DiFebo's Market

The best way to describe the scene when you walk into DiFebo’s Market is that it’s like watching a choreographed dance (especially considering our visits were just days before Thanksgiving). On our first visit (for ice cream), we knew we’d be back soon for a meal. The unique flavors were so delicious and the market so fun that I forgot to take photos of each of our dishes. The chocolate orange was our favorite flavor with mint Oreo and berry poptart close seconds! When we walked in for our second visit (to get lunch and some pastries to go), we were immediately greeted by the server who scooped our frozen treats and remembered us as “the ice cream family” from yesterday. Though extremely busy, everyone at each counter was ready to answer questions and take our order. For lunch we selected several sandwiches for our group to share: Paninis: Di Brown’s Chicken & Brie and Caprese, Focaccia: Turkey & Cucumber, and 13” Mambos: Italian Cold Cut & Roma Chicken Caesar. The portions are generous, and we all were excited about the leftovers. While waiting for the paninis to be heated, we browsed the pastry counter and selected 6 pastries (how could we not?!). We especially appreciated the conversation about items that would be allergy friendly for one family member. After dinner we created a smorgasbord, splitting each pastry into 6; they were divine! I can’t recommend this local spot highly enough and only wish we lived closer, so I could visit more frequently.

OMG, this place awakens my inner fat guy. I stopped yesterday for lunch, half Chicken. Was good, but regret set in for not trying a dessert. My goodness the peanut butter pie is heavenly. I have this one saved in google. I just wish it would alert me any time im in radious so i can be sure to get back. So many options; I look forward to my next stop in!!!

Because of Henry - it was good, he truly saved my difebo’s experience! He walked my bag of order to the car about 10 minutes ago. I appreciate his hospitality and being such a wonderful employee. He took my dessert order, helped me with my pickup order & made sure I got my food. Henry deserves a raise and a bonus! Stephanie was also helpful. She was lovely at the check-out counter and tried to help me with my phone number to get points! Thank you

Wow! Incredible pastry’s. The cinnamon roll was huge and delicious. I would 100% reccomend. I also got some desserts. Got a brownie and a chocolate chip cookie which were great. The sandwich’s looked awesome. Wish I got to try

We camp at the state park up the road. We stopped here yesterday and grabbed some pastries. My husband just heated his cinnamon roll up for breakfast and said it was the best he’s ever eaten. We’ll stop back for sure. The staff were all friendly & helpful and it’s such a nice atmosphere.

Dropped the ball today, took 20 minutes to get a panini sandwich reheated, I had to remind them about my order and then they proceeded to heat 3 paninis before mine so other customers were also waiting. The cashier at one register refused to ring us up without the full order ready (we had 3 people roaming around choosing items) so we had to get out of line and wait again to pay. A quick stop turned into a frustrating experience.

After having lunch not far from here, my gf suggested to go to “DiFebo’s Market”, upon walking in I’ve felt that I’ve entered (a Paradiso) a Paradise! Everything and everywhere you look you’ll find fine delicacies from prepared Italian dishes to fresh pastas, a coffee bar, a fine bakery with delicious desserts and bread and a Italian goods section to stock up your pantry and never feel being away from the old country. I’ve had a chance to meet Jacob and his sister which are very nice and attentive to everyone in their shop, both are children of Lisa the owner of both the market and the restaurant right across the street. Next review will be the restaurant and I could hardly wait!

55th class reunion. Went to DoFebo’s market 3 X’s this week. Everything delicious. Staff wonderful. Jacob and Alice excellent.

We went on a Sunday night not realizing the store was closing in 10 minutes . Thankfully one gentleman allowed us to make our purchases of over $200. I failed to get pictures of the store but have pictures of what we purchased and warmed up. The meatballs were amazing and tender with a beautiful mellow and flavorful sauce. Arancini was cheesy and great texture. All the desserts were just sweet enough and not cloyingly overdone. Service at the store is friendly and helpful. I cannot wait to return.

All we got here was the pizza and it was very good. Th whole place was a bit confusing trying to figure out the ordering. If we were in town longer I would have liked to try some of the other options - but we were chasing 'specials' - so pizza it was!

Absolutely incredible food every time! We live out of town and have made it a habit to stop when we are in the area. It will take forever to work through the menu, but we are doing our best! Everyone is always nice and welcoming and happy to help in your food decision process. Although they have some counter seats and tables outside, it may be best to take your food to go!

From out of town and I stumbled upon this store. WOW. Really impressed. The food was outstanding. Employees were over the top friendly. You can tell they take pride in their work. You can just feel the positive vibes coming from the repeat local customers. Customers shaking hands with employees, owners, my kind of place. I've been back twice now and I'll be visiting again.

One of my favorite businesses in Bethany! The pastries are all dynamite but the cro-muffins are our fave, try to snag these if you see them! Also great cold coffee options - cold brew AND nitro! They have a few breakfast sandwich options. All their lunch options are amazing - sandwiches, salads, fresh pastas, and the pizzas are great. Everything we've tried has been amazing and we always go more than once when we're down at the shore. There's a few tables outside for a quick bite but it's definitely more of a grab and go place. We will be back in a few weeks!!

We LOVE the restaurant across the street, so we were excited when the market open a few years ago. I have been many times and can guarantee this 5 star review. I have to stop in at this market every time I come to the beach. The sandwiches are always a fun new selection, the case of deli foods are always fun to get sides for the condo for the week, and the desserts never disappoint. Our go to favorites are the Aranchini if it's there, roasted veggie, and whatever protein they have as the selection. Our go to desserts are the brownie (chewiest bakery brownie I've ever had), the mini pies, and the olive oil cake. We also love shopping the little market. Always an interesting find and the reliable always in stock Italian staples in the fridges. It gets very busy for lunch and breakfast, so if you want to shop around go at the off times to be able to search around more. The service is always friendly, helpful, and fast.

This is our usual stop for desserts if we've been out for dinner and weren't excited about the restaurant offerings, we stop at defibo's market on our way home and grab something. I particularly love the godiva brownies. My husband goes more for the fruit pies.

My family and I decided to get desserts. I was browsing around and went to the deli's side. The shrimp salad looks good, but I'm saving that for another day. So, I bought a 1/2 lb. Pasta salad Italian style. It was delicious! Also, I had a 1/4 lb. dry pasta salad. It was also good. I'm not a fan of chick peas but it was so well made that I enjoyed it. I will be back later to get the Italian cold cut and some shrimp salad. Also. I am going to try the Italian panini before I leave the beach. Concerning service, we were there a 1/2 hour before closing time but I was asking questions and waffling around with decisions, they were very patience with me. All in all, very enjoyable visit and great food.

So I came all the way from salisbury maryland to eat and purchase items at the market. They have tables to sit down and eat at. In the summertime they have a bunch of tables outside. Every time i have been in the they have a sign on the bathroom door saying out of order On several occasions I have to ask if we can use it because it's not out of order. They jut keep the sun up there. Today they did the same thing. I said come on that sign has always been there. I said I have a three year old and we traveled from salisbury and you still won't let us use the bathroom. We were sitting at one of the tables that customers were using to eat the meals and our table was very unstable. My coffee spills not because I knocked it over but because the table wasn't stable and no one helped us until i went and searched out a helper and than never even offered to replace my coffee. I don't care how good the food maybe their attitude was unacceptable. I won't be coming back with the type of customer service .

A little slow but the people working were nice. Definitely some snotty customers but that's not the shops fault. Over all it's a nice place to grab a quick lunch or food dinner later. They also have a small collection of gift items.

Stopped in just to simply browse and ended up at a cafe table with decadent pastries and coffee. The staff is so friendly and helpful. If I closed my eyes, background music made me think I was in Europe. What an experience. Maybe it's good I don't live here or I'd have to take double Mounjaro shots, each week. Seriously ... DiFebo's is an incredible place to satisfy one's sweet tooth.

The food is delicious however the service is not great. We grabbed a salad (to go) while I ordered the Italian panini. They heat their sandwiches and call your name when ready. My sandwich sat on the counter and nobody announced it was ready. Sandwich was cold, salad for warm. What a shame. The staff could do better being attentive.

Breakfast Lunch or Dinner. Never disappoint. 55th class Reunion and I took classmates to the Market and the Restaurant. Everything was wonderful. And everyone was delighted with the service and the food. Like father like son. Jeff and Jacob were wonderful.

Love Italian Markets with sandwiches/subs, pastries, coffee, etc so as I was checking out Yelp and saw DiFebo's I was sold. Drove over around 1pm on a Saturday and surprisingly no wait. We ordered 2 Chicken Parm subs and 2 Roast Pork w/broccoli rabe. Order a few pastries as they look legit - cinnamon rolls, cream puff, crumb cake. We ordered and move to the side to wait. They ask for your name and you have a number on your receipt. 10 minutes goes by...20 minutes. Hmmm what's taking so long?? Maybe lots of folks pre-ordered...patience. I go up to ask if they called our number. The lady looks and says no not yet. Ok. Another 10-15 mins goes by. I go back up to the lady and tell her I've been waiting 40 minutes. She is curt and says let me check. Checks with the cook...he says they made it but they can't find it. They say somebody probably took our subs. No apology...just asks me if somebody picked it up...how do I know??? Isn't that your job??? Ok great...this is what patience gets you. While we wait next to the lady the guy behind the pastry counter asks everyone to move to the other side of the store to avoid crowding. I am not moving because I've been waiting 50 minutes and they lose track of orders if you don't keep an eye on things. The moral-don't be so patient and keep track of what's going on here so you don't end up sitting around for an hour. Finally 10 minutes later we get our subs. The lady does give us 4 gratis cookies (which were delicious) but yeah..too little too late. We go back to our place and nobody can believe we haven't eaten yet. Disaster. Food is tasty...service on the other hand is lacking. If they made a mistake they should own up to it and be apologetic...didn't get that vibe at all...lots of other options at Bethany.

The food is just average, not worth the price The service was confusing and the wait and line for a pick up was long Ambiance was not very inviting too small to handle the volume of a long line I really don't recommend this place and the parking is terrible

DiFebo's Market is absolutely amazing. They have a great selection of food. As a local, we find ourselves coming in weekly for fresh pasta or a delicious meatball sub.

Well- I went in to grab a few things as I frequently do. I haven't done a review but I'm tired of them rushing customers, not listening to customers and not being cordial. A few days ago I bought some pre made veggies for my family. They charged me for albacore tuna salad and not broccolini - yes it was a mistake but if they would take the time to really pay attention to what they are doing things like this wouldn't happen.Customer service is important - I hope they try to improve on that arena.

DiFebo's market was great. The apple pie was delicious as was the croissant. Highly recommend this market to anyone.

Absolutely delicious pastries. Beautiful shop with tons of authentic Italian food. We wanted to try one of everything! Friendly service, slightly confusing as to which counter to order and pick up at and a bit of a wait... but totally worth it! Check it out if visiting Bethany Beach or anywhere in Delaware!!

We ordered two pizzas from Difebo's Market for dinner tonight since they had a "buy one, get one 50% off" special on their pizzas. We called ahead and it only took about 20 minutes for them to be prepared. The inside of the shop is well kept and has a cute upscale vibe. Both pizzas were pretty good, but the fig pizza had lots of salt on a few slices. The ricotta pizza was very good but was lacking something other than cheese. We would go back to try their other food or different pizzas again.

This place is special.ready made food,made to order food, baked good and sweet treats.Great place to load up on food ready to go for those beach days.Top tier here!!

If you read a Yelp review that's bad, it's not the Market it's the reviewer. Do not come to the market hungry. You might leave broke. There's so much delicious food homemade and handmade with love and tradition you can't just get 1 thing. Can't recommend DiFebo's enough whether it's for a quick snack or to pick up a whole meal. Wish it was closer to home.

Great carry out, expensive but you're paying for a chef instead of a cook!! Food is so good. Generally fresh and cooked perfectly steak. The dessert are dangerously yummy! Yes you dream of them lol

The moment you walk in you're greeted with smiles and the lovely scent of pastries and pizza. The market is well decorated and has a super cute yet friendly aura. Employees were helpful and especially sweet! Would definitely recommend for families of all kinds!

Great Italian market with many options for lunch or dinner as well as hot drinks or pastries! My favorite is Wednesday which is Cheesesteak day, well worth visiting especially on Wednesday. Service was also friendly and fast!

It's so-so. Waited 15 minutes in a not very crowded market for coffee recently. The service is slow and not good. No one seems to have an assigned job except the cooks. Not every costumer needs to have a conversation with the already mediocre staff. The partition makes it difficult for the staff to even hear your order if you want a pastry. The flow from left to right to loop back around to the left to pay makes no sense and causes quite a bottle neck. Still not sure where the heck you even order the fresh made pasta bc it's not at the coffee bar or the pastry section or the sandwich section or the prepared foods section. There's also some busted AC which became an issue this past summer. The food is decent enough to maintain a customer base despite the backwards flow and foreign exchange students working at a true European pace. The owner had a little note on the whiteboard written that she doesn't appreciate reviews and wish things would be sent her via email. That's a little pathetic and cowardly.

Absolutely delicious! The staff is great at providing recommendations. All of the food is fresh and I have never had anything I dont like. I am still thinking about the chocolate pie!

I've been coming here every time I'm at Bethany beach and it never disappoints. Is there usually a bit of a line? Yes, because good things are worth waiting for. Fantastic sandwiches, broccolini, desserts, everything! incredibly friendly individuals behind the counter.It just doesn't get any better.

Ice cream is always amazing! And their pizza options are unique and Delicious! Not to mention the cute as eating are with games!

Amazing sandwiches at great prices. I picked up sandwiches for a group of 10 people and everyone loved what they ordered. The 13" Mambo sandwiches are huge and a generous portion for 2 people to share at a great price. Looking forward to going back and trying their a la carte options.

this place is truly amazing! busy yet efficient, the ambiance is buzzing with the smell of tasty food and the greetings of kind yet fast workers. the coffee and pastries were AMAZING. Definitely will be coming back to try more again soon.

Blasted by signage about not leaving a bad review on Yelp? That's not really how this works. Also, kinda confusing as to how to order, where to stand. Brings up memories of a Seinfeld episode. My food was good, not overly exceptional and the person who helped me navigate ordering could not have been kinder. After reading other reviews I was astonished that the owner does not seem to accept any type of criticism and doesn't appreciate feedback as a learning experience. I also realize it is the end of a long season and many business owners are ready for some down time. Still heed what customers are saying. An apology is worth a thousand words.

We got 2 paninis. They were amazing!!! Try the Cubano and roast beef. We will definitely be back :)

Finally Bethany has a huge pastry and breads place we've been dying to get. No more frozen bakery shipped in for the ovens. Come here for all the goods from breakfast to dinner and snacks and treats and all the in between. They even have homemade ice cream They make everything in house and have a huge operating team

As always, just the best! We make it a point to stop here every time we are in Bethany and we are never disappointed!!! Truly a gem!!

The Wednesday $10 special of the cheesesteak sandwich is meh. No flavor in the meat; couldn't find the cheese; the bun was mushy. It's a popular lunch place and the wait was long. It's too bad as their pizza is great as are their pastries.

Great food and very nice staff but the flow of the restaurant and wait times are terrible. Every customer always seems annoyed, stressed and confused when they are waiting for their order.

The best, the very best. Well made food served with a generosity of spirit and a deep sense of culture. The food looks amazing and is simply delicious. This place is the real thing, and I am grateful they're serving the Bethany community with so much integrity and style.

Food is good, but now waiting 25+ minutes for a paninini out of the case and told 10 minutes ago 'it will be ready soon'. Received my first course faster at a sit down restaurant last night. Really frustrating. Avoid if you are in a hurry After 35 minute for a take out sandwich, it still was not ready so we gave up and asked for a refund

We followed DiFebo's on Instagram for months before our beach trip and it didn't disappoint! Great desserts and awesome sandwiches for lunch and breakfast!

I married into an Italian family (my wife is not an American citizen) so I am used to delicious Italian food from my mother in law. That being said, I ordered a broccoli rabe and sausage hoagie and it was delicious. I haven't been to a place in a long time that knows how to cook broccoli rabe correctly!!! DiFebos market certainly does !!! Delicious sandwich, I highly recommend it !!!

Very good food but also very expensive $ 42.00 for shrimp salad in a pint size container. It wasn't a mistake either. The price was displayed in the deli counter
