Absolutely fantastic little bistro. Inside you'll find a small dining room with a super cozy atmosphere, a great setting for a date or a relaxed dinner. The staff you'll meet are extraordinarily kind, friendly and attentive. The menu is not huge, but every option looked amazing - there were several dishes I would come back to try. Everything we did get was delicious! And best of all, the portions are VERY generous! Many entrees come with a side salad or a side of bread as well. We really enjoyed our experience and would highly recommend!

We had such a DELICIOUS meal at Dish with the most hospitable and kind server. His recommendations were incredible - bison/bacon burger and the veggie burger. The seasonal summer salad will leave your mouth watering as well. Don’t miss dining at this incredible restaurant!!

Chef Tina makes excellent food with clear love for what she's doing. Pretty much everything is made from scratch and with top notch ingredients. The bison bacon burger is great...and the fries are to die for! Save room for the bread pudding with a bourbon ice cream!

This place was a great find! We didn’t want to spend a fortune on dinner, so we gave this place a try. We will always come back to this spot on every trip. Welcoming, and excellent service. Delicious food in huge portions you’re likely to take home for a perfect midnight snack! We had the butter chicken, and the Ahi in spicy-creamy sauce; both were fantastic. The place doesn’t look like much, but the kitchen is churning out awesome dishes!

I never usually leave reviews but this place is the best. The atmosphere, hospitality and the food are amazing! I got the bison burger and the donut! I would highly recommend it and can’t wait to visit again.

Had an incredible meal with my family here, wish we were staying in Mammoth longer so we could come again. Quality ingredients with unique flavor combinations that were perfectly balanced. Even my parents, who aren’t adventurous eaters, finished everything on their plates. Staff is knowledgeable and wonderfully friendly. Cannot wait to come back!

I wish I could give this place 6 stars. Am I being dramatic to say this is the best restaurant in Mammoth? Don't think so. We stumbled into Dish Bistro on a whim during a little snow storm. Wasn't expecting anything crazy ... but I SHOULD HAVE BEEN! This is the cutest little restaurant with only a few tables. It looks like a French Cafe / ski town tavern. We have the lamb burger (incredible) and the lamb curry (also incredible). Can't forget to shoutout the waiter who is the friendliest guy in the world and really seems to love his job! Can't wait to tell our friends about this spot and to come back. Walking in here literally felt like a fever dream!

Stopped here last month during my first visit to Mammoth Lakes. The food, the service, the ambiance was awesome. Can't say anything bad about this place. It would be worth a 2nd visit the next time we are back in town.

A local's favorite where they welcome visitors. We love the food, each time the menu is different but everything has been excellent. I can't pick a favorite between the beef eggplant and the mushroom ravioli. My husband raves about the bison bacon burger. The salad has fresh berries. Dessert is not to missed whatever it is. The service is super friendly. The chef owner is so friendly. The vibe is casual, a little European bistro feel, comfortable not divey.

Great go-to place in Mammoth when you want a hearty, yummy, juicy burger! The $20 price tag for a burger might feel steep but it is definitely worth it. Come hungry and you'll be squared out. My husband ordered their Bison burger with french fries and loved it!! Their fries area really good! I ordered the burger with onion rings and fried cheese curds in it (yes, fried cheese curds!) and balanced it out with a salad instead of fries and honestly for me, can not rave more about the salad. Fresh, the vinaigrette was so good and the berries a perfect pop in a stifling day. The service was also very friendly and fast and overall the place has such a nice, good vibe to it so we will definitely be back the next time we're in town :)

tldr; cozy limited seating, amazing food and service. Came here on the strength of the reviews of this place. I had originally intended to order the popular Bison Burger, but it seemed that they were having an alternate Sunday Brunch menu. Undeterred, I got seated and perused the menu. Service was attentive and checked in on me frequently. Meanwhile, I was served: * Coffee - 4.5/5 - this surprised me, it's just regular drip coffee, but very nicely made. Decided on the Pork Belly scramble. * Pork Belly Scramble - 5/5 - amazing! Portion is very large. The eggs are more of a fried style which I normally dislike compared to actual scramble, but it came paired with a salsa that matched it perfectly! Pork belly hash is delightfully spicy and savory! Overall a pleasant surprise! I wasn't expecting too much given the somewhat spare ambiance, but the service and food quality is astounding. Definitely a must try if you can get a reservation in advance.

My family has eaten here twice. It is a cute little place just across the road from the Von's supermarket. The food is enjoyable, with delicious salads that come with almost every meal. I don't know how they have such good, fresh berries in the salad in the middle of December, but I did enjoy them. Last time I went, I had the burger and fries. The bun on the burger was a little too dense for my taste, but overall it was good, and the fries were amazing. I'm fairly certain we'll visit again next time were in Mammoth.

Places with a 5* rating on Yelp are rare, and the food there is usually outstanding. That's exactly what happened at Dish Bistro - my new favorite place in Mammoth. First of all, it doesn't feel touristy at all, I would assume the percentage of locals coming here is way higher than any other place on Main St or in the Village. The room is not huge, maybe 20-30 seat total, and very cozy. But most importantly - the food was as good as it gets. I had Lamb and Potato Curry, and it was so perfectly executed that I couldn't think of a better way of doing it. My gf also enjoyed her chicken dish a lot. Will be back for sure every time I'm in Mammoth - super good when it comes to literally every aspect of a great meal.

After we arrived in Mammoth we decided to tool around the downtown areas of mammoth. My hubs found this place on Yelp of course. It was a charming, intimate spot with cute chairlift seats covered in lambs wool, very clever. The menu was up on the wall on a chalkboard. The first thing I noticed was how small the selection was and I Loved that! I have always found the smaller the menu, the better the food will look and taste. We were starving so we ordered quickly and only a few guests were there. Nice! I ordered the beef cheeseburger and Joe got the lamb burger. They served them with a knife right in the middle, super cool! The salad blew me away. First, it looked just beautiful and so fresh, the blueberries tasted like they just picked them in the garden, Yummy! I didn't even use much dressing because it tasted incredible just the gorgeous way it was served. The gal that was waiting on us was really sweet and helpful with news about the town and the art community. Oh and if you wanted beer or wine they allow you to go next door and bring it back. Joe went over to get a beer but the surcharge was outrageous to bring it over so he passed. The lemonade was epic as it's my favorite drinky. Definitely go to this amazing place. Loved and loved.

This place was deceptively good. They have a limited menu, but everything is made with love. I know, I know that sounds cheesy, but you have to try it to know what I'm talking about. Both the pesto chicken sandwich and bison burger were amazing. They were made with fresh ingredients and perfectly seasoned. The bison burger was freshly ground with just the right amount of condiments on an amazing bun, served with a very fresh salad. Service was friendly and casual and we were told we could buy beer from the brewery next-door and bring it over. Yes!!!

Walked in and were asked to wait. There were two servers chit chatting with guests on two different tables. I guess all the other empty tables were reserved. We waited patiently while they continued to chit chat. 7 minutes go by and both servers disappeared into the kitchen. We looked at the menu and enjoyed the delicious aroma from the kitchen. Finally, the male server came out to speak to us, only to let us know they are all booked up until later in the evening. The next open table was close to two hours later. I'm baffled why and how neither of them couldn't tell us that from the beginning. How did this place get excellent reviews? One star for the poor communication and my family left feeling disrespected and disappointed. I'm guessing the food is good, but will never know.

Initially chose the place so we can try their mussels but shortly after we placed our order, chef came out and apologized and said she didn't have the mussels but offered a complimentary pork belly bites. We ordered the butter chicken and the bison bacon burger Pork belly was so tender and flavorful it did not disappoint! The butter chicken is also deliciously incomparable! The smell hits you right away as soon it comes out the kitchen and they are not shy with the portion either, holy smokes it was a lot of food. The bison bacon burger?! DELICIOUS! bacon is thick and crispy and with melted brie cheese?! HEAVEN! Do not judge the exterior of this place, the food is amazing and the chef is, well...a freaking wizard ;-)

Ok, That's five stars when they're open. We love this place but it shows being open on Google so when we show up with guests; they're actually closed. We also called and the recording stated they were open. One of the best restaurants in Mammoth but we sure would appreciate it if they could update their hours. I just hated to let our guests down after bragging about how good this place is. Apparently Yelp shows the correct hours.

This place is adorable with excellent food and super friendly and helpful service. Can't wait to return and try the rest of the menu. We got the butter chicken and the muscles with frites. Both were great. Their naan bread and frites were well-seasoned (not overly done or too salty) and my personal favorites. The server was so friendly, knew a ton about wine, and made excellent selections for us. Highly recommend.

The reviews here are accurate. They are this highly rated for a reason! The vibe is cute & cozy, the service is great & food is delicious & fresh. Their curry dishes are layered in flavor, relatively light & unique. The chef came out & greeted us and she was super sweet! Try it if you are local, you won't regret it!

Incredible quality food! Love the dietary and health options. Breakfast was delicious! Cute spot. So lucky we found this spot after figuring out it wouldn't work out to eat at The Stove with a large group. Really happy we found this place. We came with a group of 16. We took up pretty much the whole place. The whole inside can probably fit 18 people with a small outdoor table. Owner and staff were really nice. Love the brisket bacon brie sandwich (mine was customized without brie)! The patty was really flavorful. Looking forward to stopping by this place everytime we are in Mammoth again.

27 Mar 2021 Wonderful local business churning out food with love. Quaint mountain space doesn't look like much from the outside, but this place is full of charm. Will be returning on future visits. By the numbers: Food 5/5 Service 5/5 Ambiance 4/5 Value 5/5 Breakfast sandwich - Excellent. Medium egg, bacon, and melted cheese on a croissant roll is savory and hits the spot. Fresh side salad with vinaigrette and twice baked potatoes top it off.

Best burgers in mammoth! The Veggie and the Buffalo are my favorites, both are extraordinary. Friendly service and consistently excellent food. And some delicious Indian dishes too, a rare find on the eastside :-)

This place is absolutely phenomenal! As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by a small but exciting menu posted on the blackboard behind the counter. What's so great is that the menu changes regularly, showcasing the chef's delightful creations. Trust me, you won't be disappointed with her creativity and the extra special seasoning she puts into every dish. It's a culinary adventure you won't want to miss!

Went to Dish Bistro for lunch because our regular restaurant was overwhelmed and parking was nil. Wait, a salad and bison burger was $22.00. I went with it. Wow. The Caesar salad that came with the gourmet burger (Bison, Brie and Bacon) was the size of Mt. Whitney. It could have be a meal in itself. The dressing was fantastic, scratch made and world class balance. The Burger was large almost overwhelming, but oh so good. If I had known I would have split this with my wife. A great meal. My wife got the veggie burger and like it. Also on her plate was two pound of potatoes. She loved it. If this place is open for dinner, next year, I'm there.

Sadly I cannot rate for anything but service. We never had opportunity to try because we arrived 9:10, (could have gone earlier by the way, well before closing time listed,10:00pm, 9:10, to a close to full restaurant, to be sent away, being told they close at 9:00.

Food was great but the service was lacking a bit. We waited more than half an hour from the time we ordered our food to the time it was placed on our table (3 people). The falafels were delicious and the mushroom ravioli were also great. Portions were generous but not over the top - Quality vs quantity. My only suggestion to the owner is to train serving staff to let people know that "dinner is taking a little longer than normal this evening" (for whatever reason).

Holy wow!!!!! Okay...... so straight up.... The wait CAN be long.... But make NO MISTAKE it will be worth it!!!!!! The chef is a freaking WIZARD!!! Hands down best curry I've ever had.... One of the best burgers I've ever had... And the BEST CAKE IVE EVER HAD IN MY WHOLE LIFE. Cannot say enough good things about this place. Like I said... you might wait a while but it will be worth it 100%. We absolutely loved our waiter GMac! What a sweet man!

I cannot say enough good things about this place. I had what might be the best salad I've ever had in my life. And it's just what came with the burger! Pea pods, blackberries, strawberries, carrots and on and on. My wife and I both had the lamb burgers and they were exceptional. She had to make a few changes because she doesn't do dairy and they were happy to accommodate her. They had a surprisingly large - for a small place - selection of beers, wines and interesting cocktails. I had an "All American Cliche" which was super creative and very refreshing. We sat outside and enjoyed the view of the mountains. Our server was helpful, friendly and efficient. You really need to come to this place

5 Stars for a Reason! First off, the bacon bison burger is the best burger I've ever had. We sat next to a regular and he agreed. The mushroom ravioli was perfect for mushroom lovers + freshly grated Parmesan! We also had the spicy pork belly bites as an appetizer and those were to die for!! (Especially for heat lovers). 10/10 recommend anytime u find yourself in mammoth!

I'm visiting Mammoth and of course, had to turn to Yelp for food recommendations. This restaurant has a 5 stars average rating so we had to try it, and it did not disappoint! We ordered the Mac and cheese brisket sandwich which was so huge that they split it into two plates for my kids and we still had leftovers! The bison burger was delicious too. Both dishes came with a side of salad. The lemon custard donut dessert was good too. The staff was friendly. This is a local business we were happy to support.

WOW! My FAVORITE spot to eat in Mammoth Lakes. The grilled cheese was by far the BEST grilled cheese I've ever tasted. The various cheeses and the bread were perfect. The sandwich was also served with pickles that were the perfect touch. Went with my boyfriend for lunch and we were so satisfied with our meals. We were literally talking about our food for the following two days. It was so good that we wanted to back before we headed home but unfortunately they were closed. We were so sad but definitely looking forward to returning on my next vacation!

We found our go to dinner place in Mammoth Lakes. The food is cooked fresh by Chef Tina who is one of the best Chefs I've had the privilege to meet, besides my guy. The restaurant has limited seating so Chef Tina and staff are able to offer you the best intimate experience in service, food, and all around ambience. You feel special in this place and everyone is so friendly. One great thing Chef Tina did for us was to hold the restaurant kitchen open on our first night there so we could eat. We didn't know things closed so early and she was and is just the nicest person. She told us she was taught to never turn down a hungry guest and we were for sure hungry. The food was so delicious, we made sure to go back out last night in town so we could end everything well. I will tell you the cook in the food was consistently delicious. We were and are so happy to have a special place in Mammoth for a nice dinner.

But I thought this is a very unique and beautiful restaurant. It's a small place, but what makes it beautiful is the personalized service. You realize that they actually care to give you a good experience.. The menu is simple, but exceptional. The Chef actually wants to treat you to an amazing dish. We came two days in a row back to back in between the two of us enjoyed four of their dishes. Each one of them was exceptional. I'm extremely well made. I'm not too sure. I can say that about any other place in Mammoth. This is a Place we will be coming very often and I highly recommend enjoyed before they have a two hour waiting list six months from now :-)

We regularly come up to Mammoth but this is the first time we have dined at Dish Bistro. We decided to try it last night after reading some reviews online. Our experience was 5 star all around. All the food we ordered was delicious and definitely made from scratch. The presentation of the food was very pleasing to the eye as well. It has a fun ambiance and the staff is very hands on and very attentive to the customers. The owner / chef, Tina, checked in with every table in the time that we were there. It is a small space that only seats 20 people so you may have to wait, but the wait will be well worth it! We will definitely be back. Thank you Tina and staff for a wonderful evening!

What a treat this lovely little spot is! Bison burgers are really delicious! Fresh leafy greens made me so happy! A charming and intimate little mountain restaurant that makes you feel like you're in the Swiss Alps. The owner and staff are so friendly and attentive!!

Tina and her team are amazing. We love Dish for their salads and unique menu offerings! We will always visit Dish whenever in Mammoth. It's a secret that is hard to let out and at the same time happy for Tina's success! Go early or expect to wait. They will always do their best to seat you.

We got here at 5pm on a Tue and snagged the last table for 2. While we were there several parties were turned away and others waited. Friendly service and owner/chef checked on us. Small menu, wine list but adequate for our taste. The food was incredible --hence the 5* review. We shared a lamb burger and house salad x2 as well as their lamb curry stew. Burger was awesome--huge amount of perfectly cooked high quality lamb--fresh bun--lots of feta cheese, onions, etc. The lamb curry stew was to die for. Lots of lamb and the curry sauce was so good I was tempted to lick the bowl. Good size meals so no dessert and the price was good value especially for mammoth. we will be back

This is a true gem! The food is outstanding and you can tell how much care goes into each dish. The service is super friendly and you can immediately that the chef/owner takes careful attention to the details and presentation. I have been here twice before this review and will be making it more of a habit to come here more often. Previously I have had the bison burger, which is one of the best burgers I have ever had. This time, I had lunch with a friend and we shared the goat salad and the mushroom ravioli. They were so kind to split the dishes and the servings were generous and amazing. If your looking for more of an intimate setting with amazing (have I said "amazing" enough?) food this is the place.

Man! I am so upset that I don't live in Mammoth to come back for that Bison B&B. For the past 10ish years the best burger I ever had was in LA and I now live in SF and have never been able to find one on its' level. Well, we have FOUND IT. The Bison B&B is now easily the best burger I've had. It's cooked to perfection, so juicy, has the perfect amount of jammy and tangy sauce and plenty but not too much cheese. You can still actually taste the meat itself and it is phenomenal quality beef. We also thoroughly enjoyed the Mac n' Cheese Brisket- the brisket was soooo good and the BBQ sauce served with it absolutely puts it on the next level. Couldn't help but tell everyone in mammoth to immediately go get this burger before the line is down the

The food here was excellent! I had the cod with mash potatoes and side salad, and my husband had the Greek burger. Everything was delicious and the portions were very generous.

Food here is great, service was fantastic. Wine menu needs a lot of work, little too sweet and acidic for my palate. Lift chair idea is esthetically appealing, but incredibly uncomfortable, terrible idea. And fur or fake fur seats are incredibly unsanitary by the way. Cod was fantastic, little too much butter on the potatoes, but the flavor still hit the mark. Caesar was great, pretty generic though. Side salad was incredible, super fresh and flavorful. Menu didn't seem to change at all the two weeks I was there. I wanted more options to be able to keep coming back. More seafood or a pork dish would have been nice. Still, by far one of the best spots in town though. Don't miss out.

The cod and mash was awesome!!!!!! Bit different than what I was expecting, but waaaaay BETTER! The service was friendly, chill atmosphere!

The food is absolutely amazing. We ordered the cod, mushroom ravioli, bison burger, butter chicken, and lemon cake. Everything was delicious. The staff was also very kind. The chef came out and asked how our food was and even came to wish me happy birthday after hearing the restaurant singing happy birthday. Thank you for giving me such a wonderful birthday dinner!

My manager had originally recommended this place to me and after our first dinner there, we became HOOKED. Their ambience is very nice! Felt like a mixture of being in a warm cabin with old-school cafe decorations and Mammoth adventure-related art and furniture. The food was a whole other level. Even now after having gone there two days in a row with my wife, I am drooling just thinking about their food and wishing for more. For lunch, we had a great butter chicken and beautifully crafted AND delicious goat and greens salad (plentiful with greens and fruits alike - and SO aesthetically pleasing). The portions for each item on the menu are fantastic and you will not be leaving still hungry. The next day, we came back for dinner and decided to get the Pork Belly Bites appetizer and the Cod and Mashed Potatoes (comes with delicious side salad too). Let me tell you, these two items had to be some of the best food I've eaten - like ever. Those belly bites were so finger-licking good! Each time we went, the service was top-notch and the cooking staff including the head chef were always willing to come greet the customers and ask how things were. They are all so kind and you can tell how much passion they have for their excellently plated, seasoned and cooked foods. The head chef even personally asked us if we'd like the cod and potatoes to be split into two plates for us and the waitress even gave us some free bread to go with it. The cod and potatos were so delicious by the way! They melted right in your mouth with so much flavor. We decided to end with a chocolate mousse dessert which was also quite delicious and we got to catch a beautiful Mammoth sunset! There's no experience quite like eating here! I highly recommend it!

Tina allowed my daughter to host her wedding rehearsal dinner at Dish Bistro. Tina created the best selection of Mediterranean dishes - fish, lamb, etc. I love her cozy place, regular menu items and her special items. This is a great addition to our small town.

By far, the best chef in Mammoth right now. Her food is fresh, well thought out, and extremely tasty. The lamb burger for lunch is incredible, butter chicken for dinner is perfect and flavorful, and the fresh lemon curd donuts are by far the best dessert in town. From one classically trained chef to another, well done Dish Bistro!
