19 Wineries and Tasting Rooms to Visit in Sonoma County - AFAR

"Located in the Dry Creek River AVA and best known for small-batch zinfandels, the estate offers more than standard tastings: guided vineyard hikes, seasonal events like candlelit wine-cave tastings in winter, and summer pop-ups partnering with local restaurants (such as pizza from nearby establishments) make visits active and experiential." - Bailey Berg, Tim Chester, Jessie Beck

Wow! My wife and I had an amazing experience at DiBella’s Winery today. This is a family winery in a cozy location. The owner Julie greeted us when we walked in. She offered an affordable flight to sample each of their offerings. Our favorites were the Merlot and peach sangria (and we are not sangria people at all). The best part though was the genuine conversation with Julie. We talked about the farm, family and everything in between. If you are looking for a quaint winery with great wine where you are treated like family this is the place.

Went there with my family the day after Thanksgiving and it was a wonderful time! The tasting was fun, the staff was super friendly and they gave us an ornament that I now will look forward to putting on my tree every year. Thank you!

A super charming small family operated winery. The owner stopped by our table during a tasting. She was filled with pride and enjoys telling guests how they started their vineyard. She and her husband are self taught vintners. The wines are delicious, and the varieties they craft is sure to satisfy any wine drinker. Bold robust reds, crisp yummy whites. Ranging from mouth puckering dry to fruity dessert sweet. Prices are very reasonable, try to grab at least a couple bottles. Highly recommend.

Great heart and great wine. This estate producing vineyard is pretty darn fantastic for both its proximity to Philly and their family-owned and operated style. The vintner trusts his gut and handled Chardonnay in a really unique way. Very tart and playful. We brought a bottle of that home alongside the absolutely ridiculous Pumpkin Spice Mulled Wine. Strong reds and whites - which I feel is pretty rare for any vineyard but especially in the PA and NJ area. Usually it’s red or whites - both both being solid. Certainly a must visit if in the area. Better and more low key than a lot of vineyards nearby… the hospitality is top notch. Could use slightly larger pours or a larger size tasting flight. A flight amounts to maybe 1.25 glasses of wine. I’d encourage them to be even more distinctive with their varietals. As it stands, they’re growing some very unique local varietals. With whites, they’re predominantly dry with a hint of lemon (or in the case of the Chardonnay, a burst of lemon). Reds are soft with cherry and vanilla predominantly. There’s room for improvement with the reds - possibly growing some bolder varietals to blend with or bottle 100% could bring that change for me. The whites are very good. They also do events in case you’re looking for a stellar venue. Good people, good vibe. We’ll be back.

A small and upcoming winery. Their new tasting room is quaint with a friendly and warming atmosphere. The husband and wife owner were nothing but welcoming to their property, running bottles of wine to customers and providing a history of the winery. DiiBella Winery is one of the best selections of wine in the area. Highly recommend for everyone to try! :)
