The employee is very rude and bad and steals Arab money and she hates Arabs very much. I advise all Arabs not to take this hotel because she closes the doors of the rooms and makes a big problem out of nothing. She always takes 10 thousand pesos from the Arab students. She is a very fraudulent person and the hotel manager knows about this and did not He says something because he is a thief in her soul, but they enter the rooms while you are sleeping without your permission. They are among the worst places I have visited.

Been here few times now and love coming back. Very spacious room, quiet and employees very nice specially the ladies in the front desk. Securities in and out posting and the crews very attentive to customers. Cleaning the room everyday and everyone's friendly. Will be happy to come back because most of all, good value for money.

By the looks of it, the hotel used to be the go-to place of travelers decades back. The outside and the reception has this classic vibe which is good but the elevators, floor lobbies, and rooms are totally OUTDATED. It's clean, yes, but towels are worn out and floors are old-stained. Pay is reasonable for the time of the month but could have also stayed elsewhere with a much improved interior for the same price. ||They have really polite staffs but some would require A LOT of identification if the room is not in your name. Tip: If you're staying as a family, have everyone's name listed so everyone can easily ask for the keycard. Also, they ask for a 1000php refundable deposit upon checking in. WiFi is relatively good and fast.

My wife and I stayed here for five nights. We have stayed here before so we know it well. Our five night stay cost us around $185AUD which is really good price. The hotel itself has been around for a while and could do with a spruce up, but we had AC and cable tv and free wifi although you had to get a new password every day. We also had hot water. Downtown Cebu is within walking distance with plenty of street markets nearby. If your not after top of the line 5 star accommodation, then you should try this hotel.

I've been to Cebu Philippines four times to date and have always stayed at The Diplomat Hotel. I was looking for an economical place in Cebu and found it on Expedia. I was really impressed with the large rooms, free WIFI, and great location on Ramos St. for the price they charged me. Since that first visit I've made it a point to stay there. The rooms are always clean, the staff is very helpful and can help you make tourist plans, there is a nice spa and travel agency connected to the hotel and plenty of local and international restaurants within walking distance. I'm an Internet Photographer who travels Asia quite often and I can definitely recommend that you stay here. You can even see video of the place on some of my videos on my You Tube Channel (Nsane Travels).

Poor customer service. Requested for a make-up room and tissues, were never delivered until i went to the Reception to follow-up after almost 3 hours. Location is good though. Accessible to malls, restaurants and convenient stores.

This hotel has been around for years but the staff do a good job keeping it clean. Employees are professional, reasonable and most importantly not intrusive and give you privacy. Pretty good value and close to everything.

Visited this hotel with my family, just a couple of days stopover. The rooms are acceptable, but the front desk will try to charge you for things you haven't had when you check out. We had to pay extra for a WiFi code, this is usually complimentary in most hotels, but we thought we would have one and had the 300 peso added to our room, when could not get it to work we explained this to the front desk, but they were not interested. In the morning when checking out they tried to charge me the 300 peso, I explained the service didn't work so I was not paying. They insisted, so I spoke to the manager. He also insisted, I agreed to pay 100 peso and said by being persistent and not being understanding I will never use the diplomat hotel ever again and would write a review suggesting others to the same. Try Richmond Hotel, much better service, complimentary wi-fi, better facilities, loads of competition in Cebu city, go elsewhere.
