Google
We have been to Cocoa Beach a lot of times but this place never came up on our search. I am so glad it did on June 6th. We had the best meal and conversation with the owners daughter..The food 10/10, size portions 10/10, everything was wonderful.

Google
Interesting place. Went on a Friday night. Specials were fried fish, fried shrimp, fried seafood. Not Great. Too much fried everything. I doubt there was a vegetable or a salad in the place. One (1) waitress for entire place, maybe 20 booths/ tables and bar seats. So long, long wait for sub par food. Sorry, but maybe food is better on other menu nights???? Hire more servers.

Google
I wasn't expecting much. I was very surprised. Food was made to order. Chicken tenders were breaded when ordered. Fries were fresh cut. Nachos were fresh fried flour tortillas and real cheese. Mahi was good. A little gripe- $1 for jalapenos for my nachos? Eh.. Again, I was pleasantly surprised!

Google
Possibly the best food in Cocoa, I kid you not. They say everything is scratch made, and I absolutely believe it. The crab cakes are more crab than cake and are wonderful. The fettuccine Alfredo with blackened chicken was so good that I didn't even get to snap a photo of it before it was gone. This place is a true gem!

Google
I am an owner at the resort and my family and I love it there. My only negative this time is we were put in the wrong unit but didnt realize it until we checked out. I also did not appreciate having to pay for our children to do the arts and crafts activities. We pay enough in fees. All that should be included in our stay. Other than that no regrets with or purchase or stay. The beaches are beautiful and everyone is friendly in the area.

Google
Never disappoint, had the shrimp scampi and now I will have to share because it was so much. And of course I had the escargot appetizer.

Christine Clement

Google
They seated our party of 8 quickly and with so much friendliness you’d have thought we were regulars. Food was excellent! Scratch made and delicious. Don’t pass up this gem!

Patrick

Google
The fish I ordered was not fresh and tasted fowl. The server didn't offer a new serving or comp just "sorry". No one was in the restaurant except us. I can understand why. We liked this place in the past.

Yelp
What a surprisingly great lunch. We stay at the DBR every year and never think to visit the cafe. We decided to try it and ended up likening it so much, we came back twice. Fries are stellar! So are the fried pickles and the chicken quesadilla is probably one of the best I've ever had. While the decor and furniture could use an update, they make up for it in the food taste. The staff is friendly and the chef is a nice guy. The outdoor area is great if you're coming in off the beach or the pool. Inside needs some love. We will certainly come back!!

Yelp
Hands down BEST meatball sandwich in the state of Florida! Every Sunday we can- going to Discovery Beach Tiki hut- listening to the band and going to the beach! That's why we live in Florida ‍

Eugene J.

Yelp
Very convenient to have a good restaurant in your timeshare resort, after checking in, we just went downstairs by the lobby and had a delicious dinner, I ordered a chili dog and my wife ordered a shrimp dinner, both were very good. Service was very friendly and prompt, my thing there was No clam Chowder, it was okay though. It's small Cafe with a nicecozy bar, very cool. They need to incorporate into the menu, Fish and chips , that would be cool.

Fred W.

Yelp
Great food ,great service, reasonable prices Get the taco Tuesday deal - awesome Other days you can't lose with the turkey bacon club - enough left over for dinner Sunday try the specials while enjoying the live duo from 2-4 at the tiki bar- 60 s, 70 s, etc Enjoy Leaving on a jet plane, under the boardwalk, etc - you pick the songs See you there

Yelp
Recently I stopped by to order French fries to go. I was so disappointed bc they were greasy and clearly cooked in fish oil. TBH they were nasty. Last year I ordered food to go. I was surprised that the owner thinks it's okay to add 10% to the bill for the "to go containers".. who does that? My husband sold restaurant paper products and he knows the containers is super cheap. Regardless charging for to go is ridiculous. We sure miss Frank; he really knows how to cook and run a restaurant.

Yelp
We were referred to Discovery Beach Cafe by a local after we were fresh off of a cruise. We were a party of 12 and were graciously welcomed by our sweet and fun server. All of the food was prepared fresh and it was all delicious - the beer cheese soup was amazing, it was a special that day and the blackened chicken was delicious and very juicy. Their frozen drink menu was full of fun and unique combinations. I wish we were able to spend more time in cocoa beach as we would've gone back and spent more time outside on the patio.

Scott N.

Yelp
Visiting our friend for the night and we wanted a beach restaurant so we could see the launch after dinner, but we had our small Sheltie with us. Cold nite but they opened the tiki bar area so we could sit outside with our girl. Food was absolutely amazing (I highly recommend the French Onion soup) and the service was fantastic!! Hottie was a bright spot of the evening with exceptional service and attitude!!!

K N.

Yelp
Brought our puppy and they were so accommodating. We loved the service here. The food was excellent too. And then we can walk to the beach.

Bernadette H.

Yelp
This is a great hidden gem on the side of a resort. Indoor and outdoor seating. Live music was a pleasant surprise. I had a salad that was delicious. The kids enjoyed their kids menu. Our server Val was excellent. 2 kids 2 adults with an app and couple adult beverages =$71!! That's unheard of these days. Go check them out you won't be disappointed.

Tracy M.

Yelp
My daughter and I ate there for the 1st time on 9/7/2023 and absolutely loved our experience! Our server, Koolaid, was just wonderful - a real Sweetheart of a young lady! The food was so good and amazingly large portions! I had the build a burger - out of this world - you all must try this! My daughter had the BLT sandwich platter - she ate every bite! Enjoyed a Beautiful walk to the beach! We WILL be back the next time we are in town.

Eileen F.

Yelp
The food was so much better than I expected when we sat down outside. I had the Reuben and made some special requests- they nailed it. The chips are homemade and as they say 'to die for'. Hubby's patty melt was also very good. The service was spot on. Shout out to our servers. The best part was the surprise music. From 2-4pm we were so wonderfully entertained by Just BE duo. Evelyn & Bruce play an eclectic mix of music. She's the main vocalist and hits every note. He backs her up on an acoustic guitar and vocals. The sound level was just right. Every song had me singing along. They hv a list of 100 songs they pass out and you get to request your favorite. Lots of locals were there and even got up to dance. It made our afternoon memorable. Totally suggest you visit any Sunday (except in September and rainy days).

Lawrence M.

Yelp
Loved the chicken picatta: smaller portion was perfect and the price very reasonable.

Theresa Z.

Yelp
My favorite Sunday Brunch place.. Endless Bubbles on a Sunday is why I totally enjoy coming here and meet my usual group.. Parking is in the lot or if you have a Cocoa Beach Parking sticker it's good to use along the side lot.. This is what I use to call my lil Hideaway but the cats been out of the bag for years now.. The dinners are plentiful.. The best part for the guys is that they can smoke Cigars out side at the tiki bar and enjoy the live music.. Ladies bring your bathing suit it's right next to the beach.. Steps literally..

Yelp
It's a good place to eat and take in the atmosphere but you have to know what you are getting into and set your expectations appropriately. You are not coming here for stellar food, quick service or great drinks. You are coming here to get some decent food, enjoy the beach like/faux Tiki atmosphere, be around locals and some tourists (most of whom are staying at the Discovery Beach Resort), have some o.k drinks and enjoy a slow and steady pace of the day. I like it because it's convenient and I know exactly what to expect. I sit at the bar or grab a table and know the service will be slow. In fact, you will need to be proactive. Sometimes track down the waitress, check your order, remind the staff about any additional items or preparations, get your own waters, ask for silverware, and the bill. lol I know this seems like a lot but I never really mind. When ordering, stick with bar food. The grilled fish tacos, nachos and burgers are consistently satisfying. Other items such as spaghetti and such are a "miss". I keep it simple at the bar. Cranberry and vodka, Club soda and vodka, Vodka and tonic. They have specialty cocktails but I can't vouch for them. Sometimes they are good and other times they miss the mark. When they have live music; it's good. The other day the musicians sang a lot of songs from diverse genres and had a great energy. I've noticed a lot of 5 star reviews are from yelp reviewers who have 0 friends and few reviews but the yelp reviewers who are elite status consistently give this place a 2 or 3 stars. I want to be fair. The staff is nice. The food is o.k. The place is fine. It's better to be honest so people coming here will really enjoy it and they will only enjoy it if the correct expectations are set. :)

Yelp
My lunch buddy and I had salads and shared a burger. The Cobb and California Salads were loaded. Thought we ordered small glad we didn't order large. The burger was cooked exactly as we asked--medium-- and flavor was very good. The wait staff was very friendly and efficient. Very convenient since we were staying at the resort.

Stephanie G.

Yelp
Good food. Busy place could definitely use more staff. Taco salad wrap was delicious. Fried haddock sandwich was better than many places in New England. Delicious drinks and friendly service. Only disappointment was the slow service- they really just need more staff.

Bryan M.

Yelp
This place is a nice little find in Cape Canaveral. Located downstairs in the condo. We ordered pork schnitzel, the pork chop special and shrimp scampi. All were good and plentiful but the flavoring was mild. No insult intended but I'd guess it's meant to be, considering the average age of the clientele. I'd eat here again, I just didn't find it memorable enough to put it on a "gotta go back" list, that's all.

Daniel J.

Yelp
I had the 8 oz burger with chedder cheese . It was eatable. I was told that it was hand made , and not a frozed patty. The burger wasnt that memorable. Came here for lunch, so I will give it another try and try something different the next time. The group that I was with said they would give it 3 stars based on the sandwiches they had, which was the turkey club sandwich, patty melt, and the bratwurst burger.

Jennifer G.

Yelp
We were staying at a hotel a block or so away and it came highly recommended for a local lunch spot. Its a small outside patio area with a 10 top tiki bar attached to the building. We were under the perception it was beach side, but there is no view of the water or beach. It's actually a side area of the Discovery Beach time share but it's open to the public. Daily drink specials are $2 select drafts, $2.75 mixed etc. The food was pretty good, nothing overly exciting. Traditional menu options like burgers, fish and chips, sandwiches. This is a once was good enough stop for us.

Dick D.

Yelp
Oh my goodness. This place is truly a surprise. Inside and outside seating (Tiki bar style). The staff has been there forever and that says something for a tourist town. New menu item bacon wrapped shrinp with sauce over rice is to die for. Each person in my party asked for different apps and different entrees and everyone was delighted. Fish, steaks and burgers were our choices but the locals said they have specials every night like Italian, BBQ etc. that are also very good. Food is great and staff is exceptional. Unbeatable combination at affordable prices.

Yelp
Three of us went to an early dinner. We ordered an app Dino's boom bang shrimp they were very good. Then we all had French onion soup very tasty. Dinner was blackened chicken, reuben sandwich & simple side salad. Chicken was done very good it had a fabulous taste, the reuben was very big and was good, accept for the coleslaw. The side salad was not acceptable I prefer green lettuce so can't say it was good didn't eat but a few bites. We would go back. Waitress was very nice & she she told us everything was made from scratch. The restaurant is very outdated but that did not reflect in the food.

Amanda J.

Yelp
This is a nice little café for anyone who is staying at the Discovery Beach Resort. Our waitress was very friendly, but not as attentive as I would of like her to have been. The food was good. We shared a chili cheese fries appetizer, which we were not expecting it to be as huge as it was! We also shared the Pizza Rockafella. This was a new take on thin crust pizza with a fried tortilla as the pizza dough instead of traditional pizza dough. The toppings were jalapenos, chicken, tomatoes and cheese. It was really tasty, and again, large enough to share with another person, but it was light so you don't feel heavy before you go swimming in the pool or at the beach. For a quick bite to eat before or after the beach, and you happen to be a resort guest, it's a nice stop.

Tracy M.

Yelp
Awesome place. Fun cheerful atmosphere with good food. Great people and employees. Would definitely recommend.

Kevin H.

Yelp
Excellent food! Spectacular service! Awesome location. Great patio. Little off the wall place. Everything is made from scratch! Patio is great for lunch! Grouper sandwich was delish! Lasagna special was truely authentic!

Mike K.

Yelp
Awesome Food, I had the pastrami sandwich with homemade cut fries and my wife had the blackened chicken tacos. We also had great drinks served by Valerie. People working here are so nice and eager to make your stay enjoyable.

Diann K.

Yelp
Stayed next door and walked over to this unassuming place for the Friday fish fry specials. Fish and shrimp were hand battered tempura-style and very good!! Also impressed that they do hand cut fries.

Leah R.

Yelp
I put this on the vacation list since it had good reviews. When I walked in, I was like... wha?? It reminded me of an old casino coffee shop, and it was totally and completely dead. I thought yelp might have failed me. Then, we were sat outside near this really cute tiki bar, had a super, super nice server (I believe her name was Jen), and found just what we wanted on the menu (a club sandwich). They were very accommodating when it started to sprinkle and we wanted to move inside (not that it was that busy, but y'know, we were dirtying two tables, etc). The club sandwich was HUGE and lovely, and the fries were delicious. One gripe - there was hard boiled egg on it. Unless that's a thing I haven't heard of in Florida, it is NOT normal to have egg on that particular sandwich, and it wasn't mentioned anywhere on the menu (unless I totally missed it, but that's pretty unlikely). I hate eggs. I was able to pick it off without consequence, and I didn't complain about it, but I would have really rather not had to do that. I would definitely go back if I wanted a big ole sandwich, and I would definitely hit up that tiki bar.

Gerald H.

Yelp
Hotel restaurant, but the food was good! I had the ground sirloin, and my wife had a Reuben sandwich, and we were both pleased. They seemed a little understaffed, but the one lady who seemed to be hostess, waitress, and bartender was a whirlwind, so we felt the service was good!

Hyo S.

Yelp
I ordered a clam scampi pasta last Friday after reading the reviews on Google map (Five Stars!!). However, the moment food arrived at the table, a foul odor permeated from the dish and I had to turn my head away from the food. I asked for check, paid, reluctantly, and left the restaurant a few seconds after. It just blows my mind how this restaurant was rated Five Stars.. Don't recommend at all.

Jim B.

Yelp
The French onion soup is outstanding with herbs in the soup. The escargot with mushroom caps is very nice. It has outstanding flavor. The fish and chips are very good. It does not have a very oily left over taste or oil on your plate. It is very light. It was a very good time and good dinner.

Darla M.

Yelp
Great food... I ordered the Alfredo with blackened chicken, and it was amazing! My family ordered the Ruben sandwich, and have been back multiple times since to order it. Even if you're not staying on the resort, it is very easy to get to and parking is right out front. It is small family run restaurant. Great service. Very clean

Yelp
As a local resident of Cocoa Beach, my wife and I have often visited the restaurant over the past 20+ years. When Frank and Mary owned it, it was a top notch restaurant. Unfortunately, the restaurant changed ownership last year. We recently ate dinner at the Discovery Beach Cafe and were quite disappointed in the service and the food. The fish sandwhich arrived to our table as pieces of fish nuggets on a bun. The fish nuggets were over cooked in a deep fryer. When we quiried the owner, she stated that the fish nuggets were the last few pieces remaining of the Friday night fish fry and her help is still learning the business. Additionally, the waitress forgot the side order of baked beans, stating that they were making a new batch. When the beans finally arrived, they were as cold as the can they came out of. Nothing special of Van Camp beans from a can. To be honest, the Owner did comp the food bill, but this is not the food and service quality of which the previous owners Frank and Mary provided. After going there for the past 20+ years, that was the last visit. There are plenty of nearby restaurants for the local people to patron. That is too bad because during low season, Cape Canaveral restaurants depend on the locals to stay in business.

Patrea B.

Yelp
Consistently the BEST FOOD EVER!!! The French onion soup is the best I've ever tasted!!! Wings, Escargot and Burgers are bang on too! Cannot go wrong with anything on their extensive menu. Did I mention the staff here is just as outstanding as the food?

Terry M.

Yelp
Nice place for lunch. Prices are reasonable and service is good. This is in a resort but the path is clearly marked. Tiki bar is outside so you can grab a drink right off the beach path.

Diana O.

Yelp
The food here was great! Staff was extremely friendly a special thank you to Sue for taking care of us!

Ted B.

Yelp
We really enjoyed the people and the food here! Grouper was excellent! Even the chili dog brought on the smiles .

Donald K.

Yelp
The food was great and reasonably priced. My family of 5 had lunch and a dinner there. I recommend the buffalo chicken wings and the NY strip. Sign says under new management but it is all the same crew and the quality is the same. We vacation there once a year and will plan eating there 3 or 4 times next trip.

Bethesda A.

Yelp
Excellent Wednesday pasta and Friday fish fry. Clam chowder delicious. Price and portions are good as is the service. Very friendly and food is temp hot and served quickly. Enough food for take home. Highly recommend

Jason S.

Yelp
Food was ok. Service was good. Fish tacos were good, rice meh, blacked grouper was meh. Shrimp was ok.

Sam M.

Yelp
The food was very good (and cheap!) and the waitress was amazing. I would highly recommend. It's attached to a hotel, so it's a bit hidden, but definitely work it.

Bill L.

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch after being on the beach. We had sandwiches which were well made and tasty. The restaurant was somewhat low on style and staff. For a place on the beach it's kind of drab. Prices are good and the one woman working did her best.

Raquel E.

Yelp
I was really excited and looking forward to a nice atmosphere and meal since yelp had four stars on this restaurant. When we got there it was 30 minutes before closing and nobody was attending us when we walked in the bartender had to come over to us and tell us immediately instead of greeting us that they were closing soon and that we just barely made it before the kitchen closed we were there for the special fish fry Friday she asked us what we wanted to sit and we asked if we could sit outside we had karaoke going on outside and it was a very rough crowd we wanted to enjoy the breeze so we remain sitting outside it took forever for someone to come and take our order which ended up being the bartender. I had to go up to the bar to tell her that we were ready to order because she was taking too long she didn't tell us that the fish fry was over because they ran out of fish so then we had to take more additional time to choose something else to eat once the food came it was prepared and cooked quickly and the presentation was nice it tasted good the fries were great we ordered dessert the cake was the chocolate cake was awful it tasted dry and stale. The karaoke was disappointing because when I went up to request to sing a songThe lady was very rude she motioned with her hand to her neck like she was all done and she allowed for one more person to go up and sing. We waited a while and we had to go up to the bar again to pay for a check because she didn't come back and check on us. I gave it to start because the food was good but the atmosphere was disappointing and the customer service was not the good.

Ray A.

Yelp
Looks like this place is under new management. The menu has changed and many of our favorites have been eliminated. The attention to detail is no longer there. Service was mediocre and so was the food. Won't be going back.

Alison D.

Yelp
Great little restaurant, totally a hidden gem. Try the Lobsteraki (lobster with bacon wrapped water chestnuts) for an appetizer. The hand battered fried shrimp was delicious, too. Thanks for the great service Lisa!

Susie T.

Yelp
I've been here several times and the food is always great, but boy does the service suck. Visited the tiki bar, waited 15 minutes just for waters, then an additional 20 minutes just for our server to return to take our orders. By the time she finally got back to us, the rest of our party already had their food, so it was pointless for us to even order. The worst part? Rather than apologizing for forgetting to come take our order, she suggested we just eat some of their food.... May return for a take-out, because as I said the food is usually great, but we definitely will not return for the service.

Tracy R.

Yelp
Very good food, great prices and excellent service. I would recommend this place. I had the 1 lb of crab legs for $14.99 and my hubby had the San Fransico stew $15 which had clams, scallops, muscles, and mahi mahi over pasta with red sauce. He Loved it!

Rick N.

Yelp
Walked into to the restaurant to see a combination saloon and small deli. Was greeted by the bartender who was also our waitress. The menu was limited with a few lunch items. The special tasted like left over ribs, but the deli sandwiches were excellent. The price was very reasonable around $6 for most menu items. For the money it is a very good place to go.

Lori Y.

Yelp
Drinks at the bar are great - Mary is the best. Check out the daily specials and try the patty melt!

Molly D.

Yelp
Yum yum yum. They have the best food, reasonable prices, and friendly staff. Seems to be a spot a lot of the locals frequent too.

Alex G.

Yelp
Very friendly place and the food has never let me down! Prices are slightly high though.
