2 minutes walk away from the worlds biggest blowhole is this amazing cafe. Great views. We didn’t have to wait along time on a Sunday afternoon to get a table setup for a group of 9. The food was great. Enjoyed the grilled market fish and the salt pepper squid. The grilled fish was absolute delicious dish. The drinks : the hot chocolate and cappuccino was good but the Matcha could have been better . Overall experience was good. We enjoyed the food.

What a beautiful sunset dining experience. By chance, I strolled past and decided to dine here and I am so glad I did. The staff were beyond sweet with smiles plastered on their faces, the good vibes were flowing. The view sitting on the window bench seats was so calming and added to the experience. The food choices made it hard to decide because the menu had a great variety, but with the help of a staff member I chose the garden goddess bowl with salmon and it was exactly what my soul needed, with a surprising crunch to it too. Hoping to dine there again soon to try the deserts.

Delicious food and staff were lovely. The view is exceptional! My only critique is that the masala chai was not authentic (no milk). But it was good enough.

I had been wanting to come here for a while since I had heard good things, but unfortunately this was probably the worst breakfast me and boyfriend have ever had. I got a caramel milkshake that was just cream, basically no flavour, no milk. Since that was so bad I ordered a hot chocolate and that was even worse, it just tasted like water. The food looks really nice, but it tasted terrible, everything was extremely bland and we had to put so much salt on everything for it to be edible. You would think lemon, feta, salmon and hollandaise sauce would be flavourful, but somehow it wasn’t at all, I was so surprised and disappointed at how bad the food and drinks were. On top of that we had to wait about half an hour to be seated and another half hour to get our drinks and twenty more minutes for our food. Unfortunately I don’t think I’ll ever be back here again.

The food here leaves much to be desired, chicken burger was dry (we asked to add some sauce after and they did so props to them for that) and the eggs in the shakshuka were very overcooked and also dry. The smoothie had way too much cinnamon in it but the coffee was decent. Beautiful scenic views saved this place.

Google
The view is probably the only good thing there. Asked for water 3 times and I still have to grab it myself from the station. They serve other tables but not mine. Even new customers got their water straight away. The Salmon Croquettes was okay but the rosemary is too strong (at least for me). Not a fan of their strawberry rosé.

Google
Nice view, fresh breeze, long waiting time during weekend, a good stop for lunch on your one day trip to Wollongong

Google
Had an awesome Friday Seafood lunch. Everything cooked to perfection and a great vibe. Staff were awesome too.

Yelp
This popular cafe is overlooking the area close to the Kiama blowhole, lighthouse, and beach. It was too windy when we were there, so we sat indoors. They were very busy, so it took quite awhile to get our food. I ordered the Big Reg breakfast. It came with pretty standard items, except no bacon or sausage, although my husband ordered a side of bacon with his. Everything was fluid, just not spectacular. Our son ordered the Blowhole Roll sandwich which came with a hashbrown. He enjoyed it. We all also had various coffee drinks. Since it was a public holiday, there was an extra surcharge added to the bill. The servers worked hard and were friendly.

Yelp
Great beach location and if you are free for their weekend breakfast --- you will not be disappointed. I was honestly shocked with the quality of the food here. I felt it was a great value and awesome atmosphere considering a similar place in Sydney (or even the States) would be more expensive. If you get a chance, their Mimosas are good :)

Yelp
Waited to never be acknowledged on arrival, a poor response once we got some attention, did not pass go, suggest you do the same.

Yelp
Waited an hour for very average, cold poached eggs on toast! Not worth the wait!

Yelp
I had lunch here today with a small group of friends. The view was absolutely wonderful and the cafe was clean, light and airy. I ordered a chickpea salad and fish & chips to share with a friend. The salad was fresh and tasty with just the right amount of each ingredient. The chips were okay, however, the fish was inedible- it was mostly over cooked batter. The lemon wedge was bruised and tattered. I also ordered an iced long black which strangely arrived in a small cappuccino cup. Despite the odd presentation, it was a good cup of coffee.

Yelp
This place can get a little crowded but the wait is worth it. Wonderful food, excellent service and the best views. What more can you ask for!

Yelp
Exactly what I needed and much better than I expected! I arrived here in Wollongong more than a bit weary and half-starved after a 14 hour flight from San Francisco followed by the 90 minute train ride and 15-minute walk to the beach. Flat white (x2) = delicious Eggs benedict = perfectly cooked eggs and a really good hollandaise on top of some kind of french bread with a crispy crust... and the fresh baby spinach was a nice touch. Location = can't beat it Price = think I paid around $24

Yelp
What a great location for a coffee shop. The coffee is delicious. Service is poor though. I had to chase up my coffee after about 25 minutes.

Yelp
We had just got in from Sydney and were really hungry. I had looked some things up on yelp and this restaurant came up! Definitely 10/10, it was so delicious and the staff is so friendly and accommodating for everyone. I would highly recommend!

Yelp
The food is ok, and the view is wonderful. But they need to do something with the service, especially it's such a busy restaurant at weekends. At first we were led to a corner where u can see nothing, so we asked for a change when there is an empty table. The lady asked us to wait a minute and cleaned that table. But several minutes later they tried to give that table to someone who just came in. We were annoyed and had to argue with them. The sea view is why we came here! We got the table at last, but the overall experience was largely impacted. May not come back in the near future.

Yelp
I had the eggs benny breakfast burger and fries, as well as a beetroot, orange, apple, ... Juice. I had it to go at the kiosk, it's the same kitchen as the diggies cafe. I paid 18 AUD. It was ok, it didn't live up to its reputation though. Local friends of mine recommended this place... It's the best place around and its at the beach, so I guess it's ok.

Yelp
Perfect breakfast hangout. Friendly staff, excellent coffee and usual breakfast offerings. All with a view

Yelp
I ordered a 2 x main salt & pepper squid @ $17 per plate when it arrived my friend & i thought they may have given us entree size I had never been served such a small dish of seafood. Once I complained to the staff they said this was a weight standard portion.... I was thinking (perhaps for kids) ?? I asked if I could speak with manager but they said he was on a break. Finally after complaining again they took the meals in the kitchen and gave us a mains adult portion. IF YR HUNGRY DONT EAT HERE

Yelp
Eggs Benedict and a flat white on the beach? Um yes please!! Had the chance to visit Diggies a few times when my husband was nearby at a conference. Diggies has a super chill beachy vibe and fresh comfort foods. Splurge and get something indulgent like a benny, or go healthy and try one of their kale salads - everything is delicious! Amazing quality espresso beverages as well. If you're there early enough in the morning during the Spring /Summer, there is free yoga on the beach too. Heaven.

Yelp
On the plus side, Service was quick and friendly. Great location. But Food was below average, poached eggs were hard, coffee was Luke warm. Burger was good, not overcooked to death. Risotto was just fine.

Paige T.

Yelp
The food was nice but service was extremely slow. Waited around 15 minutes just to order.

Yelp
My partner and I went to Diggies for breakfast on our last morning in Wollongong. We got the Semmi and Avocado Toast and were both very impressed with what we got. The coffee was amazing, the staff were very friendly and the service was quick. On top of that an amazing view over the beach. I just wish we had not waited till our last day to go so we could have gone back.

Colin P.

Yelp
While the location is good, the food is inconsistent in quality, over priced, the service is very slow and they don't provide wifi for the customers. I have been three times now, but now won't be returning.

Yelp
Diggies is in a terrific location right on the beach in North Wollongong with a very friendly and attentive staff. The menu is small but has a great selection and all the food we had for both breakfast and lunch was very well-prepared very tasty. I'd go there again anytime. They also have a full bar.

Yelp
Love, love, love DIGGIES whenever I'm visiting family in the Gong! So yummy, fresh, organic goodness. Their pastries are amazing and their fresh juice are amazing. I'm still dreaming stateside of going to the beach and ordering a Bug Zapper! Fantastic, great. place.

Yelp
Great location. A decent feed. Can be hard to get a table during peak periods, which can be annoying. and paying bills can take time at times and seems disorganised. I like to go here with company when I need to show off our beautiful beaches.

Naomi B.

Yelp
Went for breakfast as reviews were really good. Highly disappointed. After order was taken waited for food for 1.5 hours. Once finally served food, meal was average. Asked waitress for sauce when handed meal and didn't get it until after we finished eating. Spent $60 for 2 people on breakfast and definitely wasn't worth that huge amount and waiting half the day for it.

Kathrina E.

Yelp
Great spot for a bite to eat with menu at reasonable prices ($15-$20). Fabulous location, right on the beach where activity and beach goers are. Customer service exceptional, always greeted and served with a smile. Highly recommend - fail safe option brunch/lunch.

Yelp
Great little place for lunch with a friend. It's a bit squishy but that's probably because it is always busy and full. The menu was fresh and appetising and the coffee good. The first time I went they unfortunately messed up our order and my meal never arrived. They were very apologetic so I tried again this time with no hiccups. Lovely position and it will become a regular venue for me and my girlfriends as it is for most of the mainly female patrons.
