Discovery Resorts - Cradle Mountain

Stayed in a superior, 2 bedroom chalet that slept 6 people - 4 children in bunk beds in a room, and queen bed in another room. Spacious and well-maintained chalet, with a clean kitchen and comfortable living room in an open plan style. Bathroom was clean, pressure was high in the shower, and hot water arrived quickly. Smart TV in the living room, so could connect to streaming services. Wildlife came close to the chalet at night and in the morning. Only 2 other chalets close by in a court style layout, so was quiet throughout the day. Free milk provided for duration of stay was a nice touch. Cradle Mountain visitor centre just up the road, and a range of other activities close by. Would highly recommend.

Stayed in the deluxe spa chalet for two nights. The spa bath was amazing, with a great view to go with it out the window opposite. Bed was incredibly comfy with warm sheets. Heating worked an absolute treat to warm the chalet up in quick time. Lastly, the service and check in/check out process was great. I would stay here again.

Stayed in an unpowered site. Very roomy and secluded (but we got one of the better ones). Site had plenty of room for a small van, a swag and a car, with room to spare. Included a picnic bench. The powered sites didn't look as nice, a bit bare and open. The toilets and showers were brilliant. Very clean and roomy with good water pressure. The camp kitchen is great. Everything you need plus pizza ovens! Would return for sure.

Loved this place.|Peaceful.|Warm.|Close to Cradle.|We stayed in one of the cabins on King Billy Court. We arrived right before the office closed, and safely ensconced ourselves in the warmth of the little two bedroom cabin. We all slept well, then were up early to 'do' Cradle Mountain for the following day (which was AWESOME!) and had to wash the ice off the car before we left! No snow, but a gorgeous hike and a wonderful full day was had. |We rested in our warm cabin for a while before heading out to the nearby Hellyers Restaurant for dinner. Pricey but OMG delicious.|Slept like logs again that night - so quiet!|Sad to leave the next day.|Highly recommend.|The cabins are clean and compact without feeling cramped.

Perfect location close to the shuttle down into Cradke Mountain. Amazing amenities - 3 kitchens, one with a lounge area. Great toilets/shower facilities with great cleaning! Camp sites a bit weird. We had one we had to share with others from the other side which felt weird. Maybe a barrier halfway would help share the space. Insane wildlife seen here - saw an echidna whilst walking over to the shuttle! Great little shop too! And very friendly fellow campers. Great spot!

Our stay at Discovery Resorts – Cradle Mountain was unfortunately very disappointing, mainly due to the number of bugs inside the cabin. We expected some insects given the bush setting, but this went far beyond what felt reasonable. We found bugs inside the room, including in the bathroom and near the sleeping area, which made it very uncomfortable and hard to relax. At this price point, better pest control and cleanliness should be expected. The cabin itself also felt old and poorly maintained. It looked tired, with dated furnishings and signs of wear that made the space feel unclean rather than rustic. Combined with the bug issue, this gave the impression that the accommodation hasn’t been properly updated or thoroughly cleaned between guests. Heating was also inconsistent, which is a major issue in Cradle Mountain’s cold climate. While the surrounding environment and location are undeniably beautiful, the accommodation didn’t match the setting. Staff were polite but not particularly proactive when issues were raised, and overall the stay felt like poor value for money. Given the cost and expectations of staying so close to Cradle Mountain, we were left quite disappointed and would not choose to stay here again.

Visited this campground recently when we were visiting Cradle Mountain. The campsite is in a fantastic location - you can actually walk to the visitor centre from it !! Facilities were perfect, kept really clean and shower was lovely and hot :) laundry and driers worked well. We were in a motorhome on a powered site, and we got a good balance of luxury facilities without loosing the feeling of being in the wilderness ! Would recommend to anyone exploring Cradle Mountain :)

We had a great 4 night stay in a Spa Chalet during the busy New Years Period, but you wouldn't have known it was busy, it was so nice and quiet in our Chalet. The location is amazing, close to the Cradle Mountain Visitor Centre, Peppers Lodge with its many walks etc. The Restaurant (Hellyers) is also great, we had both lunch and dinner there once during our stay. Service at the reception was always friendly and helpful. The Chalet was super comfortable, great for self-catering as well. Excellent stay, thank you.
