I booked a deluxe 2-bedroom cabin with Discovery Resorts at Cradle Mountain for my family of four. Check-in was swift and easy. However, we were asked to enter through staff entrance as there was a wombat waiting at the main entrance door to grab its food and vegetables sold at the reception area. It was really nice experience to bump into a wombat.||I was given King Billy Court 4 cabin, the unit with the most privacy as it is the last cabin at the end of the road among the four newly built cabins, the one which is closest to nature. The cabin was new, spacious in modern design. The sofa in the living room was very comfortable. The bathroom has heated floor, and bedrooms come with heated blanket. ||The kitchenette also looks new. However, the kitchen utensils were not complete, kitchenware like plates and bowls were limited and oven mitten was not provided, hence it was a little challenging to remove cooked food from the oven. This is the only downside of the stay. ||Overall, my family and I enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely return if we visit Cradle Mountain again.

Stayed in cabins for two nights in August. Staff were welcoming and friendly. |Cabins are amazing. Warm as toast, well appointed, comfortable and came with cheese and chocolates!|Bed was comfortable. The cabins are quite private with a fabulous ‘in the forrest’ feeling. |The reception has a little shop for necessities and the cabin kitchens are well appointed. |The bathroom is luxurious with a beautiful bath, and the shower pressure and water temperature perfect.|We were with friends who were in the next cabin and agreed the cabins were fabulous. Only feedback they gave was perhaps to have the TV on an arm so the screen could be more in line with the bed or couch. |I travel a lot and this accomodation is superb, highly recommended.

Fantastic location if visiting Cradle Mountain. We stayed in the deluxe cabins. These are tastefully decorated and well laid out. Our family of four loved sitting by the fire (electric) and watching the snow flurries over the vegetation. Staff at reception were always friendly, and seeing Pepper the wombat near reception was an exciting welcome for the kids. Will definitely be back. Suggest addition of washing machine and dryer to finish off the cabins as it can be a wet walk to the laundry. The accommodation is pricey and extras like this could help better justify the expense.

We stayed in one of the chalets. It was comfortable and fairly well equipped but not overly equipped. The room was comfortable. We didn't have a car so everywhere was quite a long walk. We had a spa room which was even further away so would recommend if you don't have a car maybe getting a room without a spa closer to the office. Overall a pleasant stay.

We stayed for 2 nights in mid August in a standard cabin. The staff at check-in were very helpful, and the shop very useful. The location was nice and it was just a short walk to the restaurant, which we loved. The cabin however was the worst place I have ever stayed at in Australia. I don't think the cabin has been renovated this century, and the ceiling was water-damaged throughout. There were three heaters, only one worked (though it did heat the cabin well). The vinyl tiles in the bathroom were damaged and lifting, and the corners of the shower were full of pink gunge. The beds were clean and comfy enough, but they were on rollers and were very easy to accidentally move, and when you did it revealed the thick layer of dust and dirt underneath. It wasn't until the 2nd night when I walked into the bedroom without shoes and realised that the carpet was wet. I assumed that the moisture absorbers in the bedrooms were for a leaking ceiling, but the carpet and bottom of the walls in the bedroom were just wet, not even near the window where water could get in. It didn't rain that much while we were there. So the beds themselves were clean and comfy, but the rest of our stay was wet and dirty. The park itself is nice enough, and the staff are nice, but it's just not worth it for the terrible accommodation. Even if this was a cheap cabin it wouldn't be acceptable, and it wasn't very cheap.

We camped in one of the powered sites and wish we’d stayed longer. Facilities were amazing and staff were great. Restaurant and sauna on site were bonuses, and only a short walk from the visitor centre and hikes. Definitely recommend.

This place is amazing, incredible cabins, and the restaurant… wow, (though book ahead, it’s worth it). The reception team are fantastic, it was our 20th wedding anniversary and they laid on something extra..(thank you). We will be coming back and next time staying longer..

We bushed camped, it was very wet & it constantly rained when we were arrived. But the amenities were amazing! The lounge and kitchen kept us out of the rain, the bathrooms were clean and constantly warm. The floors were heated! We had a crazy surprise waking up the following morning with complete white out & blankets of snow. Don't forget to pack snow gear!
