Disini Villas

We had a wonderful stay at Desini Villas. The villas are beautifully designed, private, calm, and immaculately maintained. Everything worked exactly as it should. The staff were thoughtful and attentive without ever being intrusive, and the overall feeling was one of ease and care, the kind of place where you can truly relax and settle into your holiday. One of the unexpected highlights of our stay was the gentle presence of the local cats who live around the villas. They are part of the neighbourhood rather than “owned” pets — quiet, respectful, and clearly familiar with people. Feeding them became a small daily ritual for us and added a surprising amount of meaning to our time there. It costs very little, but it makes a real difference. If you’re staying here and enjoy animals, I’d encourage you to bring a little cat food or pick some up locally — even sharing small leftovers from breakfast makes an impact. And if the villa staff happen to read this: thank you for quietly looking out for them too. Acts of kindness like this don’t go unnoticed and say a great deal about the values of a place. Desini Villas is somewhere we would happily return to and recommend without hesitation.

Desini Villas was a great place to stay — private, comfortable, and very easy with breakfast and room service available. One of the unexpected highlights was the friendly local cats around the villas. They’re gentle, social, and part of the Bali atmosphere rather than a nuisance. If you have leftovers from breakfast or room service, sharing a little is an easy thing to do and surprisingly rewarding.

Disini Villas is a wonderful safe and secure complex, with the friendliest, competent and cheerful staff. Their daily smiles and greetings always made my day. The Deluxe Spa Villa was far beyond my expectations. So very spacious and comfortable, muchbetter then the various 5 star hotels I have stayed in over the years. The pool magnificent in size, actually managed to do laps 😎 It's an intersection of old world luxury and modern convenience. Really have to experience as words alone don't do justice! OH I did manage to find time to order an in Villa Massage from the on site Spa and used their Rm service for a couple of delicious meals. hint.. Pizza is to die for

As with other reviews, definitely not a 5 star experience, but as far as location goes, it's a fantastic area to be in for 1st time Bali visitors. Easy walk to restaurants and shops, with convenience store right next door. Villas are very tired and run down. Hot water is from gas bottle, not 'high capacity solar/electric' and there was definitely no electronic insect and mosquito machine. A staff member came in each evening, lit a mossie coil and sprayed bug spray around the rooms! It also states, on their website, that breakfast is complimentary with the pool villas, but it is not. Having said this, staff were very friendly, and accommodating, letting us check in early, and when our hot water gas ran out, it was replaced straight away. Would we stay there again? It was nice, but No

Firstly I would like to say that the staff here are excellent, so polite and very helpful, in particular Jo and the lady who served us breakfast each morning, thank you for making us feel so welcome 🙏🏼 the location is excellent, perfect spot in centre Seminyak but tucked away enough to avoid the noise. AC was great, breakfast was nice but not 5 star, and the bed was probably the best bed I've slept in for a long time. However - it felt very run down and frankly a little dirty. The outdoor area wasn't cleaned well, the day bed was covered in green mossy stuff around the edges, the complimentary robes smelled like stale sweat, and the shower had not been descaled meaning the flow was very inconsistent, spraying to the sides and drippy. There were cracked tiles and grime around corners in the bathroom also. The worst part is that we had no hot water the first night so we were sent to shower in another room, where the shower was also poor but at least hot, them the second day we were told ours would work and it didn't so we had cool showers, and the third day it was 'fixed' but it would rapidly go from boiling to cold making it really uncomfortable. On our honeymoon we would have liked to use the nice big bath but we were unable to due to not having enough hot water. I can imagine this place used to be 5 stars but with the owners not up keeping them properly I'd say it's more of a 3 star place to stay. No fault of the staff at all though, I hope the owners make more of an effort!

We were these for 2 nights but unfortunately there was an issue with the wifi and it kept repeating. We didn’t even have hot water coming in the room, the water heater was not working. But overall, the staff is really nice and they’re helpful and reply at any point you call/message them. I would rate my experience a 7/10.

Stay here for 2 nights and everything is perfect. I have reserved the room with private pool, the room is super big and clean! They provide the bottle of water next to the washbasin for us to brush teeth, we don’t have to worry about the Bali belly. They also give me a birthday surprise! I reserved the spa in my room, which is super good experience on the last day. I have really enjoyed the my stays in Disni Villas, especially because of all of the nice staff.

Back when it was built in the early 2000s I am sure this was a 5-star establishment, but it certainly isn't now. The staff are generally very nice and helpful but there is only so much they can do to make up for the fact the rooms are now rundown, there are literally bits of tiles chipped off in bathrooms and cracks everywhere and the private pool for our villa was quite dirty and stained. The main issue though was we had NO hot water for a shower for the first three days/nights. We complained of this right away but it took multiple failed attempts by the staff to rectify the issue. On Day 4 of our 6 night stay they finally managed to get the hot water working, but it was scalding hot and then freezing cold in cycles when having a shower. So that was our experience throughout our entire stay, and of course completely unable to have a hot bath too, which for our honeymoon was very disappointing. The villas have not been looked after and this is the owners' fault, not the lovely staff. A ladder was also left leaning up against the side of our villa one day which we realised was how the flea-ridden cat had got into our villa... I would unfortunately not recommend these villas, we spent all of our time during the day away in Seminyak and doing tours when we had initially expected to spend a lot of time in the villa using the pool and relaxing, but it just isn't nice enough to do so.
