Die Tuishuise affords one a glimpse of old time Karoo prosperity, with the shiny wooden floors and beautiful classic furniture in the cottages. Finer touches of flowers on the fresh linen every morning and the decked table in the kitchen contribute to the wholesome atmosphere. The service is excellent and the staff friendly and professional. Don't miss dinner in the restaurant - the Karoo lamb is out of this world.

Absolutely lovely! We love the old style and feel of the well kept houses. A great touch are the antique items in and around the houses. Very comfortable and clean. Everyone friendly, helpful and accommodating to guest needs. Breakfast was excellent!

Our overnight stay at the Tuishuise left us with a happy feeling. Our very spacious accommodation was beyond our expectations. We were given a very warm welcome upon our arrival and the general friendliness and positivity of the staff was very much appreciated. The establishment is unique in that it is decorated in a tasteful and comfortable old world style. Highly recommended!

An absolute delight to stay there! What a wonderful place, full of history. The little house was so nicely decorated, bed was super comfy, AC with heating available. Breakfast and dinner were fantastic. I hope to return there one day!

This historic, heritage hotel and ‘tuishuise’ on the Karoo town of Cradock, has been decorated with flair. It is the perfect base to explore the Mountain Zebra National Park and the gems in and around Cradock. We loved our elegant, spacious ‘tuishuis’ with its calm colour palette. Lisa is an outstanding hostess. Dinner in the dramatic hotel dining room was impressive. The highlight was the elaborate breakfast! Ideal for all travellers passing through Nxuba / Cradock.

If you love the Karoo and its people, this is an absolute must-visit. We stayed at May's House and it felt like a trip back in time, in a good way. I've also been inside some of the other units, and they are all stunning. They are restored beautifully without taking away that old-world charm. There are vintage treasures and details in each unit making it a pleasure to explore and stay in. The staff is fantastic, so kind and welcoming. Typical Karoo hospitality. The food and breakfast at the hotel was excellent. We felt well taken care of and will definitely return.

We visited the hotel and were given a tour of the renovated cottages, which were absolutely stunning. Then we had a delicious lunch in the colonial dining room. It really is a must when visiting Cradock.
