A true hidden gem in Barcelona’s food scene—where I had what might just be the best paella in the city. My local friend, who joined me, said it was the best paella he’s ever had… and that’s saying something. Arroz “del Senyoret” was outstanding—flavors beautifully balanced, rich with umami, featuring the coveted socarrat (that delicious caramelized crust at the bottom of the pan) and perfectly cooked, still opaque shrimp.
We also tried two appetizers: anchovies in vinegar and smoked eel. Both were made with the freshest ingredients and expertly seasoned. The eel, with its subtle smoky finish, was especially memorable—I’m still craving it.
