The biggest advantage of Dionysos Central Hotel is definitely its location – it’s right in the heart of the city, and everything is within walking distance: the beach, restaurants, supermarkets, and main attractions. That part was really convenient.
The breakfast was tasty and fresh, but unfortunately exactly the same every single day. After a few days, it became quite repetitive. A bit more variety would definitely improve the experience, especially for guests staying longer. The staff at breakfast, however, were very friendly and welcoming – that was a nice touch.
The room was okay overall, but there were visible signs of wear and tear in several areas. Some furniture and surfaces looked a bit run-down. One particularly annoying issue was the broken towel rack in the bathroom – it kept falling off and made a loud noise every time. That really should have been fixed before our stay.
Noise-wise: once the wooden door and balcony door were closed, it was quiet from outside. However, other guests inside the hotel were extremely loud, especially late at night, which made it hard to sleep. Unfortunately, no one from the hotel staff seemed to step in or manage that.
A bit disappointing was the reception staff – while the breakfast team was warm and polite, the receptionists barely acknowledged us throughout the stay. We didn’t feel very welcomed or looked after at the front desk.
Overall, the hotel is okay for a short stay thanks to the central location. But if you value comfort, attentive service, and a quiet environment, you may want to look elsewhere.
