"From the moment you touch down on the grounds of the 135-acre working cocoa farm, a stay at the Fond Doux feels like a step back in time. It begins in your suite, one of 15 cottages that have been lovingly restored by owners Lyton and Eroline Lamontagne in the colonial style, with traditional gingerbread trim, four-poster beds, and pastel walls. Though some cottages have private plunge pools, you’ll want to make your way to the cascading main pool, which overlooks a verdant rain-forest glen. If all this sounds a little sleepy, don’t fret: A free shuttle is available to whisk guests to nearby Sugar Beach, and frequently rotating minibuses pass the hotel on their way to restaurants and shops 10 minutes away in Soufrière."

We had an INCREDIBLE day with Zack!!!!! Picked us up at the designated time & place, took us to everything we wanted to see, took such good care of us AND got us back to the cruise ship on time. Can’t recommend enough. We loved it!!!!

We had such a great time on our private tour of St. Lucia and would recommend it. Our driver Zac was phenomenal. He was an excellent driver and made us feel comfortable the whole way from getting us refreshments and taking fabulous photos. This a full day tour so recommend dressing comfortably, sneakers/closed shoes for the hike, having a big breakfast, bring towels for the mud bath, extra water botters, water shoes and cash. You will enjoy grabbing photos of the Pitons and the mud bath was such a unique experience.

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect experience! Chris, our tour guide and amazing photographer, made the day a blast! He promptly picked us up at our resort and was extremely friendly right front the start. He talked to us about the history of the island as well as many of the cultural traditions of the locals. Our first stop was at a beautiful overlook where we met a couple locals who made my fiancé and I a rose and grasshopper made from palm leaves. Chris explained to us that the locals view green grasshoppers as good luck. From there we visited the fishing village where he gave us great insight to the history of the village. We also stopped at a banana farm to sample the delicious St. Lucian bananas. Chris then took us to the Cassava bread sampling where he walked us through the entire process of making the cassava. The chocolate chip bread was delicious! Next, he took us to beautiful view of the Pitons. He was an excellent photographer and took pictures that we will cherish forever. Continuing on, he drove us safely and comfortably through the windy roads to the Toraille Waterfall and the Botanical Gardens. At the botanical gardens we had a guide accompany us and gave us a very informative tour of all the different flowers and greenery the island has to offer. Finally we ended our tour with a surprise for my now fiancé with a beach proposal on Anse Mamin beach. Mora was exceptional with planning the proposal with me down to the tiniest details. She was so attentive and kind during the whole process that I did not worry for a minute about proposing abroad. Mora, and the team, did an absolute beautiful job with the set up of 4 messages in bottles along the beach to be found and opened by my fiancé which were surrounded by her favorite seashells and draped in our colors. After the last bottle was opened and read, they set up a perfect path of seashells that formed a heart with two lit tiki torches draped in our colors of purple and blue. Chris again took professional pictures and videos of the big moments. We can't thank them enough for the flawless day! After she said yes, Mora gave her a beautiful bouquet of flowers and ice cold Champagne to celebrate. Lastly before our drive home we ate at the Anse Chastanet restaurant on the beach. I highly recommend Discover Soufriere for any tour and if you are thinking about proposing in St. Lucia, Mora is the one to go to. She will make sure your day as special and perfect as it should be. Thanks to Chris, Mora, and the team for your amazing assistance and execution on such a special day to us. My fiancé and I fell in love with St. Lucia and will forever have a special place in our hearts because of you.

Be mindful: This company is mostly a tour operator for private car with driver. We rented a car for self drive and that is not something I would recommend anybody doing (see other reviews for self drive on Google for more references). We rented the car from Vieux Fort/Hewanorra Airport where they do not have an office. We were told the day before we arrived that they currently did not have a car at that place (which is a bit of a joke, finding out afterwards that they don't have an office there and that they never have a car there unless they specifically drive one down for a booking). We received the car 4 hours after the scheduled pickup. One of their employees brought the car from Soufriere. No formal handover process and you have to take pictures of pre-existing damages yourself which we did. We then had to take the driver to the bus station - a 15 minute drive from our hotel each way which we had not been expecting. When we asked about the process to return the car he told us he'd be at the airport at the scheduled date/time. On returning the car at the airport there was nobody there from the company. We had to contact them via Whatsapp and were told to leave the car in the parking area with the key in the car and to take pictures. So we took pictures of the car and the fuel indicator and sent them to them via Whatsapp. Days later we had to contact them again as they had not released the security deposit. According to Google reviews they may be a good operator for private driver tours on the island but I would not recommend them for self-drive car rental at all.

Our Driver Peter was excellent! We were lucky to have him for multiple excursions- he was very informative about the island and had a ton of local recommendations for us in regard to food and activities. We had a great time :) Be sure to ask for Peter when booking excursions through Discover Soufriere 😎

Privet car trip to Anse Chastanet during cruise stop. This was our first trip to St. Lucia while on cruise. Before our trip I was researching where would we go on the island. We do not like the ship excursions due to time limitations and a lot of shopping stops. So we found this beach very close to Pitons in the heart of the island. It was promising seclusion and good snorkeling. The question was how to get there. While browsing the reviews I came across "Discover Soufriere". I went to web site, found the email asking if they could arrange a ride for us. The answer was prompt and positive I was given a price and pick up suggestion which both seemed acceptable so we agreed. Upon the arrival on the island we were met by the driver exactly as promised. Our driver was very nice guy. He took invited us into a very nice SUV, he offered us cold water and beer water and beers as we took off. The trip was fantastic, our guide was knowledgeable and with good humor. Superb driving given the road is never ending serpentine all the way through the whole island. That was one of the most beautiful ride we ever experienced. The Island is a paradise.... When we reached our destination, we set the time we go back to the ship and parted. When time was to leave our guide was already waiting and he made all effort to get us back to the ship right on time. We made a payment transaction after we were dropped off at the port entrance and parted ways as good friends. Thanks to "Discover Soufriere" our adventure was a success and left best memories about ST. Lucia. We are definitely will be in touch when time comes for the next trip. Thank You.

Soufriere is a small town on the Caribbean side of the island. It is build in the crater of an active volcano. A trip to the drive in volcano, sulphur springs and mud baths are a must. Al's a great spot to visit the Pitons from. Anse Chastanet and sugar beach are also very close

My Trip to the Twins Piton was amazing. Pick up was on time. Mora my tour guide was so very personable, I felt as if we’ve known each other for years with conversation and fun. She was very knowledgeable about everything Saint Lucia. She didn’t miss a beat on providing the history and attractions of the island.
