We stayed at Dhigali Maldives as a family with my parents. We are Indian and vegetarian and booked a Water Villa with Pool for 4 nights. The resort is beautiful, peaceful, and well maintained.
We were pleasantly surprised with early check-in and late check-out without asking, which made our stay very comfortable.
Although Indian vegetarian food was not listed in the restaurants, the team handled this exceptionally well. On arrival, we were introduced to Chef Varnith from India, who took excellent care of us throughout the stay. He prepared a wide variety of delicious dishes every day, including South Indian, North Indian, chaat, Thai curries, chaas, and masala chai. His support truly stood out.
Special thanks to Saffah, who welcomed us and was always available on WhatsApp. The Senior Executive Chef was also very helpful and attentive.
Improvements:
The transfer staff handling airport–seaplane–resort transfers (arrival and departure) were less attentive compared to how some other nationalities were treated, which impacted our first and last impressions. A few staff in the reception/lounge area felt unwelcoming. The in-room service, while polite, was sometimes slow.
Overall, a very good experience, especially for Indian vegetarian families. With more consistency in transfers and front-of-house service, Dhigali could easily be a 5-star experience.
