Discovery Boracay

I booked two luxury hotels — one was Discovery and one was Crimson — to “scout” where I should best bring my big family in the future. It’s also my birthday weekend. Before the actual trip, Discovery proactively asked for my personal information. And asked for any requests, without any promise to accommodate but will try their best. That was standard but that sets the tone for a great resort/hotel experience. Airport pickup was a breeze! Room was spacious. Staff were kind. One of my favorite amenities is the shuttle service anywhere along Stations 1 to 3. The staff went above and beyond in their service. I was checking out a day before my actual birthday but they made sure that they did something special for me the night before. Will definitely come back. When I return to Boracay, I’ll definitely stay here again.

It was a memorable experience we had at Discovery Boracay, everything was perfect, they put heart in their work. Shout out to the wonderful employees of Discovery , kuya Ramon, Charina ,(not sure with the name) Chona , Fanny, Mich. and to the Guest Services team. The room was new and clean plus spacious, the breakfast is delicious, the facilities are amazing, its beachfront, and most especially the people working there. Love this place. Stayed here for 3 days with my family. The room we had was huge and beautifully arranged with a nice terrace overlooking the pool. The Sands restaurant was our favorite place to dine at which is directly right by the beach front with has the finest sand ever. Their food was delicious and good variety on their menu. The staff were very nice and courteous and Pam made sure everything went well during our check-in. I highly recommend this hotel resort!

I had a truly memorable stay at Discovery Shores Boracay. From the moment I arrived, the staff welcomed me with warm smiles and genuine hospitality that immediately made me feel at home. The room I stayed in had a stunning view — waking up every morning to the sight of the sparkling turquoise waters and white sand was absolutely breathtaking. The food was another highlight of my trip. Every meal I had was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. I especially enjoyed the variety in the breakfast buffet, offering both local Filipino favorites and international dishes. Dining here felt like a culinary journey in itself. The hotel’s location is also exceptional — right on the beachfront and close to everything, yet still peaceful enough to relax and unwind. I spent my days enjoying the beautiful swimming pool, the well-maintained beach area, and the comfortable loungers. The facilities were modern, clean, and thoughtfully designed to give guests a luxurious experience. What made my stay even more special was the attentive and friendly service. Every request was handled with care, and I truly felt valued as a guest. I had such a wonderful time here and will definitely be returning. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Boracay!

Overall, it was a great experience. Location of the resort was perfect for our family and the atmosphere was very warm and friendly. Rooms were impeccable and clean. Staff were great as well. Appreciate all the effort they put in to make our stay great. Value for money indeed.

Before staying here, I spent two nights at Crimson, but the moment I arrived at Discovery Shores, I instantly regretted not staying here from the start. The staff are incredibly kind and always ready to help with a smile. The room was perfect, and the airport drop-off service was so thoughtful it almost brought me to tears a private boat and even a private bus! I felt completely safe and cared for the entire way to the airport. Thank you, Discovery Shores, for such a wonderful stay.

Very nice experience with Discovery Boracay. The staff are so courteous and respectful, jolly and respectful. Foods were delicious. our room, very spacious and clean with snack everyday. enjoyed our stay for 3 nights and its worth the price. Amazing and wonderful. Thank you

The Best Hotel Location for Boracay: *High Points: location on beach, pool attentive staff, driving Staff especially Ramon; white shuttle services to D Mall; Harry at checkin; *Low Points: the lack of prosecco for spritz at any bar, the children taking over running around the roof deck adult bar, the understaffed roof bar where staff needs to call to the main bar for each and every order, which is FAR; the fountains all rond the hotel which were DRY and EMPTY (similar in idea to Shangri-La nearby, by theirs are all running in perfect order); pool bar staff was not interested in making drinks at any time of day but WERE interested in setting up stations for ice, etc, instead of prioritizing guests; getting billed for coffees and juices in the "all inclusive breakfast" is a scam only because nobody informed us of the 10$USD per juice or coffee fee until we were ready to leave breakfast when staff presented us with the bill; lack of massage places within walking distance; we were 3 couples each with our own rooms but registration upon arrival took all of us to everyone's room instead of separating us-- there was no need of EACH of us to see the check in INSIDE the room of EACH of us... it was like herding cattle up and down stairs around the property for no reason; the really dirty shower glass doors; we confirmed checkout at 2PM but front desk called to collect us and our bags from 130 and I hadn't even showered yet--we felt rushed after confirming the 2PM checkout; sunset loud music for the young crowd starts to boom instead of european-style sunset Buddha Bar classical sundown music-- the loud boom and disco lights with 80's disco music daily start at the bar even before the sun has set spoiling the potentially romantic vibe *Unique Points: the incredible view which unfortunately is overgrown from lack of tree maintenance reducing greatly the sea visibility of all rooms; hotel prides itself on "in-room registration" which can never happen because their POS machines have no service in the rooms; front desk is very far away; great beach security staff; Harry deserves special mention for his attentiveness and professionalism; oversized teddy bears in each room take up a lot of space and render one pice of furniture unusable for the stay; the hand-written posit note from housekeeping next to my toothbrush that I -- out of 8 of us-- received an no others....this was weird because it was NOT on hotel stationery and was NOT consistent-- they singled only ME out to receive this message which was absolutely weird; breakfast vinegars were AWESOME, as well as daily changing specials, BUT if you liked something it was GONE the next day because the hotel rotates specialties every day.... they're all delicious

This is our second stay at discovery shores. I've never stayed anywhere else in Borocay. Why mess with perfection? The breakfast buffet is our favorite, it starts early and ends late, plenty of time for the 14 of us to gather and realize our intention for the day. This resort is the highlight of our year. Thank you, Discovery Shores for the impeccable service and amazing experience!

Beautiful property with exceptional service. The private beach is fantastic. We've been to Boracay many times and this stay was the best. The rooms are some of the best rooms in the Philippines. You will not regret your stay here. The only thing to improve if anything is a bigger pool. With all of the families, it gets pretty crowded, but you have a huge, pristine beach to hangout at too. Will definitely be back.

Staying at this property for the first based on the recommendation of a relative. My family has never been to Boracay so we relied on the recommendation. Location is great for peace and quiet. Far away enough from the busy and noisy Station 2. Facilities are good, but not without defects. Food is comparable with other similarly rated places. Service and attentiveness of the staff seems inconsistent. When we checked in. They told us that there is a complimentary foot cleaning. We requested one as soon as we got to our room. We waited for over half an hour for someone to come. When nobody did, we canceled it. First strike. Second strike is on our second night. We came front d'mall and my wife wanted a glass of Pandan water. We sat at a table not too far from the Bar. My wife waited for someone to approach her to ask if we want anything. After at least fifteen minutes without anyone coming to check on her, she got up to approach a server to ask for water. Our reservation is for 3 nights and four days. We are still at the property when I wrote this review and have one more night of stay. Just hoping our third night will be without any glitch. I know what I have shared as strikes may not be a big deal. However, it is better that we put it out there just an fyi and hope they are isolated cases or a very minor glitch on this otherwise facility that is considered a top notch place. Shoutout to the majority of the staff that always are ready to be of service with a smile.

wow. everything about this place was amazing! i would keep going back to this place if im ever at boracay. they arranged everything from transportation to their hotel and even departing their hotel. this was super super convenient. this made the experience goes so smoothly. once we got to our room, 2 bedroom suite, wow wow wow. the room was super spacious, comes with 3 bathroom!! and came with a pretty big pool! they had welcome treats ready for us, with complimentary snacks and drinks (includes san mig pale and light) they will refill the fridge... for free! we also ended up booking another bedroom suite, also amazing. same amenities. came with a smaller pool. and 2 bathrooms. still super spacious! we were out of most of the day. when we came back, both rooms were already cleaned. beds made. and they would even give us bed time treats. and put mats saying "sweet dreams" and left a note! hotel came with free breakfast at sands restaurant. breakfast had a variety of different kinds of food, all amazing! breakfast is from 0600-1000. it never felt like it was crowded. always lots of seating area. they also had a complimentary taho for the guests for breakfast! i thought that was super super nice. when we first arrived, we also arranged a boodle fight, everything was soooooo good! sands also has hh from 4-7pm! we also tried their italian restaurant, osteria forno! pretty good dishes but the pasta was only ok. we also checked out their rooftop deck. it had pool overlooking the ocean, as well as 3 jacuzzis. just nice to hang out here, chill, while having snacks and beer. i could go on and on about this place. it was amazing staying here. everyone, all the staff, from this place was amazing, super nice, super friendly, super outstanding! stay here! i highly recommended it. this resort is located in station 1.

This is my very first Yelp review ever. I probably would never have done this, but my recent trip to the Philippines was so extraordinary, that I am compelled. Before I begin, Naj Gunting, Manny (security), Jigs Aguire, Jhay (at the ocean bar), and everyone else at the Discovery Shores resort were instrumental in escalating a phenomenal guest experience into the type of experience that only rock stars are accustomed. The resort itself is a beautiful property, but the staff elevate the experience. You can see videos and photos of the resort, that's easy, but the feeling you get is indescribable. You are greeted at arrival with a refreshing beverage composed of calamansi and mint. Not to worry, you can get it at the bar if you ask. Pandan water flows freely at pool side and you can request to have some sent to your room. You must taste the pandan water. While on the subject, all of the water on the resort is filtered and safe for tourists. There is a steak house and Italian restaurant on the property, which I'm sure, are first class, but when in the Philippines, enjoy the local food. A few of my favorite dishes were, bacolod kansi, bicol express, all of the different fried rices, the many pancit, bistek tagalog. I have often laughed at halo halo. It just seemed ridiculous to me until I had halo halo at the Discovery Shores. I get it now. There is a tiny grill next to the property on the beach side called Gloria's where I had probably the best grilled squid of my life. If you are not into squid, have the grilled liempo (pork belly) and chori-burger. We chose the resort because of the sugar sand and sunsets, so literally everything else was a bonus. Naj hooked us up with local tours. Manny was always there. You turn around, and there's Manny looking after the guests. Jhay hooked me up with my fist aged negroni, and Jigs is an attentive host that goes the extra 100 miles. He actually has a spray sun glasses cleaner in his pocket. It actually became a joke, how many times he cleaned my wife's sunglasses. It does not matter if you stay in a regular room or a deluxe suite, the staff go out of their way to make it memorable.

I am very disappointed in Discovery Shores, Boraca, Philippines! Sure the hotel was nice, clean, & staff were accommodating. However, we were SCAMMED BY THE HOTEL EMPLOYEES. After our island boat ride tour, our tour guide very highly recommended a restaurant named SUGPA for lunch. The hotel van driver & our tour guide drove us to a very bad area to a hole in the wall restaurant SUGPA. We were nervous being in such a bad area. The food was not even good & we were charged $160 USD for 4 shrimp plates & a Lapu Lapu fish. We were not given a menu & they refused to quote us prices when we asked them. Several other hotel employees very highly recommended this restaurant. Our security was compromised bringing us to such a bad area. Shame on you! Next year we will be checking into the Shangrila. Great Place!!! I came here for Christmas Eve dinner which would surprisingly end up being where my fiance would propose to me so this place was magical to me. I wasn't staying at this resort so we traveled from our station via one of the "tok tok" tricycles. If you take the tricycle, they drop you off at the back of the resort so be prepared to walk up a steep hill and a lot of stairs. The resort was beautiful and the tables on the beach were beautifully decorated and lit. I do wish they had citronella candles going to keep the mosquitos away. The service was amazing from everyone! The food was buffet style with quite a few choices including a seafood bar, pasta bar, and other hot meats. I did develop a stomach ache after eating the food later that night, however, I cannot pinpoint where the stomach ache came from since I did have so many foods from the buffet. The pasta and shrimp were both amazing!! It was still a perfect evening and I would consider staying there if we come back to the Philippines to visit again. I hope this review helps you decide on where to stay and/or dine while in Boracay! :)

Came here with a group of friends as we were all here for a wedding. The hotel was beautiful and luxuries feeling! When we first got to our room, they asked if we would like a complimentary foot massage - they washed our feet and gave us a 5 min massage. The resort is on the beach so it's a super short walk from the hotel to the beach where you can lounge on the beach chairs to work on your tan. As you are sitting on the chairs, every hour the staff comes by with refreshments (water or pandan water), mist for your face and some cucumbers for eyes. Arriving at the resort is interesting as when you get to the airport, they will come get you to bring you over to their lounge, which they then take you on a boat to bring you over to the resort. You do have walk on the beach and almost into the water to get onto the boat. The staff will help time the waves for you to get on without getting wet (as least they try to). Then from the boat, you then unload, get into another van where it's a 10 min car ride to the resort.

Best Place to Stay in Boracay! From Arrival till Depature, the Customer Service was Remarkable! Free Transportation from the Airport to the Island, All the Staff were accommodating and always smiling, Food was awesome, the staff would give you food treats from time to time, they would spray you Evian ionizer on your face after a beach swim, they also fold your clothes and guard your stuff while you're at sea. You definitely get your moneys worth in this place. Highly recommended!

Beautiful place. It was my 2nd visit to Boracay and this time after the 6 months closure. The roads are still a mess as the works continue to happen. I'm glad to see many changes and definitely many signs that this island is on its way to full recovery. Discovery shores is a top notch! I enjoyed their service form day 1. I really like that I had a private transfer from Caticlan to the island. The staff were very accommodating. Will definitely stay there again! Good job, Discovery Shores!

Our group could not have been happier with our stay at Discovery Shores. Exemplary service! Staff was so friendly. Jigs and Jenil made sure we had everything we could have possibly needed. We cannot wait to come back. The resort was breathtaking. Boracay beach was prestine. Breakfast was delicious. Transfers to and from Boracay Island were included and went off seamlessly. It definitely was a trip to remember!

L I am writing you this OPEN LETTER based on what I have experience on your Hotel, I have been travelling and one of my passion is Travel Blogging. I haven't been home for almost 14 years in the Philippines since last month, I stayed in Boracay in a different Hotel which the service is highly admirable. I have read good reviews and High recommendations from my friends to stay in your Hotel, note that I am also from Kalibo Aklan and residing in the US For 14 years, I promise myself that when I come back this month of October I will stay and experience your hotel. Here comes the month of October I came home again to do a pleasure trip, I already travelled Manila, Cebu and Coron. I don't have plans to go back in Boracay soon hence, I remember my promise that I will go back and stay in your hotel as one of the premiere hotel in our Province and in the Islands, and to top that I have a good friend that he is also in the Island which I haven't seen for years. So here I am just got from a Cebu Trip ... Packed my bag and travel again to Boracay, I tried reaching the number in front desk but no answer at all but I just continue my journey. Luckily, when I came to the Island of Boracay I was gonna get a local ride but I saw a transfer. NO DOUBT that the Service is REMARKABLE. When I arrive in your property, I was greeted by one of your associate P. Ibarra at 3:30pm. Ms. Ibarra showed me the basic junior suites room which I ask her that if there's a room that I can upgrade cause I want to experience the best and I can't find a mini tub on the room which one of my favorite thing to do is soaking and relaxing. She showed me 2 rooms. The suite and the one with the loft. I fell in love with the loft I told her immediately and I'll pay for the upgrade fee, I waited for a while and enjoying. At around 4:25pm finally checked in to the new room. First thing that I wanna check out was the JACUZZI, hence the jacuzzi was not even warming up and to that some faucets are not working. I called the front desk and they are fast in service, but then I was informed that the jacuzzi can't be turn off because it was damage and if I will turn off it will not heat up? I didn't understand at ALL WHAT he is trying to say but I was already on my time schedule for dinner and appointment. The guest services people were highly recommendable so far, the best experience that I ever had in my life specifically the drivers and the greeters. At around 12am I went back to the hotel tired and exhausted. 2am in the morning I woke up due to the water sprinkling on my face and upper body. And I saw the AC water was already spreading all over and the whole floor was wet. I immediately called the Engineering Department and it took 2.5 hours before they responded and switch to another room. Following the Guest Relation Manager Melvin he apologize hence told me to give an extended late check out. I expected that because of the troubled that I have experienced, the extended late check out that was given to me will be not on my coverage. But to my surprised the front desk informed me that I need to pay for the late check out which is 12:40am. My point is, there is no consideration like A HERMES BAG IS A HERMES BAG I availed it so great service is expected NOT A DIVISORIA BAG like your hotel. Note I was so tired they should be the one initiating the apology not the customer. I felt that I was not taken care off. The apology is not sincere, the person is considered no affection or concerned to the guest. I am writing this not only because I felt extremely aggravated with all the hours wasted with my supposed relaxing and chill out stay with your hotel but most especially to make you aware of the excrescency of your hotel. Amazing resort! First class everything. I want to go back to this resort . Superb service. And that beach is so perfect. Powder white sand. Everything is perfect! Breakfast is ahmaaazing. And something about their fresh juice of the day makes each day extra special. I love how transport to station 2 is available at night during high tide. Can't wait to return!

Discovery Shore is back on business and their superior service is back on unlike the previous years that is was deteriorating! Kudos Discovery shore. Keep it up pre pandemic or post pandemic! We love discovery and Boracay so much!

I stayed here for two nights after my study abroad in Hong Kong and it was just what the doctor ordered. It has an amazing beachfront location away from the craziness of Station 2. The rooms are good size, comfortable and well equipped. They include transfers from Boracay Airport (you travel by private van and by sea, so it's about a half hour, give or take) Their included breakfast buffet is pretty limited but good. I was definitely satisfied. They have a good variety of Western and Asian dishes, so you're bound to find something you like. I have to stay that I have never been to a place that offers soft and crispy bacon. NEVER. Pretty awesome, if you ask me. The breakfast inclusion is VERY good value add, in my opinion. I have to add that their calamari appetizer KICKS ASS!!!!! The BEST calamari I have EVER had in my entire life! They have a very pleasant bar right off the beach, as well as tables, chairs, and chaise lounges on the beach...great place to have a drink and watch the sunset, or drink San Miguel and eat calamari. What REALLY makes this place fantastic is the staff. I have never been at a resort where everyone is so genuinely kind and warm-hearted. From the folks who serve you on the beach (they bring around complimentary appetizers later in the day), to the shuttle drivers, to the concierge, nothing you ask is too much, and they always go above and beyond. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. I have never been to The Philippines before, but the warmth and kindness of the people, both at the resort and on the island as a whole really touched my heart. HIGHLY recommend.

I highly recommend Discovery Shores if you're planning to stay in Boracay. Awesome and spacious rooms and Excellent Customer Service...as we're totally pampered.

The food server Cecilia from the breakfast buffet was rude. She kept ignoring our requests and she purposely did not clean our plates when our family ate there for two consecutive mornings. We asked three times for spoons and did not even bother to accommodate our request. The first morning, she was insisting us to sit somewhere else at the back even if we wanted to sit in front. She seemed always annoyed every time we ask her for something. She would always give us a mean look and were bumping onto us when we were at the buffet. Very very rude. We paid three expensive rooms for 4 days from this hotel and she did not provide a good customer service treated us like an outsider and not as guests. She needs to learn the rules of customer service etiquette.

We came here for a birthday dinner on the beach , the food was amazing and so was the service. Arleen took care of us and he was extremely kind.
