The downtown Boston Dick's is impressive. The store is well-organized by sport and gender, making shopping easy. The climbing wall and cage add a fun dimension to the shopping experience. Plus, the Boston sports team branding throughout the store is a nice touch.

It’s a scam or a poorly managed Dick’s outlet. I got a pair of socks and the offer says it comes 2 free pair if purchased one. However when I went to check out. The lady refused to acknowledge any offer despite the sign clearly says the offer. She said “all I can do is I can scan again and if there is some offer it will show up in the screen”. It didn’t! It means, the offer doesn’t exist as claimed in the sign. I wish Dick’s read this review and face the consumer forum for misleading customers with fake offers that doesn’t exist. I have written more than 200 Google reviews. My words are not bogus.

Elise is the best golf instructor I’ve ever worked with. She has helped me figure out the major issues with my swing and is incredibly generous with her time and attention. Plus she has a mastery of how to use the facility’s tools to help me better evaluate my performance. Highly recommend.

Today, I had an extremely disappointing experience at the store. My intention was to purchase sports shoes, but the service I received was frustrating and unacceptable. The shoes I was interested in were either unavailable in my size or required an excessively long wait for staff to retrieve them. Despite having many staff members in the store, they seemed disorganized and inattentive. For example, after explaining my request to one staff member, instead of assisting me directly, they passed it to another colleague. Even then, it took far too long, and in some cases, if the item couldn’t be located, the matter was simply dropped. Meanwhile, staff members were chatting with each other instead of attending to customers. I ended up spending almost an hour in the store, with approximately 40 minutes wasted waiting for assistance. Ultimately, I left without making any purchase. This experience not only wasted my time but also made me feel completely disregarded as a customer. Such poor service is unacceptable. As customers, we deserve basic respect and efficient service, which your store clearly failed to provide. I hope you will take this feedback seriously and address the issues to avoid similar experiences for others.

I have been there for more than an hour. Wanted to order a pair of shoes I ordered online and they told me they will not help me order another pair. They kept sending back and forth from the back side to front desk. Then I waited for more than 15 minutes to get help while a couple employees were chatting with each other. They called the manager to help. I gave him the model number and size I needed . He said to show him a picture because he can’t use that information he only knows how to search it by a picture. He was raising his voice and was disrespectful.

Went to pick up a pair of sneakers ordered online. Walk up to the register on the Pru mall level and ask nicely about the order. Employee tells me to walk downstairs and I'll see a big sign saying online order pickup and then returns to looking at her phone. Didn't see any sign like that in sight and turns out the sign is on the other side of the huge store. Clerk could have given better instructions but was more concerned with looking at her phone at the empty registers. Get to the online order pickup and there's nobody staffing it. A lady comes out of the backroom, looks right at me, and continues walking over to the registers across the way. I waited to see if she would send someone and when she didn't I walked over and asked nicely if anybody was working there. Looks at me like I"m bothering her and says "there should be someone there" to which I replied "there should be, but there isn't." She made this gasp like I had committed a crime for saying that. She tells me someone will be over and I go over to wait. Couple minutes later she walks toward the area and literally yells across the room for my last name. Told her I'm not shouting across the room and walked toward her and asked her to repeat herself. She looks at me like I have three heads then leaves and comes back with the shoes and walks back across the store to the registers. I walk across and let her know nicely that I'd like to try them on before she rings them up. She gives me this hostile retort like I'm bothering her again. She then hands me the shoes and says "have a blessed day" in a passive aggressive way. All could have been avoided if instead of looking at me wait at a counter with NO STAFF she could walk over and say is someone helping you, like any good customer service person would do. Returned the shoes and will not be returning to Dicks.

This was the best Dick's location we have ever been to. It had everything we wanted/needed and was super clean and well kept. Parking was easy- in the garage and taking the elevator up. And the cashier who rang us out was great.

Super-sized Dick's Sporting Goods on 2 levels. Newly opened last year, it's still slick and feels like a flagship location. Easy access to the Pru. Good selection of inventory because they have the room for it. Fairly well staffed - it's not hard to find someone to help you when you need it. Pricing is reasonable - what you'd expect from Dick's

This Dick's Sporting goods is located in the heart of Back bay area of Boston. Next to the Prudential mall. It is actually connected to it I think. Its a major store with alot of space and they also have a climbing wall for kids which is pretty cool. The climbing wall you can see while walking pass this store. The few times i have been in here it has been hard to track down someone that works here to get help from them. When I was here for Boston Marathon weekend they had some mannequins dressed up in marathon stuff but their selection was not as big as I'd thought it would be for such a big event!

I am going to give this location a good review. The store was clean, well stocked, and ginormous! The shoe dept, which I usually find a big headache at Dicks, was well staffed with extremely helpful employees. I truly wish I took their names because there were 3 that stood out. My daughter works at a smaller, Central Mass store, and was impressed with the inventory. The store is huge. I need an elevator and it was quick and not packed. I should note I shopped on a Thursday afternoon but it was pretty busy. Beautiful store, lots of items, impressive Yeti and Stanley selection and displays. Fun memorabilia from local athletes too. Located in the touristy section of the city, this store receives heavier traffic that other Dick's. For shoes, customers can use a kiosk to expedite trying on shoes instead of waiting to find an associate. This might be confusing for people who have not seen it before. People are probably giving bad reviews because this store is actually busy...

Huge store with very little merchandise actually there. Lots of name brands but very little selection. Weird colors etc. tons of yeti coolers everywhere but I have no idea how this store will make it as no one ever uses the simulators and rock climbing wall. Wish them luck though. The service was amazing as they have about 100 employees everywhere.

This dick store had the greatest selection of golf merchandise I have ever seen. They carried a brand of golf shoes that I don't see very often, and I ended up buying a pair.

Super disappointed for a new store. Absolutely no squash equipment and AFAICT no inline skating gear. Tons of (ugh) pickleball stuff however. This store is 90% clothing. If you are looking for actual sporting equipment, look elsewhere.

WOW !!! what a store. this place is huge, mostly shopped in the footwear area while the kids were waiting for the rock wall, the footwear had a great selection and biggest floor around, even thou the amount of people in the department I had great service from Eddie and Mark in footwear

I went to dicks the house of sport location in backbay twice once last week and this week Tuesday and can I just say what fabulous customer service the young woman said her name was Milo from the time I walked in and left she was pure sunshine I never seen customer service like this especially in the city of Boston ..I also had one of my closest friends check out the store who is blind who also had the pleasure with interacting with Milo he said she took the time out to read him the story behind the child in the wheelchair one of the displays they had an conversation about education she's an graduate of an computer science and culinary degree .. this young woman has made his time there an good experience and I want to say thank u .. I'm from Michigan and I will be back .. so Milo thank u...

Today's Celtics meet and greet was badly organized and many people including my family were frustrated by misleading information that was provided by Dicks staff while the majority of people stood in the rain for an addition 3 hrs. The reason and we understood that if you were not 1 of the 100 to receive a bracelet there would be a secondary line that will be formed that the chances were pretty good to have a chance to meet with the Celtics. Many people waited an additional 3 hrs a lot of us 6hrs from first arrival into the secondary line. First not only did the Celtics arrive LATE 12:15 instead of 12 and leave a few minutes after 1pm. But the secondary line was brought in , just to be turned away. That made everyone furious that they did not take even 1 person from that secondary line but turned all the people away. You as a staff should have told all the people well ahead of time that there was no chance in that secondary line instead of making them wait in the rain...and mind there were a lot of little kids in that line. So really disappointing and I am sure I won't be the first to indicate this. Oddly enough Dicks staff had indicated to several us to voice a complaint..and this is defiantly reason to. Plus by the way it did not say anything is your disclaimer that Basketballs would be signed in the event just a Dicks card..which even caused more of a delay. A once in a lifetime event turned into a horrible experience. Re read you disclaimer and then investigate how your practices were deployed at todays event.
