Dillard’s consistently delivers a great shopping experience with a wide selection of clothing, shoes, and accessories for all styles. The store is well-organized, making it easy to find what you’re looking for, and the staff are attentive without being pushy. The fitting rooms are clean, and the checkout process is smooth. Whether you’re looking for casual wear or something more formal, Dillard’s remains a reliable choice.

Updated review, July 2025: Although the rest of the mall is rather empty, Dillard's here is a trooper! Their floors are well-stocked with the latest merchandise. They have employees ready to assist. The fitting rooms are neat and tidy. The colorful racks of name brand clothing and shoes and everything else, just wow! Look for special deals on the clearance racks, shop midweek daytime if you want a truly quiet experience, and of course, enjoy the great air conditioning while you shop. It really is splendid pickings. Old review from 2019: I am telling you what. This store is only getting better, mostly thanks to conscientious staff who take their work seriously and with pride and joy. We all enjoy a bit of shopping when we can, and sometimes it is a dull, soulless experience wandering around a store and hoping to find that exact something or that inexact something. It gets tiresome and sometimes hopeless. Dillard's employees are like your shopping sidekicks, your C3PO of exploring the sandy dunes for what you need. We found our helper in the kind, vivacious assistance from a gal in the men's accessories/cologne counter. Renate (not sure of spelling) was quite delightful as she showed us around to the different counters and helped us to discover a new cologne for the upcoming Father's Day gift we wanted. She was patient and yet pointed us in all the right directions so we could decide. What a joy to have her assistance! We purchased a new cologne and got a few samples of a couple others. Due to a promotion we also got a small gift of a travel mini container for cologne. Of course, as I always do, I saved the perfume-soaked sample cards of the different fragrances we had tried. They will be in the dresser drawers at home to provide a nice scent and we will remember how helpful Renate was for a long time. Thank you, Dillard's, for hiring good people and stocking great products.

Google
Still Dillards, but it is really incredible to how few people are at the mall. Back in the day, on any given Sunday, there would have been a couple hundred people in the store. Today i counted maybe 20, workers included. Christmas selection was beautiful though! I could spend a couple grand in there easy!

Every few years my husband decides he needs new Levi’s, so off we go to Dillard’s. This time he didn’t find his 550 in his size, but being the flexible guy he is, he tried another brand. Dillard’s was very well lit and the displays appealing.

So, Dillards has a return policy that you can return the items in original unworn condition with tags still on it. So I had a couple of shirts to return with tags on them not worn and the lady at the counter decided to start smelling the shirts. This is so gross to me. I wonder if Dillards force their sales people smell clothes and stuff. They are on commission so what would make someone want to pickup an item and smell it. People try on stuff in the store all the time. LOL. So gross. No money in this world would get me to do that and the sales people there are doing it for free.

I like shopping at this Dillards location. It is less crowded and today Kim Nguyen was very helpful to me with my Lancome and Shisiedo purchase 6/7/25 Saturday after noon. However the caucasian woman at the Clinique counter however was rude to my daughter asking her “what was she doing?” Like she was not doing what any other person was doin in the mall. She need to know how to at least be polite and welcoming to ALL customers. She could use some training from Kim Nguyen (5 stars). Had I known she spoken that way to my child at that moment, instead of hearing it at home I would have spoken sternly to her.

I love this Dillard’s at Willow Bend Mall. They always have the best selections with very friendly employees. Today I visited and had the best experience with Jihan in the ladies swimsuit department. Her manager, Alma, was extremely helpful and sweet too! My compliments to Brooke the general manager for having such caring and kind employees. I will see you all again soon! Thank you!

I’ve tried to be a loyal customer to brick and mortar stores like Dillards… However, they don’t deserve the loyalty! Pathetic service… Can’t find any help within the store. Furthermore, their customer service is non existent. Absolutely do not buy men’s suits from this miserable excuse of a retailer. They do not deserve your business ! Go to a professional men’s store and not this overpriced and under providing failure of a company. Jos Banks, Men’s Warehouse, Nordstrom, Brooks Brothers. These retailers know how to take care of a men’s clothing customer. This incompetent business does not and will not !!!

Yelp
Only problem with Dillard's in Plano is the lack of sales associates to help you. ‍‍ I would suggest you hire more attentive sales associates and allow the customer to not get frustrated.

Yelp
Ruined both me and my mother's day. For more than 10 years, my family and I have been loyal to The Shops at Willow Bend, and especially loyal to its Dillard's department store. About two weeks ago, I purchased an olive green Polo Ralph Lauren hoodie from the Dillard's in Stonebriar Mall when it was 30% off. After waiting, I looked back at the website to see that it was now 50% off. So, I asked my mother if she could take the hoodie to the Dillard's at Willow Bend and get its price adjusted. Unfortunately, the terrible service at this location made this simple task very difficult, and ruined our day. Before work, she returned the hoodie to the cashier at the Polo Ralph Lauren section of the department. My mother described the man working there as rude, loud, impatient, and impolite. After she had returned the hoodie and explained that it was 50% off, and that she would like to buy it again, the rude man told her that it was not possible, and that it would take 24 hours to be inspected and put on sale, even though she had just returned it and wanted to buy the exact same hoodie again. She asked for a manager, and the manager told her that it also took 24 hours. She had another item that she wanted to return, so she asked the Polo Ralph Lauren cashier if he could return that for her, too, and he barked at her, saying that it had to be returned in the home section. At the home section of the department, my mother asked the young lady working there if she could return the item, and help her with the Polo Ralph Lauren hoodie she had just returned as well. She returned her second item, but the lady told her that she was unable to help with the Polo hoodie. Just before leaving, my mother asked one more worker if he could help, and the worker was kind and told her that he could. Unfortunately, my mother was now late for work, and she had to leave. Later, she bought two of the hoodies online (to avoid shipping fees for under-$100 transactions) and we'll be going there to return one of them. Rest assured, I will not be shopping from the Dillard's at The Shops at Willow Bend again. They've lost my service and my 10+ years of loyalty. I will be sure to speak with a manager the next time that I'm there, and I will make sure that the rude Polo Ralph Lauren serviceman is held accountable for his disgusting behavior. Goodbye, Dillard's at The Shops at Willow Bend.

Yelp
If your pickle gets left out in the sun, it'll get shrivelled and like a rock (sort of like your bf lately), but that's Dillhards. This is not that. This Dillard's is in the northeast corner of the Willow Bend Mall and is one of the main flagship stores here. They're not as obnoxious as Macy's but are similarly priced to Macy's and JC Penney's. They have a bit of everything and I probably like them a little bit better than most of the department stores - but nevertheless, with these kinds of prices, there are only a few things I'd ever come in here for.

Yelp
I very much dislike giving 1-star reviews, but our experience here was so negative that I feel I have no choice. The employees in the shoe department are clearly vying for commissions, or think everyone who walks in is planning to steal shoes, or both. Regardless, I cannot think of the last time I had a more negative experience at a retail store. My friend and I came to look for bridesmaid shoes. The rest of the store is clean and seems normal, but as soon as we walked into the shoe department things changed. We were approached by a male employee at first, who asked if we needed any help (normal). We continued to browse the shoes and he followed us very closely, which made us feel like we were being monitored for potential theft (not normal). Where were we supposed to hide the shoes we were apparently going to steal, in our small purses? A female employee then approached us and at first was very friendly, asking if we needed any help and complimenting the shoes we were trying on. She gave us her name and told us to let her know if we had any questions (normal). However, she did hover and watch us like the male employee did, making us feel uncomfortable (not normal). Then things went downhill. We didn't find the gold heels, but my friend did find another pair of shoes on sale. As we were making a final walk-through of the department, the male employee came over to us and grabbed the shoes out of my friend's hand, saying "I can hold these at the counter for you". We did not say anything to him, did not ask him to take them, and had not spoken to him since we first entered the department. The female employee quickly walked over to us and told her co-worker "these are my customers," taking the shoes from him. Then she reprimanded us, not-so-politely informing us "that is not how this works. You are my customers, not his" and continued to scold us for giving the shoes to him instead of her. Again, we did not approach the male employee, he came up to us and took them. This fight for commission on our $20 pair of shoes, if that's what it was, was absolutely ridiculous and made us feel as if we were children who did not behave. Truly an appalling way to treat your customers.

Yelp
Loss of sale and a customer Shame on you for not training your staff on what is more important. Cleaning out dressing rooms left overnight with merchandise from previous lazy staffers or leaving a customer at the checkout counter waiting to purchase /order a dress. I went to your store to try on the Alex Evening/Cocktail dress knowing from a friend that I would possibly have to order my size and color due to low inventory. I arrived this afternoon around 12:15. I actually found my size but not the color. I staffer knew I needed to order my dress and I went to the counter near the dressing area. After watching her going back and forth cleaning out the dressing area for almost 10 minutes I put my dress back on the floor rack and left. Also while checking out your site for possible inventory in the color I needed found the dress on another site at a cheaper price.

Yelp
My sisters and I came in to get a pair of shoes and after no interaction with a group of ladies in the makeup section, they greeted us with mean stares and looked over at us multiple times to stare and us while chatting amongst themselves. As a person who works in retail, I would never treat my clients this way. This immediately made us uncomfortable because my mom and sister are outwardly muslim and I felt as if this was racially driven. I also noticed that other customers where not treated this way. This Dillards needs to work on making customers feel comfortable and welcomed. Very sad & inappropriate. do better.

Yelp
You would think that being friendly would be part of a salesperson's job description. This mens dept little man was less than helpful. He was almost hateful! He made a decent day bad! I love Dillard's but in Dallas I think You'd get better service. This man acted like I was telling him he had to help me move a couch while in his 3 piece suit!! He finally looked online but we couldn't find the pants. I hates being a butthole but I did throw clothes like I was at a garage sale...(was that a BAD thing?)
google avatar

Brandon P.

Yelp
Needed a black suit - was able to get a Ted Baker 65% off and had the most knowledgeable, caring salesperson Sandra in the suit department organize everything. Recommend to all my friends who need formalwear. Great sales, polite salespeople.
google avatar

Kurt V.

Yelp
With Macy's on the downhill slide, Dillards might be one of the best mall anchor department stores left around. They got great brands of men, women, and children's clothes, home furnishings, and accessories. I know a lot of folks have rated this particular store low on customer service, but I don't get it from my visit here. In fact, I found the opposite, great service.
google avatar

Rano O.

Yelp
Worst customer service and return policy ever! You even never go to a store and easily find someone to check you out. I need to remember not shop there any more.
google avatar

Yelp
Horrible experience at this store. My friend and I came in at 8:10pm and headed straight to the shoe dept knowing we only had until 9:00pm to shop. My friend found the shoes she was wanting and tried on a couple of sizes and colors. The whole time the sales lady kept telling her to just buy both pairs! Finally she decided on one of the pairs and as she was checking out, the sales lady exclaimed "those were on sale"! My friend handed over her gift card she got for Christmas and then she runs the card and said she owes more money! Turns out she had rung up both shoes even though my friend had been very clear she only wanted one of them! So then my friend has to use her debit card. We were locked in the story for over 10 minutes because no one would come and let us out.

Yelp
The ladies at the Lancome counter have some of THE BEST customer service I have experienced in Department stores. The employees in the shoe Department were just as nice.
google avatar

Frank S.

Yelp
Great products, great sales specials... High-end quality goods here at really good prices. Their men's department is top notch and the people who work there really know their clothes. Their Polo department is one of the largest you'll find, and it's the only place I've ever seen Polo go on sale. They also carry the Hart Schaffner Marx brand of pants and suits which are super premium quality. Their line of gold label men's dress shirts are some of the best. High thread count, soft and well made. Good selection of men's shoe brands and styles. Almost exclusively shop at this store for men's clothes any more. Last week caught some items on sale at 65% off. As my daughter would say... Dad had a "mall haul".

Yelp
belts, shirt, shoes etc. this place has it all! nice staff, clothes never worn before, good tags. can pay with credit card or even cash! my only compliant: when u buy socks, you have too buy at least 2. sometime I lose 1 in the dryer (or may be washer). now i have 3 socks. Where i supposed to put the 3rd? also good name: Dillards. Tells u every thing and more
google avatar

Krista N.

Yelp
I consistently get great service here, regardless of department. Employees actively approach and try to help customers, and I rarely have to wait to pay for items. It's retail, it happens sometimes, but it isn't the norm. Seriously, I appreciate the way people here are genuine with customers and keep the store clean and easy to shop.
google avatar

Yelp
Overall the best selection of Women's swimwear. Blows other swimsuit specialty shops and department stores out of the water! Love Dillard's!!
google avatar

Kate N.

Yelp
Had a very bad experience when I tried to return a pair of pants and a shirt. Bought both full price with all the tags still attached to them. The woman was very condescending and told me that I kept them too long. It was only 33 days. I didn't know that they don't take anything back past 30 days. No refund. NO CREDIT. Even with receipt. All the other stores I know will take items back and at the very least give you store credit at the current sale price. I haven't return anything to Dillard's in a long time because I don't normally shop there. I guess I won't be shopping there in the future too. Terrible.
google avatar

Dee Y.

Yelp
This isn't a large Dillard's but it has a decent women's shoe selection and sale. However, I had a bad experience here around the men's accessories/ties area overhearing a very rude middle-aged male employee refusing to hold an item for an old elderly couple who just opened a Dillard's charge and wanted to buy an item with the Dillard's store card extra discount. The employee refused to honor it saying something along the lines of not being able to provide that extra discount until the next day, and also refused to hold that particular item for the old couple. The couple left, and the employee was gossiping about that couple behind their back with another employee, saying things like "they'll just return it the next day" or "this Dillard's is turning into the Irving location overrun with low lives". I came away feeling very sad for that elderly couple. They must have been approaching 70 or so and were not in the greatest physical shape. I can't believe any employee or person would react so rudely to old people like that.

Yelp
1000's of swimsuits on sale. 65% off. Every one of them. Every single rack with the sale price. Every. Single. Rack. A sea of swimsuits. So to speak. I try on, oh, about 12 swimsuits. One is a winner. Wait, this one has no sales sticker? I go to inquire. No sales person anywhere. And I look. Go into mall for about 30 minutes and come back. No swimsuit sales person still. I find a nice sales person somewhere else. Finally. She's scans. No sale. But why every rack with sales prices?? She walks the ocean of swimsuits with me. All racks say sale. The checkout counter has large sign that says 65% off. But THIS one suit is not on sale. I call the office. They send a manager. She confirms the one suit, THAT ONE SUIT, is not on sale. Maybe an internet return. Can they make an exception? NO. Seriously?? So I've wasted my time at Dillard's. Again. Oh wait. It gets better. I go home to find the suit online. Using photos I took of the SKU. The swim suit is permanently reduced in price. Where? Dillards.com. How much? 65%.

Yelp
Was there two nights ago and couldn't find any help in cosmetics until store closing...two sales ladies talking by the Lancôme counter. When they saw me they ignored me. Same in handbags. I went to Dillard's with intention of purchasing a handbag if I found the right one. The associate in handbags saw me, but she was speaking to someone so I continued to look. I wanted to see two bags under the glass. 15 min later she was working on a display. She saw me and made eye contact but ignored me until I was basically right next to her. By that time she said 'may I help u', to which I said 'u could have 15 min ago when u saw me but you didn't bother so why bother now' and she walked away with no apologies. What is the deal with so much poor customer service lately? Do they really think I am ok with buying something from a store with associates who couldn't care to even walk over to me and offer help? Too bad because she apparently doesn't need the commission or to increase her sales in her dept.
google avatar

Hannah M.

Yelp
Horrible management. Bad energy. Employees will literally hit and fight each other over a sale. The best part is that management does absolutely nothing about it. The store manager as well as assistant manager looks at you like dollar signs. As my point being, I would STRONGLY suggest not shopping here.
google avatar

Mary S.

Yelp
Dillards will be getting my business when it come to makeup for a couple of reasons. First keeping myself on budget, it's a lot easier to not make impulse buys when you need a sales associate to get items for you. Me in Sephora usually start with the intent of buying one thing, and walking out with five. Second Dillards gets my business for their service. As noted above shopping the old school way via a counter requires the assistance of a sales associate. I've gone to Macy's twice with the intent of buying foundation, and both times I was ignored. Both times I've gone over to Dillards and was able to get help, next time I will just go straight to Dillards. Didn't catch her name, but props to the nice young woman at the Estee Lauder Counter. She had a customer one my most recent visit. but took the moment to acknowledge me, and let me know she would help me when she was done. I bought my makeup, and a cute decorative pillow just because.

Yelp
The 5-stars is for Lawrence at the Women's shoe department. He provided such outstanding service! A true chivalrous gentleman, and so helpful! He went above and beyond to carry 7 boxes of shoes to customer service for me, and he was limping from possibly a bad knee. He has the best attitude I've ever encountered with anyone in Sales! His charm and positivity earned him quite a commission, I hope! Cause my purchase was deep in the thousand-dollar range just for shoes. And it was all because he devoted such time and patience to me! Management is a tad bit rude. My rewards had expired, but Dillard's card services instructed me to resolve the issue at the store level because when it was active, I tried multiple times to use it for online purchases, but all attempts failed due to technical difficulties on Dillard's end. Since this was a first for me, and it was technically Dillard's fault for poor tech maintenance, the card service company assured me that the store should give consideration to my situation since I've been such a loyal customer for several years. Management obliged, but it definitely felt very forced. I even had to make two trips to come back to the store, cause the sales manager said that she wanted to consult with the store manager on the first trip. What a way to inconvenience a customer. A different, but somewhat similar situation happened with Victoria Secret; but they were totally accommodating, especially when they reviewed my track record with the company. So I was totally surprised with Dillard's management on something this petty. What's a one-time 10% reward when you're keeping a long-term relationship with a customer? Especially if you know the customer earned it with purchases. If it expired, so what? It's one thing if there's a pattern, but that wasn't the case here. After fighting for the what I've earned, I was reluctantly granted the reward. 2-stars for store management on this review. After this mess, I'm seriously thinking of just canceling my Dillard's card and switching to Nordstom...

Yelp
They have really good clothes and shoes here. I was in the shoe section and I found some good Sperry's here. The shoe salesmen are kind of pushy. I had two people help me with finding shoes. And another person help my sister find shoes. The lady told my sister they work on commission and that we should buy the shoes separately so she get commission. You are not supposed to tell people you work on commission. Other than that they have good shoes.
google avatar

Phillip N.

Yelp
My wife loves to go to this particular Dillard's because it usually isn't packed. In addition, its easy for us to look for items we need and then get out of the store. The big thing about this location is the selection of women's shoes, which I don't understand women but okay... Obviously the wife enjoys shoes. For me, it works out. I can usually find something I need here and get out. That is a big plus.

Nomsa M.

Yelp
Awesome deals . They have everything under one roof. Definitely a place to come shop for a bargain in any size.
google avatar

Thiago J.

Yelp
Lancôme and this Dillard is terrible here. I am surprised that this is in such a nice place and gets business. Customer service is zero. I had my receipt and my mascara that clumped up after a week and the brush wouldn't come out of it. I've been doing makeup for a long time and didn't expect this from Lancôme. In part of Dillard's. One of the worst companies to shop from, especially in North Park. Go to Nordstrom or even Macy to her better products. Or better yet, Sephora. Don't even waste your time... Your money will be worth is anywhere else but here.
google avatar

Byoung Kyu S.

Yelp
When there is a huge sale, I usually score an item or two. When there is no sale, I usually balk at most of the prices. They have a Hugo Boss section which is nice. I scored a cool Hugo Boss t-shirt for $16 a while back.

Jamie K.

Yelp
i was browsing shoes at dillards clearence area. I couldnt find the other pair of shoe so I asked a guy for help and he said: "it should be somewhere on the ground. go look for yourself". Obviously that old shortass skinny guy was giving me an attitude and didnt wanna help me. he needs to learn how to deal with customer and change his attitude.

Yelp
James Avery counter is horrible. Love their jewelry but will never shop at Dillard's for James Avery. Sales ladies seemed afraid of their manager. They weren't sure if she would attach a James avery charm to my James avery bracelet and were scared to even ask. Very strange experience.

Tae A.

Yelp
Thanks to the poor customer service at Dillard's, I came back home to find Zappos and found the same pair of shoes for 30% cheaper. The lady working the shoe department walked away and never returned to help me. After 5 minutes I found her talking to her co-worker and acted really surprised that nobody was around to help. I have been a faithful Dillard's shopper for years and will never return.

Cassandra T.

Yelp
I am very disappointed in the customer service I received at this location which has received a lot of my busy over several years. Tonight I was in the store and found a boot on sale with only one left in my size. The sales person believed to be named Susan was aggressive from the start took the shoes from me to hold while I continued shopping. Another customer shopping realized During Discussion that I had found the boots in the same size she wanted. She voiced her desire to purchase the boots if I did not. Once I finished locating everything I wanted to purchase and went to check out And discovered Susan had sold the boots to the other shopper behind my back. I find this to be very sneaky and greedy. Susan was so desperate to make that immediate commission for one pair of boots that she cheated herself out of the commission for 2 pair of shoes. I certainly made sure I located someone else to help me with my other purchase. Very disappointed!

Maggie J.

Yelp
So I think that it is possible that Dillard's is the only store left that doesn't offer any free shipping, but to make matters worse I had an employee tell me that if I spent over $50 you get free shipping, which I know from experience (aka I bought a $70 dress last month) is untrue. So I go there to get a gift off of a wedding registry and let me tell you this company is still stuck in 2002. The only way you could look at the registry was to use one computer they had which had to be fully rebooted which took two employees and 15 minutes, then we finally get the registry and the item I want to buy is out of stock so I'm like let's just order it then. Can the sales woman just scan the registry bar code of course not! because like I said Dillard's is still operating in 2002 and everything must be entered manually. So finally all of the registry info is entered now she needs my card to pay, can I just slide it? of course not! It has to be entered manually! Then I'm getting charged for shipping still and now I'm sitting there for a better part of 20 minutes waiting for a receipt. A RECEIPT!! How on Earth could it take this long? So then they're telling me that my card isn't going to get charged until the item is picked up so unlike any other store where you get charged right away I'm going to have to wait until a random date to be charged, how does that make sense. This all took about an hour, a wasted lunch break and I canceled my order because this was just ridiculous. Plus the staff who really did nothing wrong or right only apologized and I'm sorry but you wasted an hour of my time, an apology does nothing for me. Give me a discount or free shipping or something. Needless to say I don't think I need to go back to Dillard's anytime soon.

Sharon N.

Yelp
Worst customer service out of the large department stores in Plano! If I could give them a minus score I would. The employee are totally rude, ignorant, and petty minded! I won't walk into that store again!
