Future ‘Barefoot Contessa’ Episodes as Imagined by an Ina Garten Superfan | Eater

"At a major theme park curated in the host's honor — with flowerbeds replaced by her favorite orange tulips — the visit is whimsically indulgent: she climbs out of a pirate-themed dark ride to pour whiskey sours for animatronic pirates, requests to be sprayed with champagne rather than water on a log-flume, uses a fast-pass to skip the line for a nostalgic international children's attraction that leaves her misty-eyed about a first camping trip in France, and finishes the day riding in the parade barefoot alongside princess characters." - James Park

This is a magical and enchanting place, full of wonders. I've been there four times already, and each time they managed to surprise me with something new. Every visit gave me another unforgettable memory to take home. It’s an incredible theme park with breathtaking attractions — there's something for everyone, no matter their age. The entrance ticket is a bit expensive, but it's definitely worth it. The roller coasters, the parades, the fireworks, and the Disney characters all come together to create an unforgettable experience. It truly feels like stepping into another world. There are a lot of people, and the crowds can be overwhelming at times. You often have to wait in lines, even just to enter, but it's still absolutely worth it. Visiting during Halloween is also highly recommended — the atmosphere is simply stunning!

Second time here with the kids and it's a fantastic experience. The kids love it and we of course do too. It's been hard to try to keep them awake for the fireworks but finally last night we managed. My 2 yo loved it and my 5 yo has seen it twice during this trip and it keeps being a magical moment. Super recommended for any family that's looking to experience this magic together. Many tips will come later as I'm still here

We had a great time here. Pretty similar overall to the states. Lots of familiar food. Most every employee speaks English. Fun rides. Most all of the rides are repeats of rides in the states but they all have a little differences. The fireworks show was amazing at the end of the night. I’d never seen a drone show before. It was cool to see.

Google
A great but Crowded Experience It’s hard to write a review about Disney because it’s such a unique experience. It’s a fantastic place for both kids and adults. However, it’s also a very busy park, so planning ahead is essential. If you're coming from abroad, you may need more than one day to make the most of your visit. The park offers a wide range of attractions for all ages, but the waiting times can be very long. This can be frustrating, especially with children. Sometimes, you may have to wait up to 90 minutes for a single attraction—whether it’s sunny, rainy, or cold. This is one of the most frustrating aspects of the park. Staying at a hotel inside the park is the best way to get the most out of your visit. You can also pay extra for fast access, but that makes the experience significantly more expensive. There are several restaurants, bars, kiosks, and food stands both inside and outside the park, so you don’t need to worry about food and drinks—just be prepared for high prices. Overall, everything is well organized. Don’t miss the evening show—it’s truly an epic and memorable moment.

Many times folks will say: "Aren't these the same rides that they have in Florida or Anaheim?" The answer is NO! The rides are tweaked enough such that they are completely different experiences. For a Disney Fan, such as myself, Disneyland Paris was a real treat. I would have loved to have more time there, but gotta see Paris, right? If you enjoy Disney and have a stop in Paris, this is a must!

Google
Magical experience for all ages! Disneyland Paris truly lives up to the magic! From the moment you step through the gates, you’re transported into a world of imagination, color, and excitement. The park is beautifully designed, with so much attention to detail — whether you’re wandering through Sleeping Beauty’s Castle or exploring the different themed lands, every corner feels like a storybook come to life. The rides are fantastic, with a great mix for all ages — from thrilling roller coasters like Hyperspace Mountain to family favorites like It’s a Small World. The parades and nighttime fireworks show were absolute highlights — pure Disney magic! Staff were friendly and helpful throughout the park, and everything felt well-organized even with the crowds. Food options were better than expected, with both quick bites and sit-down meals available. Whether you’re a Disney fan or just looking for a fun and unforgettable day, Disneyland Paris is absolutely worth the visit.

I visited Disneyland Paris four times over 25 years ago and finally returned last month, and it was just as magical as I remembered. The park has kept its charm, the rides are better than ever, and the atmosphere is pure Disney. It felt like coming home to childhood memories, but with fresh surprises. Can’t wait to go back again! 🏰✨

Google
I loved it so much! I am a 35 year old adult, And i had a blast! highly recommend getting VIP tickets for the fireworks display! and everything is much more queuing/waiting then you would expect! 1 hour before fireworks show, people just stopped doing anything and where sat down i the "street" waiting for fireworks.

Yelp
Disneyland Paris does not disappoint!!! Although smaller than Disneyland Anaheim, the grounds and attractions and the food is still spectacular and wonderful and beautiful. A day at Disneyland Paris was enjoyable and lovely to experience. The visitors to the Parc were a better caliber of people and families enjoying their time and experiences together, so much different than in California. In California the children are brats and parents are not being responsible for the actions of their kids. However, the children and parents were respectful of others which is so refreshing. The kids were still kids, but the parents were setting a wonderful example to enhance the atmosphere. The grounds were well kept and vibrant. The queues were well managed. Food was served delicious and hot. The rides were full with the line moving. The website provides helpful information on everything and I recommend making reservations and using the Disneyland Paris App to make your experience enjoyable. The Parc was well-maintained and indeed resonated the theme of Walt Disney here in France!!!

Yelp
So I debated what I was going to give this Disney as I've been to Orlando, California, Tokyo sea, Hong Kong's and every other Disney park but animal kingdom and Shanghai. The rating is based off the cleanliness of the place and the shorter lines. The experience was a bit off as every ride we tried to ride or ride broke down. Legit even Indian jones was broken all day. Disney is Disney. I think it's missing the boat on adults but they do a good job with the kids. Food was ok. I however will say what a crazy experience to say 10 years ago when my wife and I went to hong Kong Disney the guy Jean Marie was doing glass figures and we bought jack from a nightmare before Christmas. Well today we walked into the glass figures and I immediately recognized him. My wife didn't think it was him but I don't forget a face. And showed her the pictures from 2015. We couldn't believe the odds he was here now. We spoke to Jean for a while and we shook hands and I bought a mini mouse glass figures for my wife as a gift. Overall, if the rides were working I'd give it 4 stars as the rides just aren't as good as other places.

Yelp
It's just an overpriced outdoor mall with some fake castle in the middle. Worst Disney park I've ever visited. It's a money printing concentration camp, especially if hot. Rides are broken or malfunctioning. Lines insane. Smelly. Long. Rides break in while waiting in line for hours. It's a decrepit picture of 90s former glory. The Shrink-wrapped plastic magic doesn't cut it anymore. I'm done with Disney. For good. Never again.

Yelp
Oh Disneyland, I will love you in Florida, California, Japan.... and most definitely Paris!! I am a huge Disney parks fanatic, and it has been my dream to visit all of the parks across the world one day. Getting to visit EuroDisney was everything I could've hoped for! DP reminds me a lot of the Disneyland California layout - Both parks right next to each other, including the downtown Disney area. There are quite a few different hotels on property - A couple within walking distance and some just a short shuttle ride away. Getting here was surprisingly easy from the city. We booked a Disney shuttle in advance that picked us up from the airport. They had plenty of workers outside that helped us know where to go. Or, if you're comfortable with the trains, the station will literally take you to right in front of the parks... It's almost funny how close it is. DP consists of two parks - Walt Disney Studios, a much smaller park but is currently growing rapidly, and the original 'Magic Kingdom' park. Tons of the classics are there, like Adventureland, Fantasyland, etc. There are also unique areas, like the Alice in Wonderland garden and Indiana Jones outdoor roller coaster. The magic is just as consistent here, with friendly cast members, great food and cleanliness all around. We had such a great day here and the added convenience of how close everything was around the park made it even better. This park must be on your bucket list, and is pretty easy to get to from Paris or even nearby cities/countries!

Yelp
We enjoyed a fun day visiting both Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park while in Paris. Both are so close you can easily hop between them and it's a great value to grab the two parks pass. Getting from Paris city center to the parks via RER was a breeze. You step directly out of the station and into the entrance. The park had your usual classic rides, Mickey shaped treats, character visits and parade. Food options by comparison to the parks in the states seemed a bit limited but there were a few unique treats like macarons which were indicative of the location.

Yelp
It was a brisk beautiful day filled with happy fun seeking people. It was not too crowded. Longest line we waited in was 50 min. Recommend the single line other than Nemo if you don't need to ride together. Bistro Chez Remy was excellent. Needed a reservation or wait list. Has fun. No mishaps. Glad we came.

Yelp
Stunning! Absolutely gorgeous. Especially at night. We tacked this on very last min to the tail end of our honeymoon (maybe 2 weeks in advance of our trip) It was easy to do, even for what I know to be a "busy" season - October, fall, halloween time. For reference, my home park is WDW and I am what people like to call a "Disney adult" which is fine by me I'm so glad we stoped in. We were there for 3 days. Stayed on property (which was like a Eisner era time capsule) loved the free admission included with our hotel stay (including extra magic hours each day including the day we chaned out, so for a two night stay we got 3 days in the parks included) and we had a great time. Even my husband who is not a Disney adult really really enjoyed himself and was in awe of how gorgeous the park was at night. Everything was doable in that time frame. The food was so good. We did not get our first picks for dining (which is not unexpected within the booking time frame) but what we did have was very good and we were fine with it - I have written reviews of those separately Also ahe to say the merch. was SO GOOD! I spent far more money than I planned to. Lots of items specific to this park so plan to shop if you like souvenirs or are a Disney adult. If you are a Disney fan in France, please go and experience it at least once. I would love to go back (before having children and then again with children) and stay in the Disneyland hotel to witness the shows from my room and experience that hotel. I wrote reviews of dining, hotel, and various rides separately so scroll my reviews to check those out.

Yelp
It's very easy to get to by train from any part of Paris... When arriving by train, you exit up an escalator, and through the doors, you know you have made it to Disneyland, not any Disney property but Disneyland Paris. The lines weren't bad going into the park and when we entered there they were Mickey & Minney!!! This park was so fun because it's smaller than Orlando and the food adventures take up a notch!!! We arrived when they opened and left by 5:30, having completed every ride and have tried all the foodie stops we were educated about on TikTok :) and boy, there were many!!! Deadpool tagged along, and I have added a few pictures with him. If you're in Paris you don't have to be a Disnry Fan to have fun at the park but if you are you will really enjoy yourself!!! Stores, Food and Speciaty Stores were filled with so much to try and buy. So if you're a Disney fan, what's stopping you!!

Yelp
Disneyland Paris was built in 1992, and unfortunately, it's really starting to show its age -- the structures, paint, and theming all feel tired. Speaking of theming, the transitions between lands are poorly done. It's a small detail, but it really affects the overall experience. Bathrooms are few and far between. In Fantasyland, you might as well need a Fast Pass just to use the restroom. When I checked the park map, I was shocked at how spread out the bathrooms were -- definitely not enough for the crowds they pull. Operations are slow. At many food stands, one worker is expected to do the job of two -- taking your order, getting your food, and then handling the payment. As a result, even the food cart lines take forever. Another interesting observation: very few people wear Disney gear here. It's a totally different vibe from the U.S. parks. Wait times? A complete lie. Whatever is posted, add 20-30 minutes, easy. Line management is also poor -- if you're a group of three, good luck. They constantly pull groups of two from behind you to fill seats, which makes boarding frustratingly slow for others. It's more a design and operations problem than anything. Don't expect Disneyland Anaheim or Orlando nostalgia here. Honestly, it felt more like early 2000s Knott's Berry Farm in February... but with sold-out crowds and none of the charm. Snack game is weak too. Forget about grabbing churros or decent popcorn. The corn dogs are straight from the freezer and taste air-fried. I figured with France's high food standards, this would be better -- but no. Even the beignets are very different. Also, no real confectionery shops -- just some candy stands. If you're visiting Paris and considering a trip here, think twice. I had free tickets but still had to upgrade to the Premier Access pass (€160 per person) just to avoid 70-minute wait times. It helped a lot, but it was a very expensive solution. Highlights: * Space Mountain was fun if you like going upside down (though the theming makes no sense). * Phantom Manor was excellent -- definitely one of the best experiences there. * Pirates of the Caribbean was a neat reverse-version of Anaheim's. * Hollywood Studios Paris is pretty ugly overall, but Avengers Campus, Ratatouille, and Crush's Coaster were fantastic -- just expect very long lines without paid access.

Yelp
Extremely, extremely, extremely busy! Shoulder to shoulder crowds and way oversold! It was so crowded you couldn't even get through the streets without bumping into people! Is Disney that desperate for business that they make it miserable for everyone in the park? The lines were so long and you are nicked and dimed to death! We were there for two night and 3 days for a family of 5 including hotel and I spent before upgrades, food and toys $4,600.00 I don't think it's worth the money, we could have done a lot more with that money after it was all said and done. The lines were so long unless you had a fast pass and then it was so inconvenient to backtrack to ride the ride after you were told what time to return. I recommend Lego Land it's much better!

Yelp
Best birthday gift to myself ever!!! My first solo trip to France had to include going to Disney, and I definitely had an amazing time! Planned, prepped the day before by purchasing ticket and scheduling the bus ride. Even on a dreary day, the weather couldn't stop my joy. Be sure to get a map, it helped navigate particular areas suited for adult rides. And DO NOT miss the electric light show, it's like nothing I've ever seen! One of the best days from my first time visiting Europe.

Yelp
Great park! You can definitely see both parks in one day if you have a good plan. BAD: There was a lot of construction and several rides were closed for maintenance. It would've been smarter to do the construction in phases instead of closing large sections of the park. Minus stars because the food selection inside the park was terrible. The signage to the food and shops just outside of the park was terrible. I didn't know it existed until we were almost leaving the park. They had it blocked off with construction boards but they should've definitely put up signs saying it was open for business. The "wait times" for rides was always wrong. All the wait times were longer than advertised by at least 15-20 minutes. Honestly, the wait times would not have been that bad if their other rides were open. GOOD: I felt like all the rides were more intense than in the US. Faster, more turns, and longer. Once we found the eating area outside the park, it was perfect! The light and drone show at the end of the night was AMAZING! The entire show put the show in the US to shame. So many times it gets canceled in California due to weather. The US definitely needs to switch to drones and lights. It's a must see while at Disney to end the night. The Ratatouille area was so awesome. My kids loved it!! We bought so much merchandise! They had a great selection of items. Did I mention the light show at the end?!?!! Truly made the night!!! They stuck to the traditional Disney shows that made Disney what it is today (not all these new movies/shows that have been out recently). I'd come back in a few years once all the construction is done.

Yelp
I thoroughly enjoyed this park! The lines were significantly shorter than US, and some of the rides were very similar. Some in English. Most in French. I did not like the Indiana Jones ride that much as it was more roller coaster than that of California Disney, but thunder mountain was a lot of fun, and I liked seeing Pirates in French too! I also liked that they sold champagne. 20€ but at least it came with a souvenir cup. Until the renovations are done, I don't recommend Walt Disney studios. Stick to Disneyland only. And be sure to STAY for the drone show! It was awesome!!

Yelp
In total transparency, I'm not a Disney enthusiast--Disney's best days were in the 90s. With that said, I stayed here for a few days in one of the hotels. When you get here, it's almost like you're treated like cattle: wait in this line, go through this security check, wait in another line to check your luggage, etc. Even at the end of the day, when you're in the park, they direct you to the exit with light wands as if you're on a runway. Regarding the other reviews, it's not fair to compare this to theme parks in America, because this isn't America. It's a foreign country hosting an American theme park, so people can stop the comparisons. The restaurants fill up quickly, and you need to get reservations early; otherwise, your favorite restaurants won't be available. That said, some restaurants don't need reservations, but for some reason, some seemed to be closed 24/7. There seem to be multiple parades and dance routines throughout the day. There are many stores throughout the theme park, yet the majority seem to sell the same things--no variety. Also, these are 'top tier' hotels, but they don't have any refrigerators, which makes no sense. But at the end of the day, we had fun and made memories, so we'll probably go again next year.

Yelp
First time Disneyland Paris visit with the family and it did not disappoint. We lived every moment!! We only visited the one park and unfortunately spent so much of our time in line for rides but that did not take away from the fun we had!! I would definitely upgrade to the fast pass when we return, too much waiting for little ones. We almost made it to all the rides - just a few the shorties couldn't ride. My only complaint was the lack of characters, we def were hoping to see more characters walking around and taking photos.

Yelp
Poor enforcement of smoking rules cigarettes smell everywhere even when outdoor. Poor cellphone coverage and WiFi is not available to all. Theme restaurants have very poor service. Went to the Walt's. Extremely unprofessional servers pouring wine into a water glass for tasting. Stuffy dining room incapable staff and the food quality really isn't there. No refilling of water at all. Bring your own food!
google avatar

Adam W.

Yelp
The place has good intentions but the air quality was labeled unsafe even for healthy individuals. We all had scratchy throats and felt terrible. To top it off, they allow dmoking at this park. Combine this with long lines and overpriced merchandise and its now probably the worst disney experience Ive had after attending disney land in California and world in Florida. Why would you allow so much cigarette smoke around innocent children who cant choose foe themselves. shame on you Disney. I am boycotting your company.

Yelp
Starting off bad. so not impressed. Been to Disneyland in California now Disneyland in Paris and none of them can touch Disney World in Orlando Florida. It looks like a mid-level hotel staying in a resort not impressed. The hotel is old. The staff is not too friendly just really not impressed. you do not get that Disney welcoming when you come in. It's not as a friendly Happy place. Can't believe I travel from the US to here for Disneyland not impressed. To make matters worse if this place is not so freaking horrible waste of freaking money do not travel to this place here oh my gosh, they just gave me like the hardest time about a selfie stick. Ask the guy if I could just put a selfie stick in a locker no no no you can't have a selfie stick. I'm like well that's not on your Website or anything. Don't waste your money coming to Paris to Disney. Paris is overrated.

Yelp
Extremely Disappointing Experience - Do Better, Disneyland Paris I flew over 12 hours from the U.S. to visit Disneyland Paris, and as a college student, I spent a significant amount of money to make this trip happen. What I thought would be a magical experience turned into one of the most frustrating and disappointing encounters I've ever had with Disney. Before arriving, I tried multiple times to purchase tickets using a military discount I'm eligible for. The online system was down, and after speaking to three different Disney representatives, I was told to buy the tickets in person at the park. When I arrived on Friday, I was told the park was "fully booked" and there was nothing they could do. They suggested I come back another day but the next available date was after I was scheduled to fly home on Sunday. Out of the three staff members I interacted with, only one was even remotely helpful. The rest were rude, dismissive, and completely uninterested in helping. Eventually, I was told my only option was to book a room at a Disney hotel which they tried to charge me €1,600 (~$1,700 USD) for one night, plus another $200 for a park ticket. This was outrageous and felt like price gouging, especially since the park clearly wasn't at full capacity. I contacted customer service and asked to speak with a manager multiple times they refused to let me. No help, no empathy, no accountability. As a college student who spent so much money to even get to Paris, this experience was heartbreaking. I expected better from Disney especially when it comes to honoring military discounts and treating guests with respect. Disneyland Paris, this was a disgrace. Fix your systems, train your staff better, and stop taking advantage of people who just want to enjoy your park. You've lost my trust and likely the trust of many others reading this.

Yelp
Rides here are so shaky. Food options are mid. Unfortunately the drone show was cancelled the day I went due to weather conditions.

Yelp
Checking Paris Disneyland off my Disney bucket list. I was excited and had high expectations for this visit but sadly I was disappointed. We bought 2 dated tickets for Magic Kingdom and Walt Disney Studio and uploaded them to the Paris Disney app. Pretty easy. Our visit was in late May and there was a good amount of people. Not like US spring break crowds but more like Labor Day or Presidents' Day weekend. There were pretty cool things that's not at the US parks like a dragon under the castle ( must see!), a pretty French village feel to the area where Ratatouille is, an awesome Sleeping Beauty castle, drone show. Also the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad ride totally blows away the US ones. You actually go under the lake! And Phantom Manor is a different experience. That said, all the positives end here. The rides seemed much shorter and some totally different ride. For example, my fave Indiana Jones was reduced to a jerky roll coaster ride with none of the background story. The park seemed grungier with trash on the walkways, the restrooms were not maintained- some stalls without toilet paper. Food was mediocre at best and the cast members not very friendly. Total opposite of Tokyo Disneyland! The Walt Disney Studio park was very small with very few rides. And the smoking! Despite no smoking signs, there were people vaping and smoking with no attempt of enforcing it. Hoping the parks in Shanghai and Hong Kong fare better FYI- it is relatively easy to get here on the RER red line- it's the last stop.

Yelp
I would love to visit all of the Disneylands of the world. Disneyland Paris was my first one and it was so much fun! First, it's way less crowded than Disney World in Florida for obvious reasons, so that was already a plus in my book. Then, you still have some of the classic rides from Disney World but also ones specific to Disneyland Paris. There are two parks - Disneyland Park (the main one and where Main Street and the castle is) and Walt Disney Studios Park (where Avengers Campus) is. We bought the two day ticket, which allows you to hop back and forth between the two. We split the park into two days but WDS Park is much smaller so if you were really ambitious, you could go from open to close and do both in one day if you really wanted to. But we wanted a more leisurely experience and did 2 and ended up having extra time on the second day to re-ride the rides we really liked. Definitely download the app because if you want to eat at any of the restaurants, you need to use it to book way ahead of time. We checked two weeks prior and all the good restaurants/time slots were gone. But due to people cancelling last minute, we actually ended up being able to do most of the restaurants we wanted, so keep checking that app. The parks are about an hour from the city center and you can take the RER A. Be mindful of train times though because there was one night we found out at the park that the trains stopped after 9, and that was the night we were waiting for the fireworks, which were not until 10-10:30. Make sure you get to Main Street at least an hour prior for a good spot. It was annoying but it was worth the wait, especially since it happened to be the 30th anniversary, so there was a special drone show too. Same goes for the parade - if you're planning to go, be sure to go an hour beforehand to get a good viewing point. We were on the sidewalk at first and then one of the cast members told us to go with him and we ended up getting a prime sideline spot! Overall, it was a really magical and wonderful experience but probably something I only need to do once in Paris.

Yelp
Was excited to visit due to bringing my 3 y/o grandson for his first ever Disney experience! It started out a bit wet due to rainy weather, however, things got better. We purchased a one park ticket but went to the Universal Studios park instead of the Disney side, however, the guest relations staff were super helpful at exchanging our tickets as we had not exceeded the time limit to do so. We really enjoyed everything the park had to offer and my grandson had the time of his life lol!

Yelp
We've thought about going to Disneyland Paris a couple of times over the years when visiting Paris, but have always decided against it. Over the last few years we've gone to every other Disney park, so it was time to finally knock this one out. I've heard some negative stuff about the park and been told it was one of the worst, but I have to completely disagree. We got a pretty good package deal staying on site, with park hopper tickets and a meal pass. We had a great time in the park, loved the Electrical Sky show, thought they have the best Space Mountain out of all the parks, and loved the entire experience. Crowds weren't too bad in March. We got to ride everything we wanted over the couple of days we were there. Happy to knock the final park off our list!

Yelp
Even though it was raining off and on, we still had a lot of fun. Lines went quick. We saw two parades, went on the train, fireworks and lots of rides. We were bummed that we missed the dragon (not operational the day we went) and the drone light show (due to weather). Souvenirs were well priced. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food pieces were very reasonable compared to price gouging in America. Very pretty flowers and shrubbery.

Yelp
Can't be a Disneyland Magic Key holder and not check out Disneyland Paris on my Paris vacation right? Disneyland Paris is pretty beautiful for sure, which is centered on the significantly larger Sleeping Beauty Castle in the middle of the park. Although Main Street seemed almost like a carbon copy of Main Street back at Disneyland in Anaheim, the rest are very much not. Frontierland, Adventureland, and Fantasyland have their own unique features, and Discoveryland was designed to not be a straight copy of Tomorrowland. The one thing I noticed was that park attendance was significantly lower than anything I would have seen at Disneyland or Walt Disney World. Most rides didn't have lines longer than 30 minutes, which was staggering to me. For those that don't feel like waiting, you can get Disney Premier Access on an a la carte basis or buy Disney Premier Access Ultimate and cut the line on EVERY ride. Kinda glad I didn't get Disney Premier Access Ultimate because there were a lot of rides I ended up skipping on. One thing I noticed is that the rides are significantly more rollercoaster heavy. Hyperspace Mountain is nothing like the Space Mountain versions as it is a legit rollercoaster with inversions (which I am very much NOT a fan of). Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril is also a rollercoaster, unlike the Disneyland version. Only thing that was fairly similar was Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Only tried one food place and it was ok. Wish I had been able to get a reservation for dining, but those filled up pretty quickly. Full credit that tickets are way cheaper here. A one-day ticket for both parks was about $136...I wish tickets were that cheap back home. Everything is primarily French (obviously), but also in English as well. All the Cast Members here speak English too. Only weird thing for me was how the parades and the fireworks presentation at the end of the night was in French and English. Definitely nice to have visited here once, but there's no need to come back. Enough to do in Paris and I have plenty of Disneyland back home!

Yelp
Whewww. Nothing like the states! There aren't that many rides. It's not oversaturated with Disney characters like the US, kind of sparse. It's pricey just like Disney parks are expected to be. The food isn't too bad. It just seems like this was a park they threw together last minute, to say they have one in Europe! We definitely like the Disney Park over the Walt Disney Studios Park! Most rides seem more appropriate for smaller people (children). There were some friendly staff members, but I must say as a woman of color and someone who is very observant. The subtle racism is still disgusting and speaks volumes. I watched multiple crewmembers walk past a little black girl who was crying and struggling to put on a seatbelt for a ride that would've had us hundreds of feet in the air that!!! That was INSANE TO ME!!! Finally a decent crew member came to her rescue to help! Needless to say that pretty much ruined the experience for me, and I would never come back here ever again. Also this was my Daughter's 9th birthday present/ trip, and SHE WAS DISAPPOINTED!!!

Yelp
Having been to many other Disney parks including Aulani in Hawaii and Tokyo DisneySea, I was extremely excited to see what Disneyland Paris had in store. The beauty of the park was the first thing that caught my eye as I entered. The landscaping was perfect, the views were spectacular, and the paths were free from any and all dirt and trash. The rides themselves had much shorter wait times than I'm used to and were incredibly fun. Space Mountain in this park seemed like the fastest and most exhilarating ride experience I've had in years. For lunch, I had the fish and chips from Toad Hall Restaurant. It was delicious and the portions were excellent for €12. The only thing I can't recommend is going to Walt Disney Studios. People seemed to be sitting around with nothing to do and it was pretty unimpressive. There are very limited food options in Studios and a lot is under construction as of late 2024. Overall, I had a wonderful time in Disneyland Paris and consider it one of the best Disney parks in the world. Highly recommend stopping in!

Yelp
First of all I'd like to say if you love Disney, you'll like it here. The reason I'm giving it two stars : a lot of attractions were closed due to employee strikes. It would disappointing coming all this way not being able to ride your favorite ride. Phantom manor, Big thunder mountain, hyper space mountain, pirates of the Caribbean, and several food carts, and several restaurants were closed. We did get to ride ratatouille, which is in Florida as well . The French regional wine carts were divine.

Yelp
Second year in a row spending it with Mickey Mouse and Co for Christmas. Last year was in Anaheim, California, but this year it was Disneyland Paris. I didn't t know what to expect but the park was closer to DisneyLand than DisneyWorld. The weather wasn't very cooperative-- so I didn't get to spend hours and hours in the park, but I did get on a few rides. Two things that were very noticeable were I did not see the character engagement that you would see back in the US. I saw one character and it appeared she was in an argument with someone on the phone, lol. Also, as it was Christmas Eve, I didn't see any of the parade shows that occur back in the states. I will say I'm glad I had the experience, but I was let down as a whole with the experience here. It's okay; Paris had a lot more to offer so that surely made up for it!

Yelp
Disney Paris!!!! I have wanted to visit this park for a long time! And finally, I was able to. Right away when entering the park, you can tell it is a lot smaller than California Disneyland. Which I guess makes sense since Americans are bigger and need more space? The rides and attractions seemed all lumped together, and everything was more cramped. California Disneyland is more spread out everywhere. We walked the main park in no time. Went on a couple rides and then went to Walt Disney World Studios. Walt Disney Studios was bigger and had more unique things that we don't have in California. We did the Disney Premier Access Ultimate for the rides that were too long. Most of the rides were an hour or more. Hyperspace Mountain is completely different from the California version called Space Mountain. Hyperspace is FAST. And it is longer than Space Mountain. Overall, it was fun to compare and contrast Disneyland Paris to Disneyland California. The food is not as good as California.

Yelp
I haven't been to all the castle parks around the world, but of the ones I've been to, this one is the most beautiful. Truly everywhere you look is gorgeous, between the landscaping, bridges, ride facades, and layers of detail. I could've just spent the day walking around and taking pictures of the park itself. The park offers a decent amount of rides with a range from very mild to quite thrilling. I was able to do everything that I wanted in 3/4 of a day. There are many places to eat, though seemingly few bathrooms. The cast members are quite nice and they all speak English and French. Some other languages as well. I was slightly disappointed with the fireworks show, which was mostly castle projections. Since the show begins at 11 in the summer due to the late sunset, I and many others waited around a long time to see them. I personally was not impressed.

Yelp
I'm not going to compare it to DW because they isn't fair but this smaller scale version left something to be desired still. The shows were okay and so were the rides. At least we didn't have to wait in line long by going on a random Tuesday in June. The food was also lacking. Overall we probably wouldn't chance it again.

Yelp
I would NOT recommend Disneyland Paris to anybody who loves Disneyland or Disney. I wanted to go wrong because, as a Disney fan, who wouldn't want to go!? The public transport directly to the park was excellent, and all Disney parks have something like that from the airport. That is where the buck stops regarding cool things happening at this location. We went in the middle of the week and didn't know that the staff doesn't also come to the park. So many things are closed at the park throughout the day because of the need for more staff. Compared to other Disney parks that we have been to, the cleanliness is not there. I have to say that I think that people who are giving this location the Disney Magic blinds five stars because I do not see it. The merch isn't there; you can get it back stateside, and there isn't anything special about this park or this merch, which was upsetting. We ended up leaving with a Keychain and spent about a total of two hours here before we rode all the rides, saw all the things we could see, and ate at the available food places (since so many were closed). If you are going to mark it off of your list, great. If you are going because you think that this will be a fantastic experience, just go to Disneyland Tokyo.

Yelp
A charming cross of the Orlando and LA versions with a sprinkling of local French flair (crepes for snack time for example). The park is large enough to include many things but small enough that walking the entire thing was not so daunting - although it's still a tiring day. I can't speak to the normal crowds, we went on a cold and rainy day in the off season. I recommend trying to go in the off season if you can; the crowds we experienced were downright sane by Disney standards. Only a few rides had 50+ minute waits and if you're willing to monitor the app and pick rides based on their wait times, you can squeeze a lot in a day. I recommend downloading the app and using it to both navigate and check times if you have service on your phone. The staff was not as friendly as the US Disney locations. That's not necessarily a problem as everyone did their jobs but we did run into an unpleasant experience trying to order food while considering a food allergy. The staff were not exactly pleased to assist us, but ultimately we did get the information we needed. On that note, unlike the US Disney parks which go to great lengths to accommodate many needs and allergies, this park essentially just doesn't accommodate such things. They had a handful of pre-packaged meal offering in place of allergy sensitive items but did not have any main-menu items that were Gluten free for example - not even a GF bun available for a simple hot dog. This was a bit of a disappointment as one of the best things about visiting Disney in recent year has been the ability to get allergy sensitive items that we otherwise would not be able to find. It also made it hard to feed some members of our party while in the park. However, unlike parks in other parts of world, bringing your own food and drink was not only allowed, it appeared to be a common practice. This was a surprise to me and I would recommend you take advantage of it - the food selection is overall far less than in other Disney parks.

Yelp
I came late to the Disneyland fan club. But, I realize to do love all of the parks. Disneyland Paris is a great theme park and worthy of a visit. First, there are 2 parks: DLP and Walt Disney Studios. If you find yourself there, spend the extra money and visit both. I'm glad that I did. One of the oddest things about being in the parks is that it feels like the States, until you hear the cast members and guests speak (in French). I like it. DLP has the prettiest Sleeping Beauty's Castles of all of the parks, including Anaheim. This is my humble opinion. It is absolutely stunning. The food is very good and better than the parks in the States. You can get beer. Nice. I was happily surprised to find out they at an Avengers Campus like the one on Anaheim. Oh, yeah. There are many attractions--all of them fun--and I could write a short novel about the parks. Instead, I will keep it short & sweet and write that it is a great park and fun for people of all ages. The magic you find in the original park can also be found in DLP. And how awesome it that? If you find yourself in Paris--or Chessy--it is worth the price of admission. Bravo, Paris!!

Yelp
Second time visiting Paris & I had to make sure to come visit since it didn't work out the first time around & as a Disney fan it's always a nice treat to check out some of the other parks if possible. Depending how u get your tickets u can also book transportation to/from they have buses easily accessible. We were a bit lazy & just ended up taking an Uber easy coming it's about an hour ride but a hot mess leaving since it took forever to find the Uber there's a lot going on in the area I'd say plan accordingly to u. I have visited several other parks & this is certainly the smallest maybe it's because of it's location but either way it serves it's purpose in getting your Disney fix on this side of the globe. The entrance here reminds me of the one in California this was a cool visit as it was on Halloween & the park was decked out for the day so cute between the spooky decors & that Disney touch it was nice. Cool castle , Coco land & a really great fireworks show to end the night it was a nice way to spend the day we enjoyed ourselves & now I can cross out one more Disney park off my list!

Yelp
this place is super amazing I don't know why everyone hates it. I think it's actually quite good. I think Orlando might be better, but Paris is still good.

Yelp
Disappointed Disney Connoisseurs As long-time, multiple park Disney junkies we have been to both Disney parks on each US coast - over 25 times. We have come to have some basic expectations when visiting Disney. We were beyond excited to add Disneyland Paris parks to our list of all things Disney that we are do in our lifetime. We planned ahead, got tickets and reservations where ever possible and arrived with our usual joyful enthusiasm ready to dive into all things Disney and introduce some of our travel members who had never been before to a Disney park. For our member who had never been to Disney before, it was wow and pretty amazing place. However, if you have frequented Disney parks before you may have the same sad experience we did. First, don't expect prompt, friendly or timely Disney service. Each day we went we spent 45-90 minutes waiting in line at the luggage drop-off center just to get our bags checked in for holding. Standing in the rain as only 2 employees worked the counter and no help ever arrived was pretty frustrating and only one luggage service center open even with two parks. Quite a bit of the parks is under renovation and "go away green" not present anywhere with giant scaffolding and areas completely in disarray. Rides down and nothing posted online or on the app, you just walk across the park and find out when you get there a ride is not available. No reservations for restaurants available online or in the app, but when walked in and asked if they could accommodate, restaurants were almost empty and turning away customers. The parks were full of trash everywhere, which is definitely something we would never expect out of a Disney experience. We even encountered water rides that had bottles and trash floating in the rides in large amounts. No checkout staff at merchandise shops, however encountered 4 staff members in a corner chatting. And no real pin trading. While some differences were neat to see - like Maleficent in the Dungeon and their version of the Phantom Manor, was not worth the price, wait and poor service.

Yelp
My second time in Paris and I decided to include Disney Paris on my trip. I bought the tickets online and I included the shuttle pickup for it. They drop you off and pick you up at the end of the day. If you decide to leave earlier then that, you can take the train back into town. As for my visit, the castle is amazing. The rides are faster and have a significantly higher thrill factor than the rides back in the United States parks. Park food was alright. They lacked unique park merchandise. I had a lot of fun and the a park ticket was considerably cheaper than back in the states. Lots of characters going around the park. We went on a Thursday, and it wasn't crowded at all. We did everything in one of the park in about half a day.

Yelp
Disneyland Paris was a dream come true! I've been to World, Land CA and this one by far is the best one! Friendly cast mates, reasonably priced snacks and meals. The stores there have everything in stock. The parade was awesome as well. We took the train from Montmartre it was a little over an hour, but the train lets you off on Disneys property. Easy to get in, the price was great as well. I will visit again when I return to Paris

Yelp
Smaller than the usual Disneyland in Anaheim. Good food And attractions. The rides are similar yet different. There's a Toy Story land. Cars did not have the racing cars, just a tour. There are two parks. The main park and then the Hollywood Studios. Doesn't take long to walk from one park to the next. Very convenient. They are working on extending the park with new attractions. Pete pan, thunder ride, and a few others were closed. No Matterhorn. Small world was super cute. Overall, a great experience. Ate lunch at the Coco restaurant. There are no taxes to pay unlike back home in the states.

Yelp
Date of visit: September 12, 2022 We had high hopes for Disneyland Paris, hoping for a combination of the magic of the parks of Florida and the sense of style and superior food culture of Europe. Our expectations were way, way high. This place is lacking in the magic or the food. It's worse than Universal Studios, to be honest. We opted for Disneyland over the Studios park because it was bigger and seemed to have more attractions, even though some of them appeared to be more for kids. This was a poor choice as many of the rides were closed and what was there had wait times that were way off. We learned that 30 minutes really meant 55 minutes. Who knew that time passes differently in France? The Buzz Lightyear ride was a pale imitation of Toy Story Mania in Florida. Phantom Manor had some cool effects to it but wasn't all that different from The Haunted Mansion in the US. Food was pretty much a joke all around. The nice restaurants were all buffets and the more casual places were sub-par fast food joints. Snack options throughout the park mostly consisted of popcorn and soda. The Fast Pass option was a joke at more than the price of the ticket itself. Given the few rides open, it would have worked out to an additional $20 per ride. On the positive side, the parade was quite impressive and I would recommend that you stick around for that. Even if you don't have little ones. Also cool was the castle, there are some shops inside but also a dragon that you shouldn't miss. Maybe the lack of other theme park options in this country has folks thinking that this is as good as it gets? Very disappointing experience, thankfully the tickets were only $75 each.

Yelp
As a DVC and Disney World fan, while visiting Paris, it was only fitting that we visited Disneyland Paris. To get there, we hired a private shuttle to pick us up from our hotel and drive us the 1 hour outside the city to the countryside where Disneyland Paris sits. This literally is in the middle of farmland and is in a pretty desolate location but its there and is pretty good. We visited both parks, although Disney Studios has a lot of consutruction going on and a lot of the rides were barracaded off and closed and presonally it was a disappointment. The main park however made up for this and with 4 hotels surrounding this park, one being directly at the front gate, it was a definite win, alhtough you cannot just stroll into the hotels without being a guest which was odd. The main park was pretty large and has all the resemblences of the Magic Kingdom, although some of it on a smaller scale, it was almost the same, smaller Tomorrowland (Discovery land) but a larger combined Adventureland and FrontierLand. The rides were decent, really cool space mountain Star Wars ride, Indiana Jones ride and the Phantom Mansion was awesome and scarier than Magic Kingdom. Pirates was even better and longer. In all this park is worth it and has some good and bad, but it is a must do if you are ever in Paris.

Yelp
As a Disney fan and knowing that I have been to Disneyland Paris two times, I wanted to see if any changes were made since the last time. I bought a 1-day park hopper and unlike America, you can hop in and out at any time. The app was pretty user-friendly. However they charged 90 Euros per person for a 1x use lightning lane to skip the line. We did not do that, we just bought one lightning lane for 18 Euros as we went on a weekday and it wasn't too busy. The longest line we waited was for Space Mountain for about 45 minutes. Their Space Mountain is very different then all other space mountains at other Disney Parks. They have multiple hotels and some rides are different, and some are the same, but at a smaller scale such as Small World, Pirates of the Caribbean. Food was ok, nothing really stood out, in terms of being in the park. I thought the park was relatively small overall and cast members was a hit or miss in terms of kindness and proficiency in speaking English. The stores don't really sell many spirit jerseys, Mickey ears or pins.

Yelp
As a Disney fan, I was so excited to experience Disney in another country. Everything was so beautiful and whimsical. The rides were a little more "coastery" but awesome. Phantom manor was such a cool experience. But the cherry on top was getting to walk throughout the castle! Underneath, inside, upstairs, and outside! It was such a dream. Definitely lots of adults and not nearly as many kids as Disneyland in California. There were only two let downs... The merch and the cast members. Don't get me wrong, the cast members were perfectly fine, they just didn't have that extra "magic" like they do in California and Florida. As for the shopping, it seemed like less diversity in the merch. It felt like every shop had the same exact stuff. But overall, I would definitely come again.

Yelp
First time in Disneyland Paris and we had a blast! Less crowded than in LA so it's quicker line in every rides/ to meet Disney characters. Bought tickets on line, two trains from our hotel, including RER A train that will take you directly to the "Happiest Place on Earth". Even thought we cannot find a restaurant/stall that sells "turkey legs" we still give strong 5 Stars and it's a must to visit/enjoy if you're in Paris!

Yelp
just now NEW Our boy was showing signs of not being able to attend so we checked website to see if would make any difference to buy tickets at gate. With nothing showing on the website we decided to hold off purchasing until arriving at the gate. The price difference for 2 adults and 2 kids went up by 142 Euro, about 40% higher. When we questioned this the staff were extremely rude. It ended up being super crowded with lines of 40 minutes for rides. Highly recommend avoiding these people.
