Popular night club, mostly young crowd, fantastic dee jays, two halls to cater to different music preferences.

Bartenders will scam you Went there last night, bought a round of 3 vodka redbull and 2 makers mark and dry, fairly regular drinks. All five drinks for $125usd. When asked about the prices to another bartender, said it was $16 + tax, previous bartender had surely added to receipt as tax couldn't be $9. When asked to see receipt bartender had said that she couldn't see it. The atmosphere was okay but avoid if possible

Very cozy and hidden bar in the middle of Hollywood. Can't say that I love this place but it definitely has alot of charm... I struck up a conversation with the dj at another bar and he invited me and my wife. First time I was put on a list for a bar... When we arrived we could hardly tell that the bar was located there because it's underground. And thats what gives this place charm. You wouldn't expect this place which has great music and drinks. The atmosphere is very hipster/70's but not overly so... Very laid-back with a variety of music. There's two areas, a bar area and almost a club with a dance floor. All in all a very nicely done bar with a laid-back vibe. If you're blind don't come because there's hardly any light. The pictures are alot brighter than reality. The bars lit with old school light bulbs and they're beautiful.

the worst! we got 4 shots and a soda. ended up paying about $60 and the bartender had the audacity to come over to our table and ask why we didn’t tip her. telling us a story how if she gets no tip, she won’t be able to pay her bills like go get a full time job then if you’re not making enough money as a bartender! will not be going back! her service was the worst as well, that’s why she got no tip!

The doorman was racist, he wasn’t charging anyone, but me. I talked to the bartender and she told me that they don’t charge for entrance at the bar, she talked to a supervisor and told them that they shouldn’t be doing that, the guy came and wanted to take me out of the club after 10 minutes of being there 👎

This place is really fun! I love to come with friends and dance. Great music & always a good vibe. I don’t come here too often but it does get pretty overcrowded. It gets hard to move around after a while. I heard there have been issues with pick pocketing, but honestly that’s everywhere now. There are very long wait times at the bar due to the overcrowding, but the bartenders are typically pretty friendly. One bartender was a little too friendly to my partner after he repeatedly & politely declined her flirting. He politely told her that he had a girlfriend to which she responded “I know, but you’re hot,” and proceeded to put her finger in his mouth when he yawned & followed us to the next bar we went to. I know that it doesn’t have much to do with the bar itself, but figured it would be good to post in case anyone else has had issues with her.

This is the greatest place ever. My friends and I have been dancing the night away in the boiler room in the back.... the DJs are literally going to be the next John Summit/Dom Dolla, they play the best house/techno music ever. Will be coming back every Saturday until I die. 5 stars, 10/10, hottest DJs ever. Spread my ashes in the boiler room. Tell the Chainsmokers to look out.

This place was super cool! When you walk in they have a coffee bar but if you want cocktails you have to pick up the phone and listen for someone to give you a combination and the once you enter that into the phone a hidden door opens that is disguised as a laundry machine opens and you walk through into a cocktail longe they have a dance floor and a DJ stage. There is seating indoor, at the bar, and outside. It's so adorable everywhere you go! The drinks were good. I had a margarita and it was good, not the best but it's hard to mess up a margarita. This is a very cool experience as well but I can see where it can get very crowded as the night goes on but if you're in St. Pete I would absolutely recommend this place.

This place would be a lot better if there was a limit to the amount of people allowed in. The main floor is shoulder to shoulder and pretty hard to get through and/or dance. The second dance floor is smaller and less crowded. And the best part of this place was the game room where you can win shots. All the drinks are pretty expensive and you're gonna wait a while to get one.

We were there on Friday night. It was fun to go in and dance a bit and see the burlesque show. It's a maybe as far as whether we would go back or not. I think there's lots of other bars to check out. It felt a bit like New Orleans and the south as far as how it was decorated and it was also like going into the haunted mansion. DJ was playing Latin disco part of the time so I definitely felt like I was in the south it felt like I was at someone's house party, which I liked

I don't really do reviews for bars but this is a very unique and singular place. The vibes and funky and there are some characters. Also some banging music especially in the smaller side room. I always personally have a ball. But I have never gone here without one of my friends getting some item stolen. Beware

BEWARE OF PICKPOCKETS The pickpockets ruin the vibe. Look out for a short young hispanic male under 5ft, likely in his 20s. He is the easiest to spot because he's so short. His accomplice is a female dancing with him and pretending to be a couple and another male. The hispanic female looking slightly older in her 30s around 5'2". The other male stands close to them and looks to be in his 20s around 5'6". Full Story: I first noticed the short guy constantly getting close to my friend and I. Nothing abnormal about that in a bar/ dance setting because guys want to dance with girls, but it started getting shady and creepy because he was actually dancing with a female already and they kept squeezing into my group. They kept bumping and pushing us which forces us to move, but when we move, they followed us. My friend said the female was creepily trying to smell my hair too. Weird. I moved to the other side of my group. The female lead the male and moved from the roomy spot and followed me again. Prompting me to move again and when I turned around I noticed my purse was opened with my phone at a different position and their other male accomplice was right behind me. They were pickpockets. Luckily, I didn't lose anything. We moved to the other side of the club and 5 mins later they left. Right after, my other friend came and told us someone else in the group lost their wallet. My suspicion was confirmed and they were pickpockets. Nothing we can do because they already left and security cant do anything. Connected to Madame Siam next door. The venue itself is very fun with 3 DJ set ups. The bartender made me a pomelo tequila drink. It was pretty good.

Extremely bad treatment to the customers. You can't even reach anyone to talk to about it. They do whatever they want there

I went here for the first time for new years! It was the most fun I've had. I give this place a 4 stars bc I didn't get drinks so idk how the bar service is. But they played good ass music, it was such a good time!

I went back and got my Id they they still had the card on them so I'm very happy :) Still wish they have Apple Pay as an option. That would be very helpful and convenient. Long story short, Brittany the bartender is cool The place is usually a hit or miss on Saturday sometimes the guys come and over crowd the dance floor and other times it's perfect balance it's definitely worth coming and checking out to see the vibe of Saturdays

Pretty cool vibe and atmosphere but severely overpriced drinks. $6 for plain soda water??? Also the "smoking deck" is literally a covered pit in the ground...

We went to this bar because no vacancy had a long line. But once I got there I was pitpocketed. I noticed right after I bought my first drink. I was notified by my bank they used my cards later that night. The next morning I read some of the reviews i saw this isn't the first time. They need to up their security or do something about this. Other than that the bar tenders were okay they were fast but some of them were rude when we asked for drinks. The music was great and had fun with my friends for the rest of the night.

Loved dirty laundry! The line was long but we got in pretty quick. It was like an underground situation? Crowded place, music was great and it was super interesting inside, lots of different rooms and bars all around, but it wasn't one of those huge places where you get lost every 10 seconds. Will come again. UPDATE I sadly have to change my review from 5 stars to 3. I've been here three times now and all three times I've been treated with horrible service from the bartenders. Last time I went I was raising my hand trying to get the bartenders attention for some time and she very rudely said "I see you there but by the way I'm not going to help you because you're sticking your hand in my face". Now I know reviews for clubs and bars can be unreliable because people get drunk and remember things differently from how it may have really been. But I know for a fact I was not anywhere near her personal space. Beyond rude and inhospitable. Then after I went around and had the other bar tender help me, she saw that I had gotten my drink from him and she shot my a very dirty look.

Place itself was fun but if you care about your personal belongings do not go!! Multiple occasions of people getting their phone stolen!

The weird mustachioed DJ left the booth to come tell me I speak too loud and that my voice carries. Please just play music and don't scold random people that are talking loudly in a bar. Good luck with your projects, mustache.

This place is so dope! Got that old skool underground LA flavor! If you haven't been you have to try it!

bar does not offer free tap water which should be illegal at any bar, especially if they aren't watching if they are over serving. bullshit - a business should take care of its customers and offer things like WATER that is so easily sprayed from a tap rather than making the customers they overserved suffer. no compassion. wtf.

I was having a great night last night until I got my phone stolen. There was a couple that was sketching out my boyfriend and I, and I am sure they are the same couple mentioned two reviews down. We were on the dance floor and my purse slipped off my arm onto the floor, I went to grab it and the guy from this "couple" literally dove to get it first and hand it back to me. I thought nothing of it, plus it's dark inside with strobe lights so it wasn't like I could see much. When it was time to go to the next bar, and I realized my phone was gone. It was zipped up in my purse. It's last known location was a random parking lot blocks away. Had I known or read the yelp reviews about phone theives at this place, I would not have come. I have never had anything like this happen to me and I had to pay for a whole new phone so that sucks. I do not recommend this place if you care about your personal belongings.

They let a bunch of phone-stealing lowlifes into this venue. Myself and several others had their phones picked from their purses and pockets last night. Security says it happens routinely but that they can't do anything about it because they aren't allowed to search people on the way out. You know it's a bad crowd when there is so much theft. Forget about this place.

So much potential. DJ wasn't great on the main dance floor, huge space downstairs really cool underground vibe but just felt that there was something they could add here to make it better.

Our large group of friends came here recently on a bar-hopping excursion through Hollywood. We hit up Te'kila first to get some drinks in, then came over to Dirty Laundry. I had heard good things about Dirty Laundry, so I was excited! There were a few people in front of us in line, but we were past security in no time. We walked down the stairs to a super dark speakeasy. The music was good, and my friends said the drinks were deliciously strong. Only gripe is that this place was so packed! It was hard to walk through the crowds. I would definitely come back the next time I'm in this area!

Feels like you're in a Coffin. Saturday nights not Recommended. Be prepared for No Air.

Went to this bar cause no vacancy was to biased to let people in... and it didn't disappoint! Was kinda loud and drinks took a little to long to get, reason for the 4 star rating, but it was intimate, drink were good! Would definitely recommend going.

I firmly say this is the least favorite of the Houston Hospitality bunch. Mainly because it IS basically a basement laundry room and I have no air to breathe? If you're claustrophobic don't even consider this hot spot. There is always a line out front, and I see many people complain about getting in but I've literally never had an issue, both with and without table reservations. The drinks are great, they can make a mean traditional whiskey sour. The bar tenders are busy bee's so don't expect to be frolicking around for long. The lines to get a drink get catty. The music differs depending on the dj but it's usually pretty good. The main issue with this bar is the lack of room to move, or sit if you don't have a table. OH yeah, and breathe. It gets way too stuffy, but the decor is nice. Prohibition era, speak easy typesque. Take it easy, come check it out for yourself. If you don't like it, there are plenty more spots by these guys in the area.

This place is horrible! I have messaged them and they haven't responded, I have called them and their number is disconnected. My daughter, her boyfriend and their friends went here Saturday night. A guy shoved my daughter's boyfriend and he pushed back. He then got escorted out of the building by the "security" people, along with my daughter who is 5'5 and 106 lbs. The other guy got to stay. Once outside, my daughter's boyfriend tried to explain to them what happened and they wouldn't listen and they proceeded to threaten him. My daughter got very upset and scared and was crying. One of the guys then accused my daughter's boyfriend of hurting her, since she was crying so much and my daughter tried to convince them that that was not the case and she became more and more distraught that they were going to hurt her boyfriend, who in the meantime was trying to protect her! Then they separated them and another guy took advantage of her being so afraid and vulnerable and nearly hysterical, and he manipulated and blackmailed her. He told her that her boyfriend had caused damage to the club and that they had it on film and she had to pay for it or he was going to call the police. He wasn't "able" to show her the film, but finally agreed and it showed nothing, but she was so afraid and he kept demanding money saying that if she paid him, he would make everything ok and they could leave, so she zelled him $100, which he did by taking over her phone and sending himself the money! This whole scenario is disgusting, it's illegal and it's unacceptable. I'm considering getting my lawyer involved and charging them with harassment, intimidation and blackmail!

Loveeeeee this bar! Came out on Saturday for Nite Rhythm (my husband dj'd) and the vibes were thick! Reminiscent of underground party or college house party basement!!! Loved it! Shout to Mojo for taking great care of us too - total sweetheart! Knocking off 1 star bc drinks were super weak but that's "Hollywood" I guess

If the owners is reading this, I want to give my side of the story. I know I'm now banned from the place since one of the employees video record me without me realizing he works there. I was there for a birthday party. She have have all good looking friends since she works as a model and does prono. It's seems one of her friends didn't believe me that I know her. He does not want me in the group. I know I'm overweight and not the best looking. So her friend complained about me. I gave the bouncer my side of the story. He says that both of us have to get along but toward the end he gave me a choice of going someplace else in the bar or leave. So I left. Later, one of the employee video record me and now I'm banned. Wow! All because you believe his story. Whatever... Your place is too small and too crowded anyway. I will not recommend this place.

Truly what everyone says: the place to go when there's no vacancy at No Vacancy. :/ It's a small dive bar, with no signage that you enter after going down a set of stairs. Small, very dive bar-y. I enjoyed the music and the overall vibe. Drinks are okay, but unlike another reviewer, I didn't really taste much alcohol in my drink at all. It's a chill place to hang out and get a couple of drinks.

Randomly went to this bar instead of going to a next door club which had insane lane. Result was we did not regret our decision at all. This is literally an underground bar with efficient, talented and friendly bar tenders. The crowd is very eclectic but not pretentious at all, everyone here was there to have a good time and not being here as posers as you can unfortunately experience in many Hollywood bars. The music was solid, but unfortunately there were way too many people to be able to dance. we will come back for sure!

Cool hip vibes, but the place is in the basement of an old apartment building and has no air circulation and can get really hot in there. Cool crowd tho. Not much place for dancing mainly just grabbing drinks.

Dirty Laundry is a fun, cozy, dimly lit bar tucked away a little off of Hollywood Blvd down a set of stairs. Came on a Thursday night when a band came played a secret show so experience may not be a typical one. But definitely loved the venue. There's a decently sized stage for the band, and enough standing room on the floor and by the bar area as they did a pretty good job of occupancy control. The sound system is great as well - can definitely feel it, but its not deafening by any means. The speakeasy decor here is awesome as well as they have fancy lighting and posh seats. Drinks here are decently priced. $6 for an IPA. FYI since it's underground, your reception will be lackluster.

I was here last night so everything is still fresh in my mind. Music was solid -- not my faves but it's hard to find any place in LA that plays my flavor of rap, trap, hip hop, alt mix. The band was LIVE -- all the way LIVE. Security: When I got there the person at the door was medium build, blonde(I think), white, and in a cute little pea coat. We didn't interact much but he was cool. Definitely not what I've read about the pretentious rude butthead security other people have encountered. He was polite, smiled, joked a little bit -- regular shit. Bartender: My bartender was so sweet and handsome and all the things you want from a bartender. He noticed I was a little hot after some guy sat at our booth and started yelling at me when I wouldn't engage and he made sure I was okay, made my drink pretty, and just smiled his sparkling assuring smile and it made me relax and start having fun again. He and my girlie had a convo about agave and honey(ingredients in my drink) and it was the cutest most normal thing and I loved it. He took time out to actually engage with customers and that's something I appreciate. My drinks were MOUTH WATERING. Handsome bartender clearly understands spirits and flavors and how they pair with each other. My drinks were complex and layered (HELLA PROPS FOR THIS). I hate a 1 dimensional drink and that wasn't the case with any of the 3 drinks I had(yeah, I was feeling it hahaha) The BAND: cranked too hard!! I wish they went into some go-go beats because that would've rocked. One of the band members was such a honey bc though I wasn't engaging much he still spoke when he saw me, even if it was just to say I was being mean to him(with a smile though. It was cool). I'm not mean, I was just drinkin' and smokin' and in my zone. He was cute too so maybe I'll go back and clear that all up...or be mean again since it looks like he likes em mean hahaha I definitely agree with the wild ass dance moves happening in here. The whole night you could find me dodging and avoiding seizure moves. I thought one guy was going to kick me in my face HAHAH!! It was hilarious and scary at the same damn time. There were some characters in there but for sure some cool cats and some iconic fashion was there, mixed in with the try-too-hards and the what-the-fucks. One guy had a LOOK - black duster, black (leather?)pants, white studio head phones, and some heavy boots that all together were looooooks. And of course, me, killing it -- deep motherland vibes and a mean foxtail oooow. Negatives: 1) the guys in here are THIRSTY. Parched. To the point of hallucination. Desert. Mirages and shit. I couldn't walk around without some jackhole bothering me and this was my night to get wild with my girlie and pick and choose who I wanted to mingle with. I don't like being harassed or bombarded -- I don't find it flattering or any of that -- it's annoying. Calm the fuck down, thirsty. 2)Even the women were acting crazy. 2 separate trips to the bathroom and they wouldn't stfu and leave me alone. I don't wanna be your friend, fam. I wanna pee and get back on the dance floor. And their approach was all wrong. I've been drinkin' and I've been smokin' -- let me LIVE MY BEST LIFE. Then when I didn't engage they called me all kinds of bourgeoise under their breath as they walked out because though they were crazy, they knew a real one when they saw one. LA is weird man. 3) The ceiling was leaking. Like...forreal. At the bar near the DJ, drip...drip...drip...on your head, arm, into your drink. Look up and you see where some sort of makeshift panel was nailed up as a fix but...it's not fixed. They've gotta work on that before some code violations get written up. All in all -- you see the rating I gave. 4-stars for a reason. It's a cool spot and I fuck with it. I'll be back.

Their bartenders are so childish you could call them pathetic. After having being invited as a guest and given a couple drink tickets to bring other vip guests the bartender I went to messily could have been thought to be high on cocaine or meth with his angry homophobic attitude. After I explained I was given another drink ticket for what I was bringing to the event (influencers with 5million+ followings) he got angry and called over security. This event happened in April and I still find myself thinking about because I've never in my life seen a professional in the events industry wine so much because I had asked his name which he wouldn't give me after his melt down. Months have gone by and I've vocalized and let every event producer I know not deal with dirty laundry. I've successfully had them and my vip move to other events and will continue to do so.

Sexy, darkly lit motif: check Amazing mixology skilled tenders of the bar: check Speakeasy-ish low key entrance: check Pretty people, trendy crowd: check This place has been on my radar for a cool minute because I don't hit Hollywood often but last week I'm glad I was coincidentally in the area. I perused the Yelp reviews after my visit and any complaining seems to revolve around overcrowding and irritated door guys and/or stressed staff that work here but honestly that sounds par for a Friday night in Hollywood. I came on a weeknight and had zero problems whatsoever so who knows, maybe I'll be all "I was totally wrong you guys fuck this place" after trying out a Friday night. But then again I understand (as most people should) that trendy places on Friday/Saturday nights in Hollywood are *all* packed, they *all* have staff running around bat shit crazy trying to get to everyone, you just have to hope that the overall experience and drink list is worth the few bumps in the road caused by a Friday/Saturday night. We rolled through on a Wednesday and it was perfect, just the right amount of people, the music was tremendous, and the bartenders were stellar. "Free samples from your mixology booze slushee machine? Why thank you, good sir. Wait, is that a tequila, habanero, cherry and lime slushee?? Holy shit that's good." I think we had three drinks each and every one of them was a complete delight to the senses. I can totally see how some people would love this place and others would hate it. This is very much a trendy place with a very strong cocktail game. I've been to Roger Room probably two dozen times because it offers the same except Dirty Laundry is in Hollywood and has a bit of a party vibe with the music. This place is very much a lounge, totally not a club and not just a bar, but a lounge. I dig it. If you're the 100% dive bar type who thinks $13 cocktails are lame and trendy people are obnoxious then just save yourself the trouble. If you are looking to get wild, looking for a Hollywood club scene to be a fucking awful party spaz at then take that shit elsewhere. But if you want to kick back and feel slick with cocktails offering depth of flavor, enjoy a dark provocative decor and some great music, then this may very well be your jam. Came here on a Wednesday night and I must say I was pretty impressed to see how poppin' it was even if it was Wednesday. Venue was small but still able to dance around! Drinks were good and so were the staff! For sure will check this place out again, perhaps on a weekend

Probably one of my fav bars in Hollywood, it's underground they have diff types of music every night , amazing drinks, diff variety of beers. The place does get pretty packed. The attire can be casual for the most part.

I was enjoying my time amongst friends when some drunk girl gets mad because I won't move out of the way after she literally pushes me off my pivot. I say something about it and she spits in my face! I turn around to tell security and one of her friends pushes me blindsided and I push back on reflex. She's a female so she also spits in my face! Obviously I'm not going to hit anyone so when security comes up I tell them I'm leaving on my own and don't want any trouble. I get to the door and the door guy has all kinds of words for me when I tell him that his security thinks its ok for his female patrons to spit in my face, but it's not ok for me to voice my opinion about it and be upset about being thrown out Initially when I was walking out he said he would get the females accused of spitting on me as I walked out, but changed his tune when he vehemently denied it when I said I would contact legal representation. Not so sure this is a place minorities are welcome

I wish I knew his name, but the bartender was AMAZING!!! He was super busy as they all were, but really personable and nice. I can't say enough good things about him!! The bar was good - poppin' & music on point

In all honesty, came here when the line at No Vacancy was too long, but entered the bar and was pleasantly surprised at how cool this speak easy is. Great decor and laid back crowd. Less bougie than No Vacancy by far. My issues Its downstairs in a basement, and it can be a bit hot/claustrophobic since no outdoor space and its crowded, which should be noted but they let you outside for a smoke and some air without worry. They play good music and offer some seating, but for the most part it is standing. Drinks are strong and the bartenders are friendly!

This is a Hollywood HOT spot! Bartenders are on point, they work fast, and cocktails are incredible. Different rooms with different music styles. This cocktail was made by one the bartenders, Albert. He made a real show of preparing the cocktail so it was fun to watch and delicious to drink! Highly recommend

Last night was my first time here and I LOVED it! It looks like a secret from the outside. The person that checked me in was nice and quick. The decor is dark and romantic and creepy in a stunning way, if that makes sense. A very special shoutout to my bartender for the night, SCOTTIE, who by the way makes the BEST Old Fashions. Hands down, best one I've ever had. See photo. :) The music for Super Soul Monday's was so much fun! Mike Cottone was there playing as well and killed it! I'll definitely be coming back for the Old Fashions and the music.

Stole my birthday balloons. Said they would hold them and when I came out, bc the dj was closed on a Saturday night (who does that?!), they had popped them. Super lame.

Nah. Just nah. Tiny, smelly and well, dirty. I may have been a little turned off by the fact that everyone in there looked about 18. Or maybe it was the horrible music they were playing. We were there for about an hour (it was all we could take) and they didn't play one song I recognized. It was like dub step meets edm meets disco funk- ugh!! The bitchy bartender was the final straw. I get it, you deal with fake ID carrying 18 year olds all night long, but recognize a grown woman when you see one!

I went to Dirty Laundry for a friend's party in early November and opened up a tab after ordering a drink. I had one drink the whole night, stayed for a couple hours, and when I went to close it, the bartenders said my card wasn't there. They kept asking if I had it on me...don't you think I'd find it in my wallet or pockets if did?? They were apologetic and I was told I would be reimbursed for the charge. I cancelled my card and was charged $24. The bartender, Nick, gave me his cell and said he'd text/call if it showed up. I never heard from him over the course of 2 weeks texting and calling him a lot. I've since emailed them numerous times and have not heard back...it's been 2 months of radio silence. I'm still going to annoy everyone till I get reimbursed but won't be going back there and will be telling others not to go there, too.

If you want to dance to the lights of the disco ball, come here! This bar was underground and had a large dance floor. The cocktails were pretty standard for LA (in price and variety). Honestly, if you're at No Vacancy (just a few feet away) and determine the line to be too long for you, come here and get a more dance-y clubbing vibe. There is a bar area and seats where you can hang out, but where it's at is the disco ball room.

They'll disregard all reservations and previous arrangements you made with management for the sake of making it look like there's a line outside. For them it's all about creating a fake hype. There was nobody inside as the bar had first opened and for the first 15 minutes they only let 9 people from my party in. The outside security guy was completely rude and unpleasant. There was one security inside that helped me out and was super friendly. Aside from the bad service outside, the place is actually nice. The drinks are great and the dj played some great music. The decor is nice also. It's not very roomy downstairs but it's like any other spot in LA. You should park elsewhere and uber here as the only parking spot across the street charges around $20 and it's super crowded.

Dirty Laundry is one of my favorite speakeasies in LA! It's owned by the same people who do No Vacancy, La Descarga, Pour Vous, Break Room 86, etc. - Houston Hospitality! Dirty Laundry actually used to be the laundry room of the hotel upstairs. The hotel I believe is no longer in service and they converted the laundry room into a fun bar. You descend downstairs to the bar and the place takes pride in its lack of service so that people actually talk with each other. I've come here for a chill night to crazy birthday parties! They serve creative cocktails like they tend to do at these type of bars. You can also get table service where they will serve you a gigantic punch bowl! Dirty Laundry is mostly for hanging out and drinking but they do have a small room with a DJ for dancing. Dirty Laundry is right next to No Vacancy. Most people tend to come here when they can't get into No Vacancy (after 11pm). I highly recommend Dirty Laundry!

DISGUSTING BAR - RACIST BOUNCERS. Don't expect to go here if you aren't white. If you're a person of color don't bother coming here. My friends of color were turned away while I was let in (white guy, early 40s probably works every night). I came outside to see what the issue was and they refused to let me back inside saying I stayed outside for more than 10 MINUTES. since i had put down my card for 3 drinks, I politely asked to get my card and they refused. Absolute trash establishment. You're better off going to one of the many classier and respectable bars around Hollywood.

A great place on Monday nights!!! They have a live band and a great drinks. We loved that it's underground and we paid only $5 for a great night.

I love that there were two rooms with different genres of music. That gave me a chance to switch between EDM and hip-hop. The only drawback is that you cannot handle the crowd that came to watch the shows. And to be totally honest I felt like they did not like the hip-hop show that was going on. To leave on a great note the bartenders are amazing I even took a picture with one of them.so if you're looking for a cool place to go to go shoot the breeze will definitely stop here

I had three good experiences here and the last is my last. I would bring a few of my tour guests (2-6 people ) inside, once a month for one drink in this historic speakeasy, after I talk about the history of the building outside. I have only been there 3x and very briefly as our time is limited inside. I have talked with Louis the manager and a few other security guards about the history of the property which they kindly told me stories and showed me around-5 stars for being cool and I'm sincerely gracious for your attention. You're obviously not my complaint. But... I've been trying to contact the main office about their closures and events calendar as their website calendar is always blank. I know they have a private event on Wed, but a few other times I've stopped by both properties were closed. I really wanted to support this place. But, they have been ignoring me for over 2+ months with several attempts including unreturned phone calls. A 2-minute reply is all I'm asking. I'm busy, too. But this is no excuse-It's bad business. Then I was refused entrance as I had two very highly regarded ladies (journalists) from Chicago with me on my normal walking tour and painfully accused of things I've never done by the front doorman, Paul, in front of them. He said "I was opening doors!" ???? Yeah, to the bathroom and the smoking area. Maybe an employee failed to see security escorting me and a few guests into the back room. It was a very slow night, and I was bringing business inside. It was Embarrassing and unprofessional. My guests couldn't believe how rude Paul was to us. To be accused of such things is, well, childish. Even if he meant it in the term of "opening Ghost doors". Which is even more ridiculous, as any old property has its history, memories, and attachments. Upon discussions with others who have had a similar experience, I have no high regard any longer for this establishment. Some call it an adult-themed romper room. Now I can see why. A Speakeasy without the jazz? That's not right. I never took much notice to the people surrounding me down there, but rather how wonderfully they have decorated it. I'm sure they won't miss my small, curious, and educated groups of people from all over the world I could bring in. And, as I've been hearing with Houston Hospitality's constant expansions, It seems they are biting more than they can chew. I'll stick to local, well established businesses that smile when I come in and treat me and my guests with "REAL HOSPITALITY".

Dirty Laundry Bar is somewhere between being a club and a bar. There's a DJ in the back room and bottle service can be ordered... but there isn't particularly much dancing going on. The crowd is definitely a "club" crowd and getting in the door can be difficult like a club. We had reservations through the publicist that just got us in the door. To sit at a table, there's a $200 minimum spend. Without a table, there's nowhere to sit, save for once couch in the back room that we managed to grab on to for the most of the night. There was no "password" to get in (at least for us) as others have stated. It definitely has a speakeasy vibe, being located underground, where you'd never expect there to be a bar. To get there, you need to go down a staircase from the street level. The only way of knowing where the door is is the bouncer standing outside. The entrance is just around the corner from No Vacancy, which it sits under. When you first enter, it looks like it's a very small bar, but if you go to the back there's another room (with a DJ and where we spotted certain celebs hanging out), and there's also an outside smoking area. The vibe is cool.. rule #1 of the house rules actually states "no name-dropping, whining or star-fu*king" which hits the nail on the head in this part of town. Hopefully the vibe stays cool as people find out about Dirty Laundry and those star-f*ckers try to get in the door. They have an array of interesting cocktails and prices aren't terrible. I was partial to the vodka cucumber cocktail but switched to vodka soda because the small bar in the back room doesn't serve specialty cocktails. Not exactly a bar you'd go to all the time just to hang out, but a cool place when you are looking for something a bit more trendy.
