The 15 Best Disney World Hotels

"A short walk from both Epcot’s World Showcase and Disney’s BoardWalk dining and nightlife promenade, as well as the free Disney Skyliner gondola service, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort mimics a quaint seaside New England village from the late 1800s. Nautical themes carry through the property's guest rooms and architecture, all of which feature French doors opening onto private balconies or patios. The Ale & Compass Lounge located off the lobby is a great place to unwind with a late-night snack or a nightcap to end your day." - Valerie Marino

18 Best Disney World Hotels for a Magical Vacation in 2023

"Nautical and sophisticated, Disney's Yacht Club Resort offers easy access to both Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios — both a short walk, boat ride, or Skyliner trip away. This Deluxe resort has one of the best pools at Disney World: Stormalong Bay is a three-acre themed pool area with a lazy river, waterslide, and more. Like its name implies, the resort has an old-school New England yacht club theme that is elegant without feeling stuffy, and it has great views of the charming BoardWalk Inn across the lake. I've stayed here once, and it's at the top of my list for my next Disney World trip thanks to its upscale theming and prime location." - Travel + Leisure Editors

Conveniently located near the boardwalk and Epcot. Place was cute and the Market cafe was very nice for a quick bite (great options for breakfast and snacks). The fragrance when you enter at the front is a little overwhelming but rooms were clean and staff was very friendly and accommodating. Walls between the rooms must be thinner because we could hear voices easier than other places I've stayed on Disney. I didn't visit the pool but it looked nice with a big slide and quick eatery. You can also see Epcot fireworks from some of the rooms. I would definitely stay here again given the convenience to things close by.

Second stay here this year. Highly recommend Yacht Club Waterview to see either the Quiet Pool and/or peaceful Crescent Lake where you can view the EPCOT fireworks and boats from your balcony. Beautiful, Quiet property. Walking or Boat/Skyliner access to other resorts on lake, EPCOT, and HS. Ale & Compass Lounge nice, but the star of the show is the breakfast at Ale & Compass! Awesome staff (Heu, Michelle, Slim, etc). Then at lunch also offered over the top wedge salad entree. Perfect stay at this property for 8 days (moved rooms as we actually extended stay so got benefit of both quiet pool view, then awesome Crescent Lake view.) Took private car service from MCO, so very easy trip (family took Mears bus and it was a over 2 hour+ process!) but our drive was about half hour. Yacht is a Hotel Resort vs Motel style so once inside, rooms are off hallways. Looked like top floors where we were already renovated with new hall carpeting etc, but bottom floors still works in progress. Busses to AK, MK, and DS very nice....sometimes we were literally the ONLY people on the bus! A+++++++ Next time will try Regatta Club level.

Tons of storage in the room. Excellent customer service when we required sheet changes. Very clean all throughout the resort. Excellent pools and affordable on site laundry. I can’t say good enough things about our time spent here!

Google
This was our first time staying at the Yacht club and would definitely stay again! The hotel is beautiful, well decorated and so quiet! We had the Turret suite, which has just been redecorated and loved every inch of it! Having access to the club was so worth it! The staff is amazing and we are actually returning in March of 2026! I highly recommend the Yacht club and the convenience of just strolling over to Epcot was amazing!

Just moved from Yacht Club to Portofino after a nine night stay. We had a great time - have stayed Animal Kingdom and Dolphin before and this was definitely|Our favourite Disney resort to date. Spacious rooms, amazing location ( loved the short walk to Epcot in the mornings). Beautiful, stylish hotel. Great views of the fireworks. We were|Directly above the portico and construction started before 8am but this didn’t bother us as we were at the parks each day. Will definitely|Go back.

Google
First time trip to Disney and Yacht Club did not disappoint! Despite renovations going on it was quiet. The staff are amazing, we had issues with our dining plan which were sorted quickly. Rooms are spacious and have everything you need, food provisions are also excellent! We had breakfast twice at Ale & Compass and multiple snacks and meals from the market place. The smaller pool was really nice and right by the laundry room which was used twice. Loved the close proximity to Epcot, boardwalk and Hollywood studios. It was lovely to come back to the hotel after a long day at the parks, it felt like being on another holiday, so relaxing! Would stay here again!

The Disney Yacht Club is a stunning property, but what makes it truly next-level is the service — especially from Elena at concierge. I travel here multiple times a year, often blending work with a little bit of Disney fun, and Elena always makes both sides of the trip effortless. From handling logistics for workdays to adding thoughtful touches that make downtime magical, she brings a level of care and consistency that keeps me coming back. If you’re a business traveler who also wants a little Disney joy in the mix, this is your spot — and Elena is your go-to for making it all happen seamlessly.

I attended a business conference here. Unfortunately I didn't stay here. The staff were personable and very attentive. I spoke briefly with the chef to thank him and the cooks for the great food and snacks. Most of these events have mediocre food, at best. The food was top notch and delicious. I attended the event alone but had my family with me. We got to visit a couple of the parks, which is always fun. Can't wait to come back again next year.

Yelp
There is absolutely no napping allowed at this hotel whatsoever. If you do not put the "Room Occupied" sign on the door then housekeeping will understandably knock on your door to clean the room. However, if you do put the sign on your door hoping to not be disturbed, you will receive at minimum: two phone calls and three knocks on your door. Why would you expect to nap in the middle of the afternoon while staying at an overpriced tourist trap? I can't imagine what this is like for parents with young children. Additionally there are water filling stations for water bottles throughout the property, but the Yacht Club no longer maintains them. The filter lights and the display are completely blank. I contacted the manufacturer and they stated that the lack of lights means the filters have never been changed which is pretty nasty but not surprising for this dump. The hallways were freezing and the ballrooms are ice boxes. Convention attendees were bundled up in coats, hats and scarfs. I would never spend my own money to stay at this property.

Yelp
Is this hotel nice? You bet your ascot! Spent a long weekend at the Yacht Club. If you have the ability I highly suggest staying Club Level. The Regatta club comes with two dedicated concierges to help with anything you need from directions to navigating your Disney app. Beer, wine, soda snacks and hors d'oeuvres are all inclusive with this room type. Hotel itself is beautiful and the main pool is finishing a refurbishment which should be opened in June. Staff is always friendly and courteous. Disney really does hospitality right. There are water taxis and buses to the various parks. You're close enough to walk to Epcot or Hollywood Studios if you wanted to. The yacht club is definitely a favorite for our family.

Yelp
Stayed at the Disney Yacht Club. It has a nice convention center attached to this resort. It was also nice that it is walking distance of Epcot. Near the Epcot entrance, there is also a gondola that heads to Hollywood Studios. The Disney Yacht Club is attached to the Disney Beach Club Resorts. The resorts also offers transportation to Disney springs and the Boardwalk which was really nice. The service here was outstanding. From being able to call down to get toothpaste (since I ran out) to having someone at the front desk when we arrived pretty late at night. The hotel rooms are super nice as well. They looked so modern. There is even a Disney Alexa in each room. I still don't understand why they don't offer free Disney plus access on their TVs at their resort.

Yelp
Classy! The Yacht Club is conveniently located next to Epcot and a short boat ride to studios (or there's a walking trail to Sudios) Also right outside is the Board Walk filled with fun shops and restaurants. Stay for a long weekend and you will not regret it as the resort is a gem inside Walt Disney World. Staff is friendly, helpful and always willing to make your stay a memorable one. Rooms and resort are immaculately clean. During Christmas they have fanatic decor and a wonderful Christmas village in the lobby.

Yelp
Location! Location! Location! This is central to everything Disney related. It's a waterfront hotel, near all the Disney things. What more could you ask for? I came here for a work related event in one of the conference rooms. This resort is very nice and super clean. Staff seem to be extremely helpful as well. Transportation is easily accessible from here as well because the bus pickup and drop off is right outside, and the Uber/ Lyft is right out front as well. The resort is walking distance from EPCOT.

Pleasant staff, clean, well decorated. Helpful at the desk with magic bands on our account.

Yelp
My real feelings are 1 star regarding this place but given the accessibility of the location (somewhat) and pool (that is insanely over-crowded) I'll go with 2. To start off, the way this place is oriented, you're pretty much guaranteed a room that is not near the pool and will range from far to bfe to anywhere you'd like to go. Fortunately for us, we were in the furthest possible location from everything, which made days of alot of walking, that much more walking. Then, the booking images look a whole lot better than what you actually experience being in the hotel. While it has been refurbished, it has also been some time since and when you take into account all of the insanely awful parents that stay here (hence the illustration of connect the dots in crayon on the wallpaper in our room) this place really does feel it's 30 year age. The fact that they get $500 a night for a room in this place in the off season, is deplorable and also, not worth it. Everyone RAVES about the pool here. What it really is, is a gigantic competition for who can take up the most chaise loungers while not actually using them. One real treat of a whale, I mean woman, put her left shoe on one and her right shoe on the other while she was off doing who knows what (claiming more loungers she has no use for perhaps?) and proceeded to verbally accost us when we we moved both shoes onto one lounger. It's severely out of control and if you're one of these people, don't claim more than you're actually using of something, be considerate of others, or there's also that golden rule. But no one in wdw cares about being considerate or respectful towards others and this is especially apparent at the yacht club, which to sum it up, is a total shithole where everybody treats everyone else like trash, while simultaneously acting trashy.

Yelp
We stayed at the Yacht Club during our recent September 2024 trip to Disney. It was incredible! Our room had an amazing view, and the bed was super comfortable. Yacht club has all the room amenities you need when traveling (including a couple of washrooms to do laundry on premise with an easy to use app)! The one thing I LOVE about yacht club is the many food options. You get the amazing, underrated Ale & Compass for sit down dinners as well as the counter service cafeteria for quick-grab meals at all hours PLUS all the food options at Beach Club, which is directly next door (including Beaches & Cream Ice Cream). You can also walk or take the boat to Epcot or Hollywood studios. And...we actually saw the fireworks from Epcot out of our bedroom window one night! While I feel that Yacht Club is GORGEOUS inside, I do agree that Boardwalk (across the lake) has better decor. However, it is still an absolutely gorgeous hotel AND it had farrrrrrr better food options than Boardwalk, plus everything Beach Club has to offer. The sand bottom pool is also awesome! I highly recommend Yacht Club!

Yelp
Disney's Yacht Club Resort is a deluxe hotel that Disney offers. My partner and I had an event at the Disney's Yacht Club Resort in their ballroom conference area. While we were on-site, we decided to scope out the Yacht Club Resort. It was beautiful inside the hotel and the outside is exquisite. The lobby was well maintained. There was a TV playing Disney cartoons. The bathrooms are absolutely amazing inside the Yacht Club. They were super clean! The store that was on-site was well stocked with Disney theme desserts, apparel and so much more! The pool looked like a lot of fun, especially with the slide! There is a boat that takes you to Epcot or Disney Hollywood studios, as well, from the Yacht Club Resort. If you choose not to ride the boat, there is also a walkway that takes you to a side entrance within Epcot, entering between UK Pavilion and the France Pavilion. If you're staying at this hotel, you'll also get early entrance to the theme parks! The team was super friendly at the Disney's Yacht Club Resort!

Yelp
Disney is Disney. This is a good spot to stay, the rooms are nice and kept clean. There are two beds with a sofa bed in the basic rooms. There are a couple of restaurants between the Yacht club and the Beach which is connect to the Yacht club. Outside of both is a very large pool and an area with stores and shops to visit. You can kind of see the fireworks at night. Service is of course outstanding, that is what Disney is about. Food is what you expect on the expensive side but much like things are now everywhere. Lots of kids! Overall good experience and I would stay there again.

Yelp
I am very happy I got to stay here. Originally I was at a different resort. But due to a terrible experience of where the room was located & noise I was booked here for a night. The resort is very well kept, I love the decor & the room was great. This resort is definitely a splurge, but if you can book a night or 2 for a special experience do it. The staff I encountered were all helpful & very nice! I definitely want to come back.

Yelp
This is a nice hotel with some fabulous pools. One is a fun floating pool for kids and adults. The other is more traditional and is just for adults. They also have tennis courts. They have several busses that will take you to Disney Dprings, Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom. Everything is pretty well organized. They also have convention space for those who need to hold meetings. The room was very spacious and it overlooked Disney's Boardwalk. We were able to see fireworks that were set off from Magic Kingdom. This is a really convenient hotel to stay at if you are going to some of the Disney parks. You can also take a complimentary boat ride to the Boardwalk. The staff were all very professional and made you feel at home.

Yelp
We stayed here when it first opened, and the nightly prices were much lower. The rooms were small, artfully decorated to fit the Yacht theme. From here, we could take the bus anywhere on Disney property, never having to drive our car. For the price, it was an excellent weekend experience. We came here today (5/18/22) after catching a bus from Disney Springs, ready for a full day at Epcot. It was a short walk to the back entrance of Epcot. We love the grounds here, and the atmosphere is magical. If the nightly prices were lower, we would definitely return for one or more nights!

Yelp
The Disney Yacht Club is massive and is perfect for a family stay or work conference. The staff is very helpful and you can always find someone to assist. The rooms are nice and spacious. This hotel is about a 10 minute walk from Epcot so very convenient if you're visiting the parks. I stayed for a work conference so I can't speak much on the entertainment at the resort but the conference center is perfect for a large group and they can transform the rooms to accommodate any request.

Yelp
It's good, not great. Boardwalk is nicer, but this is still nice. Service OK. Restaurant options are limited. They expect you to go next door to Beach Club. I booked a water view. If I go out to the balcony and turn, I can see water. Not what I expected, but.... well... okaaaayyyyy... I love the location. Walk to epcot boat or skyline to Hollywood studios. Best part of staying here

Yelp
It just felt older... a little less crisp and dated. When we extended our stay at Disney our current hotel had no room for us so we shifted our stay to here for the last few days. Our stay was fine or room was nice and the people were great, but I guess after being at the Contemporary this just felt old. Like were all the stuffy people go. That wasn't the case it was just the vibe. They have an amazing pool here... acres worth of a pool. The pool has some food service as well. But you will wait a while for it. The hotel has several places to get food one that is an ice cream specialty shop and another that is a high end steak house. Again it is a nice place it just was a bit of a let down after our stay at the contemporary. This one is located within walking distance to Epcot though and it worked out well that we moved here for the end part of our trip. We walked to Epcot one day and then on another day took the trans back to Epcot from Hollywood studios to walk back to the hotel. Very convenient. Would not be my first choice but it is not a bad choice either.

Yelp
Disney's Beach & Yacht Club. I chose this resort to let my daughters have some great pool time and stay convenient to Epcot. The fifth sleeper room was perfect for our family. I love it here so much. Stormalong Bay has so much to do! We rode down the water slide, enjoyed the lazy River, I dried out in the sun and my girls played in the sun. There are three options for mobile ordering meals, with different offerings at each. Beaches & Cream has a lovely To Go Window for when you cannot get a reservation inside. The night's sky after the rain was amazing!

Yelp
This top deluxe resort is wonderful. From the guard at the front gate who tells you where there may be open complimentary parking spaces to the the two guys that look like tweedle dee and tweedle dumb who say good bye at the front doors, the Yackt Club Resort is perfect. We checked in online but showed up at 9am knowing that our room may not be ready, we received a text 2 hours later letting us know we could head straight to our room when we returned to the resort. I requested a physical key from the front desk in case my phone was dead and, therefore, wouldn't be able to use the virtual key. Great little souvenir, too. Once inside our room, we loved every bit of it. The bathroom was spacious with the famous H2O bath amenities and the cute towel Mickey ears on our bed. Our room had a nice balcony to our 2nd floor room. We happened to be in the building furthest from the lobby, but that didn't matter because there were plenty of stairwells to the ground floor so we could walk outside and see the beautiful grounds. So beautiful! We could walk to the Boardwalk in one direction or into the back entrance to Epcot by France. (Must have tickets and park reservation for Epcot). The water area view from our balcony was really nice and the Epcot fireworks at 9 pm was amazing. In our room, they have a mini fridge, at least 15 places to charge electronics, plenty of lighting, a desk and huge set of drawers that have a mini bar and a separate area with a 1 cup Keurig with a variety of coffee choices. From the room/hotel, there is online food ordering from the Market and it is packaged nicely to go if you choose not to eat downstairs. There is a nice pool area as well as places to rent Motorcraft and Peddle Bikes that hold up to 6 people. The lobby and hallways are very Nautical in decor, which I absolutely loved. It was New England cozy and very family friendly. I honestly have no idea what the room costs per night because we had a package including park tickets, but my guess is that if you have to ask, you probably can't afford it. This is definitely a "Market Price" resort but totally worth it for a special occasion.

Yelp
We chose this resort because of its proximity to Epcot, which is awesome. It was so nice to be able to walk back and forth anytime, and at the end of the night it was a breeze to not have to get out to your car and head to your room. That being said, it is pricey, but you are paying for location. We chose a garden/woods view, and we overlooked the tennis court. Not sure what view a standard view would have given us, but it wasn't worth the extra money we paid. Our room was ready well before our 3 pm check in. I had checked in on line and was able to use my phone as my room key which was nice. The lobby is pretty in a yacht type theme and the room was clean and large enough for the 2 of us. There was a refrigerator, a safe, a Keurig, ironing board and iron and the bathroom had all the essentials, including mouthwash, which you never see anywhere anymore. We were at the end of a hall and it was extremely quiet, which was great. We had two queen beds and they were comfortable. Our balcony was small, but it was nice to be able to sit outside. The pool near our room was small and quiet. Seems everyone was using the bigger pool which was great for us. My only gripe was check in at the booth before we entered the resort. We had never been here before and once he found our reservation, we asked him which building was the Yacht Club, because there were several buildings in front of us. He pointed and said to park in the lot on the right of him. We did that and since it was early we just walked through the lobby and headed to Epcot. When our room was ready and we walked back, we went to our room first to check it out and found out we were in a totally different resort than the one we had walked through earlier...the Beach Club. Our car was now parked very far away from where we were staying. Super annoyed at the guy at the gate check in. I just looked at our folio for check out and see there is a $25 resort parking fee. I am sure this was disclosed, but I didn't notice it. Now I am even more annoyed at where we parked our car! Overall, a nice resort but at this price, not sure I would do it again. I could stay off properly for 2-3 nights at the same price and have a nice hotel

Yelp
The ambience of this resort is nice and fresh. We had the breakfast/brunch menu for adults and kids and it was delicious it's is $$ and you have to make reservations if you are not staying in the place. The food was great and the waffles are a plus. There's also mimosas at this time and they were fair. We would go back again.

Yelp
If this was 2019 it would be a 5 star review, but it's no longer worth it to pay $500-700 a night for a mediocre hotel that doesn't have any of the perks they had back then. I'd recommend spending that at Something offsite. And the perks that do remain suck - the bus that takes you to the parks no longer take just 15 minutes. It's between 45-1.5 hour now, they are never on time. It's an hour of your life vs $20 Uber. No longer can you go back to your hotel and come back later because you'll spend easily 2 hours waiting for transportation each way. Labor shortage issues obviously. Labor shortage has everyone on a bit testy, it's not like back in the day when every Disney employee was pleasant. Now expect DMV level of service at Disney. Also recycling. I take my time to separate my recyclables just so the cleaning crew can mix them with the trash. WDW is the most unsustainable consumer experience. I would love to change that, pitching here but I'd love to come in and overhaul their sustainability practices.

Yelp
It takes a lot for me to leave a five star review for a resort but Disney Yacht Club deserves it! The staff went above and beyond to make sure our room was clean everyday and keep our toiletries + coffees stacked. We also never encountered a staff member who was unpleasant. Great service all around. The beds and shower were very nice and AC worked amazing. Getting around to the parks was pretty easy too. They have a bus to MK, AK, and Disney Springs. If you want to go to Epcot or Hollywood Studios you can choose to take the Gondolas or the boat. The resort has a lot to offer for everyone of all ages. The pool is massive and pretty spread out with plenty of seating. Multiple hot tubs, a lazy river, pool side bar+food, and a water slide. If you don't feel like swimming they play movies on the beach or you can walk to the boardwalk over the bridge for some night life. The bridge to the boardwalk also offers a nice view of Epcot. Overall a great experience staying here.

Yelp
Recently stayed at the Yacht Club for 3 nights/4 days at Club level. For this experience, and at a very high cost, I did not receive on overall pleasant experience that you would hope you do at this level for Disney. There was no recovery (or in Disney's case, pixie dust) from the hotel when issues arose. I booked a water view resort room, but unfortunately experienced excessive ants on the furniture in the room. I spoke to a staff member in person, called the front desk twice, and housekeeping regarding this issue, and nothing was ever done regarding it. I never even received confirmation that maintenance came or a follow up if it has handled or resolved. I even suggested taking out the piece of furniture, as we were not using it, and the hotel staff did not. Seeing the ants constantly walk on the furniture made it uncomfortable not knowing where else they could be in the room. For the price of the room, and it being on club level, which made it very expensive (especially it being over a holiday, New Year's Eve) was very disappointed that there was no recovery from the hotel, nothing was offered or given to make the experience better. I understand things occur, but how the staff recovers from an issue is what your lasting impression is on your overall experience. The room just felt dirty, seeing ants walk around the room. On the one good note, the staff in the club level room (that supplied the food) was amazing. They truly are the heart of the hotel. If only they could handle room issues, I'm sure it would have been handled differently. One staff member in particular, Nancy, is amazing. She goes above and beyond for guests and it shows. Also, I have some dietary restrictions that left me unable to eat from the selections in the club level, and Nancy brought out the chef on staff to help provide me with options that accommodated my dietary needs. Chef Christian and Chef AJ helped during the nights I was there, and they were willing to provide food options that I was able to eat. I was so appreciative of that, as I've made reservations at Disney restaurants before (indicating dietary restrictions/allergies) and then they won't abide by them, which is highly disappointing. Overall, to have the issues in the room, and never received a solution to fix it or make it right, was very disappointing. There was no recovery and being a Disney deluxe hotel, the hotel should have been able to resolve the big issue in my room. We were not left with any pixie dust this time. Nancy, chef Christian and chef AJ are the only reason I'm giving 2 stars and not 1.

Yelp
I stayed here a couple nights in July, 2022. This is a nice, well maintained resort. They have busses and little boats that take you to Magic Kingdom, Disney Springs and Animal Kingdom. It is a 7 minute walk to Epcot. It is super convenient to stay here when visiting the parks. This resort is 32 years old. It is a little dated but overall nice. The room was very big and the balcony allowed us to see the fireworks from Magic Kingdom. They have several pools. One is winding and fun. I counted 10 lifeguards foe the winding, large pool. I think there were more lifeguards. They take pool safety extremely serious which is great for the kids. They have a couple bars and restaurants here. I didn't eat here. They also have a store that is almost like a convenience store. They sell food and drinks. The staff at check in were so great. They greeted us upon walking into the driveway of the hotel. Everything is well organized and we had a pleasant stay.

Yelp
This location's guest service management needs a serious shake up. I've never experienced such disappointment in the quality of service that is expected of the Walt Disney World resorts. What is supposed to be a Deluxe resort fell even short of what I've experienced at a Value resort. My accommodations were fraught with maintenance issues such as broken appliances and even the HVAC going out in the middle of winter. At no point did management even consider apologizing for the state in which I had to stay in.

Yelp
Wow! I can not sing the praises of this hotel enough. This review will be spilt into 3 parts. They will focus on the room, shopping and dinning, and amenities. Room: The room came very clean and had everything you would need for a vacation including a mini fridge. There's plenty of space for storage. The shower is perfect having both a normal and moveable shower head. The bathroom includes body wash, shampoo, conditioner, facial soap, bar soap, mouthwash, showercap and a vanity kit. The beds are very comfortable. The best part was the view from the balcony of the water! Shopping and dinning: In terms of shopping you really only have the Ale and Compass marketplace. There aren't many options but they do have limited souvenirs and all of the necessities. There are 2 dinning locations. The Ale and Compass market and the Ale and Compass. The market food was decent but picky eaters beware. There isn't many options. There is also a lounge and pool bar. Extra amenities: This hotel shares a pool, water slide, arcade, gym and spa with its connecting hotel the beach club. The pool is amazing! Its not fair to call it a pool when it's the size of a small water park! There's plenty of regular pools, a children's pool complete with sandbar, a whirlpool, a hot tub and a lazy river. The water slide is also super fun. The arcade looked like fun but be aware no prizes will be awarded, the gym looked nice. However the spa was not open due to covid. Overall this hotel is one of the best I've ever stayed at and I'd highly recommend them!

Yelp
The Disney Yacht Club Resort is beautiful and tranquil. As you can guess, it's decor is Nautically themed, but not overly decorated, which I found beautiful. The pools are very nice, the water resembles ocean water and the ship themed slide looks really fun. I didn't stay at this resort, I was there for a pre-Mothers Day brunch, but I did walk around the resort. This resort has a boardwalk that leads to Disneys Beach Club/Boardwalk Resort, the Swan and Dolphin Resorts, EPCOT, and if you're looking for a longer walk, Hollywood Studios. You can also take the Friendship boats to other resorts like The Beach Club, The Swan and Dolphin, and The Boardwalk. You can also take these boats to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios.

Yelp
We've historically stayed at the beach club but tried the yacht club during our last visit. Water view with balcony - Room 3175. The room location was not the quietest but a nice room nonetheless. It was however a great room to watch the fireworks from the balcony. The closet and drawer space was great for our family of four. Great shower. Housekeeping did a great job. We were lucky to score a cabana one day. Very tough to get given the limited availability. Totally worth it. You need one if you are doing a resort pool day. Snacks, drinks, fruit tray, etc.

Yelp
The little I saw, I really enjoyed. This was our portal from the Convention Center which is part of the complex to the ferry over to Epcot. Had lunch here and it was great. Well apportioned and very nice atmosphere, Bit of a hike to the lighthouse to catch the boat but relaxing and enjoyable in any case.

Yelp
First time staying at the Yacht Club and overall it was a good experience. Tiered as a Deluxe Resort on the Walt Disney World (WDW) property, Disney's Yacht Club is one of the main Epcot hotels surrounding the body of water right outside the International Gateway entrance of Epcot. Other hotels in this radius include the adjacent Beach Club Resort and the Boardwalk Inn (located right across Crescent Lake). The Swan and Dolphin properties are also a short distance walk away. This was notable information for me because I Iove to explore the shopping and dining options that are unique to the various WDW hotels. Staying at Disney's Yacht Club made it very convenient to do this during downtime from the park. All resorts are a short walking distance from each other. One could also take the boat across Crescent Lake, although that would probably take longer than to just walk to the properties. A little deceiving, the Disney's Yacht Club Resort is large property. It is one main building with tons of corridors filled with rooms. Depending on the room you are assigned, it could feel like a maze. We were first assigned to a room that was extremely far from the lobby. Visiting with my parents, it is tough for them to walk a far distance, especially after long days at the park. We expressed our concern to the front desk and they were very diligent in trying to reassign us to a new room. The new location we ended up being assigned to was still a little far/confusing, but was close enough to a set of elevators that it made it not seem too bad of a walk to the main lobby. The room itself seemed to be comparable in size to other Deluxe Resorts. Clean, modern, and ample space for a family of four. Our room was always turned down upon our arrival back after a long day at the park and seemed to always be kept in pristine condition. The property itself has a lot of fun things to do if you decide to not stay at the parks all day. They have some great restaurants, movie nights on the "beach," swimming, etc. The only major issue we had with our room was that it was not ready by the 3 PM check in time the day we arrived. It was also not ready by 4 PM. Nor was it ready by 5:30 PM. Our flight came in early, so we arrived at the hotel a little before 3 PM. We completely understood that the room would not be ready until 3 PM. However, after reaching 2.5 hours after the check in time and being extremely late for our dinner reservation, we were very frustrated. To top that off, we had the aforementioned issue of being assigned to a room extremely far from the lobby which made the situation seem worse. In true Disney fashion, management handled all of it well and we were 'compensated' for the issue, and the service we received during our stay was fantastic. Hence, despite the hiccup, I would still rate the hotel a solid 4.5 stars. For those wondering about transportation to the parks, here are your options: EPCOT: Walk or take the boat. Note it may be faster to walk because the boat makes multiple stops. You will enter Epcot through the International Gateway in between the UK and France pavilions. MAGIC KINGDOM and ANIMAL KINGDOM: Bus. Take the free WDW bus transportation to these two parks. The bus stop is right outside the front of the hotel and comes every 15 minutes or so. HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS: Bus, boat, or walk. There is a special walkway that will take you straight to Hollywood Studios. One could also take the Disney Skyliner if you were willing to walk to the gates of International Gateway. WATER PARKS and DISNEY SPRINGS: Bus. *NOTE: The boat pick up for Disney's Yacht Club is right outside the back exit of the hotel toward Crescent Lake. Disney's Yacht Club is a nice and convenient place to stay for those who love Epcot. Despite the minor problems we had, I would still return for a visit here.

Yelp
Its Disney, so its magical and great - well, not all the time. First the good - our room was large, clean and well appointed. The entire staff is "Disney happy and friendly." The food is great - everything was tasty (except the tasteless pastries) and the portions large. However, unless you made reservations well in advance, there is no place to eat. No, not even breakfast. There is the Marketplace, where you can get take out, but service is glacier-like and the staff shows none of the friendly helpfulness that has always marked the Disney experience. The fitness center was a disgrace - it looks fairly well equipped until you actually try to use the equipment. There is a free weight stack but no bench, so most exercises are impossible. The multi-position weight machines cannot be adjusted, and the pulley systems seemingly rusted to one spot. Trying to get a chaise lounge, even on off hours is impossible. People depart, leaving their used towels, but no one ever comes around to clear them, making them unusable. Overall, we were quite disappointed.

Yelp
There's about a 0.0% chance I would've ever stayed here if my work did not have a work conference at this very hotel. Not that I'm complaining, because who would ever complain about a free stay at any Disney resort? Got a room with two queen beds...not entirely sure why I would need two queens for a one-person stay, but ok. It's the first hotel that I've been to that in a long time that had wooden floors. I guess they wanted to go with a yacht theme or combat humidity? No idea. Aside from that, rooms were solid. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was fairly spacious with a walk-in shower. And there was even a balcony...not that I used it much, because my view was the freaking entrance and who wants to deal with all that humidity anyways? Staff here was top notch. They were very friendly, helped me with various items such as my requests for more toiletries, figuring out the entire boardwalk, and how to get to the various Disney parks with the different types of transportation available. No complaints here! Speaking of, not that I expected any less, but it is nice to have consistent and reliable transportation to each of the Disney parks. Can't complain about a free bus to Animal Kingdom or a boat ride to Hollywood Studios! If you're trying to keep your Disney-centric, which I assume you would be if you were staying here, the location of the Yacht Club is great. There's the boardwalk with a ton of food options (use the Disney World app for reservations!). If I had actually chosen to go to Epcot during my stay here, I could've just walked there. And as I mentioned before, all I had to do was take a boat ride on the lake adjacent to the property to get to Hollywood Studios. Again, a little too expensive for my tastes if it were on my own dime. But I definitely enjoyed my stay here.

Yelp
The nautical theme, the resort grounds, the rooms itself, pools and surrounding areas are all fantastic. Everything looked clean and well maintained. Our week long stay mid May would have been a perfect five star review if it wasn't for the following issues. -We were in room 1054. Yes, it's the first floor. Having a view isn't a top priority for me so I didn't mind being on ground level. Although my room did have a side view the Admiral Pool (small quiet pool). What I didn't like was room 1054 is located next to the housekeeping amenity room. This is where they keep all supplies, towels, pillows, blankets and other items in here. During the morning and especially the afternoon, you hear nothing but loud chatters, the amenity door constantly being slammed from opening/closing and their service elevator rumbling. If you're a light sleeper or if you're trying to get an afternoon nap in, forget about it. As mentioned in other reviews, this resort have such thin walls!!!!!!! It's not like people were shouting or screaming, but we can still hear people's "indoor voices" as they walk down the hallway. -This may not be a particular fault from Yacht Club but this is a reason why I strongly dislike mobile online check-in. We did not have any preferences or requests and somehow, two adults who are relatively fit and in-shape got placed in an ADA room. Even worse, our Magicband wasn't able to open the door to begin with. So we STILL had to go back to the front desk to get the Magicband issue and switch out of the ADA room. Get it together, Disney. Let us check in the normal way. It's more personable plus things are less likely to go wrong. Thank goodness McKenzie was the front desk agent that assisted us. She was genuine with her apology even though it was not her fault at all and was sympathetic with our concerns/issues. She even added a bit of "pixie dust" to try to make things right. Besides those issues, everything else was great. We really enjoyed Ale & Compass restaurant so much we went twice during our week long stay. Stormalong Bay pool area was themed and detailed so nicely. We had a great relaxing afternoon there. Never felt crowded, still some lounge chairs available even though it was around 2pm. Our hotel room was clean. No stains on the beddings, sheets, pillows or towels. Everything was fully stocked upon arrival. Every time we needed to take the bus, we never had to wait more than 10 minutes. It was actually less than that during the early morning hour since we like to be at the parks by rope drop. About a 7 min walk to Epcot and 15-20 min walk to Hollywood Studios. Disney's BoardWalk was right across the lake from us so that was great for morning/evening strolls. There's a small bakery shop at the BoardWalk to grab pastries. Once again, beautiful theming and resort grounds. If the price is right, no hesitations to stay here again. Except next time, I will avoid room 1054 and be on the higher floors.

Yelp
Definitely up there on the top 3 places I've ever stayed at, and I can't believe it took me this long to realize that a staycation at one of these resorts is one of the most wonderful leisure moments you can spend if you're a local. I have to admit that what I loved most is that even though it's Disney there weren't a bunch of screaming kids everywhere. I saw older, retired individuals - absolute heaven in my mind because that means peace and tranquility for me. Also school just started up again so you find really good deals during those dates, even more so if you're an annual passholder. If you get there early and your room isn't ready, you can leave your bags at the bellhop desk and they're really helpful and efficient so that you can quickly be off on your adventure. The allure, apart from the beautiful grounds and the lavish lobby is definitely the pool area and the boardwalk that is made to feel as if you're vacationing by the seaside. We arrived early to enjoy the pool and it really is like a mini water park. We joined a group of people playing water volley ball, and then relaxed by floating around in the lazy river. A word of caution, some areas of the lazy river are 7 - 8 feet deep, while others are a minimal 3 feet. I jumped off from my floating ring and sunk right down and the further I went down I realized; "huh, this isn't 3 feet deep" good thing I can swim but.. yeah, be very careful when you get off. I guess it's a good thing the pool area is swarming with lifeguards who are constantly keeping careful watch. I love that there is a sizable and very clean changing area, plus another little area for lockers, there's even a section where someone will hand you a towel while actually sporting a bright smile like you see in the cheesy commercials; now that's service! There's lot's of places to lounge around and if you wander past the bar area, there's another, more private area covered with sand and lounge chairs facing the lake for those who want a more romantic experience. We all dined at Cape May where we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and can't wait to make plans to go back. You can make reservations to eat there or any of the other restaurants on the premises at the front desk like we did. They offer complimentary shuttle services to Disney Springs or any of the parks, but I definitely recommend to take some time and explore the boardwalk, especially at night, it just adds to the magic. Other need to know tips is that if you're driving there's a $24 parking fee, $33 if you choose valet. There's a bakery on the boardwalk that makes excellent breakfast sandwiches and pastries should you decide to forgo the breakfast buffet near the lobby. They have a market also located near the lobby that has items you'd find at a grocery store but keep in mind that they're at inflated disney prices. Relax, enjoy!

Yelp
A really nice hotel. The pool is five stars. It was huge, had a sand bottom and plenty of space to spread out (both in the water and poolside in chairs). The cast members were all incredibly kind and helpful. The rooms were clean and really nice. We were greeted with Mickey shaped towel "art." My only complaint is that there wasn't much for food options if you didn't have a reservation. If you're staying here, make sure you look into those reservations in advance! Also, be sure to take advantage of early entrance to the parks. The hotel is within walking distance of Epcot - right by the entrance to the Ratatouille ride in "France."

Yelp
This was our first time staying at the Yacht Club, and it wouldn't necessarily have been a hotel we would have thought to stay at, but because of an issue with our room at Old Key West, (involving an army of squirrels!) the amazing cast members at OKW and DYC very graciously moved us over to the Yacht Club. We were very pleasantly surprised by the newly renovated room, which was incredibly spacious and full of various storage cabinets, dressers, and cubbies. It was also very luxuriously appointed, and for that price, it should be. The cast members were very friendly and helpful, at the front desk when we had a few snags, they took care of things right away, and the valet and bell service cast members were kind and on the ball. The resort itself is very pretty, and relaxing. The newly renovated Ale and Compass Restaurant, and the accompanying lounge were very inviting. And the bartender at the lounge was incredibly friendly and attentive. The only slightly strange thing, in my opinion, was the "Captain" or "Commodore" (I'm not sure of the proper title) greeting guests in the lobby. Usually the greeters at Disney are super friendly, and really make you feel welcome. The Captain (and there were at least two different men in this role, that I saw) seemed very staid, even stoic when greeting guests. I don't know if that was the point, or what, but it was a little odd. I guess I thought of it as more of a curious novelty, but I know it made my husband feel out-of-place, maybe just because most other Disney cast members are so friendly and enthusiastic, it seemed more pronounced. The best part of the resort though, as to be Storm Along Bay, the giant, multiple pools, replete with sand bottoms, a lazy river, and the biggest resort water slide on property. I did enjoy that they had servers come around to take orders for drinks at the deck chairs and tables too. Storm Along Bay is a huge selling point of this resort, and the Beach Club, which shares the pool with the Yacht Club. And the other great feature of the Yacht Club, is the short walk to Epcot's International Gateway. We took advantage of this several times, as the Food and Wine Festival, then the Festival of the Holidays was going on at Epcot. Overall, this is a lovely resort, which we wouldn't have thought to try, but I'm very glad we did.

Yelp
Not a relaxing time when you are trying to shower in the am, have do not disturb sign up while showering and housekeeping keeps calling others in party (at park) for entrance to room. The sign was out for a reason, we've only been here 18 hours. Had to get out of shower soaking wet to let them in. Happy Mother's Day to me, can't even take a shower.

Yelp
The thing that makes this property a five-star Disney Resort is the same thing that makes it a four-star resort by any other hotel standard: the proximity of the Yacht Club Resort to both EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios (you can walk to either) make the location ideal for a Walt Disney World vacation. However, if your plan is to spend time relaxing and "get away" for some rest, don't plan on sleeping in. Each morning you'll be greeted by a cacophony of horns from the boats in the nearby lagoon departing to and from the resorts to the theme parks. Once you come to accept that element's necessary existence (you are, after all, on a theme park property) then everything else is world class. The room, the grounds and the pools are all set up with the idea that you CAN leave to visit the parks, but you don't have to. As a matter of fact, the more time you spend on the property - the less interested you'll become in fighting crowds at a theme park. It's a great place to "just be" without having to interact with people more than you have to. We checked in automatically via the app and never had to stop by the front desk to do so. It's a stressful world right now, and chilling out at a location like this with minimal required in-person interaction is a great way to "catch your breath". Be prepared to deal with some confusion, however, when making your reservation. The hotel, Guest Services and Disney Reservations are all stuck in cycle of "the other department handles that" while they get their bearings in a COVID-19 world. It took literal hours just to get confirmation on room details prior to check-in.

Yelp
The Beach Club was my favorite Disney resort... until I stayed at Yacht Club! The rooms are recently renovated. I love the laminate flooring vs the carpeting. The beds are raised so you can store your suitcases under the beds. The location can't be beat. You're a 10 minute walk from Epcot and a 15-20 minute walk to Hollywood Studios. Stormalong Bay is arguably the best pool of all the Disney resorts. The sand bottomed pool with lazy river is just awesome.

Yelp
This is a nice resort although I feel like it is a little over priced for what they offer. Yes it is walking distance to Epcot. And you can walk the boardwalk from the resort. The pool area is beautiful and so is the decor in the public areas. The rooms themselves are nice but nothing over the top. I was disappointed in their COVID cleaning protocols for the rooms. I understand they don't want to enter the room once you check in to ensure they don't add other germs, but that was a bit of a downer. For almost 500 a night I don't want to make my own bed... I'm glad I had the opportunity to stay here, but next time I will look for an alternative that may be a little less pricey.

Yelp
We found the Yacht Club to be really clean, well-kept and charming during our trip to Disney. The lobby is really nice and even has a little nook for the kids to watch cartoons while parents check in. The pool area outside is huge and has a few different pools (including a small Lazy River) to choose from. Also, there was a long water slide that my daughter took full advantage of and rode several times. Our room was on the 4th floor and was quite a walk to get to from the only elevator bay in the hotel. The room was really nice and clean. The bathrooms were well stocked with towels and your ordinary accompaniments (shampoos, conditioners, mouthwash, etc.). My Mother got a room on the 5th floor that you needed to have a room key to in order to access it from the elevator. Her room was pretty much the same as mine, but this floor included a lounge that had full breakfast, lunch and deserts throughout the day. During our stay in early October 2022, the housekeeping only came around every other day, which was ok. Of course, I would rather have it every day, but every other was fine and like I said before, we were given ample towels that we had enough to get us through those days that they did not come. The Market close to the lobby had a lot of food and drink options as well as other souvenirs. A close walk to the side entrance to Epcot, or a quick boat ride to Hollywood Studios, we really enjoyed its location. We could see the Epcot fireworks from the hotel every night! Unfortunately, there is no Monorail service by the Yacht Club, but buses run frequently to the other parks like Animal and Magic Kingdom, as well as Epcot and Hollywood Studios. They also run out to Disney Springs. We found our stay to be enjoyable at the Yacht Club and would recommend it for people who want a nice stay at a Disney Resort hotel that is very Disney themed, but maybe less than others on the Disney property.

Yelp
Beautiful place to stay. Lots of friendly helpful staff!!! Very clean rooms!! Fun pool. Very close to the back of Epcot Highly Recommend

Yelp
The location is outstanding. You can walk into the backside of Epcot to enter the park. Plus, you can walk to the restaurants and bars in front of the Boardwalk Hotel. The inside of the Yacht Club looks nice. The lounge is small but it works. It's worth stopping by for a late evening whiskey drink. The spare blanket was obviously dirty but it had the clean plastic seal so that was a little disappointing. We had the room behind the elevator with a water view. The view was awesome but the elevator was pretty loud. We heard it 24/7.

Yelp
We enjoyed our stay here ! We were only here for 1 night then we moved to the Grand Floridian. Loved walking the boardwalk at night. Hotel was nice. Rooms were spacious & clean . Hated our view !! Had a view of the parking lot . Conveniently close to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. We absolutely loved the pool!! So much fun in the lazy river & slide . Kids had a blast. I would love to stay here again but with a pool view, definitely. Service was outstanding!! They really aimed to please . Love..

Yelp
This is a really nice resort in almost every other way. The staff is very cordial; however, there is something seriously wrong with house keeping. Maybe they are understaffed or management is not paying g attention. We are on our 4th day, and our room still hasn't been cleaned. I was told it would be ever other day, but our first cleaning day was skipped...we weren't told why... and yes the occupied sign was taken off the door. We were out today until 3:45, but still no cleaning. We were just given more towels, coffee and condements, which is commendable. We are staying here a few more days, so maybe if I keep calling house keeping we'll get lucky. I'll update at the end of our stay.

Yelp
Stayed here for a work conference and fell in love with it. The rooms are clean and I believe newly updated. The resort has quite a few restaurants on site and is connected to the beach club resort via walkways. Food and drinks are pricey inside the hotel but welcome to Disney. I stayed on the first floor for this work conference with a pool view. There was a balcony to sit out on and enjoy the view. Epcot is within walking distance and there is transportation to the other parks. Not sure of what is nearby as again this was for a work conference and we stayed at the parks majority of the time. Would recommend.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the cleanliness, space and organization of this hotel. I didn't find this hotel to be ideal for trying to feed a toddler but aside from that I think the hotel was a good space with a great pool! Our room was not ready at 5 pm upon arrival so we were moved to a king room (nice!) but no tub was there for our 2 year old to take a bath. The staff was less than helpful in changing my opinion on the disappointment in the lack of hot food options for lunch as I was Told "we were never really a lunch place so I'm bit sure what you expected" after I assumed it was due to covid. I've stayed in places outside of Disney/Florida with better customer service. I think I'd give a better review If I were traveling with adults only.

Yelp
We stayed here for 3 nights 12/30 to 1/2/2020 and transferred over from the Beach Club. Our stay was great. The Yacht Club is a lot more chill than the Beach Club and probably a better hotel for an adults only vacation. Our room was clean but so so far from the elevator. I probaby walked over 1500 steps just to get to my room. After a long day at the parks, I just want to get to my room. When I stay here next time, I'm going to request for a room close to the elevators so it doesn't take me over a thousand steps to get to my room. The Yacht/Beach club share a pool which we love! My little guy loved the pool and we spent new years day at the pool just hanging out. They have a marketplace that serves quick breakfasts, lunch and dinner. There's a ton of grab and go choices as well. We didn't get to try any of the restaurants at Yacht Club but will the next time we stay here. Our stay was great. Everyone was really friendly and accommodating. Love how close it is to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios.
