Very nice stay with DieciSedici in Amalfi! Our family of four fit comfortably in the family room. The location was perfect with young kids: easy to walk to the beach, bus/ferry, and restaurants. A few stairs to walk up but not an issue for us. Front desk arranged transportation to/from the airport and there were no issues. We would stay here again in the future!

Really liked this hotel. But it’s hard to get to. There’s construction going on out front so we had to be dropped off and take a small walk to get to the front door (not unusual for Italy though). No elevator but they helped get our bags inside. Lovely room. Lots of space. Small kitchenette. Very comfortable beds. No front desk staff at night but the place is secure. We also blew a fuse around midnight resulting in a blackout in our room. They responded quickly and were onsite within 30 minutes. Steps away from everything but quiet at night. Would definitely stay here again.

This is the worst place you could stay in Amalfi. It doesn't look as great as these photos. We booked this room on Booking.com in anticipation of spending the last four days of our month-long trip to Italy. But it wasn't even a hotel. Yes, on the booking it is written that it is a hotel. But in fact you are taken to the neighboring building where you have to go up a gloomy, dirty and smelly and long staircase, where the apartments of local residents are also located. And voila, your room will be at the very top of this building. Although their reception is in the neighboring building on the first floor. Also they don't really have breakfast. instead they give a coupon for a discount at a cafe in the central noisy square. So there was construction work going on outside and it was very noisy. and we were not warned about it. we had to cancel our reservation and book another hotel. and we never got our money back for that reservation. i think they are scammers. I do not recommend anyone to stay here unless you want your holiday to be ruined.

We were so happy with our stay! The staff was friendly. The room was clean, comfortable, and gorgeous. The bistro where breakfast was included was yummy, convenient and also had great service. If we come back again this is definitely where we will be staying!

Mixed feelings about the stay The hotel claims to be a three-star establishment, but unfortunately, it did not meet the expectations of a typical three-star hotel in Italy. It felt more like a collection of Airbnb rooms than an actual hotel. The access to the rooms is through a staircase outside the building, which also houses local residents, so there is no real hotel complex feeling. Additionally, there is no accessible entrance for those with disabilities, which is a significant drawback. The reception is simply a room, which takes away from the professional feel of a hotel. One of the positives is the service; the staff was friendly and very helpful, offering great recommendations for restaurants and breakfast spots. However, there is no breakfast service at the hotel itself, and instead, you get a 30% discount at a nearby restaurant or bar, which feels like a missing feature for a three-star hotel. The room itself was clean, which was appreciated, but there were no smoke detectors in the rooms, raising safety concerns. Given the lack of essential facilities, the price felt quite high for what was offered. On the bright side, the location is excellent, close to various attractions and amenities. However, with the lack of accessibility, safety features, and basic hotel services, it may not be the best option at this price point. Overall, if you’re looking for a central stay and don’t expect much in terms of hotel amenities, it could work for you. But for the price, there might be better alternatives available.

Overall this is a wonderful little hotel, located in the perfect location in Amalfi. We were torn between staying here and staying at La Bambagina, but in the end this was the right choice. The rooms are well equipped, spacious and nicely decorated. The wifi is fast and free. We would absolutely return.||The staff were pleasant, but unfortunately one of them (Gaia) was not very effective - lots of incorrect information - telling us incorrect prices, the wrong color of vehicle picking us up, incorrect pickup point location, etc. We got the sense that she tried hard, but was a bit of a disaster. Apparently this is a known issue as our driver joked about it :) With that said, it did not spoil our trip at all, and is just part of the fun of staying in Italy.

Very small (6 room) hotel in very crowded Amalfi. This is on a side square (Municipio) so close to everything but not crowded. There are restaurants in the square as well as a Saturday Market and fairly constant pickup "football" games going on there. When we closed the windows overlooking the square, though, it was quiet. The rooms are in old apartment buildings but have been heavily renovated so they are very modern. The staff were all friendly and very accommodating. ||We chose the Junior Suite with Balcony and had plenty of room and a great view out to the sea from our Balcony. They don't serve Breakfast but who cares. We bought some pastry at the local cafe and made coffee using the machine just outside our door and had breakfast on our balcony.||The website does mention that this is upstairs but is really not descriptive enough. The two rooms (ours and the "Partial Sea View") were in a separate building on the third floor (i.e., what Americans would call the fourth floor). This means three flights of steep old stairs (we counted 52 in all) to get to these rooms. The hotel did have someone who carried our luggage up and down the stairs. It was well worth it for us but might be a problem for many.

Is it possible to have a 3-star hotel with 5-star rooms? Yes, and DieciSedici one of those hotels. Large comfortable beds in a spacious clean room with a modern bathroom. Tea/coffee facilities, premium vanity products. The location is perfect: close enough to the tourist areas but far enough to be quiet. Very close to the pedestrian tunnel that takes you to Atrani and the Cimitiro. My only recommendation is to put felt pads under the chairs, so they are quiet on the tiled floors.
