Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park

So this was included with our stay at the Caribbean Resort. We got free access the day of our arrival. A great Disney perk, no doubt. Is it worth $74, maybe, I guess if you are there all day? We brought trunks/suits to change into and had a great few hours though for sure. The attractions are close enough that you can do several of them at a time before moving on to the next set. Keehaul Falls was good for our family of 5. Mayday Falls is pretty much like Keehaul but for individual riders. Didn't make it to the Crush N' Gusher or Castaway Creek, but the true lagoon gives off a massive set of waves that will test the best of body surfers! Ample lockers and restrooms/changing areas. We parked our personal car within a reasonable range as directed by staff but also saw spots open two rows closer, I'm sure it's just a rotating pattern. The best attraction is Humunga Kowabunga. My most timid child rode this with me until I thought we'd drop. Plenty of light eats places located throughout. Only drawback may be seating for the manmade beaches, the chairs were fairly full.

This was a genuinely fun and refreshing Disney water park experience. I enjoyed it far more than expected, and the food was surprisingly better than what I’ve had at Disney World perhaps helped by all the swimming, which somehow makes everything taste better. I especially liked the souvenir cup with unlimited refills throughout the park. It’s a smart and convenient concept, and honestly something Disney World itself should consider adopting. The park offers a good variety of slides, is well maintained, and feels thoughtfully designed for families. One of my favorite moments was simply sunbathing in the sand area with my husband a relaxing contrast to the more energetic attractions. Ticket pricing felt reasonable: not cheap, not excessive, though clearly influenced by the Disney brand when compared to places like Aquatica. Overall, it was a satisfying day spent under the Orlando sun easygoing, enjoyable, and well worth the visit.

We had a great time during our first visit to Disney's Typhoon Lagoon. The water park is the smalled we have ever been too, which felt cozy and easier to navigate. We were pleasantly surprised by the number of family rides, since it allowed us to make more memories with the kids. Complimentary towels available at the shop. The wave pool was lots of fun, but it can be a bit too strong for littles, so beware. We ended up losing one of the kids' shoe, and getting a few knee scrapes, which added to fun lol We ended up visiting the first aid office, and we were very happy with the attention we received by the nurse on staff. The food was hands down the best we've tried at any Disney Park, which was another amazing surprise. We tried the burgers and rice with shrimp (forgot the item name), and everything was so delicious. We will definitely visit again and again, we loved our first visit.

Weather was perfect for today, Monday, end of November 2025. Kids had fun, barely any lines to wait in. Staff was friendly. The wave pool was great, the wave is really big. We got thrown back. Kids enjoyed that for a long time.

Great experience. Short lines for attractions now in October. Family friendly and lots attractions for solo riders. The best attraction by far doesn't have a line and it's the wave pool with those tsunami-like waves. The crushers were very good as well. Not the most thrilling water park I've been to. But certainly one of the most charming ones to have a pleasant day. Perfect combination I would say, for all kind of people

Typhoon Lagoon is an absolute tropical paradise and was easily the highlight of our entire vacation. From the moment you walk in, the "shipwrecked" theme is incredibly immersive, making you feel like you’ve been transported to a remote island hideaway. While there is so much to do, the absolute standout for our entire group was the Surf Pool. It is hands-down the best wave pool we have ever experienced. Unlike the gentle bobbing waves at most parks, these are massive, six-foot swells that come through with a powerful "sonic boom" sound that gets everyone excited. We spent hours just waiting for that next big crest to hit; it was everyone’s favorite part of the day by far. ​The variety of slides is also impressive, catering perfectly to both families and those riding solo. For our family time, we loved Miss Adventure Falls, which is a four-person raft adventure that even features a fun animatronic parrot at the start. It felt more like a themed Disney attraction than just a standard water slide. We also had a blast on Gangplank Falls, where we could all pile into one giant inner tube and navigate the rapids together. It’s the perfect way to share some laughs without anyone feeling left out of the action. ​When some of us went off as single riders, the thrills really stepped up. Mayday Falls is a must-do for anyone riding alone, as it’s the highest and longest tube slide in the park with plenty of bumps and speed. For the true adrenaline junkies, Humunga Kowabunga offers a near-vertical drop in the dark that is over in a flash but leaves your heart racing. We also couldn't get enough of Crush ‘n’ Gusher, the "water coaster" that uses powerful jets to blast you uphill. Whether you go solo or with a partner, the sheer speed and airtime on those three different fruit-themed chutes are unmatched. ​Even the food exceeded our expectations for a water park. We highly recommend the Pork Elote Nachos at Leaning Palms for something savory, and for dessert, the Dole Whip Bathtub Sundae at the Snack Shack is a total showstopper. It comes in a cute souvenir tub and was plenty for the whole family to share. Between the heart-pounding slides, the relaxing Castaway Creek lazy river, and that incredible wave pool, Typhoon Lagoon is a five-star experience that we can't wait to visit again.

I love this water park. I added it onto my pass and my friends and I go quite frequently. The summer months are terribly crowded but winter isn’t bad. I wish they’d have more floaters with the chair for lazy river as opposed to regular tubes. When it’s busy it’s hard to find a floating chair. The wave pool is fun but watch little ones because the waves hit hard even in shallow waters.

Great water park to return to,easy to relax and take in the sun with some big waves that will take you off your feet. Not a huge amount of rides for adults,but we knew that. Complimentary towels,just ask anytime,more parks should be like this,good to be back.

My wife, kids, and I had an amazing day here on our recent trip. Our cabana server, Mariam, was the best! She worked so hard all day to make sure we had everything we needed. Joe at the front gate was also an awesome guy helping us out with everything. Both made for an unforgettable experience. The setup of the park is perfect, not too big or too small. We spent a lot of time on the lazy river which our kids loved. They have a really nice kids slide area too. Will definitely be back!

If water parks had a religion, Typhoon Lagoon would be the Vatican--except here, the holy water comes in six-foot waves and smells faintly of sunscreen and frozen piña coladas. The story goes like this: a typhoon ripped through some idyllic island paradise, tossing shrimp boats onto mountains, smashing surfboards into palm trees, and leaving behind the most surreal water park you've ever seen. This is Imagineering at its most tongue-in-cheek--half disaster movie, half Jimmy Buffett fever dream. And it works. The crown jewel is the wave pool, a beast that cranks out six-foot swells with the precision of a Swiss clock and the menace of Mother Nature herself. You don't float here--you get body-slammed, rolled, and reborn in saltwater chlorination. And yes, it's probably the closest thing to surfing without dragging yourself to Cocoa Beach at 5 a.m. The lazy river is a misnomer--it's not lazy, it's therapy. You drift past waterfalls, shipwrecks, and tropical landscapes so convincing you half expect to see Hemingway stumble out of a rum shack. Then there's Crush 'n' Gusher, a water-coaster that makes you realize Disney doesn't just "do" rides--they reinvent them, slap a backstory on it, and make you feel like you've been launched out of a pineapple cannery. And the details--oh, the details. A shrimp boat named Miss Tilly perched precariously on Mount Mayday, which erupts with a geyser every half hour like Old Faithful after too many margaritas. Sand so soft it tricks you into thinking Florida beaches are this nice (they're not). And an atmosphere that, somehow, makes you forget you're a 10-minute bus ride from Magic Kingdom and not a thousand miles deep into the Caribbean. Food? Yes, it's still a water park, so manage your expectations. But grab the mini donuts dusted in sugar, and suddenly life is worth living again. Pair it with a tropical drink served in a plastic bucket (because of course) and you'll wonder why more places don't encourage day-drinking in swim trunks. History check: Typhoon Lagoon opened in 1989, the golden era of Eisner's "let's make Disney everything" phase. Back when MGM Studios debuted, Pleasure Island raged every night, and Disney decided Orlando needed the world's largest outdoor wave machine. Over three decades later, it still holds up. This isn't just nostalgia--it's a reminder of when Disney had swagger, when they built things because they could, not because a focus group said so.

We visited Disney's Typhoon Lagoon on a Monday morning in August, and it was a great experience overall! It wasn't too crowded, but I'd still recommend getting there a little early to grab good parking and a shady spot to sit. The park itself is super cute--the theming is well done and fun to walk through. We didn't take many photos since we didn't have waterproof phone cases, so if you're into capturing memories, definitely bring one. Also, if you wear glasses, I highly recommend getting a strap so you can keep them on for the rides--otherwise, you might not be allowed to wear them. The rides were really fun, though I do wish there were a few more of them. The wait times were pretty reasonable, and there's a good amount of shade while you wait in line, which is a huge plus in the Florida heat. We didn't try the food, but it looked great. We did try some of the ice cream--the alcoholic Mai Tai soft serve was super refreshing, and we also had a tub with three kinds of soft serve that totally hit the spot after being out in the sun all day.

I wanted to rate this a 5 BUT the only reason it's not is because they got rid of the snorkel attraction but didn't replace it with anything else, they just covered it up and made it another lounging section with beach chairs...pretty lame if you ask me. Putting that aside though, this is a fantastic water park. Great slides, especially Crush n Gusher, world class wave pool, fun shipwreck theming, and DOLE WHIP! I'm not sure if they're still selling the Hei Hei Cones anymore, but if they are you gotta try one! It'spretty much pineapple and raspberry dole whip. Be warned, if you're not a strong swimmer, be careful in the wave pool... this one isn't for the faint of hearts, it gets pretty intense, I once got a black eye in that pool as a kid.

I got to come here for my birthday. I did not think I would ever visit a Disney water park but this was my second one on this trip and it was a lot of fun. From our hotel we had to get to Disney Springs to get the bus to come here. It was so hot, and there were so many people on the bus I was not sure if this place would fill to capacity, but luckily we made it. Like the other park, there are plenty of reasonably priced lockers near the entrance and complimentary towels. The theming here is fun, but typical of a water park, unlike Blizzard Beach, which I found the winter theming to be more unique, but still they have a fun gator to go with Ice Gator. We made our way to find a nice spot to put our stuff and on to the first slide. I dumped my shoes with our stuff but by the time we got back the ground was so hot I burnt the bottoms of my feet and had to wear the flip flops the rest of the day. They really need more sprinklers on the ground. For some reason Blizzard Beach and Volcano Bay both had enough to make it bearable to walk around shoeless. Still we went on the family raft, that was fun. We did the lazy river which reminded me of being on the Jungle Cruise but swimming in the water instead of being on the boat. This park was really crowded compared to the other one. I am not sure if it is more popular, but it was harder to get a raft. More people in line for food and longer lines for the slides. We did enjoy the food here. It was similar to Blizzard Beach, but they changed up the ingredients a bit to make each park unique. Here, I got an upside down dole whip pineapple cake cone and it was so good I am still dreaming of it. The guess the biggest draw for this park is their incredible wave pool. those waves are no joke and knock you down then under the water. Yes, I would love to have that feature at our parks back home, it was the most intense wave pool we have been in besides the actual ocean. I liked their gift shop, it is always fun looking around but Disney needs to bring back package delivery to the hotels and look to Universal for what they are doing well right now, there is a lot of competition. We spent several hours here, and they had descent changing rooms since you need to take the bus back to Disney Springs, which we did in order to get some dinner. It was overall a great time and I think I would return if I had the chance.

Typhoon Lagoon has the largest wave pool in North America. It also has the largest lagoon man-made that is used for surfing in the United States. This is a mammoth waterpark that offers water attractions for kids and adults of all ages. It's a phenomenal opportunity to come and spend a great day at a waterpark, including the lazy river, the giant wave, pool, and a host of rides which are family friendly and some that are even a bit daredevil. We recommend it if you have the opportunity to go and would know that if you stay at a DVC resort or on Disney property at one of the hotels here, you should check into the opportunity to attend one of the evening activities like midnight, madness, or on the day of check in at Disney properties you also have free entrance to either of the two water parks, if they're open that day.

We are spending time at this park today so that we can enjoy the water park mainly. It's been hot here this week and this will be so relaxing. My daughter and her friends are going on the water tube but I will pass on those due to past injuries (not from water rides). The Lazy River is more my speed these days. I love them! There was a lot to see and do here but mainly we were interested in the water park itself. My daughter was enjoying herself at all of the attractions. The Lazy River ride around the main Typhoon Lagoon takes about 20-30 minutes to complete. It was so much fun! I would do it again. There were also cute little food huts with ice cream, ice shaved desserts, burgers, chicken fingers, fries, sodas and Toledo for steak & seafood. Our friends enjoyed the entire park so we are all content. Today is our last day.

I have not been to Typhoon Lagoon since the mid 90's (back when you could snorkel / scuba dive with sharks). It's since been updated several times, so it's all new to me this time! Went with our family of 5 (free tickets w/staying on Disney property. Get the tickets for the first day of your stay). We arrived at 9:30am, as we were unable to secure a Beachcomber shack ahead of time. We had watched a TikTok on where to go to find a good shaded area, and so at 10am ropedrop, we headed there and got good seats (near Typhoon Tilly's). Dropped out towels and stuff there. We did not rent a locker, and instead just hoped people wouldn't mess with our stuff (no one did) Kids enjoyed all the slides, wife and I just went around the lazy river about 5 times (the blue half tubes are the best). Ordered on the app for food at Typhoon Tilly's. No issue with the chicken tenders/fries (4 tenders + fries for adult order). Mobile pick up is on the left hand side. Condiments and utensils are in a separate location across from registers. We then got the 3pm downpour and were soaked on our exit. It'd be nice if they had dedicated changing rooms near the back of the park. Fun time overall!

This is the best of the two water parks on Disney property. The wave pool is epic waves!! And the slides are good too. And the lazy river is long and peaceful! Good staff. Clean park and good food! And it was a great day!

This was my first time visiting a Disney water park and I had a great experience! They had a promotion where you get free waterpark access if you're checking into a Disney resort that day, so we took advantage. The park is clean, well organized, and has an immersive tropical environment. We got ice cream and lunch. We sat on the beach and enjoyed all the attractions. The highlight of Typhoon lagoon is their giant wave pool where every couple of minutes a typhoon sized wave crashes down across the pool. It was so thrilling! I also enjoyed a couple body slides and the lazy river. Overall, there is something for everyone here and you could easily spend an entire day at the park. Be sure to check them out this summer, especially if you're staying at a resort in property!!!

The absolute BEST waterpark we've been to Orlando. We had the opportunity to enjoy our first day free and it was such an awesome experience!! We love, LOVE, LOVE the wave pool here-- however it is not for the faint of heart as the waves are MASSIVE!!! Typhoon Lagoon has the longest and most relaxing lazy river we've tried thus far! Absolute must try!! They also offer complimentary towels to hotel guests, plenty of different food options-- something for everyone, even the kiddos! I was pleasantly surprised to even find healthy options within the park, such a refreshing option to have :) We had such a great time that we are counting down until our next visit!!!

I second everyone's advice to try to get here early to claim a good chair. This place gets really busy. We got free tickets through our resort stay, but it was only good for the day we checked in. We finally made it to the park at about 2 p.m. and we ended up staying until 7 p.m. It was a good day. I have a four and a six year old, so we pretty much could only do the two family raft rides, but I'm still impressed they had them. One said 35 minutes, but we ended up in line for closer to 45 minutes. It's a really short ride so it definitely wasn't worth that wait. The other family raft ride, which is right at the beginning of the park, only had a 5 minute wait. I think because it was shut down for part of the day so people didn't realize it re-opened. That one was more fun. Overall, I wouldn't wait more than 30 minutes for these rides though. The lazy river has a good number of tubes. Even though it was crowded, there were tons available. There weren't any chairs close to the lagoon, but there are a lot available around the periphery of the park. They were giving free towels when we were there, which was really convenient. I'm not sure if that's all the time, since some sites said towels were only free for resort guests. Their margaritas are pretty good too. They don't have many places with cocktails around the park. They had canned alcohol drinks by the splashpad. I would have thought that would be a prime location to have a bar. That station also closed early, like around 6 p.m. Overall, I think this is a great water park and I'd come back. I heard Blizzard Beach is more family friendly though, so I definitely want to try there first.

Disney's Typhoon Lagoon water park is a incredible water park that I have been coming to since I was a little kid. The Nostalgia of coming back after many years definitely hit and it truly felt like I was back home here! The parking lot tends to get insanely busy so my advice is you get here as soon as the park opens to avoid having to make a very nice little Trek to the front entrance. The cast members here are incredibly friendly and will point you exactly where you need to go when it comes to what water slide you might be looking for, food and drinks, or even lockers that you are able to rent for the day. The lockers are $10 for the entire day and honestly not a bad price to make sure your stuff is safe while you are in the wave pool or waiting in lines! The wave pool is my favorite thing because every 30 minutes they have some absolutely massive waves that makes everybody scream with delight.. or Terror LOL the waves get so high and you are able to swim all the way up to where they are created and ride them all the way to the shallow end of the wave pool. The rides are super fun but there are a couple that are incredibly short. If I waited more than 15 minutes or 20 minutes for one, I think I would feel a little upset. Food and drink here is your generic Disney grub but I will say that they have a Mojito flight which is the most refreshing thing because it's frozen and drinking this on a hot day is wonderful. It comes with a regular mojito, which I liked, a strawberry mojito which was absolutely exceptional and just the right amount of sweetness and a passion fruit margarita, which was a little too sweet for me but still very refreshing. Overall one of my favorite water parks and I love how friendly everybody is here!

My husband and I haven't been to Typhoon Lagoon in nearly 20 years - I went every summer growing up and his last visit was with his best friend many years ago. We were down in Florida visiting family, so we both decided to take a day trip over and make some new memories. It was so much fun! We only stayed from 10am-2pm due to time constraints...but it was worth it! We got on every ride, enjoyed delicious drinks from Let's Go Slurpin, and spent about an hour with the big waves in the wave pool. The water coaster was definitely our favorite. My husband was giggling the whole time...and I have never heard him giggle in the 16 years that I've known him. It was awesome! We will make one suggestion though. On Miss Adventure Falls, we understand that 3-4 people are required on the rafts, but we were squeezed in with 2 other adults, and we felt like a pretzel. My husband is over 6 feet tall and very muscular, I'm a little overweight (working on that!), and the two 2 ladies who joined us were about my size as well...and one had a bad knee. We saw other groups with 2-3 people, and they were smaller than us, so we did feel it was a bit unfair in our case to get squished like that. It should be adjusted to 2-4 people, depending on their size. Don't get me wrong! We still had a blast and our ride companions were awesome. It does not take away a single star from our review. This is just a suggestion.

The wave pool is so fun! My friend told me she peed in it. I also ate a soft serve cookie sandwich which melted on my fingers, for when i took a bite the ice cream squirted out but it's ok because it was so good. My friend didn't eat her full one so i did for her. I like this place so much fun!! also Dasha is so funny she made my wait for my food so fun.

So they re opened Typhoon lagoon and the food menu had some changes. They added a seafood basket to Tilly's and it consisted of 1 pc of fried fish, clam strips (tiny) and 2 fried shrimps along with 2 hushpuppies, small cole slaw (dip sauce size) and sweet and sour sauce with fries. This was about $14 ish without tax. I expected more fish but now I know. The fish was good tender and crunchy batter. But it was a small piece. The 2 panko battered shrimp were also delicious but u get only 2. Cooked excellent and was delicious. I dipped these in the sweet and sour sauce but I think it tasted better on its own. The clam strips were tiny. I would request to swap these for either more fish or shrimps. I could barely taste the clams. Fries were seasoned well with their fries seasoning but the star of the show is the HUSH PUPPIES! These were DELICIOUS! It was freshly made and I have had my share of hush puppies and these were delicious! I would order a side of these on its own. It was crunchy yet perfectly cooked inside with hints of onions and seasoned well. So with typhoon it is known for the WAVE POOL. It is also known to be high rated for some drownings. This is my go to spot to get that TAN.. LOL Just swap a small chair and spray a good coat of SPF sunscreen and sit on the edge out skirts area of the wave pool and allow the cool waves to hit your legs as your body cools down from the sun rays hitting your body and face. This area is popular along with the lazy river. The lazy river is where my water therapy kicks in. I have had actually fell asleep just soaring away laying on a chair floaty. This is a relaxing spot for others to enjoy while your body cools down yet at the same time relaxes you. There's a few cold water sprinklers that will spray you along the lazy river and also that harsh waterfall cave that people scream once they enter it. I am a annual pass member and to be honest I go to the waterparks more than the actual parks itself. I enjoy the waterparks more. It's a different type of crowd. I just wished they have an option of a pass member only for the waterparks.

Well if u know u know. If it's Disney, it's always a magical moment . They have 3 aqua coasters, they were all so much fun, their wave pool HUGE WAVE, they also got other slides which were cool very kid friendly & of course what is a Waterpark without a lazy river. The park was so awesome, not too many people. Went on a Thursday, school no kids best time to go.. Gotta go check out blizzard beach now. Great park, great memories. Disney is always a magical time

This has quickly become my favorite waterpark! I love Disney and Disney has done this waterpark right! I have been with my nephew and been with friends. It is fun either way. I honestly haven't even been on the rides. I have gone multiple times and had spent all day in the wave pool or the lazy river and it is a blast! The wave pool is not your average wave pool. It has six foot waves that are so much fun! The lazy river is a ball! They have all different types of floats that fit all people, from babies to plus size. It is great fun! I have reserved an umbrella and chairs and didn't end up using it. The chairs were too low to the ground and I am plus and it wasn't great so I personally wouldn't do that again but love the park overall! The food is not badly priced but you can bring your own. The prices are great and I will gladly return!

During our Orlando summer vacation we planned to take our kids to Disney's Typhoon Lagoon. Typhoon Lagoon is a highly theme water park that immerses the guest as castaways that got stranded on an island after a huge typhoon. Even though the parks is dated compared to other water parks, it still has its charm and the wave pool here is still a blast and the lazy river here is a great way to pass the day. With these burning Orlando summers becoming the new norm I would recommend spending a day at Typhoon Lagoon.

Very nice size water park. Last month we did a DVC exclusive after hours party. Free soft drinks, popcorn and ice cream all night long. Great water slides and a large wave pool. We had an amazing time and it hit the spot on a very hot summers day. The staff were all amazing.

So far, this is my favorite Walt Disney World Water Park. The beach vibes it gives it's just perfect. The only thing I would point out is that the Lazy River pool had a lot of dead bugs swimming down the stram. But it is Florida, so that is bound to happen. Other than that it was a great day.

I think this is my favorite waterpark. It's not crazy adventurous (except the wave pool) so it's the perfect waterpark for families. Once both of my kids are strong swimmers that wave pool is going to be wonderful but it was the highest waves at a pool I'd ever seen and I got nervous for the kids. They were fine. Bring sunscreen!

I can't believe it took me so long to get to Typhoon Lagoon but now I will visit often! If the park opens at 10, make sure you're there by around 9:15. A line starts to form and they let you in the park at 9:30. I was lucky enough to meet Stitch upon arriving! This waterpark has something for everyone. Family slides, individual slides, body slides, lazy river, wave pool, kiddie area, great food, and more. I recommend trying the Hei Hei Cone which is raspberry and pineapple dole whip! Yummy! Just like at WDW, water is free at quick service stands. You are allowed to bring a cooler in with drinks and snacks, just make sure there's no loose ice or alcohol. Enjoy! Can't wait to go back.

We decided to go as first timers to the Disney water parks for H20 Glow Nights. Staff here was incredibly friendly in the short time we visited, which isn't totally surprising since it's Disney. I would have loved to see staff cleaning up a bit more however, as it appears a little too many guests were careless with the garbage and towels. We're not huge water park people, but I would suggest the park and the after hour event. I'd like to return for the painting class.

The place is severely overhyped, priced far too high, and does not meet our expectations at all.

Awesome Water Park. Great Atmosphere. Park has better theming than evey other Water Park in the USA. Most relaxing lazy river with amazing Atmosphere. Biggest Wave Pool in the USA.

Came here summer of 2024 and a few years back when our boys were younger and had a blast both times. Disney does an amazing job making enjoyable water parks and theme parks for the whole family to enjoy. Recommend coming here when they open if you want to reserve one of the beach chairs with an umbrella or get a spot where you can rest after spending hours catching water slides, going round on the lazy river, or catching 6 foot waves in the wave pool. Food wise, we got dole whips and giant pretzels with cheese dip to snack on before lunch. Lunch was chicken tenders, fish filet tenders, pulled pork sandwich, fries, and coke. I would rate the food 4 out of 5 as it was good quality amusement park food. It started to rain about 2 ish while we were eating lunch so the park closed temporarily but we didn't allow a little rain to ruin our fun. The rain stopped about 30 minutes later and the sun came up again. It rains often in Florida but they are more rain showers than anything so they are short and don't last for long. Overall we give Typhoon Lagoon 5 stars for clean family fun where making memories is a beautiful thing. Well done Disney once again and thank you for helping our children and adults alike for beautiful memories that will last a lifetime!

I remember going to Typhoon Lagoon when I was a little kid. My sister has memories as well. When we heard Blizzard Beach was under construction, we knew we wanted to go to a waterpark while we were in Disney so our obvious choice was Typhoon Lagoon. My mother-in-law wanted to make sure we had shade so she reserved a cabana ahead of time. Boy was that the best decision ever. We had a beautiful, big cabana in the shade in a little cute beach area where you could drag your chair out into the sun if you wanted to. It was in a sandpit so my son put a towel down and built Sandcastles for like an hour. We had a really adorable server who is very attentive and brought us over all of our food and drinks. We also got plastic Mickey Mouse cups that we could use for refillable, free beverages. We had so much fun, all of the adults kept saying that this was our most fun day because it was the most relaxing. My husband and my mother-in-law went on a bunch of waterslides. My father-in-law is a heart patient and I am seven months pregnant, but we were able to do the lazy river and my son loved it! It takes about 40 minutes to get around and then when we were done, I asked my son if he wanted to go again and he said "yes!" So we did two laps. There's also an adorable Kiddie pool section. They have a splash pad, two waterslides for kids, and an entire area for them to frolic about. We spent almost an hour there with my son. We were definitely blessed by the weather Gods when we went there. Beautiful weather. While at our cabana, we ordered the fruit and cheese plate, which was very large portion. I think it's supposed to feed up to six people. We ended up bringing some home with us. We also ordered the nachos. It was kind of weird the way, they brought it over. It wasn't put together. They just brought over two containers of chips and then all of the sides for us to put on ourselves. That was kind of a bummer because it wasn't put together properly and my father in law had the hot dog and fries. We really had a great time there. We went on a Wednesday and it wasn't busy, we never had to wait for anything. Overall, it's pretty spacious, very clean, & affordable. I would go back here in a heartbeat.

I enjoyed Disney's Typhoon Lagoon water park and Epcot the most of the Disney parks I visited with my family in approximately June 2002 in Florida. My sibling (an older sister) was a bit of a fashionista and liked the finding of the perfect swimsuit to wear to the park to attract all the guys... My mom and I enjoyed the water, especially the wave pool, and my dad had fun watching us. However, he had an ear condition where getting water in his ear impaired his ability to tell direction and resulted in severe disorientation. This meant he was unable to take full part in the water with us. We even walked the park looking for attractions catering to those who might not be able to get in the water for medical reasons/conditions, or just inclusivity in general, however the park was truly water-attraction centric. The only other option was food, which while nice, was expensive and not an inclusive active life family attraction for our unit of four.

Me and my family had went here on a weekend, it was really fun!! This one ride me and my sister had went on (we are both 25) and it was like a long slide and it goes straight down, there was no wait and we immediately went in it, VERY FUN!! Loved the food and drinks, (the sweet tea could use a bit more sweet, otherwise great!!) and everything there. Would go again!!

Waterparks are something I very much so love especially ones that are unique and Typhoon Lagoon is definitely unique! This might be one of my favorite Waterparks I've ever been to as it feels like your in a jungle everywhere you turn and the wave pool is one of the best ones I've ever been in as that squall that comes for you is super intense and for a Disney Park this is surprising but it makes for such a good time you can't go wrong! So I've been here a handful of times now and each visit has been a few slides and most of the time spent in the wave pool as you just can't go wrong there as it's super deep which makes for a great swim especially when the waves are going! Parking is FREE! For a Disney park that is super rare so that will definitely help you save a bit when you visit! Overall super fun waterpark with a great theme and it always make for a good time for everyone with that said I'm sure I'll be back here sooner than later!

What an amazing place! If you love Disney, water parks, and relaxation, this is the place to be! I'm an Annual Passholder and bought an Annual Pass for the water park. I packed a beach bag with towels, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, a rash guard, a phone protection case for the water, and water shoes. I highly recommend the rash guard and water shoes. I also packed a backpack cooler full of sandwiches, snacks, fruits, vegetables, drinks, and water. Saves you time from standing in line. I was there from almost open to close. I had a blast! Only suggestion is to have more shady options. They ran out of umbrellas quick and natural shade was limited. As a solo person, it is too costly to rent a cabana.

Such an amazing day! Having annual passes saved us a lot of money on tickets and it was the perfect day to go. Crowds were lite, and the water was not too cold and refreshing! A heat index over 100 this was the perfect place to be!! The rides had virtually no wait, with the lazy river I am highly recommending! For the lore adventurous person go on the family TUBE slides (I forget the names) but they were a blast! Fully accessible and even wheelchair mobility access points on every entry to the lazy river. You can spend your day floating around the park in a tube! 2 full bars with lots of refreshing drinks, Disney popcorn bucket refills for just over 2 dollars and lots of snacks and food if you are hungry! We got there at ROPE DROP,(HIGHLY RECOMMEND) and managed to get one of the ONLY umbrellas for shade and on a day like today it was a necessity. You can always pay a 100 dollars extra for a guaranteed spot or almost 400 extra dollars for a private cabana but we thought that was crazy since we already paid for annual passes and entry tickets! Overall amazing day, got lots of sun and absolutely exhausted IN A GOOD WAY! LOL

Was able to experience the water park after hours with a DVC party. We did a lot of multi-person water rides, which is a hoot watching people scream at the turns and bumps. The wave pool is also a favorite of some - I don't like being knocked down quite so often - LOL. The younger ones loved riding the "waves" into shore. Plenty of seating and lots of spots to grab a drink or a snack. There is a smaller kids area that looked like a lot of fun and where they wouldn't be afraid to run around and get wet. Great night - lots of fun - water rides! What's more to ask?

Great water park. General tickets are $73 per person which includes access to 2 'body' slides, 2 single tube slides, 1 short family tube slide, 1 'water coaster' family tube slide, and a two-person tube water coaster. They also have a huge wave pool (with HUGE waves) that goes up to 6-7 feet and a lazy river (2-3feet deep) that goes around the entire park. The lazy river is full of different floating tubes to rest in, and is a great way to end your day at the park. Overall it's a great place to visit especially on hot days. The rides aren't as themed as normal Disney Parks (they're just normal water rides) but the waits are much shorter than general Disney parks. Lines were between ~10-20min generally. You can go to the wave pool or lazy river whenever and stay there as long as you want. Most of the rides are toddler-friendly and we also saw several babies. For food, you can get Disney's classic Dole Whip ice cream here (but not the floats!) and general variety of Disney fast food. There's lockers with showers near the entrance. You can also leave your stuff in a beach chair throughout the park.

I absolutely love this water park! The wave pool is SO FUN and I could spend hours floating in the lazy river. This time I went for the day and got tickets for the after hours H2O Glow event too. Definitely a fun time and the lines weren't bad at all so we were able to get on everything! Can't wait to go back!

What a fun place! I went with my brother and it was a perfect day! I would recommend going on a warmer day in fall. There were no lines and the water temperature was perfect. Everything is super cute and the workers really make the visit magical. This is a great waterpark for the family!

Disney's Typhoon Lagoon water park truly exceeded our expectations! The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the gigantic wave pool, a thrilling experience with waves that made us feel like we were in the middle of the ocean. We couldn't get enough of it! The variety of water slides added another layer of excitement to our day. The raft slides were a standout, offering a unique and exhilarating ride. We laughed and screamed our way down these twisting, turning attractions, creating unforgettable memories together. When we needed a break from the adrenaline rush, the lazy river was the perfect place to unwind. Drifting along in the gentle current, we soaked up the sun and enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. Overall, Disney's Typhoon Lagoon provided us with a memorable day of waterpark adventures and relaxation. The only reason we're not giving it a full 5 stars is because the rides were not as thrilling as we expected, I would say they are perfect for kids. The lines were less than a 5 minute wait due to us going on off season on a random Thursday in October. Nonetheless, we had an absolute blast and would definitely visit again!

The water park add on pass is a great deal. I'm disappointed that Blizzard Beach isn't currently open. The staff was friendly and the park seemed pretty clean. The lazy river was jam packed with people. The waits on the slides were pretty high as well. I wish that the water park was open even later without needing a special ticket. The wave pool is pretty amazing but can be intense depending on which wave setting it is on. I appreciate that there are lifeguards everywhere. Overall happy with our experience. I do wish lockers were a bit cheaper to rent. It cost us $10.00 for the small locker. Which isn't bad one time but adds up if you go often.

5 stars for the theming. The park has a really cool atmosphere. But I'd give 3 stars for the rides and value. The crush N gusher was awesome; everything else was just ok. It's pricey for a park with not that much to do. If you are a family with a lot of people trying to budget, you might want to skip this as you can't really spend a whole day here.

If you are a water park person, this will be your jam. The wave pool is large and legit. I came with a toddler and this isn't the best place for them. We ate the Mickey icecream bar and enjoyed what we could. We didn't get a cabana and we probably needed one. Keeping our things on a random chair wasn't ideal. I would try this again when my children are older.

Amazing water park with a lot of options for adults and kids. The wave pool is another thing!!!!! and it has a little slide for the kids right next to it. Cast Members are really attentive and the place have great food options as well.

I can not tell you how excited I am to be here it's been years. We used to come yearly on our anniversary. But since the pandemic life changed lol. Most of the slides were the same. Hard part was finding a shady place to park ourselves. Which really made it difficult for my husband who is disabled and couldn't partake on the water slides etc. a lovely lady who works at the park named Ashley met my husband and frequently stopped by to make sure he was okay. Of course I love the sound of everyone screaming when the big waves are about to begin what an awesome sound. The whole family after each slide came back to check on Dad and move him from shade spot to shade spot. The shark tank is gone and replaced by a bar?????? My son kept saying the park wasn't crowded but I thought it was packed. Family tube ride I went on twice it was wonderful! The lazy river was great ! Out of all the water parks across the USA Typhoon Lagoon is still the best but make the old shark area shady or have more umbrellas throughout the park please.

I'm writing this after going to both island h2o live and typhoon lagoon. I'm honestly surprised to say that island h2o is quite impressive to this Disney park. Positives: 1) free parking 2) all rides were open but one 3) lines were not long 4) wave pool is extremely large and fun! 5) frozen drinks are great Negatives: 1) food was absolutely awful - when a small chicken wrap is $12 I am not expecting canned chicken that was prepared months ago and dumped into a tortilla with three pieces of corn and a teaspoonful of canned beans. Yuck! 2) there are no places to put your flip flops - you have to walk around on the rough, extremely hot concrete 3) lines waiting for rides are dirty as are most water slides 4) more expensive than island h2o (especially with coupon available for that park) 5) very confusing to navigate the park 6) changing areas and restrooms were dirty compared to island h2o I really wanted to love going to a Disney park but sadly I'm disappointed. When I'm back in the area I'll definitely be back at island h2o and will probably check out the universal or sea world park. Perhaps blizzard beach when it re opens.

I hadn't been to Typhoon Lagoon for many years and couldn't remember what it was like, but we came back and I loved it!!! Even though there aren't tons of Disney characters everywhere, you can still tell you're at Disney, or in the "Disney bubble." The cast members were super friendly as usual, doing whatever they can to make you smile and enhance your experience. One even let us on one of the rides through a different entrance! The lines move really efficiently, and they have sprinklers for the pavement scattered around to keep it cool. We ate our lunch there as well, and it was delicious! Lots of different options, and I went the healthier route and got a salad which was pretty good! I also got one of their special drinks which was delicious and refreshing. The had a lot of different slides, both body and raft, and there was one for everyone, with some being more tame and peaceful, and others more exciting. And of course the wave pool is iconic, with that humongous wave that comes through periodically. It was so fun! Although, one of my favorite things was the lazy river. It was so beautiful with such clear waters, and some of the petals and leaves fell in, which actually made it feel more magical and beautiful rather than dirty. My only complaints are that there seemed to be a lack of cool Typhoon Lagoon merch in the gift shop, and for the changing rooms, there are curtains and whenever there was a slight breeze, they would blow around exposing you! I think they should definitely invest in some hooks haha. But this is one of my favorite water parks and I look forward to coming back!

Typhoon lagoon is a Disney park, but doesn't seem to have the Disney theme along with it. It has the design, but not the character of a Magic Kingdom or Epcot. I think most of us would like to see a water land park similar to Disney Sea in Japan. The wave pool is massive, able to safely accommodate hundreds of people. The food options are a limited, but they're not bad. We had the shrimp salad wraps and fish tacos. There are lots of places to sit, but they do not have as much shade. Getting there early is key to secure these spots. There are cabanas for rent, but they can be pricey. The lazy river is massive also and sometimes you have to wait on a float. Parking is free which is nice. The sand is nice, especially for little kids. My kid loved it, especially when it started raining. We owe Disney for the amount of sand we brought back.

I throughly enjoyed our day at this water park. Hands down the best wave pool I have ever been to. The waves come about every minute and a half and they are large. Sweeps you back a distance too. The slides are fun as well with a mix of different types, including raft slides and family slides. They also have a lazy river, which is always a fan favorite. Chairs in the shade can be difficult to get. We got to the park about 15 minutes before opening. Next time we will go probably 30 minutes before opening if we go when it's really hot again (July). We got some partially shaded seats, but that sun was hot! We didn't try many of the food options there as we had breakfast and mid-day lunch reservations of other Disney properties...but did get the Joffrey donuts and they were so good. Also got the reusable/refillable cups. Only downside was the soda machines were either down or not working well, and it was really hard to get refills. They do have lockers to keep your valuables in and you can tie your tickets and stuff to your magic bands (which are also waterproof as we pleasantly found out). Next time I plan on getting a waterproof pouch for my phone so I can get way more pictures.

This review is specifically for the after hours H2O Glow event. It's separately ticketed and officially runs from 8p-11p. Doors open at 6p so if you arrive early you can get more bang for your buck. The wife and I are both Annual Passholders so with our discount, tickets were about $60 each. We arrived at 630p but due to lightning in the area, all the attractions were closed until 730p. It was a bit of a bummer because while you're waiting there isn't much to do. There is a live DJ and the music plays in speakers throughout the park. So once everything opened up it was a blast! The crowd was pretty small and we had no trouble finding chairs around the wave pool. For an evening event there was a surprising amount of small children but there are specific areas for younger kids so it didn't feel like a playground. Towels were free for the event but usually are $2 a piece to rent. The lazy river was our favorite. They throw in all kinds of tubes and you can switch in and out of them at your leisure. It's also a great way the travel around the park. Get off at different exists the check out the concessions and attractions in that area. For the event there was free fountain soda stations throughout the park. They also had free boxes of popcorn and Mickey ice cream bars. There weren't too many of the "free stuff" tables so you kind of had to hunt for them. But once you did they were always stocked up and there was never really a line. The event also has exclusive food and drinks that follow the Glow theme. Some of the food times included chicken with rainbow Mickey waffles, rainbow lo mein, and multiple colorful ice cream desserts. The dyed food was cute but didn't seem appetizing and the free ice cream kept us from trying any of the premium options. But we did try the Dole Whip Mai Tai in a pineapple and a frozen margarita. The Mai Tai was great for pictures and definitely tasty but not very strong. At $22 a piece it's the most expensive drink in the park and not really worth it. It mostly tastes like a pineapple Dole Whip with maybe a shot of rum on top. The margarita was cheaper and much stronger. At $15 it was still pricey but that's Disney for you. Keep in mind that they will ID you for alcohol. A lot of people put their phones and wallets in the lockers at the entrance but if you plan to drink, keep an ID somewhere easily accessible. So we aren't huge water slide people but the two rides we went on were mild but fun. Definitely suitable for families with small children. The wave pool is no joke though! I was not expecting the GIANT tidal wave that literally knocks you backwards. An absolute thrill for adults and older kids, but keep your little ones and weaker swimmers back towards the shore where the waves are much smaller. Overall it was a great summer evening experience. The rain brought us down in the beginning but we quickly forgot about it once the evening started. As a young couple without kids we had fun as much fun as the kids and families. I would love to see Disney do an adult-only night with different music and more alcohol options but even as it is, the event is great for all ages.

Super fun water park. A ton of slides and pools for all ages. Many food/drink shacks through the property. Great way to take a break from Disneyworld. If I had a choice I'd pick Blizzard Beach first. But, typhoon is a close second...
