On the Grid : Dialog im Dunkeln

"This exceptional exhibition throws you out of the routine on how most people perceive the world. Here, blind hosts lead small groups through totally dark rooms and let you discover everyday situations and places (created only through smell, sound, temperature and texture) in a totally different light; social roles get reversed and a new view on the world opens up. Apart from the exhibition a dinner in the dark and team building courses are offered." - Boom

Great interactive experience! Only suggestion for the Dialoghaus: on the website is strongly recommended to arrive there 20 minutes before the start of the tour, which we did, but we were picked up by the guide only at the time the tour was supposed to start, so the 20 minutes waiting time was not that necessary...

I went into this tour with no expectations, as my wife and I joined one of the last Dialogue in Silence tours of the day. It turned out to be an intimate experience, just us and our guide, Tobias. He was charismatic and resourceful, he was able to explain things by just signing to us and when we didn’t understand he would try a different way of signing. I’ve never met someone who could make us laugh so much without speaking a single word. Thank you, Tobias, for such a memorable experience and for sharing your world with us. I would recommend this to anyone with an hour to spare in Hamburg.

Amazing experience ! Very unique and everyone should try this. We experience the life of a blind person, and our guide was a blind person, i believe her name was eva, she was amazing. You use your senses and see the daily struggles our world put in the way of blind people. Very eye opening.

Amazing experience! Me and my daughter had an amazing time and enjoyed ourselves so much in Dialog im Stillen. Not only we learned new experiences in sign language but also understanding on how much we can communicate through the use of our body, facial expressions and gestures. Kudos to Our guide (he was amazing). Highly recommend!

This was a really cool experience navigating everyday life through the eyes of the blind (pun intended). The staff was very kind and the tour was well organized. Highly recommended!

Google
really meaningful experience that tries to give an insight into the life of the visually impaired. i did the dialogue in the dark tour which is about an hour. While blinded in total darkness, we had to perform tasks like climbing over steps, navigating through a room, ordering drinks and getting a seat i recommend everyone, adults and kids alike, to try this out.

An extraordinary and interesting place. It helps to plunge into the world of other sensations and understand other people. Special thanks to the guides - they tell us about the world in a professional and loving way and lead us into the world of other perceptions
