Disney’s New Cruise Ship Is Packed With Surprises—Like a Cruella Piano Bar, a ‘Lion King’ Restaurant, and Lots of Marvel

This beach is only accessible if it’s on your itinerary as a port of call on a Disney Cruise Line vacation. The beach itself is a 10/10. Soft pink sand, clear blue water, calm waves. The grounds were created in a partnership with locals to celebrate Bahamian culture. It’s very well done. The only downside is the ship docs far from the beach which was intentional to preserve the coral reefs, so it’s a worthy trade off to protect the environment.

This island was a stop on a four day Disney cruise that I took back in April 2025. This was my first cruise. The island has plenty of things to do - shopping, relaxing on the beach, exploring the nature trail - Out of the two Disney islands that the cruise stopped at (the other was Castaway Cay), this one was definitely the best. If you walk south down the family beach, you will be in Lighthouse Beach, which is a beautiful beach area with hardly anyone around. If visiting, do be aware of the about 10 minute walk from the cruise ship to the trams that take you to the family section of the island. (Disney does this to protect the fragile coral reefs and marine life underneath the bridge) I highly recommend to visit this island if you are taking a Disney cruise!

We thought this beach was amazing. Granted, the family beach was pretty packed. However, adults-only was quiet and peaceful. I have never seen water so crystal clear and beautiful. This one slightly edges out Castaway Cay, and that's saying something!

This place is amazing. Disney has done as good a job as can be done providing access to the beach as possible. It really was on display as we watched a carnival ship be much much further out away from the pier and then have to send a much smaller boat to ferry everybody in for their side of the island. Put simply we were having fun at a much faster rate of speed and the beach is amazing! Incredibly soft sand, good food, and, after reviewing my photos they even managed to get a Mickey cloud for us (see if you can spot it) This place is amazing and was our favorite beach of the whole cruise. Well worth it and enjoyable for all 13 of us that went. Perfectly clear water, super enjoyable beach and perfect temperature of water when we were there. Kids were sad to leave which is always a great sign!

Agree with others on this. Who thought it was a good idea to build an uncovered pier over 400 meters long and then not provide a mode of transport? 3 stars because the beach was terrific and the banana boat ride was awesome Once you step onto the island there is a tram to take you across the island. When dropped off, you'll discover very poor signage to find where you're going. We followed the one sign we saw to follow for the adult beach but it landed us smack dab in the middle of the family beach. Luckily we were one of the first groups off and it was just the two of us. There were families complaining about walking for a half mile up the beach and not finding a place to sit. We were on the Magic, one of the smaller ships. I could not imagine being there on one of the larger ships. This was our 20th Disney cruise. We will avoid this port for future cruises. I love visiting the Bahamas and the Bahamian people are very welcoming, but this port is one and done for us.

Absolutely stunning beach – pure paradise! One of the most breathtaking beaches I’ve ever visited. The sand has a soft pink hue, the water is crystal clear, and the entire area feels untouched and peaceful. Perfect spot for relaxing, swimming, or just enjoying the beauty of nature.Very clean and the views are unreal. Highly recommend bringing a good camera and just taking it all in. A hidden gem!

Water was crystal clear, food was good. Very spread out with not a lot of shade while on the beach. Food wasn't as good as Castaway but still pretty good. The soft sand beaches and waters were very open. We saw plenty of fish and other sea life including a 4 foot shark. Maybe because it's still new to us we prefered Castaway Cay but that aside Lookout cay was beautiful!

Our 3rd Disney Cruise and first stop at Lookout Cay - we absolutely loved it! I’m not even a “beach person” and the sand and water here were so perfect it almost converted me. We had a perfect shaded spot practically to ourselves right next to a bar, bathroom, and showers. A lot of chatter is made about “the walk” across the pier but it was literally only 10 min with a nice cooling sea breeze. If you’re able bodied you should have no problems and if you require assistance they offer a shuttle. We also loved the variety of merch and the infrastructure of this island as compared to the more “rustic” Castaway Cay. I had also heard warnings about the flies around the food area but I didn’t think it was bad at all (they have fans everywhere and tbh if you’ve ever attended a picnic you’ll be prepared). Overall, it’s a very sunny location but with time the trees and vegetation will grow to provide more relief. I genuinely can’t wait to come back to this destination someday, DCL did an excellent job!
