"In Athens, a new cultural space has opened in a former tobacco factory. Though the city has seen its fair share of new cultural institutions in the past couple of years, a 6,500 sq m space still feels like something of an exception. Many suspect that it could offer a new lease on life to the Kolonos neighborhood and it looks like they might be right. Neon’s first exhibition, Portals – which investigates the relationship between disruption and artistic creation – has already drawn in a slew of locals since it opened on 11 June. The show runs until the end of 2021."

Amazing location, building is perfect for hosting art venues and expos. Also the stuff working there was really polite and helpful. I would recommend visiting during the week preferably in the morning or early during the afternoon so that it won't be crowded. Perfect place for taking photos as well

Aesthetically pleasing architecture. Can't really understand the contemporary art though but cool I guess. It's free too. They were aware of film sensitivity to x-rays and didn't scan our cameras through the machine which was pretty cool. The residential area around the museum is also pretty chill

Very nice museum. Definitely worth visiting. They do different expeditions ever couple of months. Great show of old tobacco factory with different rooms that can be seen like control rooms and nice cafeteria with a lot of natural light. Was a fun experience would definitely recommend. Tickets are free but must still be purchased.

The Lenorman Street Tobacco Factory is listed by the Ministry of Culture as a historical monument .The building was bestowed in its entirety to the Hellenic Parliament. Today, it houses the services and Departments of the Library of Parliament and hosted several exhibitions of the NEON organization for Cultural Programmes on Contemporary Art . The last one was #dreamon #neonorganization . Worth visiting 100%! #DamienHirst #MichaelLandy, #ThomasHirschhorn, #Marialoizidou, #KostisIoannides #AlexandrosPsychoulis #HelenChadwick

I keep coming back each year, and each year I always leave amazed by the exhibition. Great job. For this year if you have an almost expiring card go before it expires. You will thank me later 😊
