The combination egg noodle soups were delicious. The broth had great flavour and it was well balanced with vegetable and meat. My only issue was a small hair found in my meal which turned me off finishing it. They did not charge me for this meal and they apologised for the error. This can happen anywhere and otherwise the food was great. How places deal with problems says a lot about them. The service here was friendly, prompt and my problem was resolved to my satisfaction. I hope they take measures to ensure no more hair in food. My family has visited before and loved the food.

The Laksa, well, the other reviews say it all. I’m not the first one to say this (lol), it had the right amount of creaminess and spice added to it, allowing for a pleasant experience. The chicken could have also been slightly improved but it isn’t as dry as other places. The spring rolls were filled with the right ratio of vermicelli and other veggies, accompanied by a cold, slightly spicy sweet chilli sauce (I’m a fan of chilli and hence it could have been a bit more spicy). The pad kee mao in the image, similarly could have been a bit more spicy, but the sauce was overflowing! Not sure if that’s good or bad for you, but either way it was delicious. Service in there was also nice, with the waiters seeing immediately into my request. Portions were a bit small, but overall, a filling experience. 5 stars

Hands down the best laksa you will find in Canberra. I've tried a few other things from their menu and they're all great too, but you have to try the laksa at least once! Everything is well-portioned, fragrant and fairly priced. There's always a buzz in this place with how many people who come in for lunch and dinner.

A fantastic meal to be had here. Delicious spring rolls, chicken and coconut soup, beautiful pad Thai, everything Delicious, fresh and served quickly. I had a chat to the owner who told me he's been running the business here for 32 years!

This place is The Bomb, and has been so for nigh on 30 years. I visited again after a 19-year hiatus. Nina and her employees have maintained the integrity of the Dickson Asian Noodle House, a Canberran Institution, perfectly, in every way. 😊 The signature dish is the Jumbo Laksa, which still stands as overall best Laksa money can buy in Australia. The broth is delicious, the meat, vegetables and seafood are fresh and tasty, and you get a lot of both egg noodles and rice vermicelli. This is how it should always be! 🥹 My only misgiving is that the Wall Of Fame, with photos of all the peeps who could finish two Jumbo Laksas in one sitting, is no longer there 😢 Otherwise: Top Marks! I had two Jumbo Laksas, one for 12PM lunch and then another at 4PM, just because I could! I would eat here every single day, if it wasn’t like 1,200 km away from my home on the Sunny Coast of Queensland. 🥰 Eat. This. Jumbo. Laksa. Now! 🤩

The noodle serving from Dickson Asian Noodle house is generous and the laksa taste just like the laksa at home. Love it!

Google
I’m unsure who is rating this place so highly, however we went here for the first time tonight and it was terrible. I ordered a vegetarian red curry and it was so extremely salty I could barely eat it. My husband ordered a combination laksa which was bland and had two pieces of meat in it. Terrible and I wouldn’t come back here.

My recent dining experience at Asian Noodle House in Dickson left me with mixed feelings about the overall visit. While the food was passable, the service and attention to detail fell short of expectations, resulting in a rather disappointing outing. Starting with the positives, the menu offered a decent selection of Asian noodle dishes. Although the flavors were just okay and didn't quite stand out, they provided a satisfying meal for our group. However, it was the service that left a significant dent in the overall experience. One particular instance was the coconut juice we ordered. To our dismay, it had an off-putting chemical taste that was impossible to ignore. We brought this to the attention of the staff, hoping for a swift resolution. Regrettably, it took the intervention of the owner or manager after we expressed our dissatisfaction for any action to be taken. While the explanation regarding a supplier change was provided, it's crucial to note that the taste of a beverage shouldn't be compromised by such changes. Customer experience should be the priority, regardless of supplier modifications. Furthermore, the beef crispy noodle dish had an unexpected sour note that left us questioning its intended flavor profile. This inconsistency raised doubts about the quality control in the kitchen, affecting our overall perception of the establishment. In conclusion, while Asian Noodle House in Dickson has the potential to offer a satisfying meal, the lack of professionalism in addressing customer concerns and the inconsistencies in flavor left a negative impression. It's my hope that the management will take these feedback points into serious consideration to elevate the dining experience for future patrons. As it stands, I left the restaurant with a sense of disappointment that overshadowed the positives.

Yelp
Good food, fast service My husband and I came here for dinner on a surprisingly busy Tuesday night. Even though it was busy, our orders were taken quickly and the food was delivered to our table in super fast time. It's not the most authentic Asian food - but the food was tasty, the portions were generous and the prices were extremely reasonable. BYO for $3 per bottle is a plus. No wonder it's so popular!

Yelp
This is one of our favorite restaurants in Canberra. My husband thinks they made the best laksa in the world. Food: really good. Besides laksa, the Thai fish also nice. Service: average for Australia standard Price: cheap, good value for money Tips: try to call and book especially if you want to come in the evening

Yelp
The Duck Laksa is still as amazing as it was when I was first here 10 years ago! Well done.

Yelp
Best noodles I've ever eaten. Rice noodles with veg and duck. The duck was very tender. Just my type of place - casual and high turnover. The staff are efficient and there are toilets inside. I'll be back.

Yelp
It's in a strip mall with dozens of other Asian restaurants but make no mistake: this is the only one that ships laksas cross-country. Seriously, the laksa here makes people go mad. I will not go to Canberra without stopping in, and I have to bring some back for my wife, and two more for a friend with a standing order. The jumbo combo laksa is about $16 but is good for two meals. Two absolutely delicious meals. Two meals that will make your eyes water with the taste of soupy perfection. It's the best laksa in Australia. Don't bother trying to find a better one. I have no idea what the rest of their extensive menu is like. I will never try anything so long as they're offering their laksa. The dining room appears to be an average pink-and-white place. But who cares? Laksa. They'll pack it up, separate soup and veg, for you to take home and enjoy later. Laksa.

Yelp
I've been to the Dickson Asian Noodle House twice now, once for lunch and once for dinner, and both times, the food has been excellent. The first time I got some noodle dish I can't remember, and the second time I got the combination Laksa. Both were great. One of my favorite things on the menu there is the young coconut juice--I'm usually not a fan of coconut juice, but they must put a ton of sugar in it or something, because theirs tastes great. Plus, they put these chunks of coconut meat in it, which are delicious. The place is often a bit busy, and you may want to look into reservations before heading over there at peak times.

Yelp
This Asian place in Dickson serves the best laksa in town! I have tried laksa in many different places, but it terms of quantity, quality and service, Asian Noodle House goes way above the rest. I've been to this place many-many times, and have been pleased with it everytime!

Yelp
Sydney is Australia's Asian food Mecca; I'm yet to find a pho or spring roll that rivals the goodness around George Street's Chinatown. From laksa to pad thai, pho to wontons, Disckson pushes all-things Asian food fare at a reasonable price. Our food definitely wasn't something we'd take home to Sydney, but it was satisfying and the portions were good for the price. The atmosphere isn't that exciting either, so "A-Ok" is the perfect sum-up here.

Yelp
It's been 10 years since I was last here, still outstanding food at excellent value. Just finished an amazing Pad Thai and I'm looking forward to having the laksa again.

Yelp
After trying other laksas around town I always like going back to the Dickson Asian Noodle house because I can't find a better laksa

Yelp
This is normally one of my FAVOURITE places to eat. I live in Dickson and I go here regularly. I called up just now to book for tonight (its a Thursday) I asked to book 2 people for 6pm. The girl on the phone asked me if we could be done by 7pm, I said 'uhhh probably not', as I like to order entrees, drinks, and mains, and enjoy myself and not be rushed, being limited to an hour is pretty ridiculous. I asked 'are you booked out?' and she said no and then said, 'we are really busy Thursday nights so we want you in and out.' Not kidding. How ridiculous. I said I'll go somewhere else and hanged up. What the eff? One hour? I feel like asking for the manager and complaining but you know what places like that are like. I'm cut, I love eating there and feel like I shouldn't because of their attitude today. ***UPDATE - I called Asian Noodle House Civic instead and booked in no problems. Go there instead.
