We were super excited for our trip and this was our first time staying at this resort. Our room was very nice, clean, and mostly quiet. The hotel itself had very friendly and helpful staff, visits from characters, bustling for Easter and really great food! It had a playground for our kids, outdoor checkers/chess sets, and an arcade that was really fun for everyone. We enjoyed their Mickey Beignets one night as well! It was a quick drive to all the parks if you choose to not take their transportation. Overall, I would recommend staying here (we have stayed at at least 5+ resorts over the years and its easily in the top 3)! Will visit again in the future!

Another fantastic stay here. I requested building 4 as it is super close to the bus stops and food court for drinks we were however given building 7 this is almost as far away as you can be however it still only took less than 5 minutes to walk so it was no problem at all. I think all the rooms have or are closed to be updated so they all look fantastic. Resort for nice and quiet and is very centrally located. Buses were decent when we used them the boat was also good although very crowded and hot. Will be back in September!

Very good! I enjoyed my 4 night stay here but it was missing a little something for me. The grounds/establishment are very pretty and serene. I guess I was looking for some type of wow factor. I was solo but had a 2 queen bed room. The room was nice but one bed was too close to the wall. I used that bed to lay out my clothes for the day 😆. Again for me the room was missing a wow factor. The restaurants/food court was very good. Multiple selections to choose from. The beignets were delicious! I took some home. My only major disappointment was the employees in the Jackson Square gift shop. On the 2 occasions I went there after being greeted it was obvious that they were watching me. They stayed at a distance but moved with me from aisle to aisle but never once asking if I needed assistance. At one point it was clear I was trying to find the price of an item. I looked over at one of the employees and she was just staring at me! I had to walk over to her to ask for the price! It was very uncomfortable both times. I don't think I gave them any reason to act in such manner. I also visited the gift shop at Riverside and had a totally different experience there much more pleasant. Excellent shuttle service to/from theme parks and Disney Springs. All in all I will consider staying there again because it is very nice but I most likely won't visit their gift shop 😃.

My first time at Disney world, we stayed at the French quarter for 7 days. The rooms were very cute and good sized. They had conjoining rooms, shower and toilet separate from the sinks. With doors for both. Cleaning every other day. Lonny ares was nice, always someone around to help with questions. The food area and store was convenient.

Google
We really enjoyed staying here. Loved the theming, pool has a kids splash area with a couple slides and a large pool with a fun themed slide. Customer service as always with Disney is top notch. My husband lost his id in the pool and without even asking anyone they had already called me saying they had it. Food options are good and you can take the boat to Disney springs.

We have just returned from a week at the French Quarter. We had a lovely time and the accommodation was good. The location of the hotel to the parks is excellent. In the past we have stayed offsite and would never again. French Quarter is only connect by the buses but we found the service good, not having to wait to long for a bus. The longest journey was around 20 minutes to a park. The only downfall was we went to Animal Kingdom for rope drop to do a quick safari ride and then our plan was to head into Magic Kingdom. The buses only started to run at 10.00am from AK to MK, we had a reservation booked for 10.15am so would have been late. We took a Minnie Van (our driver was Phil) which was a bit costly but we did get to out breakfast date. Phil also was friendly and chatty. |The only downfall would be the food, quality etc was good but choice was minimal. If we had stayed for two weeks to eat at the hotel every night you would struggle to choose something different. But there are loads of places to eat in the parks 😃|The hotel is beautiful and a lovely space to get some Disney release after along day in the park with Mickey. Overall we would defiantly return to the French Quarter.|Oh one last thing we took the river boat to Disney Springs and returned by bus! We were not to impressed with the river boat, its extremely noisy, uncomfortable and not the pleasant relaxing chugging along the river we had expected.

Google
A solid 4/5. I liked it quite a bit. You can get the boat to Disney springs and get the bus pretty much anywhere. The rooms are manageable/okay as well. The grab and go is goo but there was a lady who was a bit rude, it’s fine though. I recommend this place for everyone on a budget and it’s manageable. I certainly liked it. Just please get beignets 🤤🤤🤤

We stayed here for 2 weeks and had a great time. Most days your in the parks but we did have some pool days to rest. Pool is a good size and has a nice slide for the kids. Also there is a splash park next to the pool with some small slides.|The rooms are nice with a decent size bathroom and large tv that you can log into your disney+ account etc.|The resort is quite small with only one main food hall but we liked this as we didn't want to be walking miles from our room to all the facilities like some of the other larger resorts. We did go up to Riverside as you can also use their pool but we preferred the pool at French Quarter.|The buses are every 10 mins to all the parks and go direct which is good so they don't carry on to Riverside which means the buses were always fairly empty. You can also get a boat to disney springs which took about the same time as the bus so was super handy although the boats don't run when there's a storm so if your wanting to get the boat back from disney springs and its raining you'll have to get the bus back. Last boat back is 11:30.|The food hall is ok. We had breakfast most mornings but it did get repetitive. Pancakes, waffles, with hash browns, bacon, sausage and scrambled egg. Lunch or dinner was good with salmon, half a chicken, beef stew with mash and vegetables etc. I did get a slice of pizza one day and it was pretty bad. Was not fresh!|If the food was a bit better and had more choice then I would give 5 stars.|We would definitely come back though.

Yelp
I could begin and end this review with "Mickey Beignets," and that would be enough, but French Quarter does have a lot more to offer. We didn't even get to check out Scat Cat's Cafe, or spend much time at the neighboring Riverside, but it was still a great stay, AND a much better time than our previous couple of days at the supposedly more upscale Contemporary. The grounds here are enchanting. It REALLY transforms you to New Orleans. The place is immaculate, and you really do feel the french, creole vibe. The pool was great and had a great slide, though I wish the hot tub was AT the pool instead of a short distance away. It really is one of the only knocks on this place. The rooms have been recently remodeled, with more upgrades underway when we stayed last week. While smaller than the rooms at the Contemporary, they were fine for what you needed them to do, which is get ready, and sleep in. French Quarter is the smaller sister resort to Riverside, but its, IMHO more visually appealing, and is the only place at Disney that has the aforementioned Mickey beignets. And yes, they are one of the only things that truly live up to the hype. Sassagoulas quick service was fine, and they have a great sundries/gift shop with a lot of options. I had a bit of a problem checking in, but one part was a technical glitch of their system, so I can't hold that against them. The other was more of a annoyance, but only because of how it was handled. Long story short; it was our first ever trip to Disney, and my daughters literal birthday, so I asked if there were any upgrades available....the woman at the checkin pretended to look through her tablet before saying that there was nothing, but that "at least I looked." What she didn't know was that my wife was standing behind her, and saw her not look for a damn thing before lying to me. But....whatever. It didn't ruin the stay; just something to keep in mind if you plan on asking for a room upgrade yourself. You are walking distance to Port Orleans Riverside, which has more space and the BoatWright restaurant, quick bus rides to the parks, and even a ferry boat to Disney Springs, which I don't recommend, but it's nice to have the option. I would TOTALLY stay at the French Quarter again.

Yelp
Disney's Port Orleans Resort completely took my breath away! From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the charm of the Old South--cobblestone paths, gorgeous gardens, and those serene views. Checking in was so quick and easy, which I really appreciated since I was eager to jump into the experience right away. The location couldn't be more convenient. Being right along the bus route made it so simple to get to the parks and back without any hassle. And the pool? It's incredible--huge, beautifully maintained, and the perfect spot to unwind after a long, fun-filled day. One of the most magical surprises was seeing Mary Poppins herself! I felt so lucky catching a glimpse of her during my stay--it was such a special Disney moment. And let me tell you, the food here is amazing. The beignets are a must-try, light, sweet, and absolutely unforgettable. Staying at Port Orleans felt like a dream, combining charm, comfort, and a little bit of Disney magic everywhere I turned. I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
My first time staying at this resort and a long time since the last time I stayed at a resort at Disney. It's always pricey but it's worth it if it's in the budget. Easy check in as there's one main lobby area. It has a food court area, a cafe, an arcade, gift shop etc. Check in was easy and everything was connect to your room card. Park passes, meal plans , anything at all. Very convenient. There's a main outdoor court yard with a map and the one they give you at check in of the hotel grounds. It's big. Lots of outdoor spaces, outdoor pool, gardens, giant chess and checkers board and more. Theres also a boat that takes you to Disney springs . Of course the bus stop is also right outside the main lobby. There are two bus stops with screens letting you know when the next bus is coming to which park. I stayed in building 4 and the rooms were decent. A little small but well set up and modern as well. I like this resort and will definitely be back.

Tony W.

Yelp
Love this resort. The clean resort is just the right size. Some Disney resorts are just to large but this is perfect I love that now in 2025 the room area all re done and very nice! Would stay here again for sure.

Adra P.

Yelp
Absolutely the worst hotel I've ever stayed at, like EVER! The cleaning service for the room is the wrost I've ever seen. We came back at night to the hotel room after being gone all day to the park and our room was scheduled for cleaning that day since they clean ever other day and let me tell you, they didn't even fold the sheets. The sheets were just thrown on the bed. Restroom u touched Like absolutely gross. How is this even a Disney hotel, I don't even know. The food at the hotel is basic or might be below basic. Most of the staff were rude except for the two ladies we checked in with when we first arrived at the hotel. For everyone reading this, save your money and don't stay here, it'll ruin your vacation.

Michelle M.

Yelp
Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter is my favorite Disney World resort hotel. From the moment you walk in, you are immediately transported to New Orleans. The charm of the buildings, tree lined walkways, and ambiance are definitely right on. When we arrived, our room wasn't quite ready yet (it was super early), but the young lady at the front desk was able to find us one of the same style we reserved that was ready. Once we entered our room, it was so cute! We had a Mickey head towel animal on the bed, and the most welcome tv message. All the little touches of the resort make it a true Disney gem. Our room was impeccably clean, comfortable, and well appointed. We will 100% stay at this Disney resort again.

Tharin W.

Yelp
One of my all-time favorite resorts at Walt Disney World. The walking options are great, as are the small scale-entertainment options. There are spots for kids to play, plenty of shade and ample seating spots. Plus, on the actual Fat Tuesday, Cast Members get to do a Disney-made employee parade which is a ton of fun. Beignets here are hard to get, as crowds can form quickly. But long lines are usually taken care of quick. They have standard, themed and liquor infused options.

Tamara G.

Yelp
Definitely would be five stars if it was not currently under construction. They are doing lots of landscaping and they are repainting the outside inside of some of the room so everything should be great by next year, but the noise starts around 8pm & lots of pathways are blocked off with construction. Our room was fine. Nice comfy bed & lots of comfy pillows. Had fridge & coffee pod maker. Building 4 was easy walk to the main building where there is a restaurant and then grab and go food for breakfast and other meals, as well as grab and go drink and alcohol. We never made it to the jazz club show. The pool was nice and relaxing. I had a couple drinks at the pool bar and the bartenders were very friendly. I liked that there is only one bus stop and so you don't have to hit a bunch of stops before going to the parks. You just get on and you're there within 15 to 20 minutes depending on which park you're visiting. be prepared that boarding of lots of motorized scooters and families with strollers do slow down bus boarding immensely even in slow season. There is a boat right now back that takes you to Disney Springs in about 10 minutes which is also quite handy. We would definitely stay at this resort hotel again.

Yelp
Stayed here for 6 nights in March, and it was a very comfortable stay. Beds are so cozy, I felt like we just plopped into the bed at the end of the night and fell asleep in minutes. The French Quarter layout is tiny compared to other resorts, everything within a walking distance from your building. Beignets we're a building away and the cute little food court which I very much enjoyed as well for breakfast a couple of days. Pool was down due to renovations, no issues for us since we didn't plan on using it anyways. We chose garden view and we could see the fountain from our room. 4 stars because they housekeep every other day, and for my 4th day, they threw out my shower cap but thankfully I brought a spare. It wasn't on the ground, so I'm not sure why that was tossed away. No more cute little shampoo bottles or toiletry set. Just a bar soap and lotion. Body wash, shampoo, and conditioner in those huge bottles that are attached to the wall.

Yelp
If you're looking for a hidden gem at Disney Springs, look no further than Scat Cat's Club Cafe tucked away in the French Quarter located in Disney Springs. After a delightful Ferry ride from Disney springs , me and my boyfriend arrived at this charming spot to indulge in their famous beignets. The beignets were really good, resembling a moist donut filled with a hint of nostalgia. Whole I opted out of the sauce option, I hear the chocolate sauce is a must-try accompaniment. Shaped like Mickey ears, they reminded me of a delightful funnel cake Service at scat cats was prompt, with our beignets ready in just 5-8 minutes. And let's talk about the price -three beignets for only 8$ is an absolute steal especially the size of the beignets. Getting there was part of the adventure. We dropped off new Port Orleans and took a walk about 6 mins to the French Quarter, admiring the scenery along the way. It felt like discovering a secret haven within Disney springs The ferry ride itself was nice, taking around 10-15 mins, offering picturesque views. However, be mindful that after 6pm, it can get crowded heading back to Disney springs Overall, we had a fantastic experience at Scat Cats Club Cafe, It's a cute little spot with delicious treats, and it's now one of my favorite hidden gems at Disney springs, if your in the area, don't miss out on this delightful experience

Paige S.

Yelp
This is our favorite moderate Disney World resort! The location is great, buses, Minnie Vans/ride shares and driving yourself don't take long to get to the parks and they have the added boat transportation to Disney Springs which is nice! The resort itself is a smaller Disney World resort so, even if you don't pay for preferred (a room closest to the lobby and buses) you still don't have to walk too too far. Somewhere like Pop Century is a no-go for us anymore unless we pay preferred, it's just too far from a walk from standard rooms to the lobby and main pool area whereas French Quarters farthest building isn't a far walk at all. As far as food goes, this resort also gets a A+ from us...the food court food is incredible compared to others! The jambalaya and gumbo are so good and flavorful! They have the good (but cheap so don't go expecting a lot) pizza slices and whole pizzas and they have shrimp and grits which I see a lot of people rave about. But what really wins here? The Mickey beignets! Honestly, that's worth the stay alone! The speciality beignets, holiday beignets, regular beignets...you can't go wrong with any of them. The rooms are nice, they're currently updating them and the updated ones definitely seem a little nicer. The older rooms have curtains to decide the bathroom and room and they have shower curtains whereas the new updated rooms will have doors instead of curtains which is way more sanitary in my opinion. The pool area is fantastic, especially for kids! The kids water play area is awesome, lots of fun stuff for the kiddos and the pool is fun with a fun slide that looks like a serpent! The pool bar also was great, the Bull Frog Brew is a nice non-alcohol drink (lemonade with kiwi and green apple flavors) and they had a Cajun chicken salad at the bar that was super flavorful and tasty! Overall, 5 stars...the theming is on point, the food is great and rooms are cozy! Highly recommend.

Yelp
We had come in early to Orlando for a cruise and opted to stay on Disney property for the night before our cruise. We planned a Disney Springs day and Port Orleans French Quarter is perfect for that. It is either the smallest or one of the smallest Disney world on property resorts; so every thing is a short walk. They have a boat that goes to Disney springs, so our kiddo loved doing that over taking one of the busses. Our kiddo loved the pool and a "drive in movie" where they played coco on a screen where they could sit on towels, blankets or benches in a court yard. They have a scat cat cafe we got beignets at. They also have a scat cat lounge where they have live music. As well as a "food court" type restaurant and a gift shop. This resort it's perfect for what we did, great for the night before the cruise with a Disney springs day. If it was on the skyliner we would pick it for our Disney park days as well!

Maggie H.

Yelp
Disclaimer: We only stopped by the French Quarter of our resort to enjoy beignets. This review is just about the beignets. They were called Mickey's Haunted Beignets or something like that. You get 3 beignets that are covered in what looks like cookies 'n' cream topping. IDK what was in and on these and IDC. So good!!! We split 3. Service was pretty fast. We ate outside. I'd like to go back to enjoy the jazz club.

Megan W.

Yelp
I really, really enjoyed my stay the the French Quarter. As is true with all Disney resort hotels, I received a outstanding customer service and felt fully engrained in the Disney bubble. The unique theming of the French Quarter is New Orleans which means everyone that enters the lobby hears sweet, boozy jazz tunes and smells freshly made beignets coming from the nearby café and sees a beautiful fountain under the glass ceiling. It's very immersive and can put a smile on anyone's face. I loved the small layout of the resort and the close proximity of my room to the lobby, pool (closed when I was there), buses, and boat service to Disney Springs. I think most rooms are close to all these perks, but my room opened to a large green area. This was used for the night movie (warning if you are sensitive to the sound/volume when the movie plays in the evening), and during the day I would see guests out enjoying their time on the grass. The walkways are modeled after a New Orleans old city street, and on occasion, you can see a horse-drawn carriage walk by taking guests on a fun ride. My room was clean and comfortable and came with some Mardi Gras beads shaped like a Mickey head. I enjoyed some live jazz at the Scat Cat club (played Friday- Sunday night) and the selection from the food court was adequate. As this was a small resort, the bus system worked really well. I never had a super packed bus and they came quickly enough that I barely had to wait at the resort or parks (a larger resort would mean waiting longer and the possibility of a full bus in the morning or evening). This resort was exactly what I wanted for my trip. If someone wanted a resort with more food or restaurant options, this might not be the one for them. However, their sister resort, Riverside is a 5 minute walk away and has even more food options. The boat ride to Disney Springs was easy and relaxing, and there are many restaurant options there as well. I would definitely consider staying here again!

Brittany S.

Yelp
Booked this for an anniversary trip and would go back. The food at the boat house is delightful and the walk between the two resorts is absolutely gorgeous. The rooms were a very clean and on theme as it was princess and the frog themed. Very cute! The only thing that would have made this a 5 star is if the jazz music wasn't only on the weekends as we typically go up during the weekdays. Other than that, loved it!

Candace M.

Yelp
First time here in about 30 years, but we had stayed at Riverside, this time French Quarter. For a moderate resort it was very nice, rooms are excellent, missing a microwave which we always like having. We walked to Riverside a couple of times & it's a beautiful walk.

Mike Z.

Yelp
First time staying at this Disney resort and it was amazing! The king bed room had a lot of space and didn't feel cramp at all. Building 6 was a short walk to the food court and bus stops. Unfortunately the pool was closed for renovation but the pool bar was still open to grab a drink on the way back to the room. And they have Mickey beignets!!!

Jennine K.

Yelp
This hotel is close to Epcot and Disney springs. There is a cafe (with the Mickey beignet), a food court, and a small shop that has snacks and souvenirs. My stay was pleasant except that my heater was broken. The room was too cold for me and I even called front desk to have them fix the heater, but it still didn't blow hot air.

Mayuka K.

Yelp
We visited this resort for the first time for the Mickey beignet. The resort was nice and they had the best beignet!!! We chose the chocolate sauce dip and the beignet was so soft and delicious! It's around $7 and comes with 3 pieces. Each pieces are pretty big so you can share. We loved it so much. I definite recommend you to try if you haven't!

Yelp
Port Orleans beautifully replicates the New Orleans, capturing the essence of the Crescent City. From authentically named streets leading to your room to its location by a river/bayou and the sounds of jazz, the hotel exudes the spirit of New Orleans. It appears to have been a motel transformed into a really cool family friendly establishment. Disney has truly excelled in their attention to detail, from the street names and decorations to the sounds and scents of beignets. Every aspect has been carefully considered. The Saggalousa restaurant serves as the heart of the town, offering meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Shrimp Po Boys, served with a creole remoulade sauce, provide a flavorful explosion on the taste buds. Explore the Jackson Square store for all your essential needs. Don't miss out on the Disney-themed beignets, perfect for Disney enthusiasts. Take a ferry to Disney Springs, although you won't reach the park directly from here. Opt for the "Minnie van" for park transport, but be prepared to pay $40 for a one-way ride. Consider ordering a Lyft for an alternative option. instead for $5-$17. You may potentially create another adventure for the family by taking the Ferry over to Disney Springs and then catching a ride to the parks. It's worth it to me, drops you off at the gate for Minnie Van or Ferry Boat for Lyft! The best attraction is the Scat Cat Bar with Live Jazz Band. Even though their performances are mainly on Fridays and Saturdays, the Bar's authenticity will transport you straight to the heart of New Orleans, making you feel as if you've been immersed in the French Quarter.

Cynthia M.

Yelp
I feel this place would have been a 5 if something didn't happen. During my stay a maintenance guy came to my door and used a key to let himself in, I hear this a got up real fast as I wasn't appropriately dressed( I had the door not disturbed sign up) so I pushed the door closed, he used his key again and pushed it again! I then latched the top lock and he tried one more time and couldn't get in. He then left, I felt very unsafe after this happened, I let one of the managers know what happen and I'm still waiting for a response. Hotel is very clean, amazing food and front staff are very nice and helpful. Hope they take care of this and it doesn't happen to anyone else, it's extremely scary!!

Donella K.

Yelp
FIRST note this week - Bldg 3 is under mega construction - so be aware it did not bother us except for alarm testing thru the day became annoying but signage - etc. let you know and of course, we wanted it safe for all. Our room was renovated and very nice - large - great new bath shower area. Beds were super firm we liked and decent pillows; one of my pet peeves - bad pillows. The one complaint - 3 in room; additional $25 charge per night for our daughter which I thought the room stated 4 occupancy but surprise on bill which I did not see until I got home. They are not flexible at all on prices so ran $350 and ex charges taxes plus $25 per night making it over $400. We did like swimming pool - cafes - music - movies which was nice. Small easy property getting around instead of mass bus stops - only one on this property and never crowded a plus. Easy quick bus to each park property which was nice; MK was longest. We would share AVOID special events - seems massive crowds we did the Halloween party and excessively overcrowded so could not ride, eat nor get near a show entire evening for $$$ not worth it; just would buy another day ticket to visit the park with out the event next time. Yes, we normally stay at other properties to walk into Epcot but they were sold out.

Yelp
Excellent stay. The resort itself is pretty small, but that's not a bad thing: compared to Riverside or the Polynesian, it's much easier to get around! Only one bus stop, baby! The rooms are clean. They recently got a refresh apparently. They're fine for what they are. You get two queens, a TV, fridge, coffee maker... Everything you need really. The resort is really quiet, we didn't notice any noise whatsoever during our stay. Unfortunately, the pool was under maintenance, so we weren't able to use it. It looked awesome though! Only one thing wasn't so good and that was the water pressure from the shower was pretty weak. The on-site restaurants are pretty cool too! There's Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory, and there's a lounge called Scat Cat's. Both are good. Sassagoula seems really underrated and is a great place to get an affordable (by Disney standards, anyway) meal at anytime during the day. The portions are humungous! Most plates could easily feed 2 or 10! Scat Cat's is pretty awesome too. Main thing you can get here are the famous Mickey head shaped beignets. They're as good as they look! I had them 4 times in 6 days! Anyway, French Quarter is a great resort, especially for couples. The staff are fantastic (as they are everywhere in a Disney property), and the rooms are affordable, quiet, and well maintained. But the main thing is the bus stop is easy to get to and will get you anywhere you need to go in less than 30 minutes!

Pamela S.

Yelp
How do I rave about this resort while keeping it on the DL? French Quarter is the smallest Walt Disney World Resort but still has all the charm and amenities. While not a value resort, this quaint resort was still affordable for our family. We arrived after a long day of travel and was greeted with smiles and warmth from everyone who worked there. Even the housekeeping staff insisted on taking our luggage cart all the way back to bell services after we unloaded our belongings...something that I do not consider to be a part of their job description. The food offerings are typical resort cafeteria quality, but we didn't mind since most of our meals were in the parks and Disney springs was a 10 minute boat ride away. Hot tip: get the caramel sauce with the beignets Pros: very laid back and quiet, pool has a water slide, splash ground, and hot tub, Mickey beignets, one bus stop making trips to the park easy and fast, great theming Cons: no table service restaurant (but short boat ride to Disney Springs)

Yelp
I stayed here for the first time in February 2024, and I cannot wait to return! I have celiac disease, so I was thrilled to enjoy my first ever beignets - they have both regular beignets and gluten-free beignets here. The property and rooms are beautiful, and I especially love how it simulates the French Quarter. Boats going to and from Disney Springs were an added bonus, as well as the jazz music piped throughout the resort. Getting to the parks was convenient thanks to the bus. It was great, having full meals available - including safe gluten-free meals - at Sassagoula Floatworks each day.

Yelp
Absolutely loved this Resort! I have stayed at 12 other resorts and this one has definitely made it into my top 3. I love how this Resort is smaller compared to others and my room was conveniently located in between the lobby and the boats to Disney Springs and riverside. The beds were comfortable, I only wish the comforter was a little fluffier. But everything else made up for it! The cast members were so helpful and friendly!

Yelp
Quaint resort with a Big Easy vibe... the aesthetics bring me back to my visit to New Orleans. Though this particular lion statue appears to be recovering from the Chocolate Martini @ The Outer Rim.

Yelp
Gott love popping over to the French Quarter for a few evening beignets or to even grab a nice bowl of Jambalaya.

Yelp
Amazing hotel, staff super friendly, wonderful property, food court had so many food options, room was comfortable and nice

Yelp
I have always loved staying on Disney property. Usually I get deals as an annual passholder and end up staying in a value resort. Every once in a while I get a great price and stay at a moderate resort and once or twice I have staying for a planned vacation at a deluxe resort. This was a last minute trip and only for a couple days to get away. We ended up getting an amazing deal at the French Quarter which is a moderate resort. I have never staying here but have heard how wonderful it was. It has now beat out Pop Century as my favorite! The resort is one of the more compact resorts so you don't have far to go to get to any of the amenities or the lobby from your room. The place is relatively quiet and peaceful surrounded by a recreation of that old Louisiana charm. You feel transported to New Orleans the minute you enter the lobby. The cast members are so amazing as with every place in Walt Disney world and you feel like you are coming home. We had an accessible room and it was spacious and very clean. It was a corner room with a standard view(overlooking the parking lot) but through the trees still quite beautiful from the second floor balcony. We were in the first building next to the lobby which was perfect. The lobby had a beautiful fountain, the Scat Cat club with a full bar and jazz music Wednesday thru Sunday, a coffee shop with Mickey Mouse beignets, a full food court that had chefs onsite and could accommodate any allergy, and the check in/ concierge desk to help with all your needs. There was seating around the lobby to allow you to just take in the beauty and magic at this resort. Pluto, Goofy and Donald Duck regularly visited this area for interactions and pictures with the guests! This was one of the first times I have stayed at a Disney resort and saw characters. They were all dressed up for Mardi Gras and the 50th celebration of Disney which ends in March. The King of Mardi Gras was also there, his name was Woody and he was kind and fun to be around. He handed out Mardi Gras beads to guests and made the atmosphere feel like a party! The pool was heated and even though I didnt partake in the water activities they do have a splash pad and pool area that is fully accessible for all guests. At the back of the resort was a boat ramp to take Disney transportation to Disney Springs for some food or shopping. The ride was so much fun down the quiet river, looking at all the wildlife and talking with the boat captians. The front door of the resort has a bell desk that you can leave your luggage with on the day of your departure if you want to head to the parks for one last hurrah or if you need groceries delivered. You can pick them up right at the bell desk! To the right of the lobby as you walk outside is a covered accessible bus station to head to all the amusement parks. The buses run every 10-15 minutes until an jour after the parks close. One of the best things about staying ON Disney property is that you can park your vehicle and take fully accessible Disney transportation everywhere! Just be prepared if you come during the Spring (Feb- Apr) for your vehicle to be COVERED in pollen upon your return! LOL! Overall this was one of the best stays we have had as a family at Disney. I want to give a shout out to the Guest Relations Supervisor Grace for finding a very hard to find reservation for us and being so accommodating and helpful! Pixie Dust is always something the Cast Members do to make your stay a little more magical and she truly went above and beyond! I cant wait to stay at this resort again!

Yelp
I haven't been to and stayed on Disney property in about 2 decades, so while I don't have much to compare Port Orleans to, I don't think it really matters because there wasn't a moment during my stay here that I felt like something was lacking! If anything, I wished I had more "downtime" to explore Port Orleans because it definitely offered a lot! Given that Port Orleans is a Disney resort, it has bus access to and from all Disney Parks, which was our top priority! The buses came frequently and we were never stuck anywhere waiting for long. Port Orleans also has bus and riverboat access to and from Disney Springs, which was a delightful bonus! It was definitely more difficult to get the riverboat back from Disney Springs and the waits in general to use the riverboat were longer, but it was worth the excursion a time or two - we took the boat to Disney Springs, but then would take the bus back as we didn't want to deal with the extremely long queues! The riverboat also has access to the sister Port Orleans resort - Riverside. We took the boat there once as well to check it out. It's also a cute resort and is a half mile walk along the river between one another or a 5 minute riverboat ride (not accounting for how long of a wait you'll have waiting for the riverboat to show up and be going in the direction of Riverside). Aside from the awesome accessibility to the parks and Disney's "downtown," the resort itself has so much to offer! Firstly, the staff here are phenomenal and were so helpful when checking us in and out, storing our bags, and welcoming us and answering all of our questions throughout the entire trip! For the pin collectors, there is a board at the front desk AND in the gift shop that you can check out! The food hall was okay! You can order from the app and pick up there, which is nice. There are a lot of options, but they're all mid. But that's fine because I was mostly there to get Mickey waffles of beignets and then the rest of the time I ate within the parks! There's also a huge water park in the center of the resort! It looked so much fun every time I walked by it and was open until even 10 pm or later into the night with people there having fun, but I never managed to get there to enjoy it! A few of my friends in my group did get to go, so it definitely is both kid and adult friendly, which we appreciate! Speaking of kids, my group (all of us adults with no kids) booked this resort because this was listed as one that was more adult-centered and less family/kid-centered. That, in no way, means that it isn't kid- and family-friendly though. In fact, I found that there were a ton of kids and families here, so I truly wonder what a more kid-centered resort looks like haha! All in all, loved it for the price, amenities, and accessibility! It's got a ton of character and is obviously New Orleans/French Quarter themed, which gives it a lot of character, and associated with Princess Tiana/The Princess and the Frog movie, which makes it even more lovely! Because our experience was so lovely, I would love to stay here again next time I come to Disney!

Yelp
The attention to detail in the rooms are really cute. I'm also surprised they actually had ceiling fans in the rooms, which I love. Everything was clean and the space is huge. The downside is that the boat does take forever to get to the park and back, the line to get back doesn't seem worth it. The beignets are Mickey Mouse shaped and are huge. They're decent but New Orleans is obviously better. Space is great if you want to be away from a bunch of kids and to be in a quiet area.

Yelp
We decided to do a surprise Disney getaway for the kids and found a great Florida resident rate for Disney Port Orleans. This resort falls under the moderate category which includes spacious rooms, bigger pools with slides and more theme. Port Orleans Resort's theme is Mardi Gras, and there are many areas with well groomed gardens similar to what you find in the Big Easy. The pools here has a really cool slide that looks like a tongue from a sea serpent. The room was also very spacious and the beds were very soft. We also used the MyDisney Experience App to check in and it also acted as digital key to open the door to our room. Our kids enjoy their stay so much they did not want to leave, which is a satisfying sign that the surprise trip was a success!

Yelp
We really enjoyed our recent 3-night stay at Port Orleans French Quarter, a comfortable mid-priced hotel that provided us with convenient access to every corner of the Walt Disney World Resort. Catch a bus for a short ride to any of the parks, or take a leisurely boat ride to Disney Springs for drinks and dinner. While not as extravagant as some of Disney's premium hotels, Port Orleans offers enough amenities to keep the whole family entertained. From the heated pool and splash pad to the coffee shop serving delicious hot beignets, there's a new delight around every corner. The kids will enjoy the playground and arcade room, while parents can chill out at the poolside bar and enjoy music and bourbon at the cozy jazz club. Our room was comfortable and nicely appointed, although the tiny bathroom was less than ideal for our family of four. And don't bother with the Sassagoula Food Factory restaurant unless you have no other choice -- it serves up forgettable, overpriced theme park fare. While Port Orleans feels like an upscale motel, it offers outstanding value for the dollar. I love Disney's top-tier hotels, but when you can't spend $600+ a night, this is a great alternative.

Yelp
Such a great hotel!! Bed so comfortable all the staff were amazing the food was great I highly recommend this hotel!!

Bella B.

Yelp
I would probably give this hotel a full five star rating if the pool was open. The pool is currently under major refurbishment and we were not informed prior to arrival. Otherwise the hotel is great! What you'd expect from a Disney hotel with great theming, a cozy atmosphere and rooms that make you feel part of the story. The French quarters main areas are themed around Mardi Gras so you get beads when you arrive to your room. The room itself isn't the most themed but the little nods to New Orleans in the decor is cute. Speaks of the main area the theming is amazing! The dinning hall is themed to a factory that makes floats for parades and has tons of cool mask on the wall! The Beignet Cafe has music items all over! The garden areas by the room building post beautiful fountains. By the pool you can even pose with some Mardi Gras Gators! Talking about the actually room the only issues I have are there isn't to many plugs;if you all have phones and watches to change you most likely will not have enough space by the bed. The air conditioner is also the loudest thing on earth. Aside from those if you're looking to let the good times roll at Disney this hotel is a great choice!

Yelp
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff were all very friendly, and I liked that this wasn't a big resort. After a long day of walking in the parks, it was nice to just walk a short way to my room :) The room was very comfortable. The tv screen even greets you with your name! The beds were spacious, and I got some pretty good rest. The bathroom had double sinks! The water pressure in the shower was also good, and the water warmed up quickly. The walls were pretty insulated because I didn't hear much outdoor noise. Housekeeping came every other day to replenish the towels and take out the garbage. The rooms were clean, too :) I utilized the water taxi to Disney springs quite a bit! That was a fun way to get there. I also enjoyed the magic mornings and shuttles to all the parks. There wasn't too much of a wait from the hotel, and there is quite a bit of seating, too. However, the wait times from the parks back to the hotel sometimes had a long wait. I would recommend this hotel!

Yelp
horrible establishment! Poor management. Tables at Scat Cat were filthy with powdered sugar on all tables, despite 2 workers standing around talking. Out of chickory coffee, and pumpkin spice beignets were only a spice added to powdered sugar-not even in batter. out of coffee refill. Sasquola Restaurant very slow service, almost asked for refund. Gift shop encountered employee Benjii who was very rude and humiliated me by accusing me of jumping line which did not happen. i waited to ask Him a question and the other woman was still shopping. Will not be back.

Yelp
We loved this resort but it's not our favorite Disney resort. The rooms are updated and the resort has a southern romantic charm to it. The pool area has a small slide and there is a little kiddie splash zone. You can take the bus to Disney springs. I knocked of a star since we had a small issue getting towels. The housekeeper did not come while we were at the parks and we called for towels at 10:50 PM. Still. I towels by midnight so we went to bed. The next day I had to go to the lobby and ask again for towels and they finally arrived.

Yelp
Honestly, I thought this hotel was absolutely perfect for my Disney stay! The grounds are really beautiful and definitely evoke that French Quarter, NOLA feel. I had a garden view room and it was perfect. The room was nothing to write home about, very standard, but the access and ease of getting to and from the parks was perfect. The boat to Disney Springs is easy and highly enjoyable. We spent our arrival and departure days in Disney Springs. We then went to Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and Magic Kingdom. The buses pick up out front and the process was foolproof. Definitely recommend this great spot! I'll note, this stay was for 2 adults. We didn't utilize the pool, but it looked adorable and very kid-friendly. They also showed Moana one night in the courtyard, so there are definitely kid-friendly activities, though I would say this hotel has a sophisticated feel.

Yelp
Stopped in here for some snacks and the venue overall is nice for a quick stop when nearby even without being a guest at the hotel. They have a wide-variety of New Orleans food available at the French Quarter and plenty of Disney food items to try, including adult-themed boozy options. Would like to return and try more in the future. Easy enough to access if you park at Disney Springs and take Disney's transit over to the hotel.

Yelp
It was our first time trying a moderate resort. In the past we have stayed at deluxe resorts and four seasons. I admit I was a bit nervous but we figured we were not staying in the room and mostly would be at the parks. When we arrived our room wasn't ready however about 30 minutes later it became available via app ( several hours before check in). Our room was located in building 3 -3302. It was conveniently located near the lobby. The rooms were clean and renovated and beds were comfortable and storage space under the beds. I only knock off one star bc Disney has not started full service cleaning yet, and only gives towels and takes out the garbage every other day. I also loved the beignets at scat cat cafe. If you're planning on coming to the parks, using the bus, and not spending a lot of time at the resort this is a clean reasonably priced resort not too far from the parks for those used to higher end places. I recommend and would do it again.

Yelp
Such a beautiful resort. It's so welcoming and even has a cool jazz club that opens at 4. Next to the jazz club called Scats Club is the Scats Club cafe. There you'll find homemade Mickey shaped beignets. I like to order the allergy friendly beignets which honestly I like so much better. If you walk over to the Plantation side of the resort you will feel like you're in the garden district of New Orleans.

Yelp
We had such a great time staying at this resort! First of all, Disney knows how to make your check-in process completely seamless! With the app, you can be able to check-in, get your room number and head straight to your room without ever needing to talk to anyone at registration...it really is impressive how they have this down to a science. This resort has the Mickey beignets which you won't find anywhere else at the WDW property (unlike here in California). They even have the boozy beignets, which unfortunately we didn't have the chance to try this time around. They also have a waterboat that will take you from the resort directly to Disney Springs. It's such a nice add-on and a relaxing way to take in your WDW experience, especially since you can be sure to do a lot of walking. The rooms itself are decent. They're considered "moderate" rooms, so don't expect Vegas style rooms. You'll also find they have horse carriages you can get on for an additional cost. Their pool is nice, but a bit more on the kiddish side. I couldn't really find a good place to lounge where we wouldn't find kids around, but I guess that's what you get for staying at a WDW resort. Pro-tip: Plan your trip way in advance to lock-in the best deals. These rooms average at $250/night which could easily add up, especially if you're going to visit the parks as well. I saw some room rates on Google for about $180, which is a savings IMO!

Yelp
This is brother or sister or just the French style resort that is very similar to the Disney Port Orleans Campus. The Disney Port Orleans Resort French Quarter campus is spread out over many acres of land. The hotels resemble the French Quarters mansions that are mostly three floors each. There are scattered pool areas that you could find either by a short walk or long walk depending upon where you are located. The main lobby has that old style French Quarter appeal with a bar area, general store and arcade. The bar area has plenty of seating with entertainment at night. Also one can find a dining area for dinner only along with a food court adjacent to the dining area. If you want a ride on a river boat to the Disney parks, one can find them outside of the main lobby. Nice physicality to bring children to the Disney Resort area. I would rather be in a less spread out area only because of the time management of the resort activities

Yelp
Where do I begin? What a gorgeous resort! Let's just say this is the only moderate resort I will go back to! This resort was the smallest one I've stayed at on Disney property. I have stayed at other moderate resorts and I'll be honest, they were just too big and it was overwhelming. Pros: - This Resort was small and everything was close to eachother. It was only a 3 min walk from my room to the lobby, food court and buses. - The main pool and hot tub was close also to the lobby and food court. - The food court wasn't huge, it was a decent size with 4 stations that offered a great selection of foods. The food was excellent! I ordered their Applewood Smoked Bacon Cheeseburger with Steak Fries and it was tender and juicy! Delish! - Scat Cat's Club Cafe was the place that sells the homemade beignets! (That a must get when you go!) - The room was clean, neat, and the beds were super comfy. There are two sinks next to the bathroom which was great! - There is a boat that takes you to Disney Springs from this resort which is a plus! Instead of taking the bus, take the boat and it's only a 10 min drive. Cons: - Our maid unfortunately did not come two days to clean..and the other days she only made the beds and vacuumed the floors. The sinks still had toothpaste stains on the counter and there was still towels/washcloths piled up on the floor and in the tub. We did have to call the front desk for a new bath mat, new towels and washcloths which was annoying. - We wanted to do laundry while we were there but the machine to buy detergent was out of order..so we had to use the Disney's body wash to wash our own clothes in the sink. Besides this cons, the resort itself was absolutely gorgeous and I would recommend staying here. If your looking for a smaller Disney resort to stay at, i would highly recommend this one! This one is more low-key, laid back, relaxing and not as loud as the other ones. Can't wait to come back and stay here again!

Yelp
The French Quarter is definitely a wonderful place to stay on the Disney property if you are looking for a resort that is more low key. I loved the quaintness and atmosphere. It seemed more mellow than some of the other resorts I have stayed at prior. The food was okay and the staff was always ready to help. I must say, the bus issues need sorted out though. More often than not, Port Orleans lines at bus stations were outrageous. We were the only resort that seemed to have this issue despite having a smaller number of room. It could be upwards of 40 or more minutes before a bus arrived and, at that point, there were so many people in line, we had to cram everyone onto it. It seemed like a lack of proper planning and a safety concern. The French Quarter has many perks, but I'm cautious to stay again because of the transportation issues.

Sarah B.

Yelp
It's fun for a moderate priced resort but the buses are very slow and it's far away from everything. I think Walt Disney World in general is going downhill. everything is so overpriced!!! you could easily have a trip to the Caribbean for half the price as a trip to Disney World. But Port Orleans is a fun family resort. it's worth going once but I definitely would not go again.

Tiff H.

Yelp
I'm not sure what I was expecting staying at the Port Orleans, but after hanging out in the lobby/cafeteria area a few times, I was pretty excited for my stay here, even if it was just for one night. The lobby always seems to have something going on. Once, they were handing out free Christmas cookies and lemonade. Everyone is very friendly and nice, and I felt like I was at a Disney park. There is free WiFi both in the lobby and the resort, as well as the rooms. I got a chance to explore the large cafeteria, which had multiple food options. The beignets are not like Cafe du Monde but they're pretty tasty. Prices are mostly reasonable, although it IS a Disney resort - food and stay is much more expensive than the usual hotels or restaurants. I enjoyed the Scat Cat Club, which served some alcoholic beverages, too. The self-playing piano was fun for the first 5 minutes and ended up getting a little annoying toward the end of the night. The gift shop has some limited but great Disney merchandise, which is nice because now you won't need to lug it back from the parks! I was not a HUGE fan of the room. The lights were very dim, both in the bathroom as well as in the bedroom. The bathroom was very dark, which was very odd. Must be some energy-saving lightbulbs or something. Also, it was super cute that they used Mardi Gras beads in the shape of a Mickey Mouse head on one bed, but didn't finish the pattern on the second bed, which was weird. There are some nice shuttle bus options for you, too. To the Disney parks, you can take the shuttles that come on a schedule - there's a board that shows the times of arrival. You can also take the shuttle to Disney Springs. If you're looking for something a little more fun and scenic, I would suggest taking the boats to Disney Springs. The loading dock is located out back past the playground and mini water park. When I stayed here for the Disney Marathon weekend, they provided some convenient shuttle service to the race, but I did not like how the shuttles started running at 3am and stopped at 3:30 when the race didn't even start until 5:30am. Overall, the place is definitely a little overpriced. But hey, it's Disney, so what do you expect? But if you find the convenience to be worth it, it's worth at least a one-time experience.
