Diana Brown B&B just got everything right. Good communication (I booked direct and this I found much better than using an agent like booking.com). Lovely greeting, clear explanation, very helpful on information. Lent you free towels for mud baths. Breakfast fresh, good selection, no rush. Staff friendly. Rooms spotless clean, good size and comfortable. Felt homely yet retained privacy. No pressure, just relax atmosphere.

Well run family B&B. Breakfast served on a lovely terrace, with good fresh produce (fruit in particular). Great service, helpfully arranged complementary transport to Canetto beach (with reduced lido price). They are connected with the Di Massimo tour agency(we really enjoyed the Stromboli trip (again with a reduction). Would definitely recommend.

We (two adults, two kids) stayed here for one night in mid December and it was marvellous. All rooms were spotless. There wasn't a speck of dust anywhere in the whole complex! Elena was very helpful. The rooms are clean, spacious and lovely and quiet. The location is fantastic - a few steps and you are in Lipari's glorious main street. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it is a great option for a winter European holiday. Lot's of sun and blue skies in Sicily. This would surely rate as one of the best B&B locations in Europe. Many thanks to Elena and her team. Cheers.

Highly recommend! We stayed three nights in early October. The weather was superb that time of year. The B&B is a delight! The owners and staff are kind, accommodating and lovely to chat with. They are truly motivated to make the stay great. The bed was comfortable, room was spacious, nice bathroom. The B&B is in a laneway 10 min stroll from the ferry dock. It was quiet and very clean. The breakfast was incredible - coffees of our choice, croissants, homemake pies or cakes, meat and cheeses etc. We were there as a couple but it would also be fine for a single person. Friendly and safe. The staff provided beach towels, tour, restaurants and town information. So glad we found Diana Brown. Thanks for a great stay! ps. we did a tour around Lipari and to the nearby island of Salina. The boat stopped several times for us to go swimming in the most beautiful blue - green sea. It was great!

A delightful find! This a small, family-run B&B in walking distance of everything in Lipari and spotlessly clean. Breakfasts are on a charming roof terrace (or inside if wet) and the buffet is set up in a large kitchen - a system that works well. Delicious cakes, croissants, and coffee and masses of fruits and homemade jams. The terrace is beautifully decorated with local pottery and tiles. ||Whilst we were at breakfast, our room had already been valeted - you wouldn’t get this even in a 5-star Hilton!||Rooms were comfortable and the shower a delight. ||Staff very friendly and helpful, even after check-out. Very useful in arranging boat trips! ||Highly recommended.

Coming from ever bustling and sometimes overwhelming Naples we were happy to spend a few days on Lipari before continuing our travels on Sicily. It was the end of October and the island was not too busy any more, though not yet forgotten by visitors. We arrived a bit late at night as the ferry service ran irregular but our host at Diana Brown waited for us in the office and welcomed us cordially. We stayed in two of the upper rooms, one with a terrace for me and my wife and one with a balcony for our sons. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean and the terrace was a real treat. Sitting at night with an cup of tea while hearing the nearby church carillon playing its hourly tune had a deep soothing effect dissolving all accumulated tension. Breakfast was good with both sweet and savoury choices. Lipari is small but has lots to explore. We especially enjoyed the uphill part with the castle and the basilica. The paintings in the ceiling of the basilica are of magnificent beauty and the ancient norman cloister a gem in its simple beauty. We also took the ferry to Vulcano and climed its sulphur fuming volcano. We really enjoyed our stay.

In Lipari I always stay at Diana Brown. Elena and Massimo are great hosts, the rooms are cosy, colourful and clean, breakfast buffet is a dream and got even better from year to year. I love getting a good choice of local products in the morning.
Massimo also organises great tours to Vulcano and Stromboli. Next time, again Diana Brown!
