We literally came here every night, after Aspen Food & Wine Classic 30th day time events. I'm lucky to rub elbows with the right chefs/friends that I know for decade, they invited me here for the Grand Cochon event. I met so many chefs, so many sommeliers, so many people in the Food & Wine business, and meeting them all here, was part of it.
Some of us stayed at this hotel, and some of us stayed at the Ritz-Carlton Club. The Little Nell Hotel is in the heart of Aspen, walking to everything. Great restaurant, awesome wine list, wonderful service. Although the noise at night can be tricky.
Little Nell Hotel reminded me of the marriage of Montage Beverly Hills and the Mondrian Hotel WeHo. Classy, classic, and fantastic wine list. Bottles and bottles were open, when I see the top sommeliers and wine importers here, I feel so blessed as it was meant to be. I meant to be here, this is where I belong.
The whole Aspen Food & Wine Classic was amazing, but being here with this many wines, by the industry only, made it all special.
The service was great, even though the whole first floor of the Little Nell Hotel was jam packed. Somehow everyone seemed to have a fantastic time. I mean what not to like, any bottle we ordered was great, service was smooth, the ambiance is fab, and good vibe all around.
This is 1 of the reasons why I'm determined to become a sommelier, definitively after this trip, at this very hotel. Thanks to all my friends that made me goal seem closer than it ever was!
P.S. I will come back here anytime.
