16 Best Swimming Holes in the U.S.

"This string of pools linked by small cascades on New Hampshire's Lucy Brook in Bartlett is a popular spot for families in the summer thanks to its easy accessibility via a short hike. The trail can get wet, so waterproof hiking shoes are recommended. When the water levels reach peak flows, which vary throughout the year, the setting puts on a fantastic natural show. It does get crowded, so come early if you want to photograph the pools without anyone in them." - Travel + Leisure Editors

Great place for a family friendly experience. Just be cautious of climbing on the rocks, it can be slippery. Very scenic and beautiful rock formations with waterfalls. Nice place to picnic but get there early because it's a popular attraction

Parking is in an open gravel parking lot. There is a box at the entry to the trail where you pay through honor system. Restrooms are located at the entry too. Nice hike through lush forest next to the stream. There are small ponds and waterfalls past Diana's Bath. Hiking trail is not easy but less than an intermediate-level hike for some parts.

Great little day trip. Beautiful spot to take littles to swim. It's a bring in take out place. No trash cans near the falls. Bit of a walk to get there, but it's mostly a walk. All shaded! Short drive from down town north Conway. Super easy find.

Diana's Baths is a series of interconnected pools and waterfalls that you can explore and swim in at your own pace. There is a parking lot that you need a pass for but you can buy it there for $5. If you are fond of nature you will enjoy this spot. There is about a 15 min walk down a nice forest trail to get there. In my opinion it's one of the must see things in N Conway. It's very relaxing and also fun to explore. Nature score is a 9 out of 10 for sure!

A past time we have been enjoying with family every year since 1998! Such an iconic spot. The rainfall for the year determines how beautiful the falls will be. Easy half a mile walk to the falls then climb the rocks yourself or with your kiddos, grandkids and pups. Bring water or hiking shoes with you. Last but not least, get there before 8:30 because the line backs up out the entrance.

Very beautiful outdoor experience. If you're visiting North Conway you should stop by and take a look. Get there early because parking is very limited.

A pretty spot. I came here when I was a kid with my family. My mom came here when she was a kid. A classic spot for NH site seeing. Fairly easy hike with a payoff. Being water shoes to play in the baths. There is also a sink hole to jump into. It’s 9 feet deep and only a couple of feet wide and long. A fun adventure!

GET THERE EARLY. Yes, you will probably have to wait for parking... We got there at 1pm on a Tuesday and had to wait 40 minutes to park (there is no other parking or even road side parking near by). The hike was a bit further than I thought it would be... About 3/4 of a mile through the woods. Make sure you bring WATER SHOES, NOT FLIPFLOPS. the rocks are super slick and we saw a dozen people land on their butts trying to cross the falls in them.
