Diani Marine Divers Village

Some of the best hospitality I’ve had in a long time. The staff was so genuine & warm, the location is perfect, private path to beach, walking distance to restaurants, shops, bank… Breakfast was amazing. They even went above & beyond to get me my necklace that had fallen of me in the room when I was leaving & managed to get it to Nairobi for me the next day as I was leaving. The dive staff was also supper accommodating & warm, the equipment was well taken care off and above all professional & safe. Will definitely be back.

Unfortunately, our stay at Diani Marine Village was very disappointing. The man who welcomed us was unfriendly and unhelpful, which was not a great start. While the manager was kind and tried her best to assist us, and the kitchen staff and bartender were polite and professional, the rest of the experience was far from acceptable. The garden is indeed beautiful, but the room itself was a disaster. It had an overwhelming smell of mold, dampness, and mildew – like a wet basement. Everything inside felt humid, and our clothes even started to grow mold. It was hard to breathe in the room. Bugs were crawling in, the toilet flush didn’t work at all, and the shower was broken – we had to bathe with salty water. The bathroom shutters couldn’t even close properly. To make things worse, monkeys broke our dishes and ruined our breakfast twice. Although the manager tried to help where she could, the issues with the room were beyond fixing. For the price we paid, we expected much better. I cannot recommend this place and hope the management seriously considers renovating the rooms and improving guest service.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!!! I paid €150 for a diving activity. I completed only the pool session but had to cancel the boat dive due to illness, and I informed them in advance. Their own website says the pool session costs €35–65, or €20 for late cancellation. Instead of refunding me the fair amount (€85–130), they only gave me €50 and kept €100 with no valid explanation. The day before they kept giving me unclear answers, avoiding a proper response, and when I asked for an official complaint form they told me they don’t have one. I am sorry for the staff that work here because they all were very polite and gentle but the manager is not a person to trust, she even questioned that I was sick at all and recommended to fix through my insurance so that she can take all my money and not give me a refund at all. It was unfair, unprofessional, and goes against their own published policies. Totally ruined my trip. Be very cautious before booking here. I already sent a formal complaint to the authorities.

The place is absolutely charming, the buildings are very beautiful and the garden too. The staff is attentive and always smiling. Access to the beach is direct and lounge chairs await you. Our stay was just perfect, we will definitely come back.

Beautifully located close to the beach, a divers paradise but anyone can enjoy staying there. The breakfast is scrumptious and feels like a wonderfully home cooked meal. Fresh fruit and home made jam. Service from reception to the cleaning staff was fantastic. Definitely will be going back when I am in Diani again.

Worst costumer experience ever!!! This company is completely unprofessional. A diving activity was booked for €150, but after completing only the pool session and cancelling the boat dive in advance due to illness, they refunded only €50. Their own website clearly states that the cancellation fees should be much lower (€20–65), which means they kept €100 unfairly. Their actions go against their published policies, and ruin the trust of anyone booking with them. The problems focused in the manager Sylva , very rude with her words and so unpolite with the customers. There are many other options in Diani for diving that I trully reconsider booking instead of this one.

bad equipment maintenance On both dives, the tanks made a strange noise at around 60 bars. The guide said it was because the air was finishing, but that should never happen at that pressure if the tanks are in good condition. Also, from the symptoms I had during the day and the smell of the air I noticed, I’m sure the air quality was not good. This is not about service quality, it’s about safety.

Beautiful place at a good price. Looks just like in the photos. Very friendly staff, delicious breakfast, one minute walk to the beach.||The dive school is also recommended. On my second day, they recognised I was much more experienced than the rest of the day's divers and so they sent an extra dive guide along to give me a private trip to the Alpha Funguo wreck, which was a fantastic dive site.
