Discovery Parks - Swan Valley

The site was the best site I visited over the past week staying at 4 sites that were scoring 4.5 and above. I do not understand how this site is now only 4.1, perhaps due to historical factors. But for sure, my stay was awesome, ensuite toilets well stocked with good amenities and the place was quiet and conducive for children. I was briefed to drive only at 5km/ hr for the kids safety. The site was spacious, every parks were spaced away from each other and the entire place was quiet at the evening. Maybe just one thing they need to work on is to extend the wifi signal to the farthest ends, that’s the only smallest gap

We booked a 2 bedrooms cabin. When we first arrived, the master bedroom had a rather strong weird old rag odour. Went back to reception and mentioned this, but both staff said rooms were fully booked and there wasn’t anything they could do about it. Thankfully there was another staff at the back who offered to help, and came to the room to use anti-odour spray. Though it helped, smell persisted, and the odour was so bad we ended up not using the room at all. Other than the odour, everything else was fine. Location was great. There was a small playground and a very small pool within the estate.

There is a reason this place is the cheapest in Perth! Managment is very poor. They have rooms for addicts and dv cases and one of them stole my property from the camp kitchen. I have overheard the caretaker belittling other employees on several occasions. Caretaker threw out my towel while I was at the shop getting supplies. Not yo mention you need a packed lunch and a watter bottle to get to the toilet block! Take your own kitchen ware as the camp kitchen has nothing in it anymore. Previous management had it fully stocked. Take plenty of mossie repelent in spring and summer as there is a drain and a small river close by the mossies will take small children away lol. Its not actually in the swan valley! But its close to a rough neighbourhood! The only good thing about this place was the lovely ladies in reception! Head to another park is my advice!😀👌

Great spot within the Swan Valley. Pet friendly, clean rooms, good facilities. When we arrived our room wasn't ready but the staff were apologetic and got the room nice and sparkly!! Pets allowed which was a bonus. Will come again thank you!!

We stayed in a 2BR Cabin (room 209) and it was old and poorly maintained. Room with bunk bed was very dusty, we were sneezing whenever we entered. There's no water mixer in the toilet so water was either too cold or too hot - we had to manually mix the water and bathe from a tub. Not recommended to stay with children. Toilets had lots of black/brown splotches across the door frame. 2 stars for the convenient location

Staff are very welcoming, friendly and very helpful. Thank you! Love staying here, so clean and fresh in the spacious cabins, separate, bedroom, bathroom and toilet...everything you need , for one night or several nights. Great value. Not forgetting, beautiful white and crisp linen.. Very comfortable for our stay.. Looking forward to our next stay.

If you want any sleep past 7am AVOID!! Thier campervan sites are directly on the kids playground, within 2m of your site (Terrible Planning). Everyone loves kids playing, but not every morning at the crack of dawn. Parents leaving kids unsupervised to go and play/scream next to someones else home/site, is unresponsible and unfair on other guests. The park should do more to ensure all guests have a relaxing restful stay, but this doesnt seem to be the case. WOULD NOT RECOMMEMD!!

We had a motorhome site and 2 bedroom cabin- both were great! The site was a good size and had a concrete pad with some grass. Amenities were great and clean. The cabin was very nice and had a big shower,bathroom with separate toilet- even had an oven. Staff were very nice and helpful- even when i stuffed up dates. Swan valley is a beautiful suburb not far from anything.
