Dignita Vondelpark

Came here for a work brunch. I removed two stars because we were seated next to the kitchen and unfortunately got to see that the hollandaise is pre-made, not home-made. That kind of ruined it for me. Let’s be honest, the difficult part of eggs Benedict is the sauce. When I go to a restaurant, I expect things to be made freshly, especially when it’s a key component of the dish. I can scoop it out the container and put it on my eggs myself at home, don’t need a restaurant for that. If you’re gonna have an open kitchen, either don’t do that, or hide it, or don’t seat clients in view of the kitchen. Apart from that, we had a lovely time. The food was tasty, the service was great, the prices are okay for Amsterdam. They have a little play area for children and one of my colleagues brought her baby, the staff were so great with her. The fresh drinks were really tasty! Halloumi and basque cheesecake dessert were also amazing. The fried hash brown under the eggs benny is really delicious, I just wish the hollndaise would have been fresh, then it would be 5 stars

Went at 11ish, we didn’t expect to make reservations. Great that we just needed to wait under 10 minutes for our table. Basque cheesecake looks so irresistible so I got to try one. Red soya latte tastes mild as I couldn't taste roobois tea over soya milk. The sausage and potatoes in Brave Basque Slider are delicious and crunchy. Drinks were a bit wait but the staff helped check for us without us asking.

A very nice looking brunch café that has a good purpose but underwhelming food. Perhaps just our selection. We got the Chook Norris (milk bread, crispy chicken burger) and a special, which was a burger. The potatoes were well-flavoured but unexpectedly cold, and the burger felt quite dry. Both dishes were very heavy and bread-y. So a sauce or similar would have been nice. For the price point, the food didn’t hit the mark, but as all profits go back into a good cause, I feel unfair to score lower. I’d recommend for coffee and a pastry rather than a meal.

Fantastic place, definitely a must in Amsterdam. Great vibes from the cozy first floor to the expansive mezzanine. Cute views from the upstairs. The food was delicious, it can be hard to get mushrooms right but they did just that. Juice was very fresh. All the waiters were sweet and attentive, I was very pleased with the service. Cannot recommend enough!! I’ll have to come back to try the pancakes because they also look phenomenal :)

We went here around 15 thinking they wouldn’t have space and would be closing but they actually had plenty! We also love the space because you had so many different options to choose from for different group sizes, and the staff was super helpful too. We got the toast and pistachio pancakes, we love both of them but the pancakes was a bit heavy, may not be easy to eat all of it one person. There were people with laptops too.

Due to demand we waited half an hour for a table but it was well worth it, above expectation. Capuccino with oat milk brewed perfectly and brunch was out of this world, never had something like this before. I would definitely return if I am back to Amsterdam.

Had breakfast here on the morning of Saturday the 27th of December with a Dutch friend of mine. The food was delicious and the service impeccable. Massive shoutout to the Venezuelan lady that waited on our table. She was friendly and kind. I’m glad I had the good sense to tip her, as a humble token of my appreciation.

The food was amazing. The pancake was out of this world and one portion of pancake is enough for two people. The staff is very friendly. We would love to visit here again!

Easiest Five Stars !! Lekker !! Loved being surprised with something new. The plate elegant presentations with a twist of known breakfast icons was unique by this place. Service was on top of our table under a calm atmosphere. Thanks for an enjoyable breakfast.

Wow this is a breakfast I'll always remember, the food, the atmosphere, the service was all incredible. I had the Cilbir and focaccia and my bf had the pancake stack, both unforgettable

So I ate here 3 times while I'm Amsterdam. The coffee the service and the food were amazing. There was plenty of food on the plate and felt it was a value for sure. The last day I tried to go snd it was full. I will be eating there every time I go to Amsterdam.

This location is beautiful and lively. The food was incredibly fast! I got the Benny avocado and it was a masterpiece. The crispness of the potato and the soft Benedict with avocado made a incredible combination. Really enjoyed my meal here.

10/10 for this place! That atmospheres great very cozy & bright lighting for a brunch. The food was thee absolute best and the Benny's are so delicious. Note for any non locals like myself you pay at the front when you've finished your meal.

Wonderful! We had a 9am reservation for a Monday morning - they checked our Covid passports and seated us upstairs. The staff was very friendly and professional. The coffee was hot and flavorful; the food was wonderfully prepared and presented - and delicious! What's not to love? We'll certainly come back our next time in Amsterdam.

Nice little breakfast spot next to Vondelpark with unique items. We ordered the Bacon Benny Boy and the Kimcheese Tosti. Both great but my fav was the Kimcheese Tosti, especially the gochujang Mayo that came with it. Slathered that all over the Benny Boy as well. Sooo addicting!

Love this place. Great food and customer service. Came here for breakfast and it was so good. All three of the dishes we got were well presented, fresh, and tasted amazing. If you are in Amsterdam I recommend eating here

Loved it here. Came in to have brunch and get some work done. Food quality is superb. Had the salmon royale with ginger tea and carrot cake. WiFi connection is super fast and reliable. The ambience is perfect and cozy. Service is courteous and attentive. Easily could spend hours here. Highly recommended if you're looking for a quality meal in a great environment.

This all day brunch place was very aesthetically pleasing from decor to food plating. The staff was accommodating and food was good! Food: 4 Service: 3.5 Ambience: 4 Overall: 4 I've had my fair share of eggs benedict in my life time and this was the first time I was surprised! Instead of an English muffin, the eggs were held up by two perfectly deep fried hash brown disks, but it was lacking in a bit of salt. It was a very interesting flavor combination. I would definitely come back and try the other dishes! Tip: - Have a second option for your choice in food/drinks. They might have sold out of what you want. - You pay for your meal on the main floor by the bar.

The Benny Boy Bacon is delicious. The hash browns are amazing and crispy. We also had the Cilbir & Focaccia. Very good.

Came here around 1pm and it was bustling. There were a couple of groups waiting for a seat. The venue is pretty big with an second floor for seating. Luckily I was solo dining this time, and was able to squeeze in within 5 minutes. I ended up getting the salmon royale which was perfect. It was nicely season and the fish was really fresh. Definitely would suggest going here if you're in the country visiting! Seems like a lot of locals come here as well.

The best breakfast I've had in a VERY long time! My friends and I were visiting Amsterdam for the weekend and stumbled upon Dignita. Very close to Vondelpark and we were seated right away even on a busy Saturday morning. We each ordered drinks (mostly beers, because, brunch...) and I also ordered the mango hemp juice (needs more sweetness of some kind but not bad. My friends absolutely LOVED their brunch dishes like the salmon benedict, the falafel platter, and the mushroom benedict, I had the regular eggs benedict but with hash browns- OMG THEIR HASHBROWNS are amazing! The customers service was so sweet, our waitress was very attentive and nice. I really recommend this place if you're staying in the area!

Really delicious food. I had the pleasure of eating my birthday breakfast here (outside) on a gorgeous day. The eggs were fluffy, the coffee strong, and the toast with garlic butter was out of this world!! The only thing is that the service is pretty slow. Like very slow. Other than that, the food is fresh, the ambiance indoors is wonderful and I recommend visiting for a bite to eat.

So good we visited twice! Set at the rear of Amsterdam Hermitage in a tranquil garden is this lovely chilled place serving really tasty food. Great coffee too. A solid rather than extensive menu. Great friendly service as well. Would definitely recommend for brunch - although do note they switch to lunch menu at 11am (which also looks good!)

Delicious and generous The place is cosy and trendy at the same time. It made me think of Australia, where brunching is sacred. I came twice already and will come back very soon as I live closeby. It's the perfect place to bring friends on a Sunday. Pancakes are very good and the frittata too. I highly recommend it!

This is by far the best breakfast/brunch restaurant I have ever been to. It is small, but very cozy, their food is super instagramable :) it makes you feel super spoiled and fancy without the poshness, it is relatively cheap and they have excellent service. They are very good at adjusting their meals, and have excellent coffee. You will want to return! My faves so far (in my two visits in less than 4 days!) are the benny boy in any of its versions, and the avocado toast (YUM!) their pancakes are also good, but more as a side meal. There is a small but well stock play corner for children. Will return!

Great discovery for a top breakfast! We'll definitely start our next trip in Amsterdam with a breakfast at Dignita In the weekend they don't take reservations, but show up early and even a party of 9 (like us) will be seated fast!! Friendly staff and of course great food!

Ok so here's my super positive review of a super awesome place. Dignita has impressed the strongest of food critics, that I know. And I'm happy to say that I'm 'almost' a regular. From the decor to the service to the 'OH SO YUMMY' food. Dignita has my vote. It's one of the view places I can always count on. The food is fresh, it's carefully thought out and everything on the plate is beautifully paired. My favorite is their Benny Boy, I just can't ever get over the yummy potato hash. Also green paradise is the most amazing green juice I've ever had. Thanks Dignita for being such a feel good cafe. :)...Till we meet again!

As my friend also said - it has been a while since I have seen such a good menu. So into it, I love it! First time I went, I had the Eggs Benedict with salmon, I could not resist. I thought the dish looked nice, tasted great, and was very filling. Unfortunately, the fullness kept me away from trying the pancakes. But that is the more reason to come back. So indeed, I did come back. Yet, I did not go for the pancakes (there shall be a next time). I started of by ordering the Raspberry Beets with chia seeds and lemon juice - loved it. It is a great starter, and it is less sweet than you would normally expect. This was followed by the Forest Dwellers with an extra side of black pudding. It was a great tasting mix of different mushroom varieties, served on top of sourdough bread. All of this was topped with two properly poached eggs, allowing for the oozing yolk to form a nice sauce. Overall, this is place is a good reason to venture into the west-end of Oud Zuid. Far less busy than the similarly-minded Bakers and Roasters, so you do not wait for an hour or more if you are hungry, and need a filling and tasty beginning to your day.

Thank you for being such an awesome awesome person!!) Delicious brunch menu with drinks to match? Tick tick tick!!! Oh and doing something good for the people (by literally stuffing your face with food? Ticktickticktick!!!! I'm glad I made my way out of the neighbourhood to visit this new brunch place that's sitting a little further south that I like to venture but all of that fuss was soon replaced with oohs and ahhs as I literally drooled over the menu. They have some revitalised concepts like the salmon and sides that were incredible! And some new menu items I had never seen before on offer for brunch in Amsterdam like the zucchini frittata which oddly, tastes a little Asian inspired with the coriander finish but let me tell you, it was like flavour country in my mouth! And cocktails for brunch? Don't mind if I dooooo! They were incredible. G&Tea? It's practically a breakfast drink! I'll have 3! And lastly.. coffee. It was good. Creamy and simple. I'd like to head back just to be sure it was a good as I remember. I can definitely see this little place knocking off some favourites for brunch off the list. Just wait.. you'll see! But get in quick before the influx of fans get to it and you'll be lining up into the street to get in!

My favorite spot in Amsterdam. The Japanese inspired salad bowl, the poached eggs on hash browns were both delicious and possibly the best carrot cake I've ever had, even though it lacked the sour cream frosting I love so much, their version didn't need it. The place has three levels and it's full of friends and family and is filled with light and great staff.

This place already seems popular and it hasn't been open that long! But I definitely see why. Delicious food with large portions in a cozy setting. The perfect place for brunch! As Oana said, the food is totally Instagram-worthy. Don't be shy--it's a piece of art. I almost didn't want to eat it since it was so beautiful. But I did and it was delicious! The tea here is very good. I mean it's a good high quality tea. I hate when I get crap tea at some of these "nice" places. Just be aware that if you get a pot, you should probably share it. It's a good 3-4 cups inside! There have sweets and pastries on display as soon as you walk in, so they might hook you right away! Accessibility is nice with the tram but I would leave the bike parking to the Amstelveenseweg corner as there's not close bike parking in front of the store.

We found this place just because it was close to our hotel and it was really good, and very friendly staff!! No long wait, pretty good size restaurant for Amsterdam. I had the American stack pancakes and my husband had the Benny boy and they were both amazing!

Wow. I came here 3 times in a 5 day period just for the pancakes! They are unbelievably delicious. I wanted to give other dishes a try, but I just couldn't cheat on my favorite. Finally, I decided to try the eggs Benedict, and I really, really loved them too. Dignita is truly a 5 star experience, and despite what the one reviewer said about people being soft in their giving out of 5 stars because it's food for a cause, that's not what they're about. The experience is truly that good. The service is even better than the food! Every person I interacted with here was incredibly kind, and I now wonder if this place is really just a front for an alien race of loving beings who know how to make the perfect pancakes. I dunno, I'll let you decide. Visit Dignita, and spend your money happily knowing that you are contributing to a cause while having some of the best brunch you'll ever have.

Really good food worth waiting, even over 20 minutes. Staff really nice and the place itself has a great, enjoyable interior :) I definitely recommend as I will go back there myself

I chose something w salmon and poach eggs, and even though i don't like poach eggs, The way my plate looked like made me eat everything without even noticing that those eggs are in there and I don't usually like them. Profi chef does that. * drinks: healthy smoothies, cocktails and coffee * cappuccino: decent to good *prices: 10-15 eur brunch, 4 eur smoothie I say within reason All the profit goes to Not for Sale, an Ngo that helps victims of human trafficking. So eating here kinda helps people. Definitely bringing my friends in here.

Delicious! Brunch was very nice. Funky little restaurant not far from hotel. I had the Hot Smoked Salmon Royal with my hollandaise sauce on the side.

Nice Café with fabulous food and drinks. They are specialized on poached eggs, so almost every dish contains one. You also get two breakfast options with croissants. The breakfast options can be ordered until 11, the rest is available the whole day. We tried several dishes and recommend you take the forest dweller and/or one of there cakes (the chocolate brownie was increadible). The pancakes looked also very yummy. Go there and try it out ;)

A very good brunch place with some of the best coffee I could find while living in Amsterdam. The staff are great and the atmosphere is quite cosy. I would definitely recommend the Eggs Benny and Halloumi or a couple of the nice ham and cheese toasties . For a birds eye view of the place it's best to sit in the row of seats on the second floor facing the door. If you're going by yourself it's still great because it's way quicker getting a table compared to groups of two or three. All in all a great place to go either by yourself or with family/friends

INCREDIBLE. I REPEAT: INCREDIBLE. Do yourself a favor and have brunch here during your stay in Amsterdam. Rent a bike, take an uber, walk, i dont care, JUST DO IT. This place is THAT good. Pictures dont do it justice. For once! A brunch that had creative, delicious, hearty, healthier options! We had Moist light fluffy pancakes, and two savory egg dishes with delicious sautéed vegetables including my truffle mushrooms. We'll never forget this brunch!

Long story short: everything was perfect at Dignita ! Terrific food, excellent coffee, highly friendly staff, awesome deco and cosy atmosphere. Not afraid to claim it just ranked #1 in my top brunch places ever!

Every bite was better than the following. Definitely order the Truffle Mushrooms as a side to any dish. I counted, the word incredible was used 26 times between the 4 of us.

The atmosphere is trendy and when busy quite noisy. The food is presented nicely and tastes excellent.

This place was good, but it didn't blow me away. I had the poached eggs with salmon, and I was surprised that the salmon was cooked. It seemed like a popular breakfast place. It took a very long time between the coffee getting there and the food, so I didn't love that. I probably wouldn't go back.

Love this place!! Was looking for a breakfast place close by and saw the reviews for Dignita on Yelp. So glad we ended up going here. I ordered the eggs Benedict as did my mother, and my father had the Black Forest pancakes and soup. Everything seemed so carefully thought out. The eggs being served on potato pancakes with an interesting hollandaise and the pancakes tasted like delicious cake with all the trimmings, but the potatoes were a tad over-salted. The soup was an interesting chickpea peanut and veggie soup that sounded strange but tasted incredible. Friendly service, great decor and environment, fantastic price. Highly recommend!

Love the food and the service. Weekends are very busy but worth the wait. Have been going here for years and never get sick of the food. Best breakfast food in Amsterdam and all for a good cause.

My sister suggested I visit Dignita for brunch and I'm so glad she did. It's right in my neighborhood, so it's perfectly within reach for weekend brunches (rain or shine). The cafe itself is beautifully appointed, with cute decorations throughout. It gives off peaceful vibes, so if I ever want to get work done, this looks like a great spot to swing by. My sister and I went over later in the afternoon on a Saturday. There was already a line snaking outside, so we put down our names and number. Wait time was around 25min, but it was well worth it. Dignita features a wide variety of cocktails, healthy juices, teas, coffee, etc. My sister opted for chai tea while I enjoyed a summery Pimm's Cup. The menu had quite a few brunch options, so we needed extra time to figure out what we wanted. Everything sounded delicious on paper. My sister and I finally decided to order: zucchini and chickpea fritter, forest dwellers, and crumpets. Everything was lovely. The ambiance is perfect for weekend get togethers. Service is tight and ran smoothly. Drinks were stellar. And the food was delicious - it lived up to the descriptions on the menu. Definitely making this a regular brunch spot.

A great brunch place in Amsterdam, would definitely recommend. I arrived around 10 am on a Sunday and it was already full. The person who greeted me was really nice and found me a table soon enough. Everything on the menu looked delicious, at last I decided on the Hot Smoked Salmon Royale and a Flat White. The poached eggs are to die for and the potato hash was crispy. Surprisingly, the salmon was cooked, but great with the apple cider hollandaise sauce. The food was rich but satisfying and the Flat White strong and hot - great way to start a day. The store is small but cozy, and there's a great selection of cakes and pastries. Staff was warm and welcoming, and service didn't take too long. The seating area upstairs is tight, and there are some tables downstairs too. I would highly encourage to make a reservation, there was a longer line when I left than when I walked in.

A small really cool place. The food was good (the meat lovers dish was tender as promised). Extremely clean, from table to restroom, and the service was lovely. Enough options for vegetarians, only salad and muzli for Vegas

Yum yum yum! Great brunch spot! If u like good food and much of it Dignita is the place to go! Had the fritter first time round and the eggs benedict with salmon the second time. Both amazing! Great presentation of the food, great service and atmosphere :) lovely to sit outside in the sun but also very light and airy inside. Hip and happening especially among the expat community. Definitely a place to check out

Food paradise does not have a wait at 11am on a Saturday. Food paradise names dishes "Meat Lovers". Food paradise has jalapeños and isn't afraid to put them on things.

Good food and very friendly staff, but unfortunately not as vegan-friendly as I had hoped. Dignita's only all-vegan options were a sweet granola and coconut yoghurt dish and a salad; everything else containing meat or dairy of some sort. I ended up getting the salad (which is always a little annoying having as the only option when going out) as I wanted something on the savory side. It was tasty, but quite a boring vegan alternative. They had a great caffe mocca that they were able to veganize.

Love this concept, love the place, love the food. But only come here for brunch on the weekend if you've got lots of time and great company to spend it with. It took us over an hour just to get someone to take our food order at 12 on a Sunday, and needless to say by the time we got our food we were slightly hangry. That said, it was delicious, far more inventive (in a good way) than Amsterdam's usual brunch fare, looked beautiful and was very well priced to boot. The coffee was nice too. If you want to go here for brunch, go ASAP before it turns into the next Bakers & Roasters (i.e. so packed you couldn't dream of getting inside on the weekend) ;-) Always recommended during off-peak hours - I think it would be a lovely place to work as well.
