I was recently on a business trip to London and was thrilled to discover that Canary Wharf has a Din Tai Fung location! I had tried to get a reservation in both Las Vegas and NYC before, without success, so this was a real treat.
We booked online for a group of eight but soon learned the reservation system only allows up to seven guests. We made two reservations for four, and upon arrival, the host kindly explained that next time we can simply leave a note on the reservation, and they’ll seat us together. They were still able to accommodate our full group with only a short ten-minute wait—very much appreciated!
The service was fantastic from start to finish. After everyone ordered cocktails (fabulous, by the way — I had the Shiso Lowball), I placed our food order for the table. Our server was extremely patient and offered excellent suggestions on both quantity and menu options.
Highlights included the Pork Xiao Long Bao, Prawn & Pork Shao Mai, and Shredded Pork & Egg Fried Rice — but honestly, everything we tried was incredible.
