A Taste of New York in Jakarta – Ciao, New York Night at Dining Room, Park Hyatt Jakarta I recently had the pleasure of attending the Ciao, New York Night at the Dining Room in Park Hyatt Jakarta, and it was a truly memorable experience. The evening was a beautiful blend of culinary excellence and refined ambience, perfectly curated to evoke the spirit of New York. Food & Ambience The food was absolutely excellent — each dish thoughtfully prepared and presented with flair. The ambience was on-point, striking a balance between elegance and warmth, making it easy to settle in and enjoy the evening. The New York theme was well-executed, and the overall vibe felt cosmopolitan yet inviting. Service Service was impeccable. A special shout-out to our servers, Amel, who was attentive, friendly, and made the experience even more enjoyable. Her professionalism and warmth added a personal touch that elevated the evening. Suggestions for Improvement While the overall experience was fantastic, I do have a couple of suggestions that could make future events even better: - Menu Consistency: The inclusion of Indonesian dishes felt slightly out of place given the New York theme. While I appreciate the nod to local flavors, a more cohesive menu would enhance the thematic experience. - Beverage Options: The dinner package only included water, and while I understand there’s a separate drink package, it felt a bit limiting. Not everyone wants premium liquor or expensive beverages — offering a few refreshing non-alcoholic options like fresh juices or mocktails as part of the main package would be a welcome addition. - Dessert Selection: The desserts were delightful, but I couldn’t help but notice the absence of some iconic New York treats. Including classics like black and white cookies, babka, or even Magnolia Bakery-style cupcakes would have been a nostalgic and thematic touch. Overall, Ciao, New York Night was a wonderful experience that I’d gladly recommend. With a few tweaks, it could go from great to exceptional. Kudos to the team at Park Hyatt Jakarta for bringing a slice of New York to the city — I look forward to future themed nights!

GREAT experience to enjoy a sunday brunch with full of wonderful seafood from lobster, naked oysters, flower crab, muscle, abalone to tomahawk wagyu beef, ducks, roasted chicken, lamb racks, chili crab, fantastic desserts, cheese selections and choice of fresh fruits, these are just to name a few. Most impressive is that the chef so polite and invites customers to taste his creation and explain everything you need to know. The services are just superb and ambience are great! For only Rp. 888.000 per pax, it's not only reasonable but also tasteful. The staff are great and participating in the organised art creation and singing/dancing special presentation. I will return again for sure and you should try with no regret for sure!!!

One of the lesser-known restaurants for buffet hotel food lovers in Jakarta. Located on the 22nd floor of Park Hyatt Jakarta, the Dining room restaurant is quite spacious by occupying about half the floor with a city view. The variety of food is not too much, at least the standard foods from appetizer to dessert are available here. Talking about the taste, there is no doubt that it is in line with the standard of a five-star hotel. A little note is that the lighting in certain parts of the restaurant feels quite dark and less friendly for elderly visitors.

Considering that this is a Park Hyatt, I was rather disappointed with the spread. I had many breakfasts and lunches here. They were all adequate but no wow factor to the food. Taste was OK. The only wow factor was the view.

Went there for a team event ,dinner buffet, good selection of dishes although variety wise probably will say not as much as other hotels, drinks like juices are included in the price. Overall I feel the dishes and desserts quality and taste definitely meet the standard for a 5 star hotel.

Had a lunch buffet here, and must say that the food was top-notch! The service was good, and obviously the place was nice! Defo worth the price and is one of the recommended hotel buffets!

Experienced both the breakfast & dinner buffet during our stay at the hotel recently. Overall good quality & delicious tasting buffet spread, helpful front of house staff & chefs managing the stations. Breakfast Decent variety of options to choose from: cold station, dairy, hot western, asian & Indonesian dishes, eggs & noodles, fresh fruits, pastry, etc. Most memorable dish: Indonesian soup like Soto Mie, Soto Bogor. Have had a more expansive breakfast spread elsewhere. Dinner Pasta & steak themed spread during our visit. As the Executive Chef is Italian, these were on point. Also impressed by the dessert table, worth saving room for.

Dining Room at Park Hyatt offers an elegant atmosphere with top-tier service. The food quality matches the hotel’s reputation—refined, flavorful, and beautifully presented. A great spot for a sophisticated dining experience.
