resort is located at a very picturesque location. You wake up to the sound of singing birds. Lush green pine trees surround the hotel. The staff is Courteous and attend to every minute detail.Rooms are spotlessly clean A special mention to Mr Yogeshwar ,the manager who arranged a cake and also room decor at very short notice as it was my wedding anniversary. Came back with many happy memories. Highly recommended.

This is an absolutely beautiful property. The rooms are simply and elegantly furnished and extremely comfortable. No wicked steps to trip you up at 3 am in the morning as you go into the bathroom as per all the other hotels we have stayed at in Bhutan. Best of all there is a balcony where you can look out over the beautiful Punakha valley. Yes, the drive up is windy and bumpy and at the moment there are roadworks which are a bit of a pain but it’s all worth it when you get there. All the rooms are set in the forest and in the morning the white fog sits in the valley below and the mountains tower above. Scenic beyond words. The food is buffet style and excellent. We stayed three nights and would’ve loved to stay longer.

This is a new resort/hotel - in fact, you can see the swimming pool still under construction, so the rooms are large, clean and new. Coming from Le Meridian Thimpu, I actually had a bit of culture shock. Not sure if it’s due to the hotel brand or the city. Probably the location. I was disappointment afterwards too when I shifted to Le Meridian Paro. In the case of Dhensa, I find their service perfect to a fault. It’s as if their flawless performance is more important than actually meeting needs. The hotel is located directly below a nunnery of about a hundred nuns. You can walk uphill to visit. It is only 5 minutes away. The restaurant manager is new, from Pakistan, and very sensitive to the guests. We had two breakfasts and two dinners there during our stay and I noticed that as the nationalities of the hotel guests shift, the menu change accordingly too. Kudos to the restaurant manager! We tried the spa, which is awesome. Definitely recommend. The view here is really unworldly beautiful. Putting everything else aside, the view from the room is good enough a strong reason to come back again. 赞!

We booked one night here, arriving late in the evening and leaving early the following morning : in fact the period of our stay coincided with bad weather conditions — avalanches and flooding blocked the main connecting road.|Despite our late arrival they still made us dinner for us which we were very grateful for .|Although we didn’t have enough time to fully experience the hotel our impression was of a room ( spacious) with a large bathroom( with both a bathtub and a shower) that could be found anywhere in the world , rather impersonal lacking the Bhutanese charm , that can make a difference here .|However the following morning it was a bright day and we truly appreciated the scenic view from our room’s balcony : it was then that we realised we were in the middle of a forest and that was really nice , A pity though , about the construction work right below the balcony , where pool is being built there - for we would recommend asking for a room away from the construction area when making a reservation -|Breakfast was very rich and he restaurant was very brightly lit in a lovely location overlooking the forest. |Anna and Francesco from Italy

Had a long drive through seemingly several mountains before reaching here. Wondered how this resort perched itself on the mountain. It is a beautiful place, room is big. There are seats at the balcony to be closer to ‘nature’. Only used the TV to watch youtube videos because i could not get international channels, Disney+, Netflix. The resort has a cultural performance at 6:30PM when staff will dance to a few song. Resort guests will be invited at the end.

Arriving at the Dhensa Boutique Resort was wonderful after a challenging trek. The setting is beautiful, up in the hills outside of Punakha, and we had a lovely room looking out into the trees. A short massage at the spa was exactly what our tired legs needed. The restaurant is a beautiful place to sit, and had more personality than some of the other hotel restaurants we experienced. The restaurant staff were very happy to adapt the food for our dietary requirements, with the Indian and Bhutanese food from the a la carte menu excellent. The staff were all friendly and welcoming.

We moved to this hotel after a night in Thimphu. It was wow from the word go. Beautiful hotel nested in the mountain. The place feels brand new and so clean. The room we had overlooked into the nature. So calming. I love the restaurant. So cosy. The food during buffet breakfast and dinner was good. Just too bad there was a tour group that was quite loud during our stay. Kind of kills the mood and ambience. Thankfully we have a corner table away from the main group. Service is very good. The hotel other than the restaurant during meals is quiet. Lovely hotel. A gem .

Incredible location amidst a forest, on the top of a hill. This resort is built in a very modern yet traditional style, a real treat to the eyes. Rooms are very spacious and very comfortable, including the bathrooms. Wonderful water pressure and temperature. We only stayed for a day - wish we had spent another day here. We also had our dinner and breakfast here and they were both so delicious! They took real good care of us.
