Discovery Parks - Dubbo

Amazing experience! My 7 years old daughters and I spent 5 nights at the resort. The cabin was comfortable and had all the essentials for the stay. We all had a wonderful time, the place is fantastic, stuff is adorable and so many things and activities to do especially for kids. Both pools and the splash area were impeccable! Highly recommend!

Great cabins. Very clean and enough space for all! 2 pools and a bouncy pillow to keep the kids entertained. Great location and although it backs onto the highway, not very noisy, especially at night time.

We had a great experience at park. We saw how hard Justin and the team worked on a daily basis (in the heat!!) to keep all the amenities looking fab for an enjoyable stay. Our kids (13 to 7 yo) loved this park from the pool to the activities and the food trucks. I loved that staff took the time to know the kids names (they will remember ❤️). We wish you all the best in the coming year to make even more improvements to the park. It’s looking so good already! ||Touristy reasons to stay at this park:|- The Safari Park is right around the corner (tip: your ticket gets you in on consecutive days!!).|- It’s only a quick walk up the road for dinner at Club Dubbo (check the website for special nights and raffles).|- The golf club across the road does meals too but you need to book as they are popular!| - Main Street is just up the road too. Lots of speciality shops, including Myer.|- The Dubbo Gaol is in the Main Street and was the highlight of the trip for us. Make sure to check out for guided tour and the daily reenactment.

Limited utensils were available. There were three of us and only two sets of cutlery and plates were provided. The toilets were locked in the play area. The standard safari tent smelt unpleasant. On our second day we realised 6 pieces of now rotten pizza had been left in the microwave which hadn’t been checked by the cleaner. For our first ever stay in a Discovery Parks, it was a really disappointing experience. Considering the cost, you’d get better value from an AirBandB.

Room: Cabin Pros: - Pools and water slide - Close to the zoo - Rooms had decent selection of appliances Cons: - Rooms were pretty run down - door hardware broken, dirty walls, toilet struggled to flush - Negative experience with staff member Overall: Not much to pick from in Dubbo when you have kids so I would recommend on that front. Close to the zoo and town centre. Rooms could be updated and maintained better.

Stayed in a powered site with an ensuite which was clean enough. The shower was awesome. Our stay was in the winter so very cold. Would like to try in the warmer months.

Family of 4, we recently stayed for a few days and had the best time. The cabins are very clean and everything is provided, the pool area and kids areas were amazing, the kids had the best time. The staff were so kind and lovely. We would highly recommended this park for all families travelling to Dubbo. Such a wonderful park and friendly environment

We stayed in cabins which were clean nicely renovated on the inside. Very impressed with staff and the facilities at the park. We received a text letting us know cabins was ready and could check in around 12pm which was a great feature as we were in Dubbo already. Pool area was great and perfect for all ages.
