Take a Jurassic Road Trip To These 13 Dinosaur Parks

"A giant Tyrannosaurus rex stands alongside the Interstate outside of Cave City, Kentucky, letting visitors and passersby know that Dinosaur World is not far. An outdoor museum of prehistoric animals, Dinosaur World Kentucky helped this spot along I-65 earn the title of “best exit” by Southern Living magazine. Tourists can walk along a trail that winds through the forest and look for the various life-sized dinosaurs scattered throughout the park. More than 100 dinosaurs, each with an explanatory sign, can be found tucked among the trees. Its designers have also filled the grounds with faux dinosaur eggs and raptor claws. The park also has a playground and a fossil dig for kids. Parents and older children can relax in a covered picnic area while the younger ones dig for authentic fossils. There’s also a gift shop that offers a selection of eggs, fossils, educational materials, toys, books, and more. This Dinosaur World isn’t the only one in existence. It’s one of three—another is in Glen Rose, Texas, and one more is in Plant City, Florida. This park, and the two others like it, is the brainchild of Swedish businessman Christer Svensson, who moved to the United States in the early ’90s with his family and purchased a former alligator farm in Florida to create the first Dinosaur World. Svensson has been in the entertainment business for more than 30 years and knew a winning idea as soon as he had it. All of the dinosaurs models are made on-site by employees of the parks and measure up to eight feet long. They’re constructed using fiberglass, steel, and concrete." - ATLAS_OBSCURA

Google
Cute place for adults and children. The park was large enough to make a nice outing, but not too big to walk around comfortably. Overall, I thought it was entertaining and informative. The park itself was clean, admission was fair and the location was good. Plus, they have a HUGE gift shop! I recommend coming here if in the Cave City area.

Christin Spiller

Google
Wonderful place. We took our son while he was on spring break. The manager Chris took great care of us as well as the staff. We had an amazing time even though it was pouring rain. We will definitely return soon!

Ruth Montoya

Google
So enjoyed this place and was able to bring my dog too! Very entertaining. The dinosaurs are huge! Everything is so clean and well maintained. Kids love this place. Great for adults too. The gift shop is magical and the people that work there are so nice.

Do Whatmakesyouhappy

Google
Spent a hundred dollars to get in and then they want to charge you extra for doing anything once you are in the park. The animated dinosaurs were the only thing realistic although we did enjoy the walk around to see the dinosaur statues. Very overpriced for what you actually get to do or see.

Julina Stout

Google
A great place for adults and kids. They have a really exciting exhibit where the dinosaurs are animatronic- move and make noises. They have fossils that you can see with a toy dinosaur showing you what they looked like. There is a dinosaur you can climb on and a playground for kids to run around. There is a fossil dig and gem mining experience. I love the trail with dinosaurs because they are a n the trees and every turn you see a dinosaur waiting. The gift shop has a wide variety of items. Definitely worth the trip!

Google
Not a huge fan of this place. I really think it's overpriced. I thought it would be cheaper because of winter and it was not. The stuff they have inside is nice but a little pricey to me. This is better for young kids i. My opinion. Took my son when he was younger was way better then and cheaper.

Amy P

Google
Amazing but prices were a little high. Very kid friendly but the trail went to the side of the road. The dinosaur ride cost a dollar but did nothing but shake its head.Animated exhibit was cool and looked realistic. Dinosuar trail in woods was fun and educational. It told and pronounced the names and tells about their species .Not real busy and quiet for the most part.

Kimberly Robinson

Google
Great place to visit. Also have fossil and gem digs. Where Adults can be a kid. I took so many photos and videos, this was a day I will not forget. Also grabbed souvenirs.

Yelp
Having driven by Dinosaur World countless time between Louisville and Nashville, we finally decided to visit on my wife's birthday. As if the 34-foot dinosaur an I-65 didn't get your attention, it's literally right off of the expressway. The Visitor's Center / Gift Shop is your point of entry. If you bought your ticket ahead of time (recommended) they'll scan it and give you a wrist band. you can also buy your ticket there. A visit to Dinosaur World won't break the bank. There are some add-ons (fossil dig and sifting through sand) that you can add on and that kids might dig. Once you get your wristband you're on your own to roam and explore. There are over 150 (as I recall) life-size dinosaurs on exhibit, all well-crafted and maintained. There's an informational plaque for every exhibit giving the name, pronunciation guide, location information, and a few other facts about each particular dinosaur. It doesn't go into great detail (and doesn't really need to, to be honest). I was surprised how small the Velociraptors were (they're based on actual skeletons)..then again, Jurassic Park set a rather fictionalized standard. In your travels you can go out to the large 34-foot dino that lives along I-65. The information said that that dinosaur is a fictional dinosaur and not based on an actual one. It may seem like it's quite a hike to the that one, but it's really not. In the center of the park is an amazing exhibit that showcases several types of dinosaurs in what may have been an open area, milling about and doing dinosaur things. It took us about an hour to visit all the dinosaurs. The park is kept amazingly clean and during that hour we saw 3 different park personnel keeping it that way. There's an informational dinosaur museum that's got a number of fossils and replicas. Again, the information designed to make you a paleontologist but to give you an overview and a little knowledge. At the end is an animated T-Rex that is 100% AWESOME. The wife and I decided we'd have to visit again when our grandkids get a little older. I love this place.

Yelp
We visited after Mammoth caves, but I wish we spent more time at Mammoth caves instead. I really did not think this place was worth the price. There wasn't much to it. Most of it was a walking path with outdated plasters of dinosaurs. Some were not accurate to the current understanding of how dinosaurs stood and looked. Even though we got some cute pictures, it was a very hot day so it was rather miserable doing the walk. Even my toddler didn't want to keep going because of the heat. Bring your stroller!! The sand pit was in an area that was like a green house. No shade over the playground. The only air conditioned area was a small building with animatronics that terrified my toddler (only area worth seeing) and the gift shop. The fossil dig cost extra even though we already paid over $50 to get in for three adults. Wish we skipped this stop.

Yelp
We've driven past and seen the giant dinosaur and billboard many times, but have never stopped. We decided it was time to check it out! We purchased general admission tickets online, which were not tied to a specific date/time. There are a lot of activities inside! The main draw was the dinosaur walk through the woods, where we got to see a variety of dino replicas, each type with their own information sign. There were a lot of dinosaurs to see, and a pleasant surprise was that you could walk all the way out to the giant dino by the highway to take pictures. In addition to the walk, there was a nice variety of additional activities: a movie cave that was showing a "Walking with the Dinosaurs" special on repeat, a little museum with fossils, a small mini golf course, a fossil digging area, a playground, and a lot of picnic tables (including some undercover). You can bring your own food in. There is a large gift shop with all sorts of dinosaur items inside. The staff was friendly and welcoming. When we checked in, the staff at the desk gave us our wristbands and told the kids that the wristbands were the way the dinosaurs would know not to move when people came by. Another staff person also told us about how they like to add new activities each year, and they're looking into getting a train ride for next year, so we should come by again then. We will definitely be keeping that in mind!

Yelp
Traveling through this area we stopped for my three kids to have a break from the car and burn some energy on a recent trip. We paid almost $70 for two adults and two children since my youngest was free. It wasn't as exciting as the website and information seem to make it. The museum was probably the best part even though most of the exhibits are just replicas. The dinosaur dig had spiders in it and some of the other attractions available actually cost more money. The playground was muddy and the dinosaurs on the path were old and could use a bit of an update. Each group of dinosaurs provided a plaque giving their name and information. The walk was nice to get the kids out of the car for a bit, but leaving there I wasn't sure where my $70 was truly worth it. Been there done that :)

Yelp
Honestly, I thought this place was going to be mediocre at best. We had a couple hours to fill before our Mammoth cave tour and they allow dogs, so we decided to being our grandchildren. This exhibit was much better than I imagined. The dinosaurs had plaques that describes them and where they were found. Very interesting. The path around the park was smooth and easy to walk. The museum was small, but still interesting. We had a great visit.
google avatar

Shannon K.

Yelp
This is a great place for little ones who have a love for dinosaurs. Our grandkids had fun posing for pictures!
google avatar

Carson L.

Yelp
Had a beautiful time the dinosaurs are so beautiful and realistic I love it so munch . Changed my life
google avatar

Tarah H.

Yelp
We loved this place! Kind employees. military discounts! My daughter was 2 at the time and was amazed by all the dinosaur statues. The museum was super cool and informative. We loved the games and the gift shop. The play ground was great as well. I recommend this place to everyone that has kids interested in dinosaurs.
google avatar

Austin J.

Yelp
Dinosaur world rocks for all ages! It was mostly families there, but my wife is really into dinosaurs and we had a blast as adults! Tons of pretty good life size dinosaur recreations to walk around and see, great photo ops. Plus the gift shop is awesome, they even have real fossils you can buy ranging in price from ~$15 for a mosasaur tooth up to several thousand for large and rare bones of iconic dinos! Very convenient to mammoth cave national park, highly recommend making a stop here on your way to/from the park!

Yelp
So, we're presently childless adults, young at heart of course, and we decided from the Dino on the freeway that this looked cool enough to warrant a visit. But let me say that halfway through I realized I was having way more fun than I had anticipated I would be. There are SO MANY dinosaurs here hidden amongst the foliage; seriously the Kentucky hills make for an awesome place for a dinosaur exhibit because it feels so authentic to where dinos might've really made their home. I kept snapping photo after photo and just generally having a great time. There are plenty of additional activities around for your kiddos too. A play place with climbing and slides and the like, a "dig site" where they can play in the sand and uncover "bones," a rock/gem sifting zone, a giant Dino puzzle, and a movie theatre (though that's closed presently). There's also an additional museum with fun Dino facts and artifacts (some replicas, some not). The gift shop is also great. There's stuff for grown-ups like gems, figurines, jewelry, home decor, and stuff for kids like toys, plush, school supplies, and party supplies. There's an assortment of t-shirts in all sizes, postcards, books, and more! This place would've been a dream back when I was in first grade, LOL. (I totally bought a couple dinosaur plushies... shh!) Really convenient location right off I-65, you can't miss it. Gravel parking lot with lots of spaces even on busy days. Bathrooms were reasonably clean and in okay repair, with fun dinosaur airbrush art on the walls. They don't serve food but they do have picnic tables if you decide to bring a meal with you, which is really nice. :) The dinosaur egg trash cans had us giggling. Can't imagine they are easy to replace the trash bags on but totally worth it!
google avatar

Anne S.

Yelp
WOW! We were so impressed. We came with our 5 year old dinosaur lover, and he was blown away. There are SO MANY dinosaurs here hidden amongst the foliage; It all looked super cool. We like seeing the dinosaur skeletons at the Field Musuem in Chicago, but Dinosaur World gave us such a different perspective. For one thing, since no one knows what color dinosaurs were, it was cool to see different colors. Also, from skeletons it's hard to get the real perspective of size variations from different species. Here we could see some cute little dinosaurs, and some enormous dinosaurs! It was also nice to walk through all the trees to see the dinosaurs, finally a shady/slightly cool outdoor activity! Fun to be out in nature. There are plenty of additional activities for kids too. A small playground, a "dig site" where they can play in the sand and uncover "bones" (this was a BIG hit!) a rock/gem sifting zone, a giant Dino puzzle. The gift shop is also great, but it had too much stuff he wanted to buy. Really convenient location right off I-65, you can't miss it. Gravel parking lot with lots of spaces even on busy days. Bathrooms were reasonably clean and in okay repair, with fun dinosaur airbrush art on the walls. They don't serve food but they do have picnic tables. We loved the dinosaur egg trash cans, which a younger couple without kids name "garbage-saurous" This is a really great activity for a couple of hours!

Yelp
Not even sure how to write a review for this place. It's okay, but not jaw dropping. I had pretty low expectations based on friends reviews and seeing the T-Rex from the road. As an adult I was pretty bored, looking at dinosaur sculptures just didn't do it for me. However, my Kids loved it. Though they didn't want to stop and read about any of them. There's a playground and things for them to see and touch. Go early and beat the crowd. Bring your own snacks and drinks.
google avatar

Allison K.

Yelp
The kids liked it, the adults were less than impressed. Let me level with you, I'm glad the kids had fun and got some exercise running around but it's just concrete statues of dinosaurs with a little plaque describing each dino. Educational yes, with the entry price...ehhhhh. But the kids had fun.
google avatar

Keith M.

Yelp
What a wonderful park to bring kids. Lots of dinosaur exhibits with a little history of all the dinosaur's. There's place to dig for fossils as well as gemstone panning. Must to place to visit if you have kids interested in dinosaurs.

Eduardo M.

Yelp
Mi daughter was playing in the play area and there where a lot of spiders. Place its bored and some parts are not cleaned.
google avatar

Melissa M.

Yelp
Really good place for kids and adults of all ages to learn about dinosaurs. If you want to learn you will be doing a lot of reading!!!
google avatar

Cassia M.

Yelp
This was such a fun and unique family activity! A great way to spend a few hours. Take a nice stroll through the forest to find all of the dinosaur statues. You can even do a fossil dig for an additional fee. Very reasonably priced and such a relaxing, educational and engaging experience. Perfect for young children who are excited by all the prehistoric creatures. Definitely recommend for an easygoing family outing.

E. L.

Yelp
Spent some time here in April--it was fun! Mostly designed for kids (I had none with me, and I still enjoyed it), there is a long walkway that has dinosaurs in the wooded areas on either side. There is also an awesome animatronic dinosaur in the museum. Really worth the visit! I just wish they had more of the animatronics.
google avatar

Jeremy J.

Yelp
My family and I stopped at dinosaur world over the summer while we were heading to Mammoth Cave national Park and I tell you my kids love dinosaurs and we got there yet but I mean I don't know what I was expecting but you know this is average place it's a young all museum home Canada just has fake dinosaur sitting around outside and little detail information I mean it was fun and take a few pictures and walk around and see it so I mean that's cool it's not a place that I'm gonna probably go back to again but the people were nice on the inside and you know we had fun playing with the dinosaurs
google avatar

Amanda D.

Yelp
I've been promising my niece all summer that we would go to Dinosaur World and see Little Foot and his friends (she loves Land Before Time). I had no idea what to expect but was pretty impressed. You walk into the gift shop and purchase your tickets. You are given a wrist band and from there can head into the park. The kids ticket includes a fossil dig, where they get to keep 3 items. We walked around the museum for a bit before heading to the playground. We walked through the Dino walk. Definitely wear bug spray if you have it. I got eaten up by mosquitos. The dinosaurs were pretty cool. You can tell that there is a lot of time that goes into making them. After walking through the dinosaurs, we did the fossil dig and a bit of shopping in the gift shop. You can bring in your own food for picnics as well. This is a pretty cool roadside attraction. I would recommend going early in the morning to avoid the lines and crowds.
google avatar

Victoria a.

Yelp
This was so Much fun for my 3 and 6 year old kids. The walk was nice and mostly shaded on a very hot day and the shaded spot for our picnic was perfect. The kids had so much fun and the gem mining was my daughters favorite. Gift shop toy gun and dinosaurs was junk and broke as soon as we got home, so be careful what you buy. Overall great experience and kids loved it.
google avatar

Nicole S.

Yelp
This was the perfect place to stop that was approximately halfway between Indianapolis and Nashville, Tennessee. So if you're ever making that long 5- to 6-hour drive with children, you should consider making a stop at Dinosaur World to stretch your legs and play among the dinos. We loved our visit to Dinosaur World because there are so many different things to do. There's the walking tour through a wooded path where you get to spot dinosaurs "in the wild." There's the dinosaur-themed playground for young kids. There's the archeology dig where you can find and keep small fossils. There's the indoor museum where you can learn about prehistoric times. You could easily spend a couple of hours here! Even my kids, who bounce from one activity to another, wanted to stay all day. If you are visiting during the summer, my suggestion would be to bring bug spray, especially if you are doing the walking tour through the wooded area. One of the neat things about this place is that they allow you to bring in your own food -- even a cooler. They do sell some food, but it's probably wise to just pack a picnic lunch when you're visiting.

Gina P.

Yelp
Was not impressed in Dinosaur World for the price you pay to get in! My grandson could tell me every dinosaurs name and what they ate! To say he's obsessed with dinosaurs!

Joey B.

Yelp
Awesome place! Me and my 19 year old son had been at mammoth cave, we had been in Nashville area to see Billy Idol and found mammoth cave was a short drive away, so after mammoth cave we found Dinosaur World! Who could pass that up. Fun and exciting kitschy place. Had to see it! Yes it's hokey, yes it's tacky. Yes it's everything you would imagine a place called Dinosaur World would be. Go and enjoy!
google avatar

Pooja S.

Yelp
Expensive. Just a few plastic dinos. they should have some sort of music or effects. For the money should have a bit more, maybe rides.

Angel C.

Yelp
My grandson loved this place. When he was smaller, we had a yearly pass there. The staff was always so helpful and friendly. The gift shop was always clean & had hundreds of items to choose from... My grandson always went out of there with a new dinosaur toy. Great memories, highly recommend this place to anyone....

Donna B.

Yelp
Dinosaur world is the best place for all ages. My grandkids and nephew and nieces love to go there. The staff are so friendly and great with the kids. Mike is such a nice guy. He's so sweet to the kids. Sonjia, Sue, Louise, Joseph, Madison and the rest of the staff are great people. I recommend dinosaur world to everyone. Thank you for being a great business

Linda K.

Yelp
this place is a marvel to see. The walk around makes you feel like you're really in the wild with the dinosaurs. The workmanship, the artistry, the real life experience of the dinosaurs.
google avatar

MaryCarol K.

Yelp
Admission is only $8 per adult right now and SO SO WORTH IT! Date night, picnic and a walk with some friends, taking some time for family fun - this is the spot to be! Right now a few parts of Dino World are currently unavailable- however the weaving walk through dino after dino is all you could ask for and more! Pack a picnic and enjoy your day!
google avatar

Madeleine L.

Yelp
If your kid is into dinosaurs and you need a break from driving, this is a good place. It has a fairly short walking trail that is doable even for smaller kids. They also have several other parts, such as a museum and a dino dig. Friendly staff too.
google avatar

Phil R.

Yelp
It really is just so-so and way over priced for what your getting. Admission should have been something like $8 instead of the nearly fifteen dollars. No drinks or food stands open, no rides, no moving animatronics...just a bunch of statues of dinosaurs
google avatar

Kailyn N.

Yelp
We've been to three from California to Midwest so far and this was the better one. Nicely painted dinosaurs in the trees, shaded walkways, a fossil dig, museum, gem mining station, playground, picnic tables and well-stocked gift shop. My 4-yr old thoroughly enjoyed sifting his little gems and getting to bring it home. Best of all, dog-friendly! Overall a short trail but filled with other activities to keep the little ones busy.
google avatar

Elizabeth P.

Yelp
I like cheesy tourist attractions. If you do too - this is the place for you. It's located in Cave City, KY (Mammoth Cave area). It is everything the billboard promises. There are large plastic dinosaurs "in the wild" The place is built for children. There's a place to sift gem stones out of a water stream. There is a gift shop with crazy t-shirts, dinosaur crackers, sticker books, and so much more. The people are friendly and will ask where your from and give you tips and a map. The place isn't large but fun and very affordable for a family on the road. It is also surrounded by inexpensive restaurants, gift shops, and mammoth cave. It's cheesy but it's the kind of place you'll remember and talk about for years to come. A really good road trip roadside attraction.
google avatar

Aj C.

Yelp
This was our 4th stop on our day trip to cave city. I thought this place was going to be cheesy. And it was but it was perfect for us. We had our 10 year old daughter with us and she had a blast. She's at the age where a lot of places she's to big for, and here it's 12 to do everything including the play ground. She had a lot of fun especially the digging for fossils and the dirt bags with rocks in them. I really enjoyed the trail with all the dinosaurs. Which surprised me. It was cool to see what they would look like if you saw them in the wild. (With some imagination of course.) It made for some great family photos. And the trail was very shady this time of year in the summer, it was nice. There are 2 options when buying tickets. Regular or with a dirt pack with rocks in them. It was worth to get the extra ticket for mining for my child. She really enjoyed that part the most, and she got a cool souvenir from it. Overall cheesy but very enjoyable, (if that makes sense at all). Great 4th stop for our family day trip. Click on my profile if you want to see the rest of the places we went. We made a day of places in this area.

Yelp
Lumbering beside the highway, a dinosaur stoically stands above the hustle and bustle of travelers. Greeting vehicles as they zip past a mighty Tyrannosaurus welcomes them to step into the prehistoric land just beyond the tree line. Dinosaur World was the dream of Christer Svensson, a Swedish businessman who moved to Florida in the early 90s. The first Dinosaur World was opened there, with all models made by park employees from fiberglass, concrete and steel. There are now 3 parks open including the second location in the appropriately named, Cave City, Kentucky and a third location in Glen Rose, Texas. Each park boasts over 150 fiberglass dinosaurs to search for on around 20 acres of land. Plaques located near the sculptures of each dinosaur species make it easy for guests to learn about the various prehistoric inhabitants of the park. There is just something about this place that makes you feel like a kid again! Dinosaur World sparks your imagination and makes you wonder what it really would have been like to see these amazing creatures thundering through a forest. Aside from the life sized dinosaurs, guests get the opportunity to dig for fossils, pan for minerals, enjoy their indoor museum full of dino artifacts, and play in their playground. Dinosaur World is definitely a hidden roadside gem. If you find yourself in the area, venture back about 65 million years and enjoy a day in the park.

Jennifer R.

Yelp
My 4 year old daughter loved this place. Great place to bring a picnic and let the kids play. Very clean and kept her busy for over 2 hours. Tons of shade too so you're never stuck in the sun for long.

Yelp
Ended up being a nice afternoon with our 7yo. Gave this a 3 rating because at least 3 of the interactive activities were shut down due to covid, but price was the same... and pretty expensive for the type of activities. We were traveling with a group of 7. This outing seemed too expensive and little boring for everyone, so when our twin 5yos started melting down and grandma & grandpa offered to take then back to hotel, we took the opportunity to have some time with our 7yo son. He's only semi interested in dinosaurs but had fun reading and seeing the replicas of different species. Playground and gem mining was so crowded. Basically could only walk the museum(small building walk) and the outdoor path with species replicas... and spend more money in gift shop, which of course is unavoidable as you enter & exit.
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
4 stars only because it would be better if you could get closer to the Dino's. But kids loved it. The staff was very friendly and get a pressed penny!
google avatar

Kia K.

Yelp
Dinosaur world was not as all what I was expecting. I didn't realize it was just a bunch of dinosaur statues. I was expecting noises/movement from the dinos. I guess I was expecting a walkthrough experience like I had experienced during a pop up drive trough experience that was offered in the Chicagoland area over the summer (which was awesome). My 3 year old loved running around and seeing the dinos, but also got a little bored. Unfortunately we didn't get the full dinosaur world experience as covid was going on so we didn't get to the fossil dig. Pretty sure she would have loved that. For $8 and something to do while visiting family it was still cool. It's about an hour or so from Louisville.

Holly P.

Yelp
We actually went in 2020 during the height of Covid and the place was a ghost town. It was neat for my then 2 year old.
google avatar

Marcia V.

Yelp
I LOVED THIS PLACE. When I came to visit my sister when she first moved to KY, we drove past Dinosaur World and I knew I NEEDED to go. Over 14 years later, I finally got to. It is pretty cheap to get in, and it won't be a lot of long time to get through all the dinosaurs. My only complaint is that you could not get closer the dinos. It is fun and goofy and I was more excited than some of the children there. Be aware what you getting yourself into. It is cheesy and what I would consider a roadside attraction and I love stuff like that.
google avatar

Tank G.

Yelp
This place is a diamond in the rough. We stumbled across it on a road trip after seeing the big Dinosaur off I-65. We had some time to play with and decided to take a detour. The attraction is all outdoors so I would dress accordingly. Now the dinosaurs are not life like and they do not have any animation. But my 2 year old was entertained and it was like 30 degrees. There are a few good photo spots like the photosaurus and my kid enjoyed playing on the playground at the end of the trail.
google avatar

Diona E.

Yelp
This was a great afternoon experience for my family and I. We spent a few hours walking the path and seeing the different dinosaur sculptures. They were well labeled and close enough to the trail to get good photos while learning about the different species. The walk through museum provided a lot of different information about dinosaurs and the time periods they existed. The children's fossil dig is a fun experience for younger children giving them a momento to keep. Not as entertaining for older kids. The attraction wasn't very busy when we visited which gave us a lot of time to explore without feeling rushed or in the way of other visitors. Overall a fun and educational visit and something very different for the area from caves.

Yelp
Wow was this a surprise! We had lunch at the Whistle Stop Shop in Glendale and were heading out when we spotted the big Dinosaur on the freeway. We just missed the exit for Cave City so I decided to turn back and it was more than worth the trouble. I lived most of my life in Philly and something like Dinosaur world would be ridiculously expensive and also annoyingly crowded. On our drive in, I realize that this was a very chill place, it was an oasis in the middle of a nowhere. Price was around 12 dollars for adults and you can go in and out as you like all day. This covers the whole park, picnic area, and their museums and shops. The shop was very cool, filled with an amazing collections of souvenirs. Upon entering the park you will be greeted with a huge Dinosaur leg bone. There are over a 150 real life sized dinosaurs. Also they were made to scale, their designs are more kid-friendly, much more cartoony than authentic. I think this is great for families with young ones but I personally prefer realistic sculptures. The park rounds up with their "photosaurus", the huge Dinosaur you see from the freeway. This is easily the coolest Dino in the park. The place also offer a free museum of replicas and some real artifacts of the dinosaurs. This is a very cool walk through for those interested and could easily have been an extra money maker for the place but they included in the tickets. Overall, this is a very chill spot to hang out in general. Imagine a beautiful day and you grab a few sandwiches to eat in park next to real dinosaur bones that existed millions of years ago. I just wish there were more activities to do. In the end, it's just a walk through a really cool theme park. Even so, if you're driving through Kentucky and sees a dinosaur, come back for it, it's really worth your time!

Yelp
This was really cool they had huge dinosaurs that I believe were made of wax and then they had these plates in front of them that told some great information about these Dinosaurs, their gift shop had some of the greatest things all the kids and I loved it the only thing that wasn't that awesome was the fact that you had to wear a mask and the mining and fossil digging areas are closed and that was extremely disappointing.

Yelp
I expected this place to be a 'so bad, it's good' kind of stop, but it actually was pretty fun. It was a super hit with our 4-year-old, for sure. We enjoyed doing the dino loop, playing in the playground, and digging for fossils. My walk through the museum was pretty rushed but seemed to have some neat stuff. My favorite thing about Dinosaur World is the psychedelic neon tie-dye shirt I got that proudly proclaims I visited Dinosaur World in Cave City, Kentucky. My daughter loves it when I wear it so she can point to it and tell other people that "I'm her mom" (obviously winning all the 4 y.o. cool points here), and that we went to dinosaur world where all the dino's are her friends. They offer military discounts.

Yelp
My family enjoyed the facility. It was a nice clean area and full of paid activities. The playground was my youngest favorite part of the whole day. It was worth the admission to just be able to enjoy the joy of seeing life size dinosaurs.

Yelp
For the cost there isn't much to do. The dinosaurs could've used some love. Can't spend a whole lot of time here. But the park was overall good. Just feel like some of the money could've went back into it.

Yelp
We had so much fun! And there is so much to do and we didn't get to do it all. We took a hike through a guided path and saw all kids of dinosaurs. We became paleontologist' for a short time while we searched for dinosaur bones. And there is a wonderful playground that the kids can enjoy.
