The food was very well freshly prepared and size was bigger than I expected. It is a nice place to get relaxed at the place while enjoying the delicious food. AA+ if I can give a grade.

Caution bench seating is VERY VERY LOW !! Chairs are suggested branch seating almost feels like your sitting on the floor. Food very good hot

I've lived in the four corners area for 45 years and a month and a half ago was my first trip to Window Rock. A colleague and I traveled up for the day on business. She introduced me to the Diné Cafe. The mutton stew is absolutely fabulous! I highly recommend getting it with the Navajo tortilla. Also had to try a bit of the corn chowder. And nothing rounds out a wonderful lunch better than apple pie and ice cream! The decor in the diner was standard small town family eatery. The place was busy on the day we visited because the tribal council was in session. It is very convenient that this diner is located in one of the best hotels in window Rock if you are staying overnight.

Very calm atmosphere, with great authentic Native American food. The zoo, view of the Window Rock, and Code Talker monument is close by. There are lots of other things to do nearby as well as a shopping mall. Gas stations are plentiful, too. Walmart Super Center, Home Depot, Hobby Lobby, and other restaurants are about 39 minutes away off of rt491 south.

We drove in from Gallup for the Navajo Nation Fair and stopped at the restaurant and we were really impressed. The buffet was amazing! Everything from mutton ribs to biscuits and gravy. Definitely coming back just to eat here

Visited Navajo Nation Inn restaurant on Sunday. Ordered cheeseburger with mashed potatoes instead of fries (previously had this combo without issue), but server said no mashed potatoes available with the combo when she had came back to the table. I think our waitress name is Kandace. & she said I could only choose certain items from the side order so I got potato salad. I was even ordering for my son but he didn’t like the potato salad so I gave him my mashed potatoes…. Even though I had a turkey sandwich with side order of mashed potatoes the Turkey sandwich was prepared sloppy as if someone took a bread that was missing like it was prepared as if I had a big mouth… I’m not sure if they were being unfriendly because my other experience there was okay. I even ordered some gravy and biscuits with sausage few weeks ago and it didn’t even have much gravy and it was not tasty.. To make matters worse, my sister had booked a room with THE INN ahead of time, paid in full, but was assigned a different room than expected upon arrival – causing inconvenience and disappointment. Luckily, a relative happened to be dining there and graciously offered to pay for our meal that day my son and I ate there. Due to the poor service and food quality, I did not leave a tip. Hopeful for improvement, unlikely to return for the food or lodging any time soon. Guests deserve better than a bad day – kindness and professionalism should always be the priority." …

Things have changed here. Ther are open for breakfast most days, no dinner served at all. Friday buffet is coming back but I won't be staying long enough to confirm that. If they have breakfast buffet during your visit, try it. Food is good. I tried the Pasole, blue mush and the biscuit w gravy. Overall, the food is fresh and tasty. Not sure about pricing since meal is included with ny stay here at the hotel.
