Discovery Parks - Port Hedland

Not the best discovery park we visited on our trip during the lap. Narrow streets and campsites. Luckily, we had a camper trailer. With a large caravan, it's quite difficult to maneuver into the pitch, especially if the pitch opposite is occupied. Very noisy at night due to the industrial area. The facilities are okay, but could be improved. There is a small playground for kids what's a bonus. Camp kitchen well equipped. Short walk to the beach. Beware of the jellyfish 🪼

Stayed one night on a powered campsite. Staff were very helpful and friendly and the facilities were excellent. Airconditioning in the ablution block in October is a godsend, as is a pool. However can only give 3 stars overall due to the cramped set out of the park. The roads are extremely narrow, making getting even a Jayco camper trailer in quite a challenge!

beats me why this Caravan Park has a 3.4 star rating, we found this park fantastic, clean amenities, very friendly staff, great pool, laundry large with plenty of cloths line space. Yes the roads are narrow BUT I would rather take a few extra minutes to reverse into a site than to have dirty amenities and rude staff like many of the Caravan Parks we have stayed at. This Caravan Park deserves "5 Stars"

It's a pretty average caravan park. But that's what one would expect in an outback mining town. They have crammed in as many campers as they can into the park. The amenities are average except for the showers. The soap dispenser was broken and generally it was pretty grotty. They ironically ask you to think clean while haveing a shower and yet it's the opposite for their cleanliness. And the trains! Why put a camp ground near the ore trains. What gives it the 1 star is the showers. Don't stay here it's not nice.

Some older style cabins but some are new and make for a lovely stay. The park is lovely, with beach views, staff are friendly. A great place to stay.

Staff were incredibly helpful 🤩, but the site was crowded with limited privacy. The beach made up for it, though! Just 3 minutes from the campground, it's perfect for dog owners And the trees in the ocean? Absolutely breathtaking! ⭐️

Sadly the caravans are crammed in as an after thought. Staff helped us get on our site but if the people across from us didn't leave on the same day we would have struggled to get out. Also, both toilet blocks were closed at times as they were deep cleaning one block and the other was also closed for cleaning.

This park used to be great, before Discovery took over. Now it's run down and impersonal. The team used to send a person to site with you and help direct you onto site. Now the office staff just give you a gate key and leave it to you. There is also no local information provided, as there always was in the past.

Very warm pool. A bit rough bin day 6.30 Monday morning. Plenty of bins so you didn't have to walk far to get rid of rubbish. In this part of town cold tap warm enough to have shower with out turning on hot tap this could be a health hazard if you burn yourself they should look into this. Close to the beach. Walking distance to pretty pool.
