We really enjoyed our experience. The rooms aren’t grand and the resort is sprawled out, so there’s a lot of walking involved, but we loved it. With such a big resort and such a great pool, we weren’t in the room much, even on days when we didn’t go to a park. Most of all, I loved that this resort was on the skyliner, which we used as our primary form of transportation for our entire stay. The value was good, especially since we were able to take advantage of one of their deals. We would definitely stay here again.

I used to really love this hotel. And still do but with some caveats. The grounds are beautiful except for the ponds. Ponds are ugly. The rooms are great except the AC (when they work) are super loud. Our AC never got below 70F and it ran non stop. Someone else in our party their AC didn’t work well for their entire stay. Hot room. Hot Florida. Not good. The hotel feels very very dated. The lobby area is nice but the restaurants here suck. We went to eat at other places all the time. The main pool area looks very dated and the hotels just feels very tired. However, the beds are super comfy and water pressure was great. Access to the gondola was great. And you can see Epcots fireworks super close. So that was a plus. Over all not bad but if you get a hot room you will have a bad time. Prob won’t stay here again until they remodel. In the end the main purpose of a hotel is to test and sleep. So if your room is hot then what’s the point of everything else?

Some of the staff were amazing. We had multiple medical issues and the staff were above and beyond helpful. I can't stress enough how helpful and supportive they were. They were compassionate and understanding. Some of the setup was frustrating. Bell-hop service was not great. The main lobby, pool area, and dining services were a bit too far away from the rooms. You had to choose between a quicker hot walk or a longer cooler bus ride. The quick dining option was great. The sit down dining options were ok; good food just limited options. The rooms were clean and comfortable but a little small. The location was great. Close to all the Disney parks. Overall great experience.

This was a beautiful resort; the sunrise and sunsets were so pretty. Lots to do for kids (table tennis, pools, toasting marshmallows, play area, hammocks on “beach”, chess etc). Access to skyliner was great, we never had to queue for it (except when returning from parks in the evening). Room was clean and spacious (we opted for a 5th sleeper room in Barbados so our two kids wouldn’t have to share a bed). The feature pool was great, children loved the slides and theming. One evening was so relaxing on the sun loungers there because there was a steel drum pair performing outside the bar. We ate a couple of times at the center town market - making use of the pre-order app feature, and the free resort refillable mugs were a much appreciated extra! Staff were all so friendly, in the shop, front desk, cleaning and maintenance etc. Yes it’s a big resort but we requested Barbados to place us close to the skyliner and to the main resort facilities so it wasn’t too far to walk. |The one main negative for us was the noise of other families - so loud and inconsiderate when walking along the external corridors past your hotel room very early in the morning! Not great to be woken before 7am on the day after you land when you’re all tired and jet lagged. Perhaps the windows could be soundproofed more?

I stayed in an accessible room. I used a motorized scooter on this trip. I could easily enter my room on the scooter. The room was spacious. The room was very clean. The shower was excellent! I enjoyed how easy it was to adjust. The water pressure was excellent. The room was beautifully decorated. The bed was very comfortable. They had very good lighting. Also, there were bedtime reading lights.|I stayed in building 38, close to a soda and water machine. I had a refillable mug to get free refills.|There were nice sidewalks to walk and ride scooters on to get to the main office area or to the bus stop. I used the pathways to get to the Skyliner to go to different parts of Walt Disney World.

So this was our first time staying in this resort. I found it clean. The AC worked pretty well even though it's restricted to no lower than 68, but it did allow the unit fan to run constantly. Having a ceiling fan in the room was very nice. The moderately sized mini-fridge in the room was nice. Parking is a bit of a hike from some buildings, but nothing excessive. Our building in Trinidad was near the pool and snack shack, so that was convenient. I found the bathroom in the room to be excessively small but quite functional. There were no issues with water pressure, and it had two sinks, but they didn't drain super well. The rooms were mostly quiet. Obviously, this relies somewhat on your neighbors... ours were very loud (screaming kids, etc), and the room did a pretty good job of filtering a lot of that out. The bed was acceptable, and there were 6 pillows for the 2 of us, so that was nice. These rooms have 2 additional "pull out" beds, one twin and one full... how people would stay 5 to a room here is beyond me. No way I'd even consider that, it's almost too small for 2 people (adults). There are only 2 floors in the buildings and I would definitely recommend getting a room on floor 2. These are "motel" style rooms with the access door leading to the "porch" or walkway outdoors. Overall I was pleased with our stay. We wished there was: More shaded areas at the pools. More room between the main bed and the wall. More space in the shower/toilet area. More beside table area.

Room was comfy. Air conditioner worked well however it was so loud it sounded like it would take off. 😅 the street light came in pretty bright so we used some luggage to hold down the curtains and lessen the impact. Bring a good eye mask and you should be fine. Bed was comfy. Extra pillows. Coffee in the room was typical, not a keurig machine.

The grounds are beautiful. There is a great attention to detail in making it feel like you are on a Caribbean Island. The lobby was beautiful and the cast members were incredibly helpful! The curtain for the only window was too short leading to light exposure from the outside light all night. Guests walking by in the hallway could be seen with the curtains shut. It was truly a lack of privacy and kept me feeling a bit uneasy. It was a big disappointment to an amazing resort. The resort is close to the Skyliner which was wonderful to use to get to Hollywood Studios, Epcot, and The Boardwalk. The resort was selected for this easy transportation and it did not disappoint! Overall, beautiful grounds, helpful staff, lots of amenities, and clean, comfortable room. I would recommend this resort especially for those visiting and wishing to experience a tropical environment.

Yelp
We have stayed at several Disney resorts, from Deluxe to Value, and Caribbean Beach is a Moderate Resort with so much to offer. It has Skyliner access, a huge pool complex, and great food options ranging from quick service to sit-down dining at Sebastian's Bistro. Sebastian's Bistro is from the head chef of Ohana and is honestly just as good, if not a little better if you prefer Caribbean-style food. https://www.randomrecess.com/blog/best-disney-world-moderate-resort-caribbean-beach

Yelp
So for full discloser, my friend had covered the cost of the hotel and she has a season pass to Disney that gives her a discount. With that our price for the room was reasonable for what Disney, and looking at what their prices are normally its still in that middle price for Disney on the more affordable side of middle. It is a very cute resort, where the Disney super theming isn't all in your face like other Disney hotels. Though it might be missed if you have little kids more used to staying somewhere like Art of Animation, or Pop Cenrty. Any resort on the skyliner is automatically on my preferred list for where to stay. If the skyline is going to be your primary means of going to the parks, see if you can request a room closer to the skyliner hub. We would take the skyliner to HS or Epcot and then bus from the parks to MK or AK to not have to deal with busy resort busses or have to walk across the resort to our busses. As well we lucked out with a nice pick up point by our room for the time we ended up splurging on a Minnie Van for our group. The size of the rooms are really comfortable, especially if you are like me who is used to smaller rooms like at Pop Century. So, if you are able to splurge on a nicer resort, but still want the skyliner, keep this one on your list of ones to check out.

Yelp
Five stars because for the price this place is fantastic. I think it has a lot to do with which building you are in. We were in 45 Jamaica which was perfect, because it's right in the middle so we are across the bridge from the pool, yet we can easily walk to the Riviera for food/skyliner or the other skyliner. If we couldn't get 45 then Aruba 51 or 52 would be my next choice. I wish they had a ground floor, which we requested, but they only had the second floor. It was a little difficult walking up and down with the stroller, but not impossible. There aren't any elevators. Even though we checked in online, also check in when you get there. They move a little faster if they know you are there. The skyliner is amazing. If there's lightning it does stop running so be aware of that. For the buses, there aren't any signs that tell you when the next one is coming like at the Deluxe resorts so you're flying a little blind there. I liked walking to the main check in area to catch the bus to Magic Kingdom there, because it guaranteed me a seat on the bus (and since I had a stroller that was clutch.) Otherwise, the skyliner is the best way to get to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. We also took the skyliner to Art of Animation to look at their Cars area. That was so much fun. My kids also loved the pool. There's a great splash pad for kids that are under 48 inches. They actually check which is good for the little ones. You can find a deal for this hotel to be between $200 and $300 a night. This is like half of what a Deluxe hotel costs. For that price difference alone, I will continue to choose this place. Sure the resort is huge and you'll be walking a lot outside, but it's worth it. My kids also loved the playground and there's a lot of small beaches with hammocks. The vibe is so fun.

Yelp
If this was anything other than the Disney name it would be a 3 star hotel so let's call it what it is. They don't offer daily room cleaning, outside corridors, knocking on my door at 8:30 asking when I'm checking out. It's on Disney property so obviously the location is great

Yelp
Wonderful and delicious food with outstanding taste and texture to the dish. My favorite place to enjoy the sights and sounds of Disney people.

Yelp
I stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort since I wanted to stay near Epcot and the Caribbean has access to the Skyliner. Clearly I did not do enough research as I am not super comfortable with hotels with outside doors (like a motel) but I felt very safe and secure here. I was immediately greeted when I arrived and was checked in by Jess, who made me feel right at home by quickly identifying many of the things we had in common (she used to work at a venue in my hometown!) and pointed out that the cafe was still open once I was settled in. My hotel room was huge, with a king-sized bed, breakfast nook, large sink and dressing area, and small but clean bathroom. I couldn't hear people walking outside or speaking in their rooms but I could hear toilets flushing at all hours. I wish the rooms came equipped with white noise. What happened to those annoying old-school air conditioners that wouldn't shut up? They helped to cover up the noises our neighbors made. Anyhoo. We had a PERFECT view of the Epcot fireworks and could even hear the music! There's a path that goes about a mile around the "lake" which was a great morning walk before heading off on the Skyliner to Epcot, which only took a few minutes of sheer terror for those of us afraid of heights. I also took the bus to both Disney Springs and Animal Kingdom. It takes a minute to wait for the buses (and the AK bus drove right past our stop the first time around) but both spots are close by and the bus is free, so it worked for me. The food on premises was decent. The cafe is open pretty much all day and is crazily overpriced but offers a good variety and the staff is friendly. I did not get into Sebastian's Bistro but did visit the Banana Cabana (thanks, Chris and Kayla!) and enjoyed myself. It's very laid back and felt like a bar back home rather than a vacation destination. I absolutely plan on staying here again. I spoke with many guests who had been there before and said it's the only place they stay now.

Yelp
My new favorite Disney resort! We had a wonderful 7 night stay here last month! When we arrived we were greeted by bell services who offered to store our luggage for us. Check in online was easy and I was able to indicate my room preferences in the app. Once our room was ready we were able to go right to the room and were easily able to unlock the door with our magic bands. We called bell services and our bags were delivered quickly to our room. We were even able to have an Amazon Fresh order dropped off with our bags. We stayed in Jamaica building 41 which is the closest building to the skyliner. The room was clean and we received housekeeping every other day. Our room had two queen beds, and had a ceiling fan and double vanity. It was so convenient to travel to Hollywood studios and Epcot using the skyliner, and Uber could even pick us up and drop us right outside our building. The beds were comfortable, the water pressure was great in the shower, and the thermostat worked well. The mini fridge was perfect to store bottled water, and we were able to make hot tea using the coffeemaker. There was also an ice machine located conveniently down the hall. The biggest con to this resort was the size. We had to ride a bus to get to Old Port Royale where the food court and main lobby are located, and any time we took a bus there were multiple stops because of the internal bus system. We also found a few insects in the bathroom but no big deal. With the convenience and comfortable room, I would stay here again in a heartbeat! This is a great moderate Disney resort and I recommend it for those who want a step up for the value resorts and who want to use the skyliner.

Holly G.

Yelp
We booked here, frankly, for convenience and since it was last minute, it was our only option. I love utilizing the Skyliner, so that was the primary deciding factor for us staying here. We had stayed here years ago and my husband was pretty resistant to returning. Our experience was mostly negative. This was the latest we've ever had a wdw resort room ready for us, as it was well after 4pm. At a resort this large, I fail to see how it was simply impossible to place us sooner than this. We had requested adjoining rooms, as we were traveling with another family and this was not honored. Then at midnight, a family came into the room next to ours with screaming children until after 1am. At one point their children were messing around with the adjoining door to our room. Not cool. Especially when you're on edge about keeping your toddler asleep in the middle of the night. Though the gentleman at the front desk was extremely empathetic and did inform us that the timing was well within their "quiet hours" and the noisy guests could be removed from the hotel if they persisted. The quick service food was decent, And the room itself was fine to lay your head for the night. And the grounds themselves are quaint and appealing. It's really nice to walk along the "beach". I actually hate calling the sandy waterfront areas at wdw beaches, since it's Florida and they're really just reptile infested lakes and I would hate for any out-of-staters to be confused. But they do have the peaceful appearance of beaches. Wasn't my cup of tea, but doesn't mean it isn't yours.

Yelp
This resort is good and kind of bad at the same time. The good part is that I stayed in the Jamaica area, which was very convenient to the Skyliner (for Epcot and Hollywood Studios) and also the bus station (for Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom). I also wasn't too far away from the food court (Centertown Market) and lobby area thanks to a bridge that connected the areas. The bad part is that the walls are super thin! I know Disney can't control guest behavior, but it really isn't a great experience having a neighboring child scream every morning at 5:45 AM. I also smelled cigarette smoke in my room coming from a neighbor. (Guessing that someone was smoking in their bathroom, which then leaked into mine.) I did report the smoking incident to the front desk, which they just wrote it down on a post-it. (Not sure if they really did anything about it.) Theming wise, it doesn't "scream" Disney, but that's okay. You're really paying for the on property perks (like transportation and also early entry.) Would I come back to Caribbean Beach? Maybe?!? I'm a big fan of the Skyliner, the rooms were just "ok" though.

Yelp
We enjoyed a lovely stay at the Caribbean Beach Resort in November 2023. We arrived right before the Thanksgiving holiday, and the resort was beautifully decorated for Christmas. This resort is HUGE, so I recommend in the My Disney Experience App putting in what is important to you about your room location. We requested to be close to the Skyliner because we were going to both Epcot and DHS on our trip, and our request was honored. We were about a 1 minute walk from the little Joffrey's kiosk/Skyliner which was great. Our room was a 2 queen bed/fold out room- and it felt cozy for the 3 of us staying there. Really the only negative about our room is that the shower/toilet space was very tiny. We were also located right near a smaller pool which was great too. Challenges of resort- size (could take multiple bus stops to get around), thin walls, only stair access for floor 2. Benefits of resort- Skyliner, good restaurants, cute decor, nice vibes I'd definitely come back here again- though I like trying out new resorts on each visit!

Kaitlyn S.

Yelp
We stayed here in March for our honeymoon and loved that it was so close to the skyliner. It's a beautiful property and the rooms were very nice. We really spent a majority of a short honeymoon at the parks so I can't say a ton about the experience as a hole but maybe in the future we go back and stay for longer.

Yelp
This review is based on a stay in January of 2023. We stayed three nights, used the pool multiple times and dined at multiple resort restaurants (which I will review separately). Overall, this "moderate" resort is just so/so, with the biggest plusses being the Skyliner, the pool, and the other common areas, and the biggest negatives being the rooms, the bus transportation, and the size of the resort. Here's some detail: Rooms: pretty meh. I would put the rooms here on par with the "value" resorts (like the "All-Stars"). This is the first time we have stayed at a "moderate," and we were expecting something between a value and deluxe, but the rooms were no better than value rooms. Additionally, there were no elevators, and we had a second floor room, so we had to carry luggage and a stroller up and down a flight of stairs. Common areas: the best part of this resort. The main building is super nice, with a large lobby and a huge food court (you can see the EPCOT fireworks from the outdoor seating ). The pool area is great...the main pool has a large and small slide and really cool theming, and there's also a really neat kiddie pool play area. I'll review some of the restaurants separately, but overall this resort has great food and drink options. The island playground is great, and from what we saw, the other pools are also nice. There's even a Joffrey's Coffee location! Transportation: a mixed bag. The Skyliner is great when it's working, you can get to EPCOT AND Hollywood Studios quickly and easily on it. However, the busses were a nightmare, with many not coming when scheduled and some not coming at their posted time at all. Also, this resort is HUGE (almost 3/4 of a mile across), so getting around it may or may not require taking a bus (depending on your room location and ability to walk), which could add extra effort. All in all, we would not stay here again, although we would consider visiting it again for some of the food options.

Diana U.

Yelp
I was really apprehensive after reading reviews and seeing reels on this place. But i ended up loving the atmosphere of this resort. It is a very large resort. There is an internal shuttle bus that can take you around and to the skyliner hub, so don't let the size of the resort overwhelm you. We've been trying out various disney resorts every 2 months, and by far, their quick service has been the best! Not just the basic burger, chicken fingers and fries. They have jerk chicken which was an absolute favorite and go to. They serve several Caribbean dishes and all of them were so good. As far as service, i loved the vibes of the CMs here, they were always so warm and welcoming, no matter what time of day. The rooms were basic, not really big on theming. Very subtle. Pretty much the only mickey was on the fold out Murphy bed. But you can request to Trinidad if you're hoping for a themed room. They renovated to little mermaid theme. Note that there are no elevators, since the buildings are only 2 stories. so request a 1st floor if that could be a problem. HUGE Benefit of this resort is that the transfer station is located here, so you just jump on directly on the Hollywood studios or epcot skyliner without having to transfer. If you're building is Aruba or Barbados you can also walk onto the Riviera skyliner for easier access.

Michael H.

Yelp
I think for the price you pay this place is totally outdated. We had two big spiders in our room. The ac doesn't cool well and rattles heavily and keeps you up all night. You would be better off staying at a Days inn. I won't be coming back and can't wait to go home.

Paul V.

Yelp
This review is from a late January stay. I enjoyed my stay at the Caribbean Beach Resort and would stay again. Old Port Royale is the main hub if you need anything - I found the dining to be great. Sebastian's (I've reviewed separately) was fantastic and I was pleasantly surprised by both the menu and size/prices at Centertown Market - burgers, pizza, pulled pork, fish tacos, jerk chicken were all clearly popular. You can get a glimpse of the Epcot fireworks from the boardwalk outside, and the Caribbean Cay island has places to hang out, movies at night, and a playground. I didn't use the main pool, but it is big, with multiple slides and a overall cool look. If you have kids, you'll surely spend time there. Layout: The Caribbean Beach Resort is big. There's no way around that. Rather than a building or two that feels like a hotel, you have clusters of two-story buildings (each named after a Caribbean island) surrounding a lake. It was beautiful, especially at night. I really enjoyed this vibe with the building surround by trees and the right along the lake. There was a courtyard in between my cluster and each group has their own pool and sandy beach, which makes it possible to enjoy either without the busyness of the entire resort at one spot. (The main pool at Old Port Royale is pretty cool, and kids may want to be there regardless). In my experience the layout also meant less noise. It does mean more walking, however, if you want to hit up the restaurants, main pool, or store at Old Port Royale. Rooms: I thought the room was great for what I needed. The bed was comfortable, there was a fridge, a table and chairs, drawers. The bathroom area is divided into a room with the shower/toilet and a larger area with double sinks and clothes-hanging rack, separated by sliding barn-door style doors. If you have multiple people, this allows you to have people in each space and also separated. Some rooms in the resort had been recently renovated as well. Location: The Caribbean Beach Resort is next to two Skyliner stops, making getting to both Epcot and Hollywood studios a breeze when the Skyliner is in service. Disney's bus service is good for all the places it needs to service, but it can be challenging if a bus is full or delayed. I had a couple nice and easy experiences taking the bus, and also a couple that were frustrating and wasted time. My advice is don't be afraid to get a Lyft/Uber if you're on a schedule and worried about the bus - they picked up right at the entrance to my cluster of buildings, making it a good extra option. The Riviera Resort is also at the north end of the lake, if you want to check out the dining options there (or take a bus there, if your bus isn't around).

Yelp
I definitely left a review here in February 2022. Interestingly enough it was removed, and not by myself. I stayed here because there were no discounts offered on rooms at this time. I figured why not try using the skyliner. We ended up having to walk quite a ways to even get to the skyliner. The inside of the room is bare bones. There's nothing fancy or special inside these walls. Some of the views are decent when walking around the property. We used the Riviera skyliner stop and got to see their fountain several times. The food court is nothing to write home about. Out of 7 different Disney resorts I've stayed in, this is my least favorite. The size and walking distances are a huge issue for me. Nothing on this level should cost $300 a night.

Maria S.

Yelp
I was skeptical to stay here because I'd heard some of the rooms were old. I guess they refurbished them because ours looked brand new and was a king size bed. It was walking distance to neighboring Riviera Resort and the Disney Skyliner. We enjoyed this resort and look forward to staying here again.

Dianna N.

Yelp
I take a "girls trip" every year and we usually stay at the Coranado or the Port Orleans. This was our only option this time and I wish I had better things to stay but I really don't. The positive was the employees they were wonderful very helpful, the resort itself was a nightmare . The rooms were small and the bathroom was awful it was the size of a closet . The resort is just too big with the main building housing the food and gift shop. The one plus was the skyliner . The pool bar was small with no stools you just had to walk up and there were a few tables. I would never stay here again . It's just too confusing

Kristina M.

Yelp
A few caveats: 1) I research before I travel 2) I travel with a service dog, so ada is big with me. 3) I expect Disney to have amazing gold star service Prior to arrival, we asked (via phone) about elevators. The staff said yes, every building has an elevator. Great! When we get there, I look at the very cute buildings and think, there is no way there is an elevator in there. Prior to arrival, we also asked about a first floor room (for ADA Accommodations), the quoted $150++ per night, same room "class" just first floor. Pretty certain that's illegal, at least immoral and not nice and definitely not "the Disney way".. My friends husband dropped us off, so he was kind enough to carry the heavy things up the stairs.. I ordered some water, protein drinks and such from Instacart. They can only deliver to the bell desk, and if you ask for the bell desk to deliver to your room, they charge you. I told them, it was because I have an access and functional need, I literally cannot carry the weight and you don't allow the delivery driver to bring it to me, and you're still charging me? Yes. Short story. It costs more to be disabled at Walt Disney World. If you have a brain injury I also do not recommend this property, as every single building looks the same. The "villages" have different colors, but all the buildings in "Aruba" are the same color. So, you can get lost, and spend time wondering to find your building. I am akin to staying at hotels that have adults in them and running them. Like the Hilton down the street, that has a pool open 24/7 and a bar that's ops during bar hours, not closing at 9 or 10. It takes about 45 mins to an hour to get back from Disney Springs or the theme parks to this complex (resort is. It the right word) . And by then the whole Complex is closed. No night cap. No late night snacks. No cold drink. No late night dip in the pool as the shorter visitors sleep. Again the Hilton. Also, we were told there was complementary airport service. Surprise! There isn't. Use Uber or Lyft it's cheaper then the option the hotel tried to get you to use, and more time efficient. Close to the Skyliner - check Beautiful late - check The room was clean - check Staff was nice - check The hammocks along the sand box are cute. It's not really a beach, because you cannot go in the water... but.. nice sand gives the impression of a beach. The drink filler is in the main cafeteria/ quick serve area of the complex. And was hoping it would be aooooo worth it. It's not. Instacart. For time and money savings. The beverage fillers away from the center of the complex, are often out of service. I came to Walt Disney World expecting to love it. That's not how it ended up. I'd recommend this hotel to ... someone who I couldn't convince to stay elsewhere thats also a preferred property, that has actual services that adult travelers appreciate. This is a lovely hotel for anyone 18 and under, who has no luggage, no strollers, no access or functional needs, who is always looking to get more steps in. likes fried food, a comfy bed, with scratchy shower towels. As other reviewers mentioned this is not a moderate property; I'd still rank it at a standard budget complex. I did reach out to Walt Disney World Disability Services to discuss the access and functional needs... I am still awaiting a call back. Safe travels..

Yelp
Traveling with a 1 year old is no joke- there's a lot of prep and logistics involved and for a working mom who needed to plan a last minute staycation, I wanted to choose someplace convenient. Our family just recently got our passholder membership back and haven't been to Disney for many years, since 2018. We wanted to treat ourselves and experience the Skyliner- see what the hype was about. Riviera was my first option but for the week of July 4th, they were all booked up. I felt like the next best option to go for was the moderate hotel and since we were doing both Epcot and Hollywood, CBR seemed like a safe bet. It was a big bonus that I was able to get same night reservations for Sebastians on property too. Easiest booking by calling in (I wanted to check the rep if my florida resident discount or passholder discount would be any different) and the lady on the other end was super helpful and added extra notes for a pack and play and to be close to the skyliner. We had no issues checking in thru MyDisneyExperience app and even linked our room keys to our magic bands. We got the 2nd floor in a building in Aruba. It was a 10 minute walk to all directions of the resort: either skyliner station, the lobby, the Cafe, the pool... 10 minutes. For a young couple like us, it was doable, especially since we could push the little one in the stroller and get our steps in. Parking was right outside our building which is a huge perk! Loved that we didn't even have to physically check in and wait in a line in the lobby... super worth it especially if you're running on a tight schedule for reservations at the parks. The Skyliner was worth the hype. We walked to the Riviera station for Epcot and to the CBR station for Hollywood the next day since we were staying straight in the middle. I will say, if you stay for fireworks, be prepared to wait in a way longer line leaving the parks than coming in. It took 45 mins to get on the skyliner!! Also, while on line, pull up the MyDisneyExperience app for mobile ordering before 11pm to grab late night food from the CBR lobby! It was waiting for me and still hot when I picked it up after a long day at the parks. The buildings at CBR are nostalgic, makes me feel like I'm in It's A Small World. Very vibrant and quaint. Interior of our Aruba room was small and outdated from the furniture to the paint. The bathroom is also teeny tiny... I honestly would expect way more for the price and the fact that... you know, it is still a Disney resort. I saw some Little Mermaid and pirate themed rooms but I'm sure that's part of a deluxe package for the further islands... To be honest. It was such a convenient stay and the Skyliner (if we didnt do fireworks) was so worth it. I would look for more deals but would highly encourage renovating the rooms. It is in dire need of an upgrade for a moderate resort, come on!!

Yelp
Stayed here for my honeymoon and was promised all kinds of things on the phone by a disney representative when booking and didn't receive any of it. Was told we would have an updated room-we stayed in the Marquette building which had a room that resembled a motel 6. There were stains on the sheets, found spiders and bugs in our room daily, the bathroom was disgusting and was given a room with 2 beds for my husband and I for our honeymoon? Didn't say anything to the hotel because we were barely in the room and going to the parks everyday but hated having to come back here after a long day because it was anything but relaxing in our room. Unfortunately can't get this back since a honeymoon only happens once. Best part of staying here was the proximity to 2 out of the 4 parks.

Yelp
I loved this one it's one of the only resorts with not one but TWO waterslides and yes ok one is a small one but at least it's a water slide! Also it has a skyliner, unlike some other resorts I recommend coming here!

W Yelp Reviews ..

Yelp
if u like trading pins then u will like this hotel. also they're cuban sandwich tastes very good. disney is better than universal. so yeah don't go to universal (sorry if u like that place). but overall the resort is good. i recommend staying in jamacia or somewhere near the skyliner (aruba is close to the rivera skyliner that goes to epcot). anyway, disney is pretty sigma and u should prob go there :)

Yelp
Coming here for dinner at the sit down restaurant, enjoying the quick service, or just picking up coffee and walking around is a perfect way to end the week. Such a beautiful place!

Yelp
Grabbed an evening here before our day at Magic Kingdom. There was a pretty long line to get into the resort and we supplied ID at the gate. Once in, we were able to find our room quickly. Keep in mind that this resort is HUGE but everything is well marked. We used the Disney app to get into our room without any issues. Our room was clean and nothing fancy. The grounds themselves were what you expect from Disney, clean and colorful. We did not utilize the resort amenities other than the sit down service in the main building and it was just ok. For what we needed, this stay was perfect for us. I think we'd be fine with booking again but will probably want to try another resort next time.

Yelp
Ended up staying here since to hotel offered great transportation to the Disneyland parks. Lobby - Place is really nice and updated with absolutely great service. They also have a cafeteria to grab food on the go or sit and eat with decent selection. Rooms - Nice and clean with bed frames that are shaped as ships, but rooms aren't as big so you always end up bumping legs into the odd bed frame shape. Everything is good except I feel as if I was in a updated Motel 6 room, including the common grounds. Staff - Great service from shuttles, checking in, room service, pool staff etc. Pool - Great pool area that's fun for small or teen kids, they have slides and also a little kids area for the younger ones. They do provide vest for the kids too. Pricing - Its probably one of the least expensive from others but still offers a lot. Overall cool place with great staff.

Yelp
Enjoyed our stay here! Loved the pool and slides. Kids had so much fun having a rest day from the parks lounging at the pool. Adults enjoyed the bar beverages as well! We had a room in the building right next to the pool and it was a great spot to be able to go to the lobby for food pick up and not too far of a walk to the skyliner. Having a resort on the skyliner route made traveling too and from Epcot and Hollywood Studios easy!

Emily P.

Yelp
Awesome resort to stay at with kids. The food was good, front desk staff were awesome! Perfect for just wanting to watch fireworks and not wanting to sit through the mad dash of trying to leave Epcot. Definitely recommend if you're trying to have a tropical type of Disney vacation.

Ces A.

Yelp
We stayed at the Pirate room and I am so impressed with the details. There are a lot of activities in the resort and it is huge that we didn't get to explore all the villages. I love how the resort is situated close to the Skyliner hub. We went to Epcot and Hollywood Studios for our trip and it is so convenient. We didn't have to transfer lines because we are just steps away from the station. The staff were all friendly and made our stay so awesome. We will definitely book this hotel again in our next Disney trip.

Yelp
Tough one here. It's Disney so the prices are going to be inflated but let's be honest, this is a roadside motel. Nothing fancy, reminds me of an old Howard Johnsen's. The convenience to the Skyliner is what saves this park for me. I hate the Disney bus system so being able to grab the Skyliner after a day at Epcot or Hollywood Studios is clutch. Disney classifies this one as a Moderate hotel. I would consider it a budget option. If you can swing it you're much better off at Swan/Dolphin or Boardwalk/Yacht Club for the same convenience value proposition.

Yelp
This hotel should be called the Caribbean motel. No elevators, outdoor entrances, it's a dump. I stayed at a best western plus on the side of I 95 in South Carolina and it was much nicer. Pool is closed and the bathroom is dirty looking. The room is soooooo outdated looks like it's from 1974 and is worse than a super 8. Go to the art of animation and save your kids the headache. PLEASE DONT STAY AT THIS DIRTY MOTEL!!!!!

Leah L.

Yelp
Would stay here again. VERY CLOSE to the Skyliner which is important to get to the parks. Decent quick service restaurant. Rooms were cozy and clean but not dance and the bathroom could use an update. The most important part is the Skyliner access. We asked out concierge to put us in a downstairs room as close to the Skyliner hub as possible (Jamaica) and it wasn't a problem. The bell hop service was great too.

Yelp
This was my first trip back to Disney after getting engaged the last trip, so big standard to live up to!! I have never stayed at this resort during any my trips previously and was a little hesitant to change it up from my favorite Port Orleans. Overall, I would recommend it to others! Pros: -Sooo close to parks. The drives on a bus seemed so quick to parks as well as Disney Springs. -Skyliner! Loved having this as an option to travel to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Cons: -Huge resort (also a pro), but depending where you are can take a while to walk to certain parts of the resort -Dated, the whole resort feels dated. The rooms just aren't as fun and new as other resorts. (Note the resort was SUPER clean and had nothing to do with the feeling of it being dated)

Yelp
Disney describes their Caribbean Beach Resort as "moderate." We were only staying a couple of days to check out Animal Kingdom, Epcot and the surrounding Disney properties. The Caribbean Beach resort exceed expectations... Rooms: You can tell the rooms are on the older side by the design and size, but they were clean and comfortable for our needs. We were really only going to be there to sleep. The bathroom had great hot water and pressure. The beds were comfortable and housekeeping was on point. They even made a towel Mickey for me one day. =) Lobby area: The main lobby is spacious with massive tall ceilings and the front desk was great. The convenience store had ever possible snack or beverage (booze included) you could crave late in the evening and they were open until midnight. The Disney merchandise store was Caribbean influenced of course and had great Disney stuff The Pool area had an amazing water park playground for the kids. The adult pool had a water slide as well. The lake next to the resort makes for a nice background landscape. We stayed at the Martinique building and it was great with the bus stops. We were always the first stop in the resort after a long fun filled day of wandering Disney. I liked that there's a guard gate at the entrance for additional security. Overall if you just need a room to crash in and you still want the Disney feel in your hotel, the Caribbean Beach resort delivers. They have just the right amount of amenities for the price and you're still close to all the parks. Enjoy!

Yelp
After a long and ridiculous wait for the magical express I showed up to Caribbean Beach very late for a weekend with my son. All I can say is the ground are beautiful and all the cast members I spoke with were great but that's where it ends. The room we received was filthy. It was so late and I didn't feel like trekking all the way back to the lobby but it was so bad I couldn't even sleep. I left after the one night and moved over to the Riviera. These rooms need a solid cleaning and really a complete overhaul. They need to follow Coronado Springs lead. I would definitely rather stay at a value truly.

Yelp
Horrible " resort". Food is the awful swill one would expect from a high school cafeteria. $75 for 3 overcooked cheese burgers and gummy, overcooked fries after an hour wait. Ground floor "bungalow" barely fits the beds. Had to move the table and chairs to the corner to fit a mobility scooter. Bathroom is the size of a closet The entire resort is a joke. I would never recommend nor will I ever stay again. A Best Westetn or a Red Roof would have been a much better choice! Do not waste your time or money at this dump!!

Yelp
If you're brave enough to take a trip to Disney World during Covid-19 times, be aware that the "Magical" experience of Disney is muted. Most of the perks to staying at a Disney resort are gone. Only perk left, is free transportation to other Disney properties(that are open). Now let's get into the pro's and con's of Caribbean Beach resort. Pro's: 1) Sky liner access to Epcot and Disney Hollywood Studios. 2)Bus service to Magic kingdom, Animal Kingdom and Disney Springs 3) Accommodating and friendly staff 4) Beautiful and scenic property 5) Numerous pools all around the resort Con's: 1) Outdated, small rooms that are reminiscent of a motel 2) Very large property which means a lot of walking no matter where you stay. 3) No elevator access for top floors. 4) Only restaurants open are the Centertown Market(online orders only) and Banana Cabana. 5) Housekeeping will probably come once during your stay, if you're lucky. Caribbean beach resort is not a bad place to stay, but not really good either. Biggest advantage is the sky liner!! Maybe my expectations were a little high for a moderate tier resort. The price paid was not really worth the stay. It will probably be much better once the pandemic is over, but we won't stay here next visit.

Yelp
We spend 4 days in the Pirate Room at Caribbean Beach Resort in March 2021. We checked in at 2pm. We got a confirmation on the phone that our room was ready. We used our magic band to open our room door. To our surprise we got upgraded to waterview. We were 2 adults and 2 kids age 7 and 8. The beds are only Full size. One adult and one kid fit in the bed comfortably. No complaints about the mattress either. The pirate rooms are located in Trinidad, which is about a 12 min walk to the main building. There is a bus station in Trinidad. The buses take you to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom and Disney Springs. The wait can be long so be prepared. ( We waited one time 20min and another time 30 min. ) The Skyliner was in walking distance about 7 min from our room. It will take you to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. In front of the Skyliner is a Joffrey's were you can buy coffee and donuts. We went to the main pool with the 2 slides twice. It was nice. Water is heated and I was happy that the Hot Tub was operating :) Not far from the main pool is the " Island" where they play movies under the stars ( I believe 3x a week ). We ate at the food court twice. Once we got burgers ( I was not impressed and gave it to my son ) and the other time we had breakfast, loved the Mickey waffles but the little potatoes were cold and hard. We got a refillable resort cup for the length of our stay but be advised that because of COVID the only place to refill your cups is at the food court. Which can be somewhat of a walk depending on what part of the resort you are staying at. Overall we enjoyed staying at Caribbean Beach Resort and would stay here again but next time maybe closer to the main building.

Yelp
Stayed here during our Disney vacation because it struck the right balance of being moderately priced and on a transit line to the parks (skyliner to Epcot and bus to Magic Kingdom). We also were attracted to it for its amazing pool and pirate-themed rooms. We really enjoyed the stay and everything went well. The kids loved the pool (slides, fountains, cannons!), the staff were friendly, parking was easy, and our access to transit was superb. My only complaint is that our air conditioning was weak so our room ran on the warm end and the staff said they didn't have a way to fix it. But I would stay here again on our next trip.

Yelp
I am definitely a fan. And as much as there are reviews saying that this place is old and run down or not up to date, I think it's 10x better than staying at a hotel outside of Disney. It's so much closer to the parks, and the magic feels like it's constantly happening 24/7. I loved that this place was very private, gated upon entry, and the neighborhood quiet. I did notice that there was some construction going on across the water way, but we were out of the hotel early to even notice any noise. They are currently working on the new connecting gondolas that will go directly to the parks. So, when that finishes, it's going to be even 10x more convenient to stay here. The rooms are family friendly and suitable for the young ones. We stayed in a standard pirate room that came with 2 (pirate ship) beds. The theme was consistent throughout. Pirate skull curtains, a hidden barrel fridge, and crate drawers. Yes it was a lot of pirate themed things, but it was bearable and quite unique actually. Amenities near our room: -Disney Bus Services to theme parks -Room service -Laundry room -Swimming pool

Yelp
**For transparency's sake, I want to add a disclaimer to this review that my stay was comped by Disney's Guest Services. My husband and I experienced some issues during our Disneyworld stay in October 2019, and were therefore gifted 3 nights in a Preferred Location Room at any moderate resort.** That being said, I would gladly plan a return stay at this hotel on my own dime. Currently certain amenities and services are either limited or not available, but I never once felt like I missed out or had less than I needed during my stay. First things first, be sure to link your reservation to your My Disney Experience app. That way you can bypass the check in desk on arrival day and go directly to your room (your linked magic band will act as your door key). You can also use the app to decline housekeeping, or to make room preferences such as a specific building or if you prefer to be on a higher floor. Disney will try to accommodate those requests as best they can given availability. My room was ready about 10 minutes after the Magical Express bus dropped me at the lobby from the airport. I was in Martinique building 26 which is the closest to the main area and resort dining. It's also along the same walking trail as the neighboring Riviera Resort. I happened to have a breakfast reservation there one morning, so it turned out to be an unexpected surprise as I was originally thinking I would have to get a ride share there and back. Another perk of this moderate resort, is that it's along Disney's Skyliner route which will take you directly to and from Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Bus service stops are still available to get to all other parks and to Disney Springs. Jamaica is the closest building at this resort to the Caribbean Beach station, and since I was located on the opposite end I found it closer to walk to the station for the Riveria Resort. It was easy to utilize, and incredibly convenient not to have to wait for a bus as it's continually moving so it's ready whenever you are. Be sure to allow yourself plenty of time however, just to be safe since temporary stops do still happen. *Also note that currently the Skyliner is running on modified hours to lessen crowd flow, so be sure to take that into consideration when planning your park day*. My room was on the lower level, so I enjoyed not having to haul my luggage up a flight of stairs in the heat. I opted out of housekeeping to ensure I would be the only person in the room for the duration of my stay, and was pleased to find that plenty of extra towels had been left out for me. Special cleaning precautions were put into place as well such as plastic wrap around the remotes and refillable toiletries, and seals around the extra pillows and blankets. Everything felt extremely safe and clean. It was great to be able to mobile order my coffee in the morning and have it in my hand at the quick service restaurant 5 minutes later to take back to my room. The surrounding lake views were gorgeous, and the entire staff made me feel so welcomed and taken care of. I cannot recommend this resort enough, and also strongly suggest opting for a preferred location room. Utilize the resort map in your Disney app as well, because I find a lot of the time people will walk out of their way to go to the bus stop at the main building simply because they didn't realize there was another one closer to them in their own building.

Yelp
Wow this place simple sucks!!! Seriously I could you tell you all about the awful rooms, god awful restaurants around it, and feeling of isolation being trapped here. But, if one person takes this warning please don't stay here and what ever you do don't eat over here, the food is horrendous!!!

Yelp
We lodged here for one night during our impromptu Disney visit this past February and enjoyed our stay. Since we had planned our trip so late (just days before we were to leave), we had to split our 2 night stay between two properties, the Caribbean Beach Resort and Port Orleans resort. It was ok for us as we got to check out two properties during our visit and it was my husband's first time at Disney. Fun fact, my dad and I stayed here during our trip to the Magic Kingston when I was 8 years old so I was excited to come back to check it out again. I was glad it worked out that we were able to stay here. The resort has been renovated in the last few years and looks lovely but has kept the same chill/fun vibe I remembered as a child. Was really pretty at night too, lots of palm trees around a small lake and tropical coloured buildings. We also were excited to stay at this resort to try the new Skyliner transportation which just opened within the last year or so. As we were trying to get into Hollywood Studios early enough to get a boarding pass for Rise of the Resistance, we were glad the transportation was so fast. As we were zipping along over the highways, we could see cars for what looked like miles waiting to get into the park. Thankfully we were lucky enough to get a boarding pass and it totally made my husband's day! The Skyliner was also run to ride on back to the hotel, with beautiful views of the fireworks happening all over the various parks (we left just as the final evening show was ending to try to beat the crowds). Our room was very clean and well-outfitted. Not sure if all Disney properties have a mini fridge but ours did and it was much appreciated. Always nice to store bottles of water, etc and keep things nice and cold. The small table and chairs offered a great area to sit at to eat or plan the day. The bed was super comfortable and we found it to be very quiet the night we stayed there. The bathroom was also perfect for us, the toilet and tub area were separate for the vanity which was very convenient. Our parking spot was super close to our room which was awesome as we flew out early the day after we checked in. We had spent the day at Hollywood Studios the date we stayed at this property so ended up checking into the hotel fairly late. I really love how Disney offers a contactless check in. You simply download the Disney app, add your reservation and you can check into your room with a scan of your smartphone plus a PIN you choose in advance. So convenient! We ordered a late night bite to-go from the little market area around 10pm, which we took to the pool area close to our room. The food was tasty plus we were able to grab a few adult beverages to enjoy. As it was our last night in Florida before flying back to cold Toronto, we stayed in the pool as late as we could. It was super quiet, with just a few other guests in the pool with us. Super chill and I wish I could have stayed there longer! I would stay at Caribbean Beach Resort again in the future for sure. Hope to see you again someday!

Yelp
This is my 4th visit to Caribbean Beach Resort. All other times, I probably would have rated it 4 stars. This trip was disappointing. We knew before booking the reservation that this resort is under construction. But we also knew that a lot of Orlando is under construction, supposedly in preparation for Walt Disney World's upcoming 50th anniversary as well as the addition of a gondola that'll go from this resort to select parks (not sure exactly which ones). Our favorite part of this resort in the past had been the Old Port Royale, which was a spacious dining area with different cuisines. One day, you might be in the mood for American food, like a burger. Then the next day, Italian pasta. Then maybe fried chicken. At Old Port Royale, you and your party could order from various places and then meet together in the dining area to eat together. However, with the current renovations and construction, Old Port Royale was not available. Instead, there was a tent that was set up with a buffet option for $20-21/person (drinks included), as well as a food truck with four options: Bacon Cheeseburger, Pulled Pork Hoagie, Jerk Chicken and another one I can't remember. Those options were about $12-15 each. We purchased Disney mugs for $20 with unlimited refills for your entire stay (up to two weeks). The catch is, the mugs don't fit a whole lot and then if you want to refill your mug, you have to find the nearest "Coca Cola Freestyle vending machine." Ours was in the building over, which took a while to walk over there, stand in line for your turn, and then walk back to your room. Online, Disney posts that it's best not to select a room anywhere close to those vending machines or their "island markets" where they sell snacks and sandwiches, due to heavy traffic. The rooms at CBR are decent but nothing fancy. While they're considered "moderate" in Disney's classifications, we compare it more to a Super 8 motel. In the past, they used to welcome you with a towel folded up with Mickey ears (see photos from the past), as well as shampoo, conditioners and soaps emblazoned with Mickey logos all over the place. Now, they've gotten rid of all of that and have community shampoo/conditioner/body wash containers located in the shower stalls, like you would see at a gym. I guess it's more environmental that way, but it was fun in the past to bring back those little Disney containers for memories' sake. The buses and Disney transportation at CBR are what we loved the most about staying at this resort in the past. In previous years, we had only come during Run Disney race weekends like the Walt Disney World marathon or Wine and Dine weekends. This year, our friends wanted to come in late June, early July to celebrate our anniversaries. I totally forgot that this is when kids are out of school. As a result, the parks were PACKED, the hotels were PACKED, the buses were PACKED and the whole experience was less than stellar this time around. We are extremely grateful that we didn't hear any noise from any neighbors around us, nor did we hear any construction noise. The good thing about staying at CBR is that you get a magic band (those cool bracelets that unlock your room and allow you to charge stuff to your room). If you order your magic bands, i.e. make your room reservation at least 2 weeks ahead of your travel date, you can go to My Disney Experience to customize your magic band. That is, you can choose a colorful band and get your name personalized on the back. If you don't customize it due to now knowing about this feature (as we did on our first trip), or booking it too close to your travel date, then you'll be issued a gray magic band. On the one hand, we're glad we stayed at CBR so our friends (who were coming to WDW for their first time) could experience the whole Disney experience of Magic Bands and Disney transportation. On the other hand, we spent A LOT more money to stay on site than we would have if we had stayed at a Hilton nearby, using Hilton Honors points (as we had planned to do initially). My recommendations for myself and other Yelpers in the future: If you can, avoid the summer months. It is crazy hot and humid in Orlando and the parks are PACKED. Why pay higher prices for this frustration? Plus there is so much rain, thunder and lightning during the summer months. There were times in our day where it would be raining and all activity would cease in the resort, because they didn't want anyone in danger during lightning strikes. We will never come again in June, July or August if we can help it. Race weekends are packed but not as bad as this! Don't expect too much from this "moderate" resort. Usually when I pay $200 a night for a room, I expect nicer accommodations with more perks. This is pretty simple. The complimentary Disney Magical Express shuttle from MCO airport to CBR is awesome though!

Yelp
My kids had a blast here. I can't wait to come here again. There are no complaints that I could come up with. Can't wait to come and visit again.

Yelp
Excellent! What can I say- THIS IS DISNEY and pixie dust is in the air especially when you are polite with the hardworking amazing cast members! They did not have the wheelchair accessible room available at the Pop Century that I booked for my son and I when we arrived so the sweet cast member graciously upgraded without asking to the Caribbean Beach Resort! We had a room right on the beach/water and only steps from the SKYLINER! The beds were amazing and the only issue we had during our stay was an issue with housekeeping and they were available to come correct the issue right away and make sure that our stay was nothing but magical! Fully wheelchair double queen bed accessible room with roll in shower. LOVE the DISNEY H2O products! I would definitely recommend this resort OR any resort to anyone. DISNEY VIBE everywhere you look and to be fully immersed in the DISNEY BUBBLE is the ONLY way to go to Disney! Park your car, and use fully accessible Disney transportation your entire visit!

Yelp
Caribbean themed moderate resort at the Walt Disney world. When you come in to check in, they say "welcome to the islands." The resort is spread out so walking from the checkin to your building may be too far. The checkin Lobby will also be going through renovations, current layout is outdated. We weren't bothered by the renovation as we didn't notice it while in our room. But driving around you can see all the construction going on, hence the good deal we got for our room due to the renovation. Due to the construction they have limited food but there is a food truck and still can go to the food court for quick service and buffet. Currently going through refurbishment which is slated to be complete at the end of summer 2018, looks promising. We stayed at Trinidad North which was good, especially since we were across the bus stop to get to the parks. There is a tv screen at the bus stops that give you estimated times the bus will arrive for the parks or Disney Springs. Stay was pleasant and even better we got it at a discounted rate (ask for Florida Resident rate if you're a Floridian or Military rate if you've served).

Yelp
Three stars for the convenience of the skyliner, which is really the only reason to stay here. I didn't want to believe the other reviewers, but this resort is so tired and just feels neglected. The decor is lacking. It did not feel clean in this room. There was hair in the bathtub and there was a gummy with lots of dust under the bathroom sink area from another guest. Then I was adjusting my child's mattress and there was a huge stain with pieces of what appeared to be vomit. I was so disgusted. They brought a new mattress, but it took a long time and it should not have been missed. The good things about this resort are the playground, the proximity to the skyliner, and the rooms are pretty quiet overall. All things considered, I will probablg be staying here again because everything else is just so pricey! Disney doesn't make it easy for the average person to visit.

Yelp
Pros: Nicest staff!!! Everyone I walked by said hello and seemed genuinely happy. I even called the front desk to ask about the bus time for the 10K and the person I talked too was so sweet and we talked about the race she had just done the day before - also so genuine. Fantastic price! Some Disney hotels are super expensive and this one is not. And there are so many options for types of rooms. Great location for the marathon weekend! Buses were just down the road from Epcot so it was wonderful. Cons: Only thing I wish was that the bathroom was a little cleaner. I'm really picky about that; there was some leftover hairs still around. It wouldn't bother most people but that's a thing. Every other part of the room was great.
