I would go here for the view alone. This busy cafe stands at the base of a stunning cliff walk and overlooks the spitting ocean and three rock-enclosed pools, otherwise known as the pollock holes.
However, that's not the only reason to select Diamond Rocks as your choice of cafe in this picturesque seaside village. The food is home-made and tasty and the juice is freshly squeezed.
Seductive desserts wait behind the glass, tempting even the most abstemious amongst us. This is a red-light district for the sweet tooth.
The savoury food is great too. You can choose from seafood chowder, soup, open sandwiches, panini, toasties, pizza, and much more. The coffee's good and there are many types of hot drinks to choose from. One can also buy beer here.
The walls are adorned with beautiful paintings (which are for sale) and tea sets so pretty you'll wish you were a five-year-old girl, hosting tea parties for your dolls.
After indulging in all the cafe has to offer, you can play a game of pitch and putt (the course lies just behind), swim in the pollock holes or wander up the cliff. Kilkee doesn't do guilty.
