Yelp
Seems all of us international burger eaters on Yelp don't find this place as impressive as all the hype about it (same situation as with Le Bol). Sure its decent, sure its filling, but honestly, the best thing about this place is their bottled beer selection. You can find great Belgium beers here, lincluding Chimay (only blue label I believe) and Leffe (only blond) standing in on of those cooling refridgerators by the door, but oddly, you cannot take one yourself. Down side is its about 5 Euros a beer, which is a bit insulting when you know you can have one for under 2 Euros in Belgium, but they know at this location its so good you'll pay the price....
So, as I'm not a beer afficionada but I still spent thus far much more time writing about the beer options than the burger, you can get an idea what that means. Other reviewers are complaining that its messy; dudes, get over it. Yes, the sauce waters the bread a bit so it can break; so what; its a burger folks, don't be such royalty, if you want, use a fork and a knfie and don't pick it up; else go get a burrito in which the "breading" part encloses all the ingredients. What are you going to say next; that spagetti sauce splatters too much?
I got a Classic Burger, which costs around 10 Euros (all of them where more of less the same). I'm not sure why a beef burger has meet that looks fairly white; that scared me a bit but ok. I won't say much. Meat did not have the juicy red meat taste, and I left overall it was relatively bland.
On the other hand, the salad was quite fresh tasting, and which I usually oppose all dressing, their balsamic vinegrette was fresh without being overwhelming nor too oiley.
Overall:
It does seem a challenge to get a table here, and not necessarily worth it. Maybe it gets crowded just on reputation (who knows why though). My suggestion: if you want a burger, go to Smokey's. Same price, a bit nicer to sit at. Not the great beer though....
