Dine Edinburgh

Great food, short ribs was fab, monk fish was lovely. The pudding was nice and starters were great too. Cocktails were only 6.50 before 6 and a tenner after... very good value. The portions are sensible, if you're a big eater get 3 courses ;)

An excellent place to eat. I had smoked haddock starter which had real smoke taste. Partner had starter scallops cooked to perfection. I had venison, exceptionally tender with raspberry sauce. The whole chilli in syrup was fiery and unusual, loved it. Partner had cooked perfectly hake. We drank a bottle of white, had desserts (not quite as good). Absolutely great place for a more special dinner, good value outstanding cooking.

Dine Edinburgh is a large, contemporary restaurant on Cambridge Street. It is on the first floor above the Traverse theatre and is well located for eating before a visit here or the Usher Hall.  Indeed, there is a pre-theatre menu which has a good range of choices. The lighting is low key and it is decorated with artificial plants with a small tree at one end. The food was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our choices of Monk Fish and Duck Breast. This was accompanied by glasses of a lovely Merlot. Our meal was nicely finished off with Pannacotta and Chocolate Pot. Service was excellent and we were well looked after by Tammy.

Dine Edinburgh offers a pleasant dining experience with a nice ambiance and good service. The food was tasty (especially the pot roasted pheasant), but nothing particularly stood out as exceptional. Also relatively many things were missing from the menu that evening. Some dishes felt overpriced for what they offered (like the oysters and the loin of venison). Nonetheless, it’s a lovely spot for a fine dining evening, and I’d recommend it for the overall experience.

What an outstanding dinning experience we had tonight. My wife was celebrating her 40th birthday, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure that we had an awesome meal. Alessandro truly was dedicated to making this meal an absolutely perfect experience. He even moved tables around, and made my wife really happy. Our server Sonya was incredible, as she had great recommendations and was very attentive. Thank you to Gabi for also taking care of us. The food was spectacular, especially the Scallops, venison and pork cheek. The presentation, the taste, and the portion were great! I highly recommend going there for dinner, as the staff will ensure you have the best experience ever!

Excellent service, warm and inviting atmosphere, food was perfect. Thoroughly recommend for anyone in Edinburgh looking for great food and at a reasonable price. Ideal location, especially if you're attending a show at the Usher hall.

Loved this place. Elegant dining room and a really tasteful and comfy bar. The food was outstanding.

Excellent food at this restaurant. Everything was cooked extremely well. My only gripe was that the portions were a little small and they had run out of some dishes. Maybe you need to order a starter. The acoustics are also a bit loud. However, the ambiance is lonely.
