58 Disney World Rides and Attractions, Ranked From Worst to Best 2023

"Find the Iguanodon before a meteor wipes out life on Earth — that's the mission of this bumpy, thrilling Animal Kingdom ride. It can be a little intense for young and older guests, but it's fun for those who don't mind jerky movements and angry dinos." - Travel + Leisure Editors

This ride, like the dinosaurs, is a thing of the past. It seems a bit outdated to me, with jerky movements. While it was surely amazing at one point, it fails to wow anyone today. The line is long, and when I return to Animal Kingdom, I won't be riding it again. That said, the skeleton they have is amazing; I like to think it's authentic.

Google
Very decent ride, bumpy thrilling but loved it. We had fast pass, no wait.

Google
Dinosaur is an action packed ride in the dark with lots of surprises. We found that the ride does move around a lot so if you’re prone to motion sickness be advised. It also may be a little scary for little ones. Several came out screaming. The decor into the ride is nice and really builds up to the story line.

Google
RIP Dinosaur 😭😭 you will be missed but I understand why it was time to move on. I rode this ride within the first few months of it opening and I can still remember standing in the endlessly long line snaking its way through the “museum” slash lab. I had to be 8 years old? I thought it was incredible and that was before I ever saw the movie (Dinosaur is such an underrated movie). I’m just glad my own daughter got to ride it once before it was closed down. Looking forward to new things though!

Google
This ride was amazing!! Even though some of the animatronics were and weren't working, it was still the most prehistoric adventure of all time! Especially with the Carnotaurus! That guy is terrifying to the bone if you're not careful! I LOVED it!

Andrew Engdahl

Google
Dinosaur is a great moderate thrill ride. If you’re looking for an intermediate option for kids that need a step before going straight to more high intensity rides, this is a great option. The ride is dark and bumpy (especially if you sit near the rear of the vehicle); however, my four-year-old nephew just went on it with me and said it was his favorite ride so far.

Google
Whew wee... this was a rough jeep ride! You're being chased by dinosaurs on some very rough terrain. I totally agree with another Yelper. It's totally underrated! It was my husband's favorite ride, and probably my second favorite after Expedition Everest. It has a storyline, and a very cool dinosaur theme. What's not to love? I did feel like I had to hold on, and brace myself from sideway motions using my legs. That's the whole fun part of the ride. It's rugged, and full of adventure. The dinosaurs are named throughout the whole experience. We loved it! My husband kept fake screaming in my ear the whole way. What a hoot! Are they really going to re-theme, or re-imagine it? I'm kind of disappointed by that notion. I love dinosaur themes! Get to Dino Land before it changes to the Tropical Americas land with an Indiana Jones attraction. It doesn't appear to be a rumor. There are articles about it everywhere. What a bummer! Experience it while you can. We thought it was worth a Lightning Lane selection through Multi Pass. But, it may not be everyone's cup of tea.

Google
I rate it as one of the top 5 scariest rides in Disney World. If you have a little one who likes dinosaurs, this is not the ride for them. Most of the ride takes place in complete darkness as dinos pop out at you. They chase you in the dark as you hear trees snapping and foot steps coming after you. The ride vehicle bounces around wildly so expect a rough ride all the way through. It’s a great thrill ride overall but scary and rough.

Yelp
I actually really liked this ride. I thought it was going to be some old, bygone nonsense, but it actually had some thrill to it, and really jostled you around! The major downfall to this ride is something that affects MANY rides at WDW, and that is the superfluous fluff BEFORE. The story, and mini movie before getting on the ride is just WAY too long. Even if you want to set up the story a little bit, they could have cut out 30% of the recording and got the same point across. I completely get that they use these movies to waste time while they push the people ahead through, but I do NOT understand why they have you waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaait, then watch a 10 minute video, just to WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIT again! What were yall doing for that 10 minutes?!?! You should go straight from the video to the ride. It's annoying. Still a very decent thrill ride, especially for one of the older rides in the park. If you're thinking about riding it, you better hurry up. I believe it's going away forever soon.

Yelp
SOME RIDES WERE MEANT TO BECOME EXTINCT Dinosaur is a very bumpy jerky ride featuring poorly lit dinosaur heads popping out of the wall as your jeep drives through a pitch black dark space. The faded and dusty dinosaurs resemble what one might see at a roadside amusement park. Believe it or not - this ride with its low-budget looking dinosaurs came out after Jurassic Park wowed movie goers. Dino-Land is slowly being taken down for a new Indiana Jones area. The day we visited, no one was rushing to go on Dinosaur - it was a walk-on (off peak weekday mid-afternoon).

Yelp
Dinosaur at Animal Kingdom is a fun ride, but it's not one of my favorites. The animatronics are cool, and the ride offers a good dose of adrenaline with its quick turns and dark, intense atmosphere. However, the experience feels a bit rough around the edges, and the storyline is hard to follow.

Yelp
In the rotunda, with the T-Rex, the lights dim and a gentleman speaks. But it is difficult to hear anything that he is saying because of the noise from everyone waiting in line. Once you move into a cramped dark room with a video, Dr. Marsh and another scientist talk to you. Then you walk down the stairs to your ride. This time we got the front row. It's been a while since we've ridden, but I don't think we've ever had this vantage point. Once inside, it's dark and cool. All of the dinosaurs are identified, so it's educational. I truly believe that this was once the dinosaur exhibit at Epcot with a very smooth ride through dinosaur land. Now it's an action adventure ride with lots of bumps and thrills. Your photo is taken on your right, when the ride is almost done. We enjoyed the ride - all 3 minutes of it. We did not enjoy the 35 minute wait to get on.

Yelp
This is such a cute old school ride. I heard Disney is gonna retire this ride soon. It shakes a lot and is so much fun. I'll miss it when it's gone.
google avatar

Monique W.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite rides in Animal Kingdom! It originally opened in 1998, as one of the original attractions! This ride gives you an immersive experience where it transports you to the prehistoric world. The ride vehicle is very similar to the Indiana Jones ride at Disneyland California. You ride in a jeep like vehicle, but based on the pre-video you watch prior to the ride, it's suppose to be more like a time rover that can traverse time to the Cretaceous period. It's a bumpy, dark ride. The ride will have you journey through forests, encountering a variety of animatronic dinosaurs with audiovisual effects. You're trying to rescue a specific dinosaur, an Iguanodon, just moments before the asteroid. Dinosaur typically has a short wait time, around 20 minutes or less. I really enjoyed the walk through queue line. It's very much like a museum where you'll see a lot of information about dinosaurs!
google avatar

Brian F.

Yelp
It was a bumpy ride but we were going into pitch darkness. I couldn't see anything in front of me which put me at the edge of my seat. This ride was similar to the Indiana Jones ride but with dinosaurs instead. I didn't know what to expect going into the ride but I had more fun than I thought I would. This is an underrated ride in Animal Kingdom.
google avatar

Kevin A.

Yelp
There has to be plans to reduce this ride. Wry outdated and need a new storyline and modernization.
google avatar

Cassandra B.

Yelp
Awesome fun ride. Accommodating to most sizes. Person in my party was 5 foot 2, 250 pounds, size 3XL and was able to ride comfortably with no accommodations. However, there are STROBE LIGHTS! I have a seizure disorder and there were no signs for strobe lights, so please be wary.
google avatar

Yelp
A ride where you get on a giant rover-like cars (4 seats across and three rows) and get moved up and down, turned as if you're driving over rough terrain, forward and back and around as you replicate time traveling back to the end of the dinosaurs and get "chased" by a few. Mostly dark and noisy, but not a ton of fun if you get motion sickness ...watch your neck after this if sensitive as the ride does jerk you around a bit. Do you get the Iguanadon? Yep. Is it worth it? Eh, not to Genie+ unless you have no time and are running around. A little educational at least! But not an entertaining ride like Everest or Avatar? Better for dino lovers and younger kids. My family didn't find it much of a match.
google avatar

Danielle V.

Yelp
Such a fun ride! It gets really dark and moves around in a car, not a roller coaster. Inside ride that we go back in time to the Dinosaurs. Can be a little scary for children. A must stop!
google avatar

Yelp
A cute ride for kids and adults alike. This attraction is inside Animal Kingdom requiring you to have access to the park (i.e. you need to buy or have tickets to get into the park). The location is in the back of the Dinoland part of the park and next to the Finding Nemo: The Big Blue... and Beyond theater. It has a very nice entrance with several dinosaur exhibits and fossils if you are waiting in line. Like most of the attractions, it has a lightning lane and a regular lane. There is a pre-show where they set the stage for the story. You are part of a group traveling back before the dinosaur extinction event. A well-wishing scientist wants you to bring back a dinosaur when you return. From that point, you are loaded into cars resembling jeeps with no tops, no doors, and 3 rows of seats fitting 4 people across. Then you are off through dark spaces and encountering various dinosaurs along the way. It is a very bumpy ride so I would only recommend it for people in good health without back or neck problems. It is a cute ride that finishes with a walk through the gift shop where you can also view your ride photo.

Yelp
This is a fun ride for the whole family. It's not a roller coaster but more like haunted house on a track. But it's Dino themed and typically more family friendly. Im not giving them 5 stars only because of the new method of virtual queue and lightning bs. Disney if u want money then charge it elsewhere. This new method is total garbage compared to fast pass of old. This is my 4th time and might be my last depending on how the rest of my trip goes.

Yelp
In the past when we were at Disney's Animal Kingdom I always liked this ride. Over the years I completely forgot how much it bounces you around. Well writing it I had to keep an eye on the gentleman sitting next to me who also had no idea how much it was going to bounce about and I kept my hand on my kid's shoulder in front of me so they didn't fall forward. It's rough being disabled sometimes on rides. In the end it was still worth it and we did enjoy it even though my back protested for the rest of the day. We used to take my kids on this every time we came here in the past and they always enjoyed it. If you have the opportunity to be here before dinoland goes away you definitely want to ride this and probably take some pictures outside.

Misty M.

Yelp
This ride jerks and whips you in your seat to much. I got on the ride and thought it was going to be smoother. We looked at the reviews on the website and it said a few drops but no mention how rough it is. At the end of the ride my hip was killing me. It dislocated my hip And I was able to pop it back into place. I love Disney and all the parks. I wish it didn't happen on day two of our 7 day trip. the rest of our trip wasn't as good as it could have been when I had to rent a scooter to make it around. Please be careful on this ride.
google avatar

Megan L.

Yelp
This is a really fun non roller coaster ride. It's a thrilling dark ride that is also fast and crazy. It's not as good as Indiana Jones in Disneyland but still fun!
google avatar

Erik P.

Yelp
This ride is just like Indiana Jones with a different theme. Ride - the car is setup exactly like Indiana Jones, ride whips you around a few times, really bumpy feel, and wouldn't recommend it for younger kids or adults with weak health conditions. Overall ride is okay but half of the ride is being distracted by the actual movement of the car. Wouldn't care to go on it again but if you have the time to go on check it out. Lines aren't as crazy either, wait time was like 30 minutes.
google avatar

Emily L.

Yelp
cool but jolts a lot and felt a bit sick!! it's indoor in the dark which felt nice to get away from the heat. Don't think we will ride again though it's a bit scary and way too jolty. Husband could barely make it to the end...
google avatar

Tae Kyung Y.

Yelp
Dinosaur was an interesting experience -- surprisingly, it had one of the lowest amount of waits at Animal Kingdom and we were able to ride with less than a 15 minute wait. This ride is mainly a dark ride but it has a lot of movement and if you're weak to motion sickness, this may not be the ride for you but you're basically on a "mission" to find some type of dinosaur and your journey begins from there on. I think it resembles any type of Universal 4D ride and it's one of the more thrilling rides at Animal Kingdom. I don't know if I would wait any more than 30 minutes for this ride but if it's a short wait -- it's definitely worth checking out! They also have a cool little queue that you can look around if there is a wait so that definitely helps as well.
google avatar

Thomas S.

Yelp
An indoor ride in the dark. Going back in time to the dinosaur era was the theme of the ride. There were lots of shaking in the cart, but no rollercoaster type of climbing and diving. The visual sound effects were fantastic. We enjoyed it.
google avatar

Krista C.

Yelp
Maybe it's a nostalgia thing for me but this is one of my favorite rides at Disney World. I mean who doesn't love dinosaurs? Dinosaur is a dark ride that takes you back in a time rover to the ages where these magnificent creatures roamed the earth. Your mission is to grab an iguanodon and bring it back with you before the giant asteroid hits. Along the way you encounter some issues with your mission. Where you successful? You'll have to ride it to find out. I find this ride extremely fun. It's one of those classics that never get old so I'm hoping Disney doesn't update and ruin it. As for your little ones they may find this ride a bit scary so it maybe a skip for some. Disney nerd fact: When you are boarding the ride you'll find yellow, red, and white pipes running above your head (see pic below) with chemical compounds on them. The pipes and compound codes actually stand for mustard, ketchup, and mayo. When the ride first opened it was sponsored by McDonald's and this fun little Easter egg was put in.
google avatar

Amanda L.

Yelp
This ride at Disney's Animal Kingdom is a blast! This ride is definitely thrilling and exciting but it also comes off as quite educational without overdoing it. What I mean by this would be the example of the ride's queue area. Once you enter, you are met with all little fossils and informative sections on display. There's also a large dinosaur fossil replica display smack dab in the middle of the secondary queue area. It's quite impressive to see, especially up close! After a few minutes or so you may here scientist Bill Nye on the overhead speakers teach you some dino related facts. Before the ride there is a short 5 minute or so preshow video. You come to find out that the ride is a time rover meaning you're going back in time. You learn about the Iguanodon and that Dr. Seeker has plans to bring it back for research. The actual attraction is dark, scary and exhilarating! It's a phenomenal ride and it's quite immersive. The downside to this ride is that there's lots of tugging from the rover itself so there could be some actual soreness after the ride. It's nothing that can't be fixed by a Disney treat though! The theming and overall small subtle details are awe-inspiring when taking everything in. Due to the impressiveness of the ride and details I would suggest that if you have small children make sure they're ok with dark rides and large scary dinosaur animatronics!
google avatar

Isabella K.

Yelp
Probably the ride I've ridden the most on my last Disney trip mainly due to the fact that my son's current obsession is dinosaurs. The ride is a bit on the older side but shows some cool (fake) fossils in the waiting room. You get on a ride with the mission to save an Iguanadon in the dark while meeting a lot if other dinosaurs. It's a bit scary at time but just enough motion and thrill for a ride wimp like me.
google avatar

Jacky C.

Yelp
How old is this ride? You can tell it is well past its time. The intro video look like it was filmed in the 80s. The ride itself will take you into a series of dark rooms with a lot of mechanical dinosaurs and the rover will shake you viciously, reenacting the rough terrain.
google avatar

Clay G.

Yelp
Dinosaur is a classic. With minimal updates over the last decade or so, the ride still feels fresh. It's fast-paced, exciting, and even a little funny. Also, if you look at some of the pipes in the boarding area you can see the remains of the old McDonald's sponsorship. There's three pipes for ketchup, mustard and mayo.
google avatar

Jeremy J.

Yelp
This is a fantastic ride that is in the animal kingdom park that my family and I went to last summer. My oldest daughter and I wrote this dinosaur ride and it was a lot of fun we had a blast she got scared a little bit and it did have intense spots but it was a whole Lotta fun definitely worth checking out again
google avatar

RuthMarie S.

Yelp
Well I'm glad we had a fast pass To me it wouldn't have been worth the wait Bouncy tilting small drops jungle safari jeep ride Different dinosaurs in the dark What is more interesting and educational is all the facts and information about the history of the earth and the dinosaur period
google avatar

Shonda C.

Yelp
Dinosaur is an exciting attraction at the park. While I didn't get to experience the ride due to time constraints, I did have fun viewing all of the larger than life dinosaur creatures. My inner paleontologist was fascinated by the fossil exhibits and reading about the dinosaur facts.
google avatar

Derrick G.

Yelp
Dinosaur was a much better ride than I expected, I thought it would primarily be a children's ride, but it had quite a few spills and chills, most of the ride was in the dark. Overall, if do not encounter a long wait, it's a good ride for adults and children.
google avatar

Karen D.

Yelp
We should have known. A screaming child was being dragged off this ride as we cut the line with our FastPass. It didn't register because tantrum throwing children surround you at any Disney park but this child had a particular terror laced scream. It's probably why my 6 and 8 year old nephews were asking questions about whether or not there'd be real dinosaurs on this dinosaur ride. I assured them that there would be and we'd be going back in time to see them. (Bad Auntie... I know, I know.) My expectations of the ride were not met, they were by far exceeded. I thought I was in for a Jurassic Park kind of ride with a few fast turns and maybe a dip or two. Nah, fam. It's more like the Willy Wonka psychedelic boat trip meets an S&M dungeon that doesn't allow safe words. Are you afraid of dark elevators? Are you afraid of that elevator plummeting to the ground? Are you afraid of feeling every moment of that experience? The jolts, the jerks, the abject terror, your life flashing before your eyes. All this can be yours for the low, low price of however long the wait is. I see other reviewers talking about the plot and the animatronic dinosaurs. Dude, what? It's such a dark, jerky ride all I remember is the intro to the ride: A scientist talking about going back in time and Clair Huxtable warning of the dangers and the crazy scientist risking it all anyway. One dinosaur eating another dinosaur, and a spiral suggesting time travel. Everything else was pure madness! I haven't laughed so hard in years. My brain simply couldn't register what was happening. I have never been on a ride that was so violently jerky and jolty and I loved every second of it. I didn't feel secure at all. I was holding on for dear life and considering I had hurt my back and knees earlier in the trip, I was rightly concerned this ride would officially do me in. I was so worried about the three children we were with. I would have been terrified at their ages. Their souls left their bodies. It probably took a minute or two for their senses to kick back in. The 8-year old was legit comatose. Best experience ever. It's best you know nothing before going on this ride. Because you're going to come out knowing even less.
google avatar

Kara M.

Yelp
I have mixed feelings about this ride, so I would probably go with 3.5 stars. If you have been to Disneyland and experienced the Indiana Jones ride, you will notice that the vehicles are similar here. That said, I like the Indy ride a lot more even though I haven't seen many of the movies. It was just an overall more pleasant ride experience than Dinosaur. This ride was a little too bumpy for me and you do get jolted around. Be sure to secure all of your belongings or you are likely to lose them. No sunglasses on the head or tucked into your t-shirt neckline while on this attraction. This ride may be intense for young kids. You are in the dark during some parts and the dinosaurs are a bit scary. Though I'm sure your average dino loving kid will think this is a great ride, but maybe not best for a four year old who is scared of the dark. This one was just kind of meh. I would go on it again, but only with a fast pass.
google avatar

Stacy F.

Yelp
I'm usually a fan of roller coasters and any ride that has some speed to it, so Dinosaur was right up my alley. While not a roller coaster, it does offer up some fun twists, turns and bumps throughout a well themed ride with a couple of surprises up its sleeve. The line is usually pretty short, and you can also get a fast pass here if you like. Also, the majority of the line is inside and in the air condition, so that's a bonus. There's a mini pre show that will explain some safety precautions as well as set the stage for what the ride theme is supposed to be. Once past this point, there's another short wait to board your time travel car. You'll some be whisked away to 65 million years ago to the age when dinosaurs ruled the earth. Hold on tight cause you'll have several wick turns and bumps. Also, be camera ready cause they'll snap your photo on this one. Passholders? Be sure to scan your wrist band to get that free digital download of your ride photo. Overall: A An action packed dino themed ride.
google avatar

Bess Z.

Yelp
Opinion of the Ride: - The ride was very unique and well done, except that it felt short. - You can tell a lot of effort was put into the animatronic dinosaurs and they did not rely too much on animated screens. - Atmosphere of the ride was perfect. Nice and scary, just like you would expect from a dinosaur ride. - Make sure you pay attention to the intro video. It provides context for the ride. I noticed a lot of people just talked over it. - We went twice and it ended up feeling quite repetitive the second time. Fast Pass (FP+) or Not: - If you can't get a FP+ to Expedition Everest or Safaris then Dinosaur would be my next pick. However, it's wait time is generally lower than both so Dinosaur would not be my first pick for a FP+. Wait Times: - The ride held steady at 35 minutes during the morning on Thanksgiving weekend and peaked at around 80 minutes in the afternoon.
google avatar

Lorie L.

Yelp
Dinosaur is tucked into a far corner of Animal Kingdom. We booked a fast pass for it but the wait was non existent so we rode it before our booked time and then a second time in a row. Before getting into your vehicle you'll be briefed on the incoming meteor shower and new route. However, the route will be altered by a scientist wanting you to pick up a specific dinosaur. You'll speed through a bumpy path and encounter other dinos along the way. The gift shop you exit through has great t-shirts with funny dino themes.
google avatar

Cynthia V.

Yelp
This is going to sound silly, but this ride still scares me a bit! I know exactly what is coming but you feel so immersed in the ride experience that I get caught up in it all and then surprise! (I won't spoil the surprise for those who have not ridden). Parents take note: this ride can scare some children - it is pretty intense/realistic, dark, and loud. I have seen tons of kids get on the ride excited and leave crying. Luckily, there is a dinosaur themed gift shop immediately after the ride exit where you can hopefully distract them!
google avatar

Tim K.

Yelp
Let's travel back in time and nearly get obliterated by the extinction event 65 million years ago... That's the premise of this ride. It has a great buildup in the beginning with a debriefing room then it's off to the time machine! Traveling to the past, you encounter numerous beasts until a breathtaking finale sure to get your heart racing and wanting for another trip! Ride is fun enough to ride multiple times, and it's (mostly) kid friendly around age 7/8 and above. Younger kids you should gage fear of beasties as they are quite big and believable.
google avatar

Chi K.

Yelp
This ride is super fun- however It is NOT appropriate for kids that will get scared of dinosaurs. I have seen some Parents taking small children off this ride and they are crying due to the dinosaurs popping out and looking ferocious. However - I personally truly enjoy this ride and so does my child who isn't super young. I will go back to It again and again. Disney does an amazing job of making you feel like you are really about to go back into time. I would love to see a dinosaur first hand and this ride gives you a taste of It.
google avatar

Isabel B.

Yelp
Not bad! As you wait in line there are many different dinosaur models and natural greenery which made waiting pleasant. Liked the many different types of dinosaurs. Some of them were so grand it made my kids scared (but in a good way). As much as my kids liked the ride I did too. This is not a fast thrill ride like a roller coaster but more of a visually thrilling ride. I did enjoy seeing the dinosaur model in what we feel would be their natural state with some models in their hunter and attacker state. This is a cool ride. I liked it and hope you and your little ones do too.
google avatar

Tim K.

Yelp
A fun little ride at Animal Kingdom! Although a little outdated now, since the Dinosaur movie has been out for about 20 years, the ride is fun and the lines relatively short. Since it is older, there is more of a focus on animatronics than the animated screens you'll find on other rides. I wouldn't really call it scary now that I'm older, but it could be a bit much for the younger kids. The ride is short though, so don't get your expectations up too high. Overall, Dinosaur is a solid ride at Animal Kingdom!
google avatar

Helene S.

Yelp
Read The Reviews Before You Travel Back In Time Great museum style queue. The ride itself is dark and bumpy. Make sure that you read the reviews. We saw a lot of scared and crying kids that seemed upset by the intensity of the journey into the prehistoric dinosaur times.
google avatar

Austin B.

Yelp
I personally think this ride is underrated and I love it with all my heart! The ride queue is insanely themed, showing many different fossils and artifacts from prehistoric times, making it much more immersive! The cast members are all so friendly and act as if you were transported back in time. In the main room of the queue, there's a giant replica skeleton of a dinosaur and Bill Nye actually talks about the prehistoric age and gives useful facts about that time as well. Once you are loaded into the next room you watch a little fun video explaining what you are going to experience and then you enter the next area and load into the "time travel jeeps". The ride itself is very jerky as if you're off road and it is pretty creepy for little kids. The ride itself has many different dinosaur animatronics and are all so cool to look at! The ride is a few minutes long with a very surprising ending that is sure to make you yell with excitement... Or fear... I definitely can't wait to ride it again!

Yelp
Disney has a magical way of helping you censor yourself. At least until you're about to go over a cliff as a carnivorous dinosaur towers over you. Hope nobody heard. Sorry 'bout that. This ride is a blast. It's not a thrill ride, per say, but there's still plenty of excitement with dinosaurs chasing you and meteorites falling from the sky. The introduction is a bit long, but the payoff to that story line at the end is kind of cute. If I was a kid, I might be a little miffed that our stowaway didn't appear in the flesh, but my boys didn't mind.

Yelp
I love this ride so much. It gets me every time. Fast, fun, scary and just very different from other rides. Thank you Disney for this, I truly always enjoy myself.

Yelp
Board your vehicle and head back in time to the pre-historic age. Your mission is to get a specific dino and bring him back to present day. It won't be easy though; you've got to make it past dinosaurs, including carnivores, and avoid meteors. The ride is dark and very bumpy, but I think it's a lot of fun! The vehicle drives itself along a track. It's one of my favorite rides at the park. Worth the wait if can't get a fast pass.

Yelp
I love Dinosaur!! I've honestly never seen the movie, but you really don't need to with this ride. You hop into a time machine where you go back in time, discovering all kinds of dinosaurs along the way. It may be a little scary for smaller children, but is very thrilling for a big kid like me! Dinosaurland USA is one of the smaller areas of Animal Kingdom, but this is by far the best attraction it has to offer. With that being said, the lines can get reaallly long, and I'm not sure why but it always feels so much longer to wait for this ride than others. But still worth it! This is a ride worth checking out the next time you are in Animal Kingdom!

Yelp
This dark ride scares the bajeebus out of me! Nothing scares me more then dinosaurs-Jurassic Park scarred me for life. This ride bounces, bucks & jerks around so much that you're forced to keep your eyes open and on what's going on around you. My friend I always go with just laughs at me as I scream in terror. sigh. I could do without the preshow as it's kind of outdated and lame.

Yelp
So this ride is located inside Dinoland at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. I really think this is one of the better rides at the park. We had a fast pass and walked on the ride, but honestly there was 5 people waiting in the regular line. It starts out with a short video, that you have to watch. And then you go down to the actual ride. You ride 4 per row, with 3 rows in the car. There are seatbelts you must wear and a pouch to hold your stuff. The actual ride is really fun, bumpy to say the least but fun. You are basically "going back in time" to rescue a certain type of dinosaur. You drive by all different kinds of dinosaurs throughout the ride. There is a big t-rex that you stop at, where they take your picture. Like I said, it is very bumpy and a good portion of the ride is in the dark, complete dark. You can not even see your hand in front of you. I felt so bad for the little girl next to me, because she was terrified, but couldn't get out of her seat. If your kids are afraid of the dark, loud noises or you get sick easily I would say stay off the ride. Otherwise, definitely check it out, because I think its really fun and there are not many rides at this park.
