The landscaping is incredible, a view of the Savannah from nearly everywhere is so special. The animals seem happy and well cared for with plenty of space to move around. The lobby was gorgeous and it smelled really good. The amenities on the properties were top-notch. The three restaurants gave us plenty of variety to choose from while dining on property. And the pool was so refreshing and relaxing to be around with plenty of things to do for the kids. There were also many activities going on throughout the day if you were not at the park so your kids would not be bored. The rooms were clean and comfortable but we did not spend much time in them. It was overall a great value for what we paid. It was one of the more beautiful Disney resort and I couldn’t be happier.

Overall, I was a little disappointed with my stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge. The hotel itself is beautiful and it's amazing to wake up and see giraffes and other animals grazing on the grounds. Unfortunately the service did not match up to previous deluxe resort stays (such as Wilderness Lodge). The Mora (quick service food) was anything but quick. Servers were constantly trying to keep up with the line while management stood around until we made awkward eye contact in which they could probably tell I was getting extremely frustrated. The worker at the middle bench, the busiest one, was consistently left by themselves while other employees seemed to not have enough to do. Jika, on the other hand, was absolutely marvelous, but you definitely pay for that elevated experience. I never got into the pool but it looked clean enough and large enough to handle the crowd on even the hottest days. At one point we saw somebody had dropped a bucket of popcorn in one of the main hallways. The popcorn remained there for at least 12 hours, Walt would be turning in his grave... Our room did not appear to be fully turned over; I found dirt/debris in the dresser drawer and in the corner of shelves in the bathroom. The facilities are beautiful but unfortunately, it feels like the staff is struggling to find their stride. Perhaps the management needs reminders of what it's like to do these jobs rather than standing around with a smug look while their employees struggle. On the plus side, all of the workers (not management) that I interacted with managed to keep a positive attitude and were lovely to speak with.

We stayed in a 2-bedroom villa at Animal Kingdom Jambo House for 5 nights and had a fantastic experience. The Savanna views from our room were incredible…waking up to see giraffes and zebras right outside was unforgettable. The pool area was a hit with our whole family, and the resort grounds were beautiful and relaxing. We also appreciated the direct shuttle buses to and from the parks, which made getting around easy and stress-free. Overall, a memorable and seamless stay. 5 stars without question!

The detailed theming at this resort is stunning. And having a savanna view room is beyond amazing. Definitely worth it to pay for that upgrade. Just to be able to sit on your balcony and watch giraffes and other animals so close truly made my friend’s birthday vacation celebration extra special. The only complaint I had was that we had a room with one double/queen bed, and a foldout couch, (which we knew in advance) but the foldout couch may have been the most uncomfortable painful thing I’ve ever slept on. The very thin mattress with metal bars poking into my back and hips made it almost impossible to sleep so I was not at all rested for park days, and woke up achy every day. If they put better mattresses or some type of thicker mattress toppers in those rooms maybe that would help? And the fold out couch probably wouldn’t be too uncomfortable for small kids who don’t weigh as much. With that being said, I would 100% stay at this resort again, I would just get a different type of room/bedding arrangement. It’s a beautiful resort, the savanna views are magical, and the cast members all displayed exemplary customer service.

Best resort at Disney! The Savannah view rooms are wonderful. It is very cool to wake up to giraffes and other animals strolling around right outside your balcony. Very comfortable beds as well.

Booked as a group of 3. One of our parties was put on a different floor. They accommodated them by switching them to our floor the following day, so that was helpful. Staff is really friendly, our room location was great for quick access to activities. But the room itself was quite dirty. The soap in the bathroom and spots on the floor were there from check in day to check out day (6 days). I debated on posting them, but I did clean the area with a towel on check out day, and it cleaned easily. Which gives me a gross vibe about room cleanliness. There was also hairs in the sheets, so I'm really telling myself that it was just from laundry. Our room was also right next to the pool, so while we were trying to sleep we were woken up at 10:50 every night from the lifeguard blowing his whistle and yelling. And woken up at 5-6am from the power washer attendant outside our window. I really liked the area and hotel though. Just a few areas for improvement

Just returned from a week long stay here at AKL I was a great experience. Pros One of a kind experience with great views of the habitat and animals from the room (if you have a savanna view room or partial view) all the expected amenities Great authentic African Art displays and themes throughout the resort Food was consistently good Staff were great Rooms were clean and comfortable There are 2 cons that are out of the staffs control The first is the enormous size of the resort leads to potentially substantial walks to get around to and from your room to pool, restaurants, bus stop ect.. * request to be near the lobby if possible to cut down on those walks The second is the transportation is buses only most rides are 20-25 minutes Return rides can be longer with a stop at kadani before coming to jambo house

The Safari room is very much worth it and I would recommend getting club level so that way you can have snacks available all day without having to worry about it. The staff is very nice and the rooms are very clean. Thank you for giving us extra towels without even us having to ask for them. Not my first time staying here and most definitely not my last. 😁

Yelp
Disney's AKL is in my family's top 3 locations on Disney property -- but those top 3 are probably all tied. They have great dining with several options (I can't even pick a favorite between BOMA, Jiko and Sanaa), a gorgeous lobby, a fun pool with an activities team, several bars and I didn't even mention the animals yet! We could truly do a resort stay here and not even go to the parks; between the pool, kid's club, dining, nightly s'mores and animal watching you don't even need to leave. Our most recent visit was during Christmas and the giant tree and animals made out of gingerbread were so beautiful; the bar in the lobby had some fun cocktails and cookies as well. All in all -- we will be back! Hopefully soon :)

Yelp
Fun place to take an all ages family. The grounds are huge with 2 resorts and plenty of parking. There is also good bus transportation to the theme parks. We went over a holiday and the resort was at capacity but we never felt that it was as over crowded as the theme parks. The front desk staff was wonderful. The pool area is nice and open late. Our room overlooked a pool but we felt the room was pretty quiet at all times.

Yelp
The resort is very nice and well maintained. It's very clean. The staff is super friendly and helpful which is the diensey them. Operationally wise, they do a great job as they are many guests. There are 2 resort locations in Animal kingdom. Jamba and Kidiani. Jamba has a bigger pool but Kidiani a bigger slide, cooler play scape and splash pad. It's expensive , but nice.

Yelp
Everything was fantastic except Mara fast foo. It is extremely unorganized. Had to wait in 5 different lines to order and pay. Yo can order specific things in each line. Other Disney restaurants you order at one place and get your food at one place. Getting food here takes much longer. Go anywhere elders even if you leave Disney property. I gave lodge 4 stars becauseMara is a zero. Everything else is a 5

Doug R.

Yelp
Beautiful and Africa theme. Just beautiful to look at. The staff is notch and they look after you very well.

Andrew L.

Yelp
This is my favorite of the 2 towers at Animal Kingdom Lodge. There's nothing like getting a Savannah View Room and seeing the animals outside your window. Also love how it's in Disney World property but feels a bit isolated. No complaints about the hotel. Would stay here again.

Wina G.

Yelp
We changed resorts for the last 2 nights of our trip using DVC points. Too bad we didn't stay here from the beginning. This place is amazing! Loved the jungle motif and there were a lot to see and do. We had a deluxe studio which overlooked the savanna- on our first night there, there were 3 giraffe along with a bunch of African antelope. Just like the commercials! It was so cool to see them from our balcony. The room was big enough for the 2 of us but the shower/toilet area was tiny. You had to angle yourself in order to close the door. There were several outdoor overlooks so you can view the animals with a nature guide in the area to answer any questions. In the evening they had a marshmallow roast which was a lot of fun. The staff here was super friendly and helpful. Only thing it was a little far from the parks.

Jenny L.

Yelp
First of all, Animal Kingdom Lodge actually has two resorts: 1) Jambo House and 2) Kinadi Village. You can walk between two resorts (takes around 8 mins) or take a resort shuttle bus for free. We used Disney timeshare to book the deluxe studio standard view of Animal Kingdom Lodge Jambo House for 5 nights and we really enjoyed our stay and felt just like home. Here are some info for reference: Transportation from MCO to Disney Resorts: There is no free shuttle bus service anymore but you can book the shuttle bus ticket through Mears connect. Adult:$16; Child:$13.5 We took Lyft: $38 Location: This resort is closer to Animal Kingdom and you can take the free shuttle bus to AK at 7:24am, to MK at 7:35am, to HS at 7:34 am and to Epcot at 7:40am as earliest. Cleaning service: They will take away the trash and change the towels every morning but clean the room only on every Thursday. Room: Can refer to my pictures. Restaurants: We had dinner buffet at Boma, $49 per person. It offered great and various dishes. Recommend it. We had dinner at Sanaa Lounge and ordered Zanzibari vegetable curry with chicken $25 (butter chicken&chickpea wat) and Pork Shank $28 The chicken and pork were so delicious and tender. Sanaa offers the savanna view seating and you need to make the reservation and currently walk-in is not available but Sanaa Lounge. *DVC members could get max. 10% discount. Savanna: This is the African themed resort and you can enjoy all within short distance. Gym, massage and video game room, swimming pool are all available. **Most important thing is guests staying at Animal kingdom lodge (deluxe hotel) can enjoy the extended extra hours at the park. The only downside is the light in the resort is very dim at room and indoor public area so you might need to watch your steps.

Yelp
We are slowly coming back to a new normal. Disney world is starting to reopen in stages, as a Disney Vacation Club owner, I was able to stay in the Animal Kingdom Lodge for Memorial Day Weekend 2021. Walking into the hotel, it's just a visual experience. It's all focused on the African plains with all the animals living in harmony. There are no lions roaming the hotel grounds, it's not Zamunda. It breaks my heart to see the front desk behind plexiglass. For 2021, there was no check in process at the front desk. Everything is now handled through the Disney My Experience app. My magic bands are still registered, the app sent me an email to proceed to the room number. I opened the door with my magic band, easy peasy! BC (before COVID) The hotel would be bustling with tourists, sadly it's not. Owners from Canada and England usually have their summer vacation in Florida and I enjoy sparking up a conversation with these travelers. And they tell me they love my accent?! Haha The room? Magnificent. I have a one bedroom savanna view. I have this huge balcony and there are giraffes outside?? It always blows my mind when we stay here. I was able to stay here under my vacation club membership. Hopefully, there will be more tourists and the hotel will back to 100 capacity. Animal Kingdom Lodge is a premier Disney hotel. You truly have to experience it.

Yelp
Stayed here and it was amazing. Staff was so very helpful. Giraffes and zebras were out !!!

Yelp
Jambo House has a beautiful grand lobby. There are 2 great restaurants here as well (check to be sure they are open). The resort I believe is recently remodeled and looks great. Be warned that some of the "Savanna View" rooms are not what you would expect or want. Our recent stay was around the corner and we could look out at people in the hot tub. (not the wildlife we wanted to see) and the Savanna was off in the distance about a "block" from our room. Disney staff is as usually pretty friendly and there seems to always be an "event" of some sort from games to just watching a movie under the stars.

Andy D.

Yelp
Jambo House is what's up! We can't say enough good about the place. Everything from the scenery to the clean rooms and friendly staff. A true treasure for sure. Highly recommended

Michael S.

Yelp
Jambo House overall was beautiful with a big lobby and lots of amenities, including a nighttime animal view area with complimentary night-vision binoculars. Our well-appointed Savanna View studio room was small, but watching the giraffes, antelope and other wildlife from the window and the balcony made up for most shortcomings. That was amazing. We had a nice stay but 1) our room wasn't made up when we were out at the parks from 7 am until 3:45 pm, 2) they left us a confusing notice with the wrong name and departure information, 3) we were surprised there was no path to walk to the Animal Kingdom Park next door ("there's highway and swamp between here and there") and 4) we didn't realize our restaurant Sanaa was next door at Kidani Village which we had to drive to lest we miss our reservation. But OMG I cant overstate how amazing and relaxing it was watching the giraffes from our hotel room. Loved that.

Steven W.

Yelp
I have wanted to stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge ever since I was little. I was so glad I was able to stay at the Jambo House. When they say you will see animals in the patio/backyard area they were not kidding. Right in the morning I raced to the patio door to see if there were any animals and sure enough there were plenty. I saw giraffes, various types of birds and other animals that I don't know what they're called. The rooms were slightly dated but still comfortable and worked for our purpose. I will say the ceilings felt low which made the room seem smaller. Enjoyed the amenities and the restaurants.

Yelp
We have stayed at quite a few of the various Resorts on Disney property, and this is by far our favorite. Granted, the location might not be the most convenient (other than Animal Kingdom Park, which is almost walking distance, it's a LONG ways from the rest of WDW, nearly 30 minutes to the Magic Kingdom), but what it lacks in location it makes up for in its rooms, its recreation, its artwork, its activities, and its food. The rooms here are the best we have stayed in at WDW. They all feel brand-new, and are larger, more comfortable, and better designed than other rooms (their suites are particularly better than other resorts' suites). If you chose a savannah view (which is almost obligatory), the experience of sitting out on your balcony watching the animals is one that can't be beat. The facilities are great here too. AKL actually has the largest collection of African artwork outside Africa, and you could spend the better part of a day viewing it all. Even if you didn't book a savannah view room, there are plenty of public outdoor animal viewing areas, many with naturalists from Africa who will tell you everything you want to know about the animals. Their other activities are great too, including their food tour. Finally, they have two amazing pools. The food and drink options here also can't be beat. AKL has the best sit-down restaurant in any WDW hotel (Sanaa), the best lounges (both Sanaa Lounge and Victoria Falls), the best buffet (Boma) and the best quick-service eatery (The Mara). Jiko is pretty good too. Their room service is also amazing, although they did remove press pot coffee from their room service menu recently, which was a huge disappointment. All in all, this is one of the best places to stay in WDW, and you don't even need to really visit the parks to enjoy your time here!

Tom P.

Yelp
Stopped by for the breakfast buffet a Boma but was able to take a walk around the hotel and was really impressed at the decor and ambiance of the hotel. Very nice and well constructed.

Johnny W.

Yelp
This is a review for the Jambo House location at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, as they have two different locations. The 1st one opened on April 16, 2001 called Jambo House; and their 2nd location is called Kidani Village, which was an extension that opened in 2009. Even though the rooms at Kidani Village are newer, Jambo House are the villas that you want to stay at! Jambo House is the original location, whereas they have the grand lobby, the Boma - Flavors of Africa, Jiko - The Cooking Place, and the Mara. The main reason why Jambo House is better is that all their rooms are close to the lobby, which is close to the bus station. They also have a much larger gift shop too. So I highly recommend staying at Jambo House for that 5-Star experience! As for Animal Kingdom Lodge, you can stay here and not even go to any of the theme parks. It is so refreshing to see the animals through your balcony window as you lay comfortably in your bed, watching TV, or cooking food in the kitchen, or eating in the dining room. As a Disney Vacation Club member, there is where you want to use your points at, as paying cash for a room here is extremely expensive. If you want to conserve your points, you can always get a room with a view of the parking lot, whereas the savannah view requires a lot more points. Even if you don't have a savannah view, you can still see the animals at the lobby area.

Whitney A.

Yelp
we stayed here in August and loved it. If you have any little ones who love animals do stay here. The room with the savannah view is worth the extra $$.

Michael S.

Yelp
Memorial Day week stay in a DVC Studio (Savannah View), 5th floor #5421. The resort itself is unique solely for the fact you have free roaming African animals roaming outside your balcony. This attribute of the hotel makes it one of a kind in an American resort. Disney pays extreme attention to detail at this property, especially in their choices for furniture in the rooms - using darker tones in the wood. The pool at the Jambo House leaves something to be desired, even if most people think this is one of the better pools on property. The pool is not very large for the amount of guests and the pool deck is very small - to the point of not being able to find a chair overlooking the pool, unless you are there first thing in the morning rain or shine. They have more chairs outside of the pool fence, but who wants to sit somewhere where a) you can't see your children in the pool and b) on the walkways where everyone moving around can see you sunbathing. The resort as a whole would be a recommendation for any Disney and animal enthusiast to try at least once - but remember it is off the beaten path on the property, so you will need a car or suffer through riding Disney Buses everywhere..

Art T.

Yelp
We absolutely love staying and even visiting here. This is one of the best locations on property, hands down. Yes, it's far removed from some of the parks, but that is the appeal, honestly. First of all, you're away from the crowds, so you can spread out a bit more. It's quieter, it's more peaceful, and it's more relaxing. Isn't that what you want on vacation? Second, there are animals out on the savanna. If you're fortunate enough to book a savanna-view room, you can wake up with zebras, giraffe, wildebeasts, and other critters outside your balcony. It's an unbelievable experience for any age group. Third, the theming is unbelievable here. The massive lobby has chandeliers made from African shields, there is a fireplace towards the back, and the incredible smells of wood-smoked food waft up from both Boma and Jiko below. Speaking of which... Fourth, it is home to both Boma and Jiko, two of the most exotic and delicious restaurants on property. Honestly, we find Jiko to be the best dining experience at the entire resort, though it's a hard sell to say it's better than V&A's (and yet, we do!). Still, the food is amazing, the experience is unparalleled, and even the Victoria Falls Lounge provides a unique watering hole before or after your meal. Fifth, the rooms themselves are spacious, comfortable, cozy, and inviting. We have never had a bad experience or poor night's sleep here. It is so relaxing, you really do feel like you're on vacation... or safari... but in a safe and comfortable environment. Overall, five stars by far. This is an amazing place to recharge your batteries, grab a drink or meal, or just hang out and watch some animals. I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
This is my first time staying at a Disney resort. My room was the standard view with 2 queens beds. I am impressed with the amenities/ambience they provide the guests but for standard of hotel rooms it is just ok. Animal kingdom lodge is about 20min away from Epcot and magic kingdom. If you plan on going to either of these parks for most or your stay, I would find something closer. Ambience: 4 of 5: the decor is nice. It does make you feel like you are on a safari and I did look out my window and see giraffes, ostriches, zebras, elks, and etc. if you are into animals it would be a good place to stay. Cleanliness: 2 of 5. There was red hair(my hair is black)dust in soap dishes and it was not removed the at all by housekeeping the 4 days I was there. Most of my sheets/towels had visible stains on them. I am slightly a germaphobe so was totally grossed out by them. The shower ceiling had mold that needed to be taken care of. I feel like Hampton inn did a better job of cleaning my room when I went to Hershey park. I didn't use the sheets and I bring my own towels when I go on trips. Service: 4 of 5: so far all employees are very nice and willing to help. Amenities: 5 of 5. I was really happy with the services available : From Disney magical express free transportation to and from airport; fitness room, onsite laundry mat ($3.00 per load), pools, bus transportation to and from parks. The onsite restaurants are decent as well (boma/sanaa) I paid roughly $430 per night and I don't think it was worth it. Cleanliness is high priority on my list and I feel like if I stayed at the lower priced Disney resorts it would have been more worth it. If you are into animals it would probably be worth it. I think they have a savannah view where the rate is $500 per night, I saw animals outside my window so it is not necessary to splurge. The animal viewing is not guaranteed. I give animal kingdom house 3 stars out of 5. I love Disney and will come back to the parks, but I may need to find another resort.

Tim G.

Yelp
Mind blowing! Exceptional resort with authentic African vibe. From the animals roaming the savanna to the culinary culture. Plenty of space and warm friendly service. I highly recommend at least spending a couple of hours at this resort even if you're not staying here. I recently spent 10 days here and my only regret was that we didn't have more time. Transportation to all of the Disney Parks as well as Disney Springs is available right out front. The Boma and Jiko restaurants here are truly worth every penny.

Stephanie V.

Yelp
Overall, I love Animal Kingdom, but the room I stayed in this time was below expectations. It was a 1 bedroom villa in Jambo. It's in need of some work/maintenance. But, I'm only able to compare, because I've stayed in other rooms. Some may not necessarily know the difference. While Kidani does not the QS, the big shop and multiple restaurants, I think Kidani is the better resort between Jambo and Kidani. The QS (The Mara) can be good and not so good. It depends on the food you choose. We enjoyed some drinks at the lounge and the pool. Both locations have a fixed menu on what can be ordered for food and the list is short. The lounge is not open during the day. While the drinks are expensive, they were very, very good at both places and the staff were great. No matter what, you can't go wrong with staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge/Jambo/Kidani.

Karen C.

Yelp
I stayed at the Jambo House which is in the Animal Kingdom Lodge and had a great experience here.We stayed in the Villas for the Disney Vacation Club and they came with a kitchenette, sink, microwave, refrigerator which was nice and convenient. The room was very nice. I loved the theme of the room and the resort. We had a view of the savanna and that was very nice to look at every morning and they had a couple viewpoints throughout the hotel were you could see the animals. From the moment we pulled up we were helped with all our bags and they took them to our room. Walking into the lobby was breathtaking. It's so beautiful. I checked in at the registration desk and they had my magic bands ready to go for my guests and I. The girl that checked us in was so nice. I had a couple questions and she went above and beyond to get me times and addresses. We enjoyed the pool and that was so much fun! They had activities going on for the kids by the pool. They had a cafeteria style place that was open until 1 am. This place has a store for any last minute gifts or anything else you may have forgotten or need during your trip. There's a bar and 2 outstanding restaurants. It was definitely worth it.

Karen W.

Yelp
There were so many things to love about our stay so I'll just stick to some info that might help others when deciding if they should stay here. Jambo House-4th floor w/safari view. 1) transportation could not have been easier or more efficient! This was our first trip without the security of a rental car & we were pleasantly surprised. The drivers were welcoming and every bus clean. You can get to any park around Disney. We were worried about posts suggesting the property is the farthest from others but we did not feel any effects of lost time or added challenges. Just know that the bus stops first st Kidani then Jambo when returning from a park to hotel trip. 2) the lobby does not disappoint. It is grand & beautiful. There are plenty of cast members who provide engaging, fun learning opportunities for the littles. 3) our room was large, clean & beautiful. I was worried that my "waking up to the face of a giraffe" might have been a dream (it was, but it did not disappoint!) we literally had giraffes right outside our room every. Single. Day! We usually saw them mid-morning through night fall. An animal guide is provided in the room along with info on each animal. It is s peaceful & exhilarating experience rolled into one. I wish I had remembered my binoculars. A fantastic experience. The downfall, you can hear everything. Perhaps they forgot insulation? If somebody flushes a toilet or opens the sliding glass door you hear it & depending on the people around you this could make or break the stay. At first I was bothered but quickly became accustomed to the noise. 4) jambo has one large pool, a hot tub surrounded by flamingos & giraffes, and a small separate baby pool. The large pool ranges from a walk-in section to 4 ft. Deep. Don't set your sites on lap swimming. The slide is nice but designed for little kids. My 7 yo liked it but complained it was too slow. The afternoon activities for the kids (pool party, water balloons, trivia) are a great way for kids to make new friends & have fun together. I was beyond impressed with the life guard team (Barbara, MJ, Ryan & Liz..i think!) they were courteous, attentive and work so hard in the hot Florida sun. Lots of towels-no need to pack any! I was a little disappointed to find out that we would need to take a shuttle if we wanted to explore the smaller, yet deeper pool with larger slide & kiddie spray park at Kidani. Its not within a brief walk. Schlepping through parks in hot sun all day didn't draw me to traveling so far for another pool. 5) food options were just fine. We mostly grabbed quick items at the Mara or the buffet at the Boma. Our meal plan became difficult to keep track of. We found if we used the meal plan at the park and at the lodge on the same day that the points didn't automatically adjust. We ran into difficulty on our last day. The front desk was overly-kind & helpful in resolving our issue. It is worth mentioning that, in a previous disney stay, we found the staff at the wilderness lodge much more helpful in this area. Maybe its a training thing for the staff? 6) speaking of the app- we REALLY wanted this to work. It did when at parks & fast passes but it did not work for us when accessing bus times and meal plan updates. It was hit or miss with bus times. Sometimes it was available & sometimes not. Rest-assured your bus will be there every 20 minutes. It is amazing. The app was mostly "no information available" regarding our meal plan updates. Who has time to save every bloody receipt to count? Thankful that the front desk was always happy to print out a copy for us. Overall, our experience was wonderful. We would visit again in a heart-beat. Savannah view for sure! This was worth every penny.

Such a disappointment! Disney should not be allowed to take your money and allow you to book here until they get it together. There's absolutely no staff, it's a total ghost town and is very eerie. The only thing that's open on the Jambo side is the pool but with no food/drinks available. You must shuttle to Kidani for food but keep in mind that the shuttle only takes one family at a time (understandable during covid) but have more shuttles on site so guests are wasting valuable time standing around waiting in the awful heat. It sure doesn't feel like you are on vacation if you have no amenities at all! We were also never told ahead of time that we were NOT going to have the club level perks (free snacks/drinks) we would've never paid so much money to stay there had we known. We feel extremely cheated

Yelp
For all intents it is closed. No gym, no food, no shops, no restaurants. What they are putting guests up here I have no idea.

Yelp
Well worth every dollar! The one bedroom suite has everything you could want or need. It even has a dishwasher and washer and dryer. The room comes with dish soap and laundry detergent too. One thing to keep in mind is the coffee maker is not the k cup kind. It has a fully stocked kitchen with pots, pans, mugs, cups, silverware and more. Plenty of room for four people. Make sure you have your camera ready because staying here is like being on the safari ride all day.

Yelp
Great place to stay for family vacation to Disney. Rooms are nice. Master bathroom is very nice. Walking around the hotel you can look out and see giraffes, zebras and other animals walking around the courtyard. Place has a great pool and fitness center. Restaurant at the hotel is unique. Staff at the hotel is all very friendly.

Yelp
I am really shocked that I am the first person to leave a review of this unforgettable Disney resort Animal Kingdom Lodge. It is truly spectacular! The resort has two parts Kidani Village and Jambo House. There are plenty of fun activities in both and lovely viewing areas with comfy lounge or rocking chairs overlooking the gorgeous animals in the Arusha savanna. The restaurants on property offer many delicious African inspired dishes. The pool area is one of the best in all Disney resorts. It is pricey, but absolutely beautiful for the wildlife and ambiance! A must see!

Yelp
My husband and I had a really great experience here from the moment we walked in, until now as we are about to check out. When we pulled up, I was happy to see that there didn't seem to be any parking that was too far away from the lodge itself. The lobby looked outdated in the pictures on the internet but when we got here it was beautiful. It was very easy to check in and find our room. The resort IS LONG, and it may take a second to get places but it is not nearly half a mile as stated in other reviews. No complaints with the room either, really. Yes, the side of the studio closer to the door can be a bit dark after the sun goes down, but the sliding glass doors provide plenty of light most of the day. We had a mini fridge that worked very well and a sink/coffee maker/toaster and supplies to wash dishes. It was very quiet at night, the only thing we ever really heard was the random kid running down the hall (it's Disney after all), or a random group just trying to find their room. We had a Savannah view room, and we saw animals of all kinds every day. Didn't get a giraffe close up until last night though.Still worth every penny. Food was standard for quick service and easily accessible. Jiko is amazing and out server Dawn was OUTSTANDING. While it is an upper scale place, people were wearing their fancy pants, guests were also dressed more casual also. Boma, and Sanaa were also good. Bar staff at Victoria Falls were awesome!!! Getting to and from the park was easy, however we didn't know until the second to last day that we got free parking at the parks because we were staying at a Disney resort. However as helpful as the staff is here, I am thinking we will be reimbursed when we get downstairs, we will see!

Yelp
Overall we enjoyed our stay but it was very disappointing. My husband left his sunglasses at the pool and they closed the pool due to bad weather so my husband was the last person out of the pool area. He went immediately up to the front desk and they said that they wouldn't open the gate for him and that he'd have to do a loss claim. So he did what they asked and they were never found as of today. The other horrible thing is the housekeepers, s we my daughter left her purse in there with her student ID a target card and some sentimental things with the rosary and now that missing. We take responsibility, since we left the items. Don't trust housekeeping or maintenance!

Yelp
I honestly don't know where to start! The atmosphere is very upbeat and you feel like you're in a different world! There's always omeone greeting you at the door with African garments on which I thought was cool. Check in is a breeze and have great customer service! They even have a fire pit inside surrounded by chairs! Rooms as themed to the hotel as well. We were upgraded without knowing until we got to our room and realized we had the Savannah view! It felt amazing waking up to animals outside your balcony! The restaurants there are outstanding! We loved eating at BOMA. The pools looked like fun (didn't go in them because we had busy days). And they also do smores for the kids and family. Overall, I didn't wanna leave! I'll definitely be back! Worth every penny!

Yelp
We absolutely LOVED our stay here! We recently visited Disney and wanted to see if the Deluxe Villas were actually worth the price tag. Since we frequent Disney often we normally stay at value resorts because we spend our entire day park hopping. Firstly, it is huge and a lot less crowded. The hotel is decorated beautifully and our room was very spacious! We stayed in a Disney Vacation Club one bedroom villa. We did not have the Savannah View but outside of our balcony we did see a few animals. The room was equipped with a refrigerator, fully stocked kitchen, microwave, dishwasher, and a washer/dryer. This rooms is perfect is you are traveling for a week or more. Everything was very clean when we arrived and the bathroom was huge! The tub was really hard to get in and out of because it was really high and the toilet was private. The master bedroom was huge and there were 2 pullout couches. Normally in Disney hotels you can hear the kids roaming around and the families outside but we did not experience that at all. The only time we actually saw people were at The Mara and Boma. The Mara was your standard quick service and the food we fresh. We had breakfast at Boma on our last day and wow it was truly delicious and worth the price tag! We really enjoyed our stay and have already booked our next Disney Vacation.

Yelp
My husband and I just love this resort. It is one of the most beautiful and peaceful resorts we have stayed at on Disney property. He and I have stayed here before and our experiences have been amazing, but this trip has managed to exceed our expectations because of Disney's focus on the customer's experience. This trip, my husband wanted to include his elderly parents. We always use the My Disney app to check into our resort. It is such a time saver! When we received the text message, letting us know our room was ready, we found out that the resort was under refurbishment, more specifically, our floor! We were given instructions on how to get around to our floor/room, which was a VERY long walk. Did I mention that we were traveling with elderly parents, one on a scooter?? So when we finally arrived at our room, our magic bands did not work, we couldn't enter the room! Then we noticed the noise of the construction. It sounded like the construction was right next to our room! My husband went to the front desk. He calmly explain the situation. That's when we met Sarah. Sarah listened to our problem, understood the situation and was able to find us the same room, just on the other side of the resort, still in great view of the savanna! Sarah, also understanding this was a mid-day break for us and our folks, gave us a free Fastpass+, since we were going to miss our scheduled Fastpass+. This was so awesome of Sarah, my husband's parents were able to relax and be comfortable knowing we didn't have to rush right out. The very next day, we were heading to DHS. Rivers was working the bus stop area. He was so nice, he talked to me and my MIL while we were waiting. We waited a very long time for that bus to arrive. And finally when it did, Rivers told us that we were not going to be able to get on that particular bus, because the bus already was at capacity for scooters. He promised us another bus were be dispatched right away. And it was! It took maybe 5 minutes for the next bus to arrive, and then told us he gave us Fastpass+ for having to wait. Wow! We thought that was just amazing, we didn't ask and we weren't upset about the situation....hey any pixie dust sent in our direction we will gladly accept!! A couple of days later, my FIL noticed that he lost his gift card that he pre-loaded for this trip. There was still a considerable amount of money left on the gift card. While at the breakfast buffet in our resort, the manager over heard my FIL. He said, to my FIL, that he hates to hear stories like that. The manager went ahead and credited our room the money that was lost, without being asked!! I mean seriously, where in the world does this happen....and not only once, or twice, but three times & we aren't even through with this trip yet!! It's the magic of Disney!! We will always stay on Disney property. Thank you Disney for going above and beyond!!

Yelp
Nice hotel, but I'm disappointed. Why? Walls are VERY thin - you can hear everything and I mean everything. You can hear people in the hallway walking by and talking. You can hear whatever is going on outside; pool area especially. Don't bother trying to sleep in because housekeeping staff love to shout conversations outside of guests rooms around 8:15am. You can hear the guests above you urinating and flushing their toilet. You can hear guests next to you and above you opening and closing their dressers. And no, I am not exaggerating or making this up. The lighting in the rooms, especially the bathroom/sink area is terrible. I know they're trying to keep the "feel" and atmosphere themed, but the lighting is kind of horrible. Good luck getting ready or even trying to tweeze your brows because it's so hard to see clearly without a dark yellow tint to your skin.. The layout of this hotel is weird. Lobby is on level 3 and you have to take the elevator down to get to most rooms. Some areas, the stairs don't go all the way up or down. Took some getting used to. The staff here are very friendly, but that only makes up for a fraction of the cons to this hotel. I've stayed at The Wilderness Lodge previously and do not recall any of the complaints stated above. Yes, it's cool to have a mini safari or savanna on site that you can see whenever you want, but if that's mostly what you're looking for, I'd recommend just getting your safari fix at Animal Kingdom park. ...yup, guest upstairs just used the restroom! It's a little ridiculous if you ask me - being able to hear all that.. In all honesty, I absolutely hate leaving negative reviews, but in this case I felt like I had to. I hope there's some way they can improve because I mean, it's "Disney" you expect quality.

Yelp
Wonderfully themed with tons of authentic art. The animals walk around freely outside and you never know what you'll see! Featuring restaurants and lounges, you can get a variety of food and drink. Very quiet and relaxing.

Yelp
Somewhat old furnishings, needs to be updated. As one of WDW's premiere properties, I was very disappointed. The square footage of the room is not enough to accommodate 4 people--(with the bunk bed configuration) only perhaps if you have babies or toddlers but then with the needed strollers and such, it will be very tight fit. Not enough storage space to accommodate 4 people to unpack for a 7 day stay. The sinks are outside the actual bathroom which leaves the toilet and bath/shower combo on a space where you can't shut the door without moving your knees if sitting on the toilet. Only one person of average stature can fit. WiFi is spotty and slow. Stayed at Jambo House 3rd floor with the view of the animals on the savanna outside. I would not stay on this property again.

Yelp
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge - Jambo House is beautiful from the lobby to the grounds. It's so peaceful to just sit on the balcony drinking coffee and watching the animals or sitting in the chairs or benches in the public area watching them. The free night vision goggles guests can use are a great amenity. Both Jiko (full service) and Boma (buffet) offer great food with options for the adventurous and non-adventurous. The Mara quick service is one of the best at all the resorts. The pool is great. The cast members are helpful and friendly. The free cultural and culinary tour are also unique and interesting.

Yelp
No safari tours if raining with any chance of t storms in forecast, no option for late check out past 11 even if you are willing to pay for an extra hour, non accommodating, paid 430$ for a single night, room was ok. food at Sanna was ok. Overall, nearly $600 12 hour vacation from our short drive in Clermont Florida. Will not be returning to animal kingdom resort.
