Diglis House Hotel

A lovely riverside stay with beautiful views that instantly set a relaxed tone. The staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive, and breakfast was a real highlight with fantastic choice and quality. Friday night fish and chips are an absolute must, fresh, generous, and perfectly done. The hotel is currently being renovated by the new owners, which didn’t impact our stay at all, though it would have been appreciated to be informed in advance. Overall, a very enjoyable visit and somewhere we’d happily return to.

We visited around the Valentines weekend in 2026 where the river was a lot wider than it should be, covering the side pathway. The staff kindly saved me a parking space next to the Studio Rooms entrance which was ideal. The room itself seemed a little tired, not like the brochure picture; the proper settee had been replaced with a futon without arms, (I'm disabled and need arms to get up from sitting). The table lights were on the shabby side of chique where the one in the bedroom was broken, shade hanging on with a prayer! The bathroom could definitely do with more handles around to cater for the less abled patrons as the one over the bath was ar the wrong end to shower safely. To control the TV, we needed to be in Mensa, online programmes seemed to be available but not selectable. A radio function would definitely have been a desired factor. Now the hotel, no complaints here, we ate with friends on Friday evening and the food was superb and the staff were exemplary, just like at breakfast where they were very attentive and went that extra mile to assist with my disability. We've never been anywhere to have such a varied table and the Full English was out of this world! We wouldn't hesitate from booking this hotel again especially if the Studio Room was improved. (P.S. The carpet in the Studio could definitely do with a clean!).

We stayed here when visiting Worcester Christmas Market and the location was perfect. Right on the river, with parking, and a 10-15 minute walk to the market, shops, etc. We had booked a superior double as we wanted a bath and it was reasonably spacious, with a large, comfortable bed and river views. The bathroom was reasonably large with a large bath and a powerful shower over it. The room was clean but some of the finishes on the decor seemed rushed. We also had to ask for some green tea teabags as there were only PG Tips teabags in the room.|Breakfast was ok. There was a reasonable selection of items for breakfast, both cooked and continental. The homemade granola was very nice and the greek yoghurt was very thick. I was slightly disappointed with the avocado dish as it had very little taste. We didn't eat in the restaurant for lunch or dinner so can't comment on that.|The staff were all very friendly, polite and helpful.|Would we stay here again? Probably as the location was so good.

We got married at Diglis in July and are finally getting round to writing this review! It took us ages to find the perfect venue, as so many places only offered the “typical wedding package” with little room for personalisation. From the moment we met Megan, she listened to what we wanted and delivered on everything we asked for. We had nearly 90 guests at our reception, many of whom stayed overnight in the hotel. The rooms are beautiful, though in the summer months you do miss air conditioning — fans are provided, which helps. The food was incredible. Five stars definitely go to the chefs! My parents and I had tried lunch here last Christmas and weren’t disappointed, so we knew we were in safe hands. On the wedding day, we enjoyed a simple pork roast with accompaniments, desserts, and an evening buffet — all mouth-watering. A special mention goes to the chef who made his own chilli sauce for our chilli-loving family; such a thoughtful touch that meant so much. The day itself ran seamlessly. Everything went to plan, there was no drama, and the staff even joined in the fun by painting their faces with glitter for our festival-themed wedding — a memory we’ll treasure. For guests travelling, Diglis is in a prime location, close to train stations and public transport, which is handy if the hotel parking is full. Suggestions for future weddings (based on nice touches we’ve seen elsewhere): - A happy hour (two-for-one drinks for an hour) - Cocktails available in the Seymour Suite - A printed drinks menu - Reserved parking space for the Bride & Groom Overall, Diglis gave us the personalised, joyful wedding we dreamed of, and we’re so grateful to Megan and the team for making it happen.

We had the most wonderful family Christmas meal- the food was absolutely delicious from start to finish, perfectly cooked and full of flavour. The food at the Diglis is clearly made with a lot of care and love. Meg truly made it amazing. Excellent weekend away at this beautiful hotel . Set alongside the river close to cathedral & short walk from the town .|Staff , food , room all excellent. We had our dog too & a basket , dishes & towel were provided in the room for her . |The location is spot on for sightseeing & walking along the river where you can walk for miles & miles enjoying the scenery & nature .||Highly recommended, many thanks to all the staff .

We had a very relaxing time staying at The Diglis Hotel, the weekend of the most horrendous weather possible, having come with some friends so the men could go walking. We found it to be clean and tidy and all the staff were friendly and approachable. Ample car parking spaces in two car parks. We ate in the restaurant on the Friday evening and thoroughly enjoyed what we had. The rooms were good, were warm and had plenty of fluffy towels on hand. Enjoyed eating our breakfast watching all the activity on the river with the oarsmen and women. If we find ourselves in the Worcester area again i would certainly look to stay here. A very pleasant stay.

Beautiful hotel - we went as a treat for Monday Lunch and lived the restaurant overlooking the River - we went for A la carter rather than the bar menu and I chose a wonderful salmon melt in the mouth starter and feather blade of beef main which was equally tender and tasty with lovely seasonal root vegetables on the sides. Equally my husband's chicken main fabulous and we would recommend and return again for both the food excellent service and beautiful views of the river in the beautiful glass orangery!

Let me set the scene.... It's a lovely, sunny, summer's day and you're in Worcester. You've been looking around all the nice shops and visited a few of the sights, and now you feel like a nice relaxing drink to unwind. You could do a LOT worse than visiting the Diglis House Hotel. Just a few minutes walk from the town centre, and with a lovely long beer garden, set right on the bank of the river severn, there are very few places that offer such a pleasant way to while away an hour or so. The beer is great. The food is lovely (if a little pricey in some areas) and the atmosphere is fantastic - you won't find any drunken louts at The Diglis, just a good crowd of people. Dogs are welcome and water bowls are available should you decide to bring Fido along with you. There is also free WiFi access, although you may struggle to get online if you're sat towards the far end of the beer garden. All in all, a fantastic place for a pint (or two, or three)..!

I have been several times to have a drink after work or during weekends only when the sun is out. There is a large menu, you can find pub food to hotel food and the prices are average to pricey. I advice people to go to this place on a sunny day to have a cider, pimm's or other refreshments, avoiding weekends as it's pretty busy!
