On the Grid : Diana Cazadora

"Built from 1938 to 1942, this fountain is a representation of the Greek goddess Artemis. For more than 25 years, the naked sculpture wore bronze underwear because of the conservative nature of the city. It was until the Olympics in 1968 that the underwear was removed, damaging the original sculpture. The sculptor, Juan Olaguíbel, decided to cast another piece. The original one is now located in the state of Hidalgo. This fountain is a marks the boundary between Colonia Juárez and Colonia Cuauhtémoc." - Arlette Go

We went to have breakfast at this restaurant on Saturday (02/01/2025, first impression; very elegant a very warm welcoming by the host, after looking around we decided to have the buffet instead of à la carte. The buffet was extensive and very nice, you get one main dish from a special menu. I decided the eggs Benedict, my companion and egg dish. You will see in the picture that they look pretty good, when I cut into them , the egg whites were still raw and running and watery, they didn't strain them properly, the Hollandaise sauce was tasteless and too thick, a place with this quality cuisine could not have made this, I thought, but I did not complain, maybe I should have. The service was very nice and attentive. The price is high as I expected it to be, but I was expecting better food. I regret to say that I do not recommend it. A waiter recommended the Sunday buffet and described it to be delicious, so we went on Sunday to see for our selves, I asked the hosts if we could have a look, she said they were seating some people first, so I sat down and waited, after they sat down the three parties they had there they just were taking to themselves( three hosts) and never bother to show me the buffet, again they were not busy at all, I just left. Disappointing, will not recommend

Diana’s restaurant is located on the third (3rd) floor of the St. Regis hotel in the Cuauhtémoc district in CDMX .The restaurant’s layout enables interior dining and patio dining capabilities. The staff is amazing and attentive , providing each guest with the right amount of attention. The ambiance is superb and most especially, are the exquisite menu options. The chef’s tasteful designs and masterful configuration of artisan culinary brilliance makes one’s palate appreciate and savor food in a different breadth. I cannot wait to try more food from the menu when I return to CDMX. Excellent dining experience.

Diana - St Regis has the best Sunday Brunch! This was our fifth time and we loved it. Great service, food, ambiance, and staff make it amazing. Highly recommend for a relaxed brunch with bottomless Veuve Clicquot and Mexican-style sangria. Special thanks to Diego (server), Omar (supervisor), Jacobo (server), Charlie (aguachile station), Juan (server), Aranza (Housekeeping), who helped me find available restrooms, and Gabriela (host).

We were looking for a restaurant and Diana’s came up as a suggestion with great reviews. To our surprise, it was located at The St. Regis hotel and had a pretty fancy ambiance. Even though we felt somewhat underdressed, we were greeted warmly and the service was top-notch. I ordered a club sandwich, which tastes better that in the picture I posted here. My son had fish and chips, while my younger son wanted mac and cheese, which wasn’t on the menu. Impressively, the kitchen made it for him as a special order. My wife enjoyed a fresh salad and the Patron chicken, both of which she found delicious. All in all, it was a fantastic dining experience. We didn’t review the price range before visiting, so we were a tad bit surprised that it cost us about $150US for a family of four in Mexico City. However, considering the quality of the food, the exceptional service, and the overall experience, it was worth every penny.

This is a place with a pleasant atmosphere and good drinks. The kitchen is quite ordinary. Price/quality ratio 4 out of 5.

Had dinner here one night and mostly enjoyed it. The appetizers were very good, fresh, nicely presented and delicious. The steak was very good and the sides were good, too. But the lamb (or goat) was sooooo bad, only fast and sinew, bad taste....I hardly ate a third of it. Drinks were great and service was outstanding.

Yelp
Beautiful roof-top bar/restaurant in Mexico City located inside St Regus hotel. It is located somewhat between Roma Norte / Condesa and very close to El Angel de la Indepencia square. We came in on our last day in the City and really enjoyed quality service and very nice selection of food. We ordered a chicken ceasar salad, tuna tostada, octopus and a few more things to share with friends. In my opinion the view is better than the food, but keep in mind, Mexico City food is very high quality and we were spoiled by many many 5 star meals. That said food was certainly good and we enjoyed our meal. Food: 3.5 stars Atmosphere / view: 5 stars Service: 4 stars Tips: Busy neighborhood Located on top floor of St. Regus hotel 3-4 out of 5 on food 5 of 5 on atmosphere and view 4 of 5 service

Yelp
A super convenient place to grab something quick - or to just relax for a moment while grabbing something quick. The service was good. The terrace atmosphere is great. The bar is efficient. The food is where it falls a little short. The Caesar salad with grilled chicken I had for lunch didn't actually say it came with chicken on the menu and the dressing was sparse to the point where most of the lettuce was dry. It looked much better than it tasted on that front, but the chicken was actually very good. I would treat this as most hotel restaurants. It is there if and when you need it, but you will find something a lot better elsewhere.

Yelp
We dined at Diana a number of times during our stay at the hotel - the food is serviceable (it reflects the overall quality of hotel fare throughout CDMX - it's okay, but you can do much better if you venture outside). The breakfast buffet is a great value (it includes an entree from the main menu, in addition to the buffet items). Definitely order something fresh from the kitchen if you do come here for breakfast, because the buffet is really lackluster as far as selection and quality (all of the hot items are closer to room temp; the yogurt/dairy is kept at room temp, too... I realize that that might reflect the food safety preferences of the region, but it's not mine!). Service is very good, although you may struggle to get drink refills (coffee in particular for some reason). The pan dulce selection quite nice - save room for dessert.

Yelp
This was in the St Regis and we got free breakfast there due to Marriott status. The food and service were great. Would highly recommend.

Yelp
Mexico City hospitality at its finest. I've had 2 dinners here, both on the third story patio overlooking the street below. Live lounge music set the tone for each meal and we were treated to creative amuse bouche while we awaited our meals. Birria and Potato Gnocci with whipped sweet potato we're divine.

Yelp
The food was quite bad, and a stuffy atmosphere. But, the drinks and coffee were good. Overall a disappointing experience. Service was ok.

Yelp
Don't waste your time or money when CDMX has so much amazing food! The only reason I'm not giving this place 1 star is because the restaurant is beautiful and the service was good. The food- aesthetically it was pretty, but it was the worst meal I had in CDMX. I expected the food to be excellent because it's (1) CDMX and (2) a St. Regis! Appetizers- Octopus tacos, needed spice, flavor, and definitely some citrus. Beautiful presentation but just disappointing to eat. Entrees- I had the fish which was boring and tasteless. It came with rice which was Mexican rice with frozen vegetables in it. The only redeeming thing about the rice was the cute little pot it came in. My friend had the filet mignon, it was butterflied. Yep, they ruined a perfectly good piece of meat by butterflying it:( Her meal came with little garlic potatoes (also in an adorable pot), those were good. Didn't bother getting desert but we did have coffees that came with a bite size lemon pastry that was nice.

Yelp
Diana is a rooftop style restaurant with amazing service. I highly recommend to try there gnocchi over pumpkin purée and also their tortilla soup. Best tortilla soup I've had. Some of their desserts are nice too. I would come back here.

Yelp
Delicious breakfast. Terrific service when a waiter can speak English, not that it is his fault when he can't. I'm not quite sure how to square what's listed as one of the best restaurants in Mexico DF serving purified and carbonated Nestle water in a can when on ordered agua mineral con gas! At the St. Regis no less. I recommend for the food and ambience. If you want fresh brewed coffee, have it before you come.

Yelp
The place is clearly pretentious, so we kinda knew what we were getting into, that being said, nothing could've prepared me for the kale salad... For some reason, the kale is drenched in a sweet chili pepper sauce with some vinegary aftertaste. And I don't mean dressing, I mean is DRENCHED in it. It took me one bite to regret my order, regret being in this table on the terrace and almost regret coming to Mexico City. It's simply inedible. As for the seafood birria it was ok, hey, it's a bowl of birria; the downside? I've tried much better birrias in the street and they're definitely not this expensive. I get it, the originality counts but when you literally serve a bowl of birria for +/- 300 pesos, you're on the wrong side of gastronomy.

Yelp
Fabulous dining experience that will leave you feeling posh. Like the hotel, the restaurant had outstanding service. Dinner started with a complementary amuse bouche, which was even redesigned when they realized we had vegetarians. My beetroot salad was a work of art with an incredibly creamy and flavorful goat cheese. The tamarind dessert was an avant garde presentation of distinct flavors and textures, and almost too pretty to eat until realizing how delicious it was.

Yelp
Diana is St Regis main restaurant serving breakfast every morning including an incredible brunch, lunch and dinner. Attended their Christmas Eve dinner and was perfect. Menu serving a variety of Mexican touch dishes. Outside tables count with a beautiful view.

Yelp
Located in the St Regis with a great view of Paseo De La Reforma and Diana the Hunter Fountain. Ask for a table to see the fountain! Five star goes to the service here. The brunch, that we went to, runs about $1500mxn pp if you do the alcohol. Again, service is outstanding. The servers are very attentive, and there for whatever you need. Jaime was our server, and was excellent! The selection is not very much for a brunch, hence the one star less. Although you can order food that is not readily available, I just felt again that it was not much of a selection. We had the sushi, meh...pretty tastless. Had the steak and veggies prepared...very good...not the best, but very good, and cooked to order. Had some cerviche...not bad. Not the best, but not bad. Friend had an american breakfast, coffee, and some mexican food. All was good, but again, not the best ever. We also had mimosas, that stayed full the whole time we were there. Dishes were clear very quickly, almost as we were done. Again the service is top notch. Had a couple of desserts that were ok. Again, not the best, but good. Would definitely go back as we did not try the prime rib or pasta area.
