Dinesh House

Dinesh House is situated on the ridge between Begnas Lake and Rupa Lake. The view to the 8000m peaks of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Manaslu with Machapuchare in front is overwhelming. The hospitality and friendliness of the Dinesh family is great, so are the meals with vegetables from the own garden. Rooms are simple, but nice and clean. In winter times Dinesh makes a small fire to keep the guests warm and comfortable. These who love nature have a perfekt startingpoint for all kind of hikes to the lakes, temples and hills around. Or just enjoy hanging around in the hammock watching the mountain scenery and listening to the birds!

Beautiful family run guesthouse. Tranquil location and possibility to eat local Nepali dinner freshly made by the family! Recommend this little gem very much. And bonus: they have the sweetest little cat loves sleeping on your lap!

We had an amazing time here at Dinesh house! The family is very welcoming and you are really part of their family during your stay. The food is amazing: self brewed coffee and delicious omelet in the morning and the best dal bhat in the evening! We had a wonderful time here and really recommend staying here if you want a peace and quiet stay!

A little gem of a place. It was fascinating to watch the many species of birds in the area, and I thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. Dinesh and his family welcomed me with great warmth and were incredibly kind and helpful throughout my stay.

Wow, one of the best views i’ve seen in Nepal. The rooms are great and the family really creates a home like enviroment. Their kind and genuine approach is something very inspiring, i really hope to visit this beautiful place again.

A beautiful hidden place with a wonderful garden. The owner and the whole family is just lovely. You will have the best Omelett there and relaxe with a coffee and a perfect view on the lake and the mountains. Highly recommend.

Spent a wonderfully relaxing 3 nights with Dinesh, his lovely wife Dipa and mother Mohan Devi. Dinesh has been operating his homestay since the 1970s and is a pioneer in the area. They are the most lovely welcoming family you could ever wish to meet. The room was very clean, comfortable and airy, and Dipa is an excellent cook. The private balcony overlooking Begnas and Rupa lakes was the ideal spot to sit out for breakfast. Dinesh organises a host of activities including day walks, fishing, cooking with Dipa, boating and a whole range of other cultural experiences. A grilled fish meal in Majhikuna is an absolute must. Come and experience true Nepali village life and hospitality. You won’t be disappointed.
