Very cute & classy French cafe on one of the main st in Byron! The owner was very friendly & accommodating & also happy to take tips on how to make a good Matcha 🍵 It’s so hard to find a good Matcha, I was very happy with this one & my husband was also happy with his coffee.. Our breakfast didn’t take very long to come out at all, the eggs were cooked to perfection, the salmon was fresh, the hollandaise sauce was plentiful, rich & creamy & they were a good serving size.. We will definitely be back next time we are up this way. Thank you for the exceptional service!

This French deco inspired cafe is just fabulous firstly loved the deco secondly the service was very friendly and attentive and lastly the food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the brushetta with crispy bacon on the side we also ordered from the specials board. Give this cafe a go when visiting Byron Bay !

This cafe has got it right! My wife and I stopped in this morning for a brunch. Such great and friendly service. Coffee was outstanding. My wife had the Bircher Muesli and I had the poached eggs on sourdough toast. The quality of the food could not be faulted. We sat inside and the sun coming in made it a perfect setting. Thank you.

Absolutely loved it! Incredible coffee, fantastic service and such a cute vibe. Went two days in a row for a coffee and croissant and both times is was fantastic. Highly recommend!

Google
Super friendly spot in Byron! Jean-François was an absolute gem — he spoke to us in French and was so kind and interesting to chat with. The whole team was lovely and the service was great. The decor is really nice, and the small terrace with umbrellas makes for a very pleasant place to sit. Prices are quite reasonable for Byron Bay. We didn’t eat, but the food looked delicious. We did try the coffees and smoothies — both were excellent. Definitely a place worth stopping by!

Google
This is a nice breakfast place with great coffee. I am probably slightly bias in my enjoyment as I love eggs Benny, as such I liked seeing the 5 or so different options of this dish on the menu! They had a few different menu items to cater for the majority also, which by the looks of what others had seemed similar quality! The coffee was great, quite strong, and well flavoured. There was indoor and outdoor seating and plenty of it. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. I would certainly appreciate a visit!

Took the recommendation of the staff and ordered the specials and they didn’t disappoint. Fresh and so full of flavour. Great music playing and friendly atmosphere. Would definitely return.

Yelp
Dip is well known around town as one of the best breakfast and brunch spots in Byron. Last time I was visiting it was closed on a Sunday. This time I was visiting on Saturday and gladly it was open! The menu is exciting, but unfortunately, not all dishes can be made gluten free. I just wanted something simple, so I went with a slice of gluten free toast and a flat white. The thick toast was amazing and so was the homemade jam that came with it. My husband and son enjoyed their meals too (although they didn't have a kid's menu). I'd definitely come here again, but I do think the prices are very steep.

Yelp
Food: one of the best capressa I've had for breakfast. Italians would be proud. Cappuccino as well was great. 5 Service: Quick and friendly table service. 5 Atmosphere: Sit inside or out; either is excellent. Wonderful experience with a fun, light vibe. 5 Cleanliness: Wiped the table for us, and good to go. It wasn't dirty, and the cutlery was clean. 4 Final rating: 4.75 = 5

Yelp
One of the great things about wandering around small towns is that I get to visit a variety of places as opposed to when I am wandering around cities trying to cram as much in as possible before the sunsets. Well, Byron Bay is certainly one of those towns with a variety of places, especially coffee shops. Well, this wasn't one of the best that I've visited, but it was still rather nice, and relaxing, and certainly popular as well. The service was pretty good, and it was rather relaxing.

Yelp
Food was good as was service however one male waiter defiantly doesn't know how to smile and be nice. The food was good as was the coffee and cooled pressed juice.

Yelp
Dip is another popular and highly recommended cafe. It was busy but we got our table quickly. We were told the wait for food was at least 30 minutes but we got our big breakfast in about 10 minutes. Great one! However we thought the food was just below average and the atmosphere too tense for a relaxing meal. The crispy potato was the only stand out amongst all. Their coffee was a big let down but I understand everyone has their own favourite roast. I do however prefer the Barefoot Roast just across Fletcher Street in Lateen Lane behind St. Elmo Dining Room.

Yelp
Got giant, Instagram-friendly breakfast? Yes, yes they do. I searched Yelp for "brunch" and Dip won the day by a country mile, which as everyone knows is longer and more fulfilling than a regular mile. It's smallish, but they make up for it with meals that would choke a Cyclops. Big, colourful, fluffy ricotta pancakes stacked with berries, smashed avo with crispy bacon and a half-plate schmear of garlic aoli, Hollandaise for days. If the sun is blessing you with it's Byron Bay presence jag one of the outside tables, slide on your sunnies for some surreptitious people watching, and kick back with strong coffee and fresh pressed juices because health is more important in this town, ask anyone.

Yelp
Great breakfast - good vibe, communal table, smaller individual or larger outside... Extensive menu of both breakfast and lunch available at any time of the day. So much attention to detail, all plates looked amazing and tasted as great - pancakes, eggs benedict, caprese sourdough, corn fritters ...everyone was more than happy with their plate ! I wish I could stay longer to go again... You can't be disappointed!

Yelp
This place is quaint and the breakfast is tasty! Service is good, albeit a little slow, but worth the wait. Highly recommend the pancakes and the eggs Benedict.

Yelp
Grabbed a quick breakfast here before heading out on a hike with a friend. Excellent staff here who were super friendly and warm. We immediately got a table and they toon our order almost immediately. The cafe is open, allowing natural light to come through, and it's not noisy at all. Very comfortable atmosphere overall. As for what I ordered, I got the Breakfast BLT and Chai Latte. I loved every bit of it. Fresh bread, fresh green and tomatoes were delicious. I would definitely come back here if I'm in the area. Prices are reasonable and there's also free wifi. Score!

Yelp
On a gloomy Byron day we made our way to Dip cafe in the hope of a hearty meal. Having seen the number two rating on Yelp we had high expectations. For drinks we ordered an almond milk latte and a mixed berry smoothie, both were well made and flavoursome, in particular the almond latte; which as I'm sure most yelpers are aware can be a hit and miss item at the best of times. The mains consisted of two medium rare steak sandwiches. Both were cooked to an acceptable level, and the caramelised onion was particularly tasty, an honourable mention for the garlic aioli and the shoestring fries were cooked well. I had to remove a star for the time taken to deliver the meals to the table, but overall an enjoyable and satisfying dining experience. Tip of the hat to you, Dip Cafe.

Yelp
I give this place 5 stars because I can't think of anything I'd change about this place. the food was on point. the fresh squeezed juice selection was diverse and delicious. the server was both funny and attentive. I like how they give 2 big bottles of water when we sat down so they don't have to keep nagging us or the other way around. you can tell they put so much thought into every single one of their dishes which I love. really great place. can't think of something to improve this place.

Yelp
Arrived 9:30 on a Wednesday. There were plenty of tables available under the outdoor umbrellas. Staff was attentive and friendly. Skim flat white was good, pancakes were excellent. Croque Madame's ham was tasty.

Yelp
Favourite cafe in Byron!! The food and juices here are amazing, and the menu caters to everyone, whereas some cafes in Byron are a variety of different poached egg combinations - sometimes when you go for brunch you just want a fat stack of pancakes. Only thing I would change is the lack of real maple syrup.

Rachel F.

Yelp
Amazing! Haven't even finished my plate yet and I felt the need to write this review!!!! SOOOOO YUMMY! Ordered some sort of pumpkin special and it knocked my socks off

Yelp
We hovered for a table, seeking a shady spot. Initial confusion in our mind as many of the patrons seemed to be part time staff as well. However a guy with a sticky label "Dip" on his chest announced the fact that he was indeed our waiter, and things went well from there. Later, at the counter getting the bill, another patron reached over the counter and entered the correct details into the till: he was of course an off-duty member of staff. With the ability to read and type upside down: impressive! As for the food: more than acceptable. She had the pulled pork sandwich (excellent), he had the steak sanger (tasty, but with too much gristle) and mother/ mother-in-law had the gnocchi (delicious). Enjoy your visit to this small bolt-hole.

Yelp
Breakfast with the family today. The menu is great and they are flexible with all the dietary requirements and requests. We even took the small fur child and he sat happily with us or the front.

Jess K.

Yelp
Really good! The wait wasn't even too bad and the staff were super nice and communicative. Vegan breakfast and vegan mushroom stack was awesome!!

Stephanie W.

Yelp
At peak breakfast hour it's hard to get a table, leave your name with the friendly staff because it's worth the wait. I recommend the salmon on rye.

Dustin S.

Yelp
Best breakfast in Byron. Recommend the big breakfast, or madam Croque with a side of smash hash (halved fried mini red potatoes). It's also good to note that they serve breakfast or lunch at the same times.

Elina L.

Yelp
This is the best café I've tried when I was at Byron bay I would like to say. The staff was so friendly and the ambiance is very lay back, food was absolutely amazing. I had avoccodo BLT, it's perfect! I will definitely go there again if I travel to Byron bay.

Jordan M.

Yelp
By far our favourite dinning experience in Byron Bay. Big big delicious meals and fresh juices. We shared the French omelette and the mushroom stack with poached eggs. The waiters were really lovely and considering how packed the place was the food came out pretty quickly.

Simon W.

Yelp
Great coffee - from a Melbournian that's saying something! Great service with staff always checking up on patrons, definitely felt looked after. Bircher muesli yum not too sweet & very filling. Corn fritters huge hit with the vego's, aoli was a highlight.

Mike M.

Yelp
Great brunch spot in the heart of beautiful Byron! We called ahead and the staff said a 1 hour wait, but from the Yelp reviews it looked legit and being from Sydney 1 hour for Brunch was a walk in the park! So we headed into town and when we got to Dip we were seated right away, woohoo good times. The coffee came out fast but then we had to wait for about 30+ for food, the kitchen seemed a bit slammed but the free papers, good coffee and great weather kept us occupied. Once the food came it was well worth the wait, as per usual I got the Big Brekkie and it was delicious! Biggest tip is just show up don't worry about calling ahead it seems their tables turn over quickly.

Cassandra G.

Yelp
An exceptional brekky. A bit of a queue on a Sunday and about a 40 minute wait for food, but all worth it. The Boston bean stack was amazing. I also had the carrot, ginger, beetroot and apple juice which was great. Only drawback was a 10% surcharge on Sunday...not aware of any other cafe that does that!??

Lana D.

Yelp
One of Byron Bays culinary gems. On the hunt for a seriously delicious breakfast, then look no further! Friendly staff, quick service and value for money. I had the mushroom stack which was absolutely amazing, accompanied by juice number 3. Highly recommend.

Stephanie D.

Yelp
Fantastic BLT spilling over with salad and totally not greasy: Just what the doctor ordered before commencing a long, hard day sitting on one of Byron's white sand beaches. The sandwich was big enough for my dude and I to split it, and went swimmingly (har har) with a fresh banana smoothie. Hip hop jams on the stereo and prompt service made this cafe a win for us.

Terry R.

Yelp
Best Boston Beans I've ever had. Service was fast, atmosphere was great early morning
