We spent Christmas at Discovery Parks Swan Valley with family visiting from the eastern states, and it was honestly the perfect choice. The park was clean, well-maintained, and had a great relaxed atmosphere - ideal for a family stay over the festive period. The cabins were comfortable and well set up, and the facilities made it easy for everyone, from kids to adults, to enjoy themselves without feeling crowded or stressed. The location is fantastic too, being close to the Swan Valley wineries and attractions, but still peaceful enough to feel like a proper getaway. Our visiting family loved it, and it made Christmas together feel extra special. A great spot for families, group stays, and holiday catch-ups. We have actually already booked abother 2 nights and would recommend it to anyone looking for a laid-back, family-friendly place to stay in WA.

Stayed at Discovery Parks for holiday and definitely recommend. The staff were friendly and really helpful. The site was easy to navigate and clean and the pool was great fun. The unit was clean and spacious and has everything we needed. Great location to get places and good parking. Quiet at night too! Great place for family holiday. Really enjoyed stay and wish it has been longer.

Unfortunately, we did not have a good stay. We paid for the most expensive cabin (deluxe) and were very disappointed with the condition and comfort provided. The cabin only had one air-conditioning unit located in the living area, which was completely insufficient to cool the bedrooms during peak summer. My son did not even have a fan in his room and was extremely uncomfortable throughout our stay. There was also a significant pest issue. Ants were in our food (resulting in wasted groceries), in our bed, and all over our toothbrushes, along with cockroaches present in the cabin. This was very unpleasant and unhygienic. Cleanliness was also below an acceptable standard. We found a meat pie wrapper and an apple core under the couch, which indicates the cabin had not been properly cleaned prior to our arrival. For a cost of over $300 per night, we expected a much higher standard. Additionally, the cabin was only serviced once in a 10-day stay, which further added to our disappointment. Overall, the experience was uncomfortable and well below expectations. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.

Couldn’t have chosen a better place for a stay. The rooms were of a very high standard. Super clean, fresh and very comfortable. Staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way for me. The location is in a peaceful area, but not far from the shops and restaurants, with a french bakery literally next door that does great coffee and food. Undercover parking and fast wifi too. Definitely recommend!

The site was the best site I visited over the past week staying at 4 sites that were scoring 4.5 and above. I do not understand how this site is now only 4.1, perhaps due to historical factors. But for sure, my stay was awesome, ensuite toilets well stocked with good amenities and the place was quiet and conducive for children. I was briefed to drive only at 5km/ hr for the kids safety. The site was spacious, every parks were spaced away from each other and the entire place was quiet at the evening. Maybe just one thing they need to work on is to extend the wifi signal to the farthest ends, that’s the only smallest gap

We have been G'Day Parks members for many years and been coming to Swan Valley Discovery Park for a few years regularly now as we use it as a stopover for fly in and fly out days because of the location and amenities. We have tried all the different accommodation styles and locations within the park so we very familiar with what we want when we book. We realise that you can not always be guaranteed that you will get what you ask for which is why alternatives are provided in a polite online request. Several times before we politely requested certain accommodation styles or alternative for stay well in advance with online booking, which should have been easy to manage due to the timeframe but unfortunately not, which was frustrating but do-able at the time. Recently we had a very special occasion coming up with elderly parents we have not seen for a very long time coming from over east for a visit, so we knew the cabin and location we wanted to book due to several comfort factors taken into consideration. To make sure we that we get the specific cabin or alternative for the dates we wanted it we decided to book over the phone way in advance to make sure the number was confirmed. Luck was on our side and the cabin we wanted was available for our dates so we got confirmation on our first choice for dates we had. However on the day of arrival we were advised that people in the cabin we were confirmed to be booked in decided to extend so we were moved to a different cabin which was opposite to what we requested? When we requested an explanation we were advised that no booking preference is ever guaranteed, this even after we were verbally confirmed over the phone the dates and number of cabin? When we asked why the people whom wanted to extend could not be moved to another cabin as we have booked and confirmed this cabin months in advance we were advised that it would have been an extra cleaning fee so it was easier to just move our booking? When we said that we just needed a moment to decide if we wanted the cabin now booked in, we were rudely told with a smirk on the face, upon return by one of the staff that she had already sold the cabin again? We advised we never cancelled the booking upon which she flung the keys over to my partner, which was demeaning to say the least. We alternatively ended up having to book the elderly parents into another establishment, seperate from us, which was an extra expense and expensive due to short notice, but which provided all the comfort reasons we booked the original cabin. Had we known this prior would we have cancelled the booking in advance and booked in somewhere else more suitable to our needs. So what should have been a very special and memorable occasion ended up being memorable for different reasons all because of an extra cleaning fee, which we would have gladly paid. I hope that management and reception realise what a huge impact a simple request not met and in way that it was not met can have on making an experience memorable in a positive or negative way. There is no reason to make a paying guest feel degraded because of a simple request just because you feel entitled due to your control of the keys.

The location is good and the camp kitchen has most things that youll need. Like a fridge and freezer, microwave, bbq and stove. There are also charging ports in the camp kitchen, so you dont need a powered site if you dont want one. The toilets are clean and there is a pool for the sites vistors.

We booked a 2 bedrooms cabin. When we first arrived, the master bedroom had a rather strong weird old rag odour. Went back to reception and mentioned this, but both staff said rooms were fully booked and there wasn’t anything they could do about it. Thankfully there was another staff at the back who offered to help, and came to the room to use anti-odour spray. Though it helped, smell persisted, and the odour was so bad we ended up not using the room at all. Other than the odour, everything else was fine. Location was great. There was a small playground and a very small pool within the estate.
