On the Grid : Dialog im Dunkeln

"This exceptional exhibition throws you out of the routine on how most people perceive the world. Here, blind hosts lead small groups through totally dark rooms and let you discover everyday situations and places (created only through smell, sound, temperature and texture) in a totally different light; social roles get reversed and a new view on the world opens up. Apart from the exhibition a dinner in the dark and team building courses are offered." - Boom

Amazing experience! Me and my daughter had an amazing time and enjoyed ourselves so much in Dialog im Stillen. Not only we learned new experiences in sign language but also understanding on how much we can communicate through the use of our body, facial expressions and gestures. Kudos to Our guide (he was amazing). Highly recommend!

An unforgettable and eye-opening experience! We were deeply impressed by the excellent time management and the efficient organization of the tour. The guides were incredibly professional and what made it even more impactful was that they were visually impaired themselves. In fact, we never even saw our guide, which added to the authenticity and immersion of the experience. At first, our students felt intimidated by the complete darkness, but they quickly adapted. With the help of the guide’s voice, their peers, and the use of canes, they learned to navigate unfamiliar spaces using only sound and touch. It was a powerful simulation of how the visually impaired experience daily life, walking through a park, crossing a bridge, navigating streets, or even ordering at a restaurant. This experience not only built empathy but also helped students develop a deep sense of gratitude for their own vision. A truly meaningful and educational journey that will stay with them for a long time. Will surely come again next year with a new batch of students,

Amazing experience ! Very unique and everyone should try this. We experience the life of a blind person, and our guide was a blind person, i believe her name was eva, she was amazing. You use your senses and see the daily struggles our world put in the way of blind people. Very eye opening.

This was a really cool experience navigating everyday life through the eyes of the blind (pun intended). The staff was very kind and the tour was well organized. Highly recommended!

I have two experiences to share: The positive: I booked Dialogue In The Dark "English". This was a fabulous experience. Our guide spoke English (as advertised) and so did all the guests. I can't say enough good things about this. It was amazing. The negative: I booked the Dinner In The Dark "English". Had I known beforehand what awaited it me, I would've never participated in this absolute nightmare. I was put with 20 Germans in a group. The entire thing (apart from a few sentences in English by the waiters) was in German. To sit in 2 hours in darkness, feeling completely ostracized, not understanding a thing, loud laughter, chattering and even shouting was a horrible experience. And what's even worse is when I contacted the company and complained about the false advertising, and rightfully so, as this was far from being an English experience, they didn't even have the decency to reply. I repeatedly voiced my dissatisfaction with their service only to be completely ignored. A MAJOR disappoinment. So I will close with this: I truly question the values of this company. They have no problems charging high prices for their so-called services. Taking my €160 Euros for the dinner was not an issue for them. But to pay me the minimum respect of answering my emails, as an unhappy customer, is something they clearly can't be bothered with. Google doesn't allow me to give zero stars. ZERO stars. A horrendous experience.

Google
really meaningful experience that tries to give an insight into the life of the visually impaired. i did the dialogue in the dark tour which is about an hour. While blinded in total darkness, we had to perform tasks like climbing over steps, navigating through a room, ordering drinks and getting a seat i recommend everyone, adults and kids alike, to try this out.

An extraordinary and interesting place. It helps to plunge into the world of other sensations and understand other people. Special thanks to the guides - they tell us about the world in a professional and loving way and lead us into the world of other perceptions
