Today we spent a good hour checking out the fossil museum and we were not disappointed!!! We were greeted by a friendly member of staff who explained to my son all about different ammonites. So much to see and learn. Being dog friendly was a big bonus. Great for the young ones to learn about dinosaurs and fossil hunting. Well worth checking out.

visited today for the 4th or 5th time and now as an adult, it was even more interesting and amazing to me now even though i’ve visited before. anyone who leaves a bad review is a miserable piece of work who couldn’t be impressed by anything as there is SO MUCH to see and for such a good price as well. if you get around this museum in under an hour then you’re clearly not reading or looking at everything properly as there is an unbelievable amount of things to see. genuinely so impressive

This museum is an absolute gem for anyone interested in fossils. It’s packed with countless fossils, beautifully displayed with informative modules and pictures. I loved how full each display was. There’s also a section with stuffed animals, moths, and skeletons that adds even more variety to the experience. Great for kids and adults alike. Definitely worth a visit if you're into the historical animals.

Lovely museum absolutely packed with specimens and fascinating accompanying information plates. The passion and humour of the owner really shows and I loved that he displays the results of his scientific research done on the specimens. Great value for the family ticket.

A Fossil Lover’s Paradise! Dinosaurland is a delightfully quirky gem that punches well above its weight. Nestled in a charming corner of Lyme Regis, it’s packed to the rafters with fossils—local treasures from the Jurassic Coast and fascinating specimens from around the globe. Whether you're a seasoned palaeontology buff or just curious, there’s something here to spark your imagination. The displays are thoughtfully curated, with in-depth information that brings each artifact to life. You’re not just looking at rocks—you’re glimpsing ancient worlds. The museum’s independent spirit shines through in every nook, making it feel personal and passionate rather than polished and corporate. A must-visit if you’re in the area. Quirky, educational, and utterly captivating.

I visited on Sunday and Dinosaurland almost immediately became my favourite museum. Steve (the owner and curator) gave us entry and he was so welcoming. Bursting with geological treasures and real fossils, it was a treat to visit exhibits not aimed primarily at children. Don't get me wrong, there were plenty of kids enjoying themselves, but as a group of scientifically minded adults who enjoy natural history there was so much for us to learn and enjoy. Especially the map room, I loved the map room! 🧭🗺️🌏

Fun little museum in Lyme Regis full of fossils and gemstones etc. it's in an old church and it's a one way route round which is good as it's quite snug in there if you have others trying to walk the other way. It's got lots of facts and it well organised if you like dinosaurs and fossils. Could do with being a bit bigger for the money especially when paying for several adults to go in, however it is a fun hour to spend and especially if the weather is inclement. I struggled to read some of the information due to the lighting but these were minor things. There is a toilet at the end in there. All in all worth a visit.

Yelp
A fusty old place that's well past it's sell by date. At £5 for adults and £4 for kids it's not cheap for a family. It has some great fossils (which is probably why you're here in the first place) but the quality of the exhibits apart from the actual fossils is very poor with no evidence of recent updating. Quite appropriately I guess, this place is a bit fossilized.
