DiFebo's Market

The best way to describe the scene when you walk into DiFebo’s Market is that it’s like watching a choreographed dance (especially considering our visits were just days before Thanksgiving). On our first visit (for ice cream), we knew we’d be back soon for a meal. The unique flavors were so delicious and the market so fun that I forgot to take photos of each of our dishes. The chocolate orange was our favorite flavor with mint Oreo and berry poptart close seconds! When we walked in for our second visit (to get lunch and some pastries to go), we were immediately greeted by the server who scooped our frozen treats and remembered us as “the ice cream family” from yesterday. Though extremely busy, everyone at each counter was ready to answer questions and take our order. For lunch we selected several sandwiches for our group to share: Paninis: Di Brown’s Chicken & Brie and Caprese, Focaccia: Turkey & Cucumber, and 13” Mambos: Italian Cold Cut & Roma Chicken Caesar. The portions are generous, and we all were excited about the leftovers. While waiting for the paninis to be heated, we browsed the pastry counter and selected 6 pastries (how could we not?!). We especially appreciated the conversation about items that would be allergy friendly for one family member. After dinner we created a smorgasbord, splitting each pastry into 6; they were divine! I can’t recommend this local spot highly enough and only wish we lived closer, so I could visit more frequently.

Wow! Incredible pastry’s. The cinnamon roll was huge and delicious. I would 100% reccomend. I also got some desserts. Got a brownie and a chocolate chip cookie which were great. The sandwich’s looked awesome. Wish I got to try

We camp at the state park up the road. We stopped here yesterday and grabbed some pastries. My husband just heated his cinnamon roll up for breakfast and said it was the best he’s ever eaten. We’ll stop back for sure. The staff were all friendly & helpful and it’s such a nice atmosphere.

A lovely place to pick up a meal, dessert, or just look around. Loads of pastries, fresh made to order pizzas and other warm foods that you can order. They have fresh pastas and meals that can be cooked or heated up at home, and a deli area. I recommend their pre made lasagna and eggplant parmesan, chicken salad, pizzas, paninis and of course any dessert! They also make their own ice cream, which is delicious. It gets very busy but for a good reason. They have a parking lot.

After having lunch not far from here, my gf suggested to go to “DiFebo’s Market”, upon walking in I’ve felt that I’ve entered (a Paradiso) a Paradise! Everything and everywhere you look you’ll find fine delicacies from prepared Italian dishes to fresh pastas, a coffee bar, a fine bakery with delicious desserts and bread and a Italian goods section to stock up your pantry and never feel being away from the old country. I’ve had a chance to meet Jacob and his sister which are very nice and attentive to everyone in their shop, both are children of Lisa the owner of both the market and the restaurant right across the street. Next review will be the restaurant and I could hardly wait!

55th class reunion. Went to DoFebo’s market 3 X’s this week. Everything delicious. Staff wonderful. Jacob and Alice excellent.

I cannot express how much I am in love!!! I am a baker and it is the first market I can say I would drive over 6hrs for! Everything we got was phenomenal and unique in their own way! I wished I had my big cooler with us because I would have loaded down on fresh homemade pasta and other fresh prepared items! My top recommendations from our purchase: Cinnamon Roll, Brownies, Cherry Pie, Hummingbird Cake, and if you are a chocolate fan, the chocolate mousse tart! My Mom loved the Ding Dong Cupcake and said she could not get enough of the filling! My brother loved the Cherry Pie said the balance of the homemade crust with the tart cherries and sugar crumbed topping paired amazingly! The cinnamon rolls and brownies are perfection! I can only imagine the taste of their fresh breads! You can taste the from scratch love put into every item made! Difebo’s deserves a Michelin Star! With Love, Blondie

Best thing that’s happened to Bethany since the totem pole. Proper subs, massive portion sizes, fresh food, clean, attentive service. IMO this is just as good if not better Italian specialty market as Eataly, Citarella, etc. What more could you want?

As always, just the best! We make it a point to stop here every time we are in Bethany and we are never disappointed!!! Truly a gem!!

Authentic, delicious Italian food. Wonderful people, attentive service, beautiful ambiance. And the desserts are beyond measure. My only problem was which meals and desserts to choose. The perfect solution was to get food to go or to visit the Market across the street the next day to binge on all the selections offered. Exceptional in every way.

One of my favorite businesses in Bethany! The pastries are all dynamite but the cro-muffins are our fave, try to snag these if you see them! Also great cold coffee options - cold brew AND nitro! They have a few breakfast sandwich options. All their lunch options are amazing - sandwiches, salads, fresh pastas, and the pizzas are great. Everything we've tried has been amazing and we always go more than once when we're down at the shore. There's a few tables outside for a quick bite but it's definitely more of a grab and go place. We will be back in a few weeks!!

We LOVE the restaurant across the street, so we were excited when the market open a few years ago. I have been many times and can guarantee this 5 star review. I have to stop in at this market every time I come to the beach. The sandwiches are always a fun new selection, the case of deli foods are always fun to get sides for the condo for the week, and the desserts never disappoint. Our go to favorites are the Aranchini if it's there, roasted veggie, and whatever protein they have as the selection. Our go to desserts are the brownie (chewiest bakery brownie I've ever had), the mini pies, and the olive oil cake. We also love shopping the little market. Always an interesting find and the reliable always in stock Italian staples in the fridges. It gets very busy for lunch and breakfast, so if you want to shop around go at the off times to be able to search around more. The service is always friendly, helpful, and fast.

DiFebo's Market is absolutely amazing. They have a great selection of food. As a local, we find ourselves coming in weekly for fresh pasta or a delicious meatball sub.

Love Italian Markets with sandwiches/subs, pastries, coffee, etc so as I was checking out Yelp and saw DiFebo's I was sold. Drove over around 1pm on a Saturday and surprisingly no wait. We ordered 2 Chicken Parm subs and 2 Roast Pork w/broccoli rabe. Order a few pastries as they look legit - cinnamon rolls, cream puff, crumb cake. We ordered and move to the side to wait. They ask for your name and you have a number on your receipt. 10 minutes goes by...20 minutes. Hmmm what's taking so long?? Maybe lots of folks pre-ordered...patience. I go up to ask if they called our number. The lady looks and says no not yet. Ok. Another 10-15 mins goes by. I go back up to the lady and tell her I've been waiting 40 minutes. She is curt and says let me check. Checks with the cook...he says they made it but they can't find it. They say somebody probably took our subs. No apology...just asks me if somebody picked it up...how do I know??? Isn't that your job??? Ok great...this is what patience gets you. While we wait next to the lady the guy behind the pastry counter asks everyone to move to the other side of the store to avoid crowding. I am not moving because I've been waiting 50 minutes and they lose track of orders if you don't keep an eye on things. The moral-don't be so patient and keep track of what's going on here so you don't end up sitting around for an hour. Finally 10 minutes later we get our subs. The lady does give us 4 gratis cookies (which were delicious) but yeah..too little too late. We go back to our place and nobody can believe we haven't eaten yet. Disaster. Food is tasty...service on the other hand is lacking. If they made a mistake they should own up to it and be apologetic...didn't get that vibe at all...lots of other options at Bethany.

My family and I decided to get desserts. I was browsing around and went to the deli's side. The shrimp salad looks good, but I'm saving that for another day. So, I bought a 1/2 lb. Pasta salad Italian style. It was delicious! Also, I had a 1/4 lb. dry pasta salad. It was also good. I'm not a fan of chick peas but it was so well made that I enjoyed it. I will be back later to get the Italian cold cut and some shrimp salad. Also. I am going to try the Italian panini before I leave the beach. Concerning service, we were there a 1/2 hour before closing time but I was asking questions and waffling around with decisions, they were very patience with me. All in all, very enjoyable visit and great food.

Absolutely delicious pastries. Beautiful shop with tons of authentic Italian food. We wanted to try one of everything! Friendly service, slightly confusing as to which counter to order and pick up at and a bit of a wait... but totally worth it! Check it out if visiting Bethany Beach or anywhere in Delaware!!

If you read a Yelp review that's bad, it's not the Market it's the reviewer. Do not come to the market hungry. You might leave broke. There's so much delicious food homemade and handmade with love and tradition you can't just get 1 thing. Can't recommend DiFebo's enough whether it's for a quick snack or to pick up a whole meal. Wish it was closer to home.

DiFebo's market was great. The apple pie was delicious as was the croissant. Highly recommend this market to anyone.

Absolutely delicious! The staff is great at providing recommendations. All of the food is fresh and I have never had anything I dont like. I am still thinking about the chocolate pie!

We got 2 paninis. They were amazing!!! Try the Cubano and roast beef. We will definitely be back :)

Stopped there for the first time yesterday for sandwiches to take to the beach. What a place! The food we bought was top notch and the items for takeout looked amazing. Can't wait to go there again on our very next trip to the beach. We're from upstate and frequent Feby's Restaurant in Wilmington. While their seafood is superb, DiFebo's Market, Ocean View, has the "market" on take out for sure!

The best selection and quality of pastries I've ever experienced. My automatic go-to when I'm in Bethany Beach. (I'm partial to the Morning Glory muffins!)

A little slow but the people working were nice. Definitely some snotty customers but that's not the shops fault. Over all it's a nice place to grab a quick lunch or food dinner later. They also have a small collection of gift items.

We love this local gem! The food is fresh, wonderful staff and the breakfast sandwiches are delicious as well as their pizzas.

We ordered two pizzas from Difebo's Market for dinner tonight since they had a "buy one, get one 50% off" special on their pizzas. We called ahead and it only took about 20 minutes for them to be prepared. The inside of the shop is well kept and has a cute upscale vibe. Both pizzas were pretty good, but the fig pizza had lots of salt on a few slices. The ricotta pizza was very good but was lacking something other than cheese. We would go back to try their other food or different pizzas again.

Great food and very nice staff but the flow of the restaurant and wait times are terrible. Every customer always seems annoyed, stressed and confused when they are waiting for their order.

The best, the very best. Well made food served with a generosity of spirit and a deep sense of culture. The food looks amazing and is simply delicious. This place is the real thing, and I am grateful they're serving the Bethany community with so much integrity and style.

Love this place. Everytime I walk in, even in the height of the summer someone stops what they're doing and calls out a lovely greeting. Witnessed a staff member get pummeled by a very rude, inconsiderate customer, but they remained graceful and kind even under repeated fire. But I digress- the Sicilian is perfect- wonderfully crisp, with a slight chew, flavorful sauce and the perfect amount of cheeses. Excellent. I got the Italian panini which was heated up perfectly- the bread was a perfect setting for the bed of amazing deliciousness- perfect meats, excellent mozzarella with just the right melty goodness and the perfect ratio of condiments. Amazing. The customer service is always exquisite, and I have never had a pastry, sandwich pizza or refrigerated case item that wasn't perfect!

1. Fantastic Service - just warm, smiling, attentive and courteous staff. 2. Delicious Food - Enjoyed an overwhelmingly large, phenomenal panini sandwich. Could only finish a quarter of it but have leftovers for later. Couldn't even begin to consider all the amazing baked goods they offer but we'll be back. 3. Great High End Gourmet - Only place I found oil cured olives and truffle oil for pizzas I was making. 4. Charming Ambiance - exactly the kind of friendly, inviting neighborhood place to stop in to relax, sip a coffee get a bite and chat with friends.

Food is good, but now waiting 25+ minutes for a paninini out of the case and told 10 minutes ago 'it will be ready soon'. Received my first course faster at a sit down restaurant last night. Really frustrating. Avoid if you are in a hurry After 35 minute for a take out sandwich, it still was not ready so we gave up and asked for a refund

Stopped for a few steak sandwiches on our way to the beach and being new in town this was our first experience...WOW! One of if not the best we've tried yet! The staff were super friendly. Everything looked delish and we're excited to try other items on the menu.

I married into an Italian family (my wife is not an American citizen) so I am used to delicious Italian food from my mother in law. That being said, I ordered a broccoli rabe and sausage hoagie and it was delicious. I haven't been to a place in a long time that knows how to cook broccoli rabe correctly!!! DiFebos market certainly does !!! Delicious sandwich, I highly recommend it !!!

Cute little Italian market. This place has it all! The staff is so friendly. I got the chicken cutlet sandwich on a hoagie which was delicious!! The sauce that was on there made it so yummy. We also made a trip back for coffee which was also great! I got a nitro brew with a splash of oat milk. It was perfect. I love that they have all different kinds of pasta you can get. And although we didn't get the ice cream the flavors looked SO yum and you could get it on a cone or as an ice cream sandwich, love! They also have a little convenience store so it really is a one stop shop!

We love this place. It's a massive market. Only fresh food. We went to get pastries for breakfast and we were in love.

Finally Bethany has a huge pastry and breads place we've been dying to get. No more frozen bakery shipped in for the ovens. Come here for all the goods from breakfast to dinner and snacks and treats and all the in between. They even have homemade ice cream They make everything in house and have a huge operating team

The pastries are the best around and very authentic! Matter of fact everything you get from here is, from the olive oil to the fresh mozzarella, pastas & loafs of bread. You can't go wrong. Great location just off of Bethany Beach, I wouldn't go anywhere else for specific items.

Best brownie ever! Service was excellent. Everything looked amazing. We normally go for the cakes and pastries but the brownie stole the show.

When this establishment has a good cook it's good. But this has not been the case this season. Sandwiches are no longer any good, the meatball parm is dry with little cheese. Their egg sandwiches are packed with salt and they refuse to give offer you bacon that's well done, this is because of the language barrier. Now that I have lived in the area I come to realize market is busy because of limited options. So if you are hungry and expecting a good sandwich you will have to flip a coin and hope for the best. " DiFebo's Market is a food lovers paradise." Chef and owner Lisa DiFebo Osias says she was inspired by Florence, Italy. She also said that she wanted to create a place where you can find everything you love under one roof. Well, she has definitely accomplished her goal in the most spectacular way. There are specialty baked goods and fresh breads and rolls. Then, there is fresh pasta, brick oven pizzas, and homemade ice cream. We ordered dinner from DiFebo's Market last night. The pizzas were very good. We had one with roasted eggplant and goat cheese. It was very tasty. Then, we also ordered a Sicilian pizza, which was delicious. The crust was crispy,the sauce scrumptious, and the dough was fresh and tender. I loved my panini with roast beef, fontina cheese, caramelized onions and horseradish sauce. It taste amazing. It was very large too. We also ordered some lovely fresh vegetables. We had string bean salad, which was epic. Their roasted potatoes were yummy. And, the roasted eggplant was tender and succulent. We ordered fresh bagels and cookies. The everything bagels were excellent! I loved the oatmeal raisin cookies best! My son got some cute gifts to take to friends at home. There are gourmet hot sauces, unique olive oils, and cute Italian ceramic dishes. I want to return and get some of their homemade ice cream and freshly baked cookies. Everything I have ever gotten from DeFebo's market has been absolutely delicious. The Italian Cold Cut is an outstanding sandwich--much tastier and more satisfying than the subs/hoagies offered by any franchise. The meats are plentiful, distinctively flavorful, and diverse, and wonderfully complemented by the seasonings and provolone. And it is all on a fresh, robust Italian roll that really takes it all to another level; nothing can ruin an otherwise good sandwich than one on mediocre bread. The fresh homemade pasta is superb, with generally several shapes to choose from, all delicious and all with a characteristic "bite" texture that no dried pasta can touch. The jarred sauces are very good. Though, if you're looking for an overly sweet sauce they might not be for you. These are rich and tomatoey, with just a touch of tang, and not too much salt. I would recommend also picking up some homemade meatballs as well. I've never tasted any grocery-store meatballs that even come close to these. I have not yet tried the pizza and muffuletta, but am looking forward to it! DeFebo's is always a great choice!,

Ok, if you are ever even remotely in this area, DiFebo's is an absolute must. What a neat market. We went for lunch. We got some pizzas and sandwiches. The pizzas were amazing. Just perfectly made. The sandwiches were fantastic. I got the Italian and let me tell you, so damn good. We got some Italian cookies - looked like Jeanettes but they were called something else and tasted differently than Jeanettes. They were very good.

Wow the baked good ate amazing including a chocolate dipped eclair and the to go food and veggies are 10 star I'll b back

DiFebos has the best homemade pizza in the Bethany Millville area. We even got one half cooked and finished it at home. They also have a variety of fresh made pasta, and delicious homemade rolls for their subs. Definitely stop by.

Just enjoyed an amazing "Breakfast Shorti" sandwich with eggs and sausage and a cortado as smooth as silk. The young employees could not have been nicer and more helpful, and though I didn't try any of the baked goods, the bakery case looks out of this world. Can't wait to visit again!

Not worth the wait. Couple of pre-made Sandy's took 15 minutes. Nobody even checked on us when the manager is cleaning surfaces all around us looking like goons for 15 minutes.

I recently purchased Chicken Piccata, take out. The food was such a disappointment! Not a hint of lemon. The gravy was thick and viscous as if it were from a premade from a jar or can and didn't taste like chicken or lemon or capers. I've been purchasing takeout on a regular basis, every 2 weeks since the summer 2024; it is now early December. I don't recognize the employees anytime I go. The quality of the food continues to decline each time I go. It is pricey, which I don't mind paying if the food is good. I won't be going back. My family and I used to vacation in Bethany and always looked forward to eating at DiFebo's. Such a disappointment.

Ordered takeout from this restaurant for 9 people. All was ready exactly when they said it would be. Everyone loved their food. Fresh pasta cooked perfectly. Delicious sauces. Tasty bread. Did not order apps/dessert but will next time!

Love this place, but extremely disappointed. Called at 5:45 for 2 pizzas and 2 sandwiches. Gave my name and number and was told 1 hr. No problem. Got there at 6:45. After waiting in line was told they were out of the roast beef panini. We substituted a Italian panini with no lettuce or tomato. Waited another 30 minutes. No food. Asked again, was given the pizzas and told they were making me another panini. 25 mins after that I got my food. 2 hours total. Pizzas were now cold, the panini had both lettuce and tomato, and one of the pizzas was missing two of the four toppings. The two hour wait messed up the timeline for everyone else we were vacationing with. Very disappointed.

As soon as you walk in, the smell of fresh baked pastries greats you. Beyond the pastries, there is a great selection of European items as well as frozen homemade pasta and sauces to take home. On the other side a pizza oven and deli cases full of fresh salads, pastas, sandwiches and subs. A store I will definitely be visiting again.
